The opening promo was good, but it wasn't written that good, if you understand what I'm saying. Surprised to see RVD in WWF in 1998 and although I dislike his team with Martin, it should be interesting. Not a fan of Faarooq winning a Title shot as I never was a fan of his. What happened to The Rock? Surprised again to see Angle here so early, but I like that he won. NAO posing as LOD is something I totally can see them doing, and I'm glad Cactus won. Great main event, I love the Vader push and the main event for OTE looks amazing Decent Raw, you still have some work to do for a 1998 Raw, but you're going in the right direction. He was injured last month, and it ed up my plans completely.

Too Much def. The New Blackjacks Scorpio def. Brakkus Chainsaw Charlie def. TAFKA Goldust via DQ after Luna attacked Charlie. Luna then challenged Charlie to a match! Chainsaw Charlie def. Luna Vachon via Countout after Luna ran off when Charlie tried to strip her attire. Jeff Jarrett def. Marc Mero SATURDAY, MAY 9th 1998-WWF has scrapped Shotgun as it's been getting low ratings and hasn't been helping at all. A new show will air Saturday June 6 th at 8 PM EST on the USA Network. We're not sure what the name is yet, but we plan to find out on Raw -WWF is going to build up some lower carders as the Intercontinental Title scene is looking weak, with only Faarooq and Sean Waltman being the only contenders in the division, with Triple H, Owen Hart, and Cactus Jack involved with the European title. -WWF is reported to have officially come up with a King of The Ring winner. That person is expected to earn a WWF Title shot.

WWF @ Cincinnati, OH - Cincinnati Gardens - May 11th, 1998The pyro kicks off on Monday Night Raw and we are then greeted by JR and Jerry Lawler. They hype up Over The Edge next weekend and let us know that tonight Cactus Jack, Chainsaw Charlie, and The Legion Of Doom take on DX! Austin’s actions have finally caught up on himThe arena quickly goes dark before a gong is heard. The Undertaker then makes his way out to the ring to all the cheers. The lights turn on and he grabs a microphone. He says that last week Austin was in enough trouble with having the Owner of the WWF trying to take him out. Taker then says that now he is in even bigger trouble, because he’s in trouble with The Deadman himself. Because last week after Taker extended a hand to him, Austin gave him only one little finger before hitting him with the stunner. Taker says that he hopes Austin knows that one little finger is the start of his eternal damnation. The theme song of Vince McMahon then hits and he comes marching down with not only Vader, but the police! He hopes in the ring and grabs a microphone. He says that last week when Taker gave him that chokeslam he was ready to fire him! But instead he’s going to give him a match with Vader tonight with no rules! That’s right a No Holds Barred match! Vince then tells Undertaker to get the hell out of the ring before he’s fired. Taker only smirks at this and he goes out of the ring. Vince looks a little perplexed before calling out Stone Cold Steve Austin. The champ makes his way down to the ring and Vince starts to talk again. He says that he is tired of Austin assaulting him over and over! He says that he has these police officers with him, because he’ll press charges the next time Austin lays a finger on him! Austin then grabs a microphone, but Vince swats it out of his hands! Austin looks pissed as Vince says he’s not going to allow Austin to talk unless he stops with all his rudeness and foul language, because he will not have such a disgraceful person as a champion! That seemed to light a spark in Austin and he tackled Vince to the ground! He starts to punch him until Vader grabs him, but Austin then hits a Stunner on him! The police then go to Austin but he starts nailing them with punches! The crowd is going crazy until more Police and Security come down and outnumber Austin. Austin tries to fight them off, but they are finally able to get the handcuffs on him. Vince then hells at them to get him the hell out of the arena! The take him out of the arena and put him in the police car. Vince then walks up to the car and shouts at Austin this is what he deserves and that he is the worst champion to ever hold a WWF title! Vince tells them to drive off and they do, leading Raw to a commercial break. BreakWe come back to see a reply of what just happened. What will happen that now the WWF Champion is in jail? JR and King are talking about the incident that just went down. King says that Austin deserved it, but JR says that Vince provoked Austin to hit him! King then says that Austin is just a disgraceful person that belongs in jail. JR then says we have to roll on with the show and now we get to see some tag team action to kick off Raw. Kurt Angle and Jeff Jarrett def. Steve Blackman and Scorpio A good match that also has some history to it. Kurt Angle topped Scorpio a few weeks ago in his debut and Blackman has been chasing Jarrett for months. Blackman wanted to start thing off with Jeff, but Angle hit him from behind to start off the match. The two teams went back and forth for a good six minutes, and Scorpio looked great in this match. It looks like he might be able to recover from this slump he’s in. In the end Blackman was setting up for the Lethal Kick on Angle when Jeff tripped him. Angle then took a cheap shot on Scorpio and hit the Angle Slam on Blackman for the three. After the match Angle celebrated his win by waving the American flag up the stage. Steve got up and was enraged by a laughing Lee and Jarrett. Blackman then went after him and Jeff got away, but Lee didn’t! Blackman threw him in the ring and locked in the Guillotine Choke. He then took a microphone, handed to him by a ref, and told Jeff he wouldn’t let go unless he accepted a match with him at Over The Edge. Jeff didn’t want to do it at first, but he eventually gave in. Blackman then got off and kicked Lee out of the ring. The crowd cheered before we went to a video hyping Over The Edge. Live, Next Sunday night at 8pm EST! BreakKevin Kelly is standing by with Rob Van Dam and Andrew Martin. He asks them what exactly is this whole mission they are on to get rid of the crap in the WWF? Van Dam says that he is Mr. Monday Night, and he is the whole damn show. And he’s not going to have crap, like this crappy lightweight division, on his show. So he’s going to take out the champion tonight, and will be one step closer to making Raw crap free. Taka Michinoku def, Rob Van Dam(w/Andrew Martin)A fun match here as these two put on a great fast paced battle. Van Dam taunted Taka at the start of the match, but Taka answered his mocking with a kick right to the side of the head! The two then started to fly across the ring awing the crowd. The best spot was probably when Van Dam did a double legged split moonsault off the top rope to Taka on the floor! The ending came when Van Dam hit rolling thunder on Taka and covered for only a two. While he augured with the ref Taka gave a dropkick to Martin and rolled Van Dam up for the three! Post match Taka celebrated on the ramp with is title as Van Dam and Martin looked angry in the ring. Van Dam then yells at Martin as they walk up the ramp. A video hypes our latest T-Shirts, including Steve Austin, Undertaker, and Ken Shamrock. BreakWe come back to Raw to see DX being interviewed by Michael Cole in their locker room. Michael Cole asks DX about their actions last week in mocking The Legion of Doom and Mankind. Triple H responds by saying that because they can, and will do whatever they want. Cole then asks him what gives them the right to do that. Triple chuckles as he motions for Billy Gunn to walk over, and then Gunn gives him a huge wedgie! While Cole tried to recuperate; Sean Waltman gave him a super kick! Triple H then throw him out of the room and shut the door. We then went to the ring where The D.O.A. was standing. The NWA Faction(w/Jim Cornette) def. The D.O.A.Not that great of a match, and it was kind of a dud. Halfway through the match The Rock N’ Roll express walked onto the stage, distracting Bart, allowing Chainz to give him a big boot! The ending of the match came when Bob hit a Alabama Slam on Skull for the three count. Post match The Rock N’Roll express challenged the New Midnight Express to a NWA Tag Team Title match at Over the Edge. Jim Cornette then grabbed the microphone and said that The New Midnight Express accepts, and that at Over the Edge, they are going to finally end The Rock N’Roll express’s career! BreakBackstage we see Kevin Shamrock preparing for his match with Mark Henry coming up in a Pick Your Poison match, up next! We then cut to the ring to see Chainsaw Charlie standing in the ring. He has a microphone and says he’s getting tired of being treated the way he’s been getting treated as of late. Last week he got beat up by a couple of punks, and on Shotgun he had to wrestle a woman! Charlie said that he is a legend, and this stupid gimmick is not for him. He is not Chainsaw Charlie, he is Terry Funk! He then rips off his red shirt to show a Terry Funk T-Shirt! The crowd cheers as Terry Funk walks up the ramp before The Nation of Domination comes out. Mark Henry(w/The N.O.D.) def. Ken ShamrockA fair battle here after the half way point of Raw. It was interesting with the strength of both men. The match started off with Henry having control of Shamrock until Shamrock escaped a Military Press Slam and hit a giant belly to bell suplex on Henry! The two went back and forth from there until Shamrock locked in the ankle lock on Henry. Kama and D-Lo distracted the ref allowing Faarooq to come in and smack Shamrock with a chair! Faarooq took the chair out of the ring while D-Lo and Kama jumped down. Henry then hit a splash on Shamrock and covered for the three. After the match Faarooq came in the ring and hit a Dominator on Shamrock. He then covered him and D-Lo made the “three count.” Faarooq then took the Intercontinental title and held it up high over the fallen Shamrock. Break
DX(w/Chyna) drew Cactus Jack, Terry Funk, and the Legion of Doom(w/Sunny)Jeez, this was a chaotic match up. It got the crowd really pumped as the four men going up against DX only had one thing on their mind, revenge. The bell rings and all four men go after their rivals until the ref is able to control this thing. Once the ref gets things settled the two teams go back and forth for about 7 minutes. At the end of the match up Triple H was beating down on Terry Funk and mocking Cactus Jack. Cactus had enough of this and came into the ring and took Triple H down! All the other competitors ran into the ring and a giant brawl erupted! Cactus and Triple H took the battle outside the ring and into the crowd. Cactus picked up a fan’s chair and chased Triple H to the back with it! Meanwhile in the ring Sean stomped on Funk until Hawk dumped him over the top rope to the floor. Meanwhile, The Outlaws grabbed chairs and looked to whack the L.O.D. again, but this time they ducked and kicked the chairs into their faces! They rolled out of the ring as L.O.D. stood tall in the ring, leading Raw to fade to a video. A video plays with various clips of wrestlers fighting with flames as the background. At the end of the video the fire explodes to show a graphic saying “Sunday Night Heat” airing June 7th at 7:00 EST PM. Backstage Paul Bearer is talking to Kane. He says next week is Kane’s big chance to win the WWF Championship and in the process he will be able to take out The Undertaker! Oh Yes! He says that he could see it now, and that evil man will be gone from existence! The Undertaker vs. Vader, next! Break
Vader def. The UndertakerA good main event to close the show, as both men looked to get an edge going to “Over the Edge.” Vince came down to the ring halfway through the match, looking very pleased at the events earlier in the night. The two battled back and forth and it even spilled to the outside when Vader give Undertaker a powerbomb through a table! The match ending came when Undertaker hit a huge chokeslam on Vader and covered him, but then Vince hopped on the apron! While the ref was distracted, Kane and Paul Bearer came out, and Kane give Undertaker a tombstone! Kane put Vader’s arm over his brother’s before sliding out of the ring! Vince jumped down and the ref made the three count. Post match Vince hopped in the ring and raised Vader’s arm in victory. Kane looked on as Paul yelled at the Undertaker. The show closed out with Vince and Vader celebrating, as Vince McMahon has had a perfect night, if you would say so.

SATURDAY, MAY 16th 1998-WWF can't wait to get Heat rolling in two weeks because they feel that some of their talent is getting wasted on Shotgun and a show that is available out of 1 region will be better to build up stars -WWF feels like that their latest Raw was one of their best in recent memory, and got the highest rating in a while. It scored a 5.12 while Nitro scored 5.32 -Wow, that's all I got this week.

-Austin was a real bad -Angle and Blackman over Jarrett and Scorpio is good for Blackman finally getting some revenge. -Michinoku over RVD is a decent call here, either way. -NWA Faction over DOA was the right call here and good for the NWA Faction push. -Henry over Shamrock is the right call either way. But it seemed realistic here. -Big, cluttered matchup here. Liking the post-match brawl and LOD standing tall was good. -Vader over Undertaker was a good save for him considering he lost to Austin already. Kane costing him is great. Vince McMahon's perfect night will I bet be over by next week. -Good show; Over the Edge looks good and I'm loving these storylines so far.

WWF @ Nashville, TN - Arena - May 18, 1998 The pyro kicks off before we are greeted by JR and Jerry Lawler. They announce that tonight DX takes on Cactus Jack, Terry Funk, and L.O.D. again this week, but this time, it’s no disqualification! Also, Vince McMahon has something to say about the WWF Title after Austin was arrested last week!
Vince McMahon is greeted by a nice little surprise The theme of Vince McMahon hits and he makes his way out with the cops and security from last week. He’s holding the WWF Title and hops in the ring. He grabs a microphone and he says that last week you all know that he had Stone Cold Steve Austin thrown in jail for assaulting him. And because Austin is in jail, he will not be able to defend his WWF title for quite some time, so he is striping Austin of that title! And next Sunday Taker, Kane, and Vader will fight out to detriment the new WWF Champion! Vince smirks and head out, but then a black truck appears pulling into the parking lot on the titantron, and it says Austin 3:16 on it! Vince is in shock as Austin rides his truck right out to ringside! The crowd is going absolutely nuts as he climbs out of truck and stands on the roof of hit. He calls for a mic and is thrown one. Vince asks him how the hell did he get out of jail, and Austin says that he was bailed out. Vince asks who it was, but Austin says that person will remain anonymous because they went to remain safe. Austin then tells Vince to hand over his WWF title. Vince says he’ll never do it, so then Austin drops the mic and jumps off the truck and then he takes Vince down! He drills him with right after left until the cops pull Austin off and handcuff him. They are going to take him out of the ring, but Vince tells them to stop. Vince says as much as he wants to see Austin rot in jail, he’d rather see him in pain! So he won’t press charges and instead, he’ll face Kane tonight! Vince smiles evilly as Raw faded to a break.
Break
We come back to Raw to see a replay of Vince McMahon booking Stone Cold versus Kane tonight.
Backstage we see Stone Cold holding his head pacing around. Kevin Kelly walks up and asks Austin what he thinks of having to face Kane tonight in the main event. Austin says that he felt that Vince was going to pull something like this a month ago with Vader, and you know what happened? Austin beat him one two three. And tonight he’ll do the same exact thing.
Kurt Angle def. Steve Blackman A great opening contest here on Raw, and Kurt Angle was really able to show off his talent here. The match started off with the two locking up in a grapple format. Angle quickly took the advantage, but couldn’t keep it for too long as Blackman nailed him with a huge roundhouse kick. The two went back and forth for a few more minutes getting the crowd into Raw until Jeff Jarrett and Tennessee Lee ran to ringside. Blackman then went to go outside of the ring to chase them, but Angle came from behind and hit an Angle slam for the three!
Post match Angle celebrated while Blackman woke up. He looked furious and went after Jarrett and Lee. He chased them around ringside, then into the crowd, and then backstage. Blackman chased them all over the arena, including bathrooms, concession stands, and into the parking lot. Jeff and Lee got into a car and drove away as Blackman looked furious at them getting away.
Break
We come back to Monday Night Raw to see Andrew Martin and Rob Van Dam making their way out to the ring.
Andrew Martin(w/Rob Van Dam) def. Taka Michinoku VIA DQ An okay match here, but it seemed like these two really couldn’t click in this match. The match started off with Andrew Martin pounding on the Lightweight Champion until he hit an enziguri on Martin. Taka was then able to get a lot of high flying offenses in until Martin caught him in mid air and nailed a powerbomb! In the end of the match Taka went to the top rope, but was tripped by Van Dam, causing him to fall off. Van Dam then hoped the apron, distracting the ref, allowing Martin to grab a chair. He was going to whack Taka, but Justin Bradshaw ran out to the ring and kicked the chair into Martin’s face! The ref turned around to see Martin down and Bradshaw standing up. He then rang the bell, to the dismay of Taka and Bradshaw.
Bradshaw tried to explain what happened, but then Martin hit him from behind! Martin then took Taka and hit a pump handle slam, allowing Van Dam to go to the top rope and hit the Five Star Frog Splash.
Backstage Faarooq, Mark Henry, and Kama Mustafa are in their locker room. D-Lo comes rushing in and Faarooq asks him what’s going on. D-Lo says he knows who Shamrock picked for Faarooq to face tonight. D-Lo whispers it into his ear and Faarooq looks shocked and yells are you kidding me? D-Lo shakes his head no as Faarooq looks in disbelief. Raw then fades into a break.
Break
A video hypes WWF Heat, premiering next Sunday at 7 P.M. EST. The Rock N’Roll Express def. Too Much A filler match here, but this was just trying to get The Rock N’Roll Express on TV before what the NWA Faction calls their last match this Sunday. Jim Cornette and The New Midnight Express took a ringside seat to this match up. Too Much looked pretty good here in a rare Raw appearance, but in the end The Rock N’Roll Express was able to gain a victory before heading into Over the Edge.
After the match The NWA Faction gave the Rock N’Roll Express a standing ovation and Cornette told the crowd to stand up and give these guys a great ovation because this will be the last time they see them on free TV.
Backstage Faarooq is pacing around uneasy; he’s going up against Ken Shamrock’s handpicked opponent next!
Break
Backstage Justin Bradshaw got stopped by Kevin Kelly. Kevin asked him why he helped Taka Michinoku earlier tonight when Andrew Martin and Rob Van Dam were using the number advantage on him. Justin responds by saying that he’s not going to stand around and allow guys like Martin and Van Dam to come in and take over this show by using cheap tactics. He says that now it’s going to be a fair fight.
The Nation makes their way down to the ring for Faarooq’s match. Ken Shamrock then makes his way down to the ring and picks up a chair. He sits in it and smirks, as the arena turns dark! The Undertaker’s theme hits and he makes his way out to the ring!
The Undertaker def. Faarooq(w/The N.O.D.) with Ken Shamrock at ringside Well, now we know why Faarooq looked worried earlier tonight, and we also know that Undertaker has to be in a foul mood after last week. This was actually a pretty good match and Faarooq held his ground against the former WWF champion. Taker started the match off strong, but Faarooq was able to duck a big boot and hit a clothesline, shifting momentum. The two battled back and forth until Faarooq raked Taker’s eyes and went for the Dominator, but then Shamrock assaulted the Nation! Shamrock drove Henry into the ring post, threw Kama over the announce table, and hit a belly to belly on D-Lo! Faarooq was distracted by this, but when he turned around, Undertaker planted him with a Tombstone for the three count!
The Undertaker posed in the ring over the fallen Faarooq while Shamrock looked on from ringside in pleasure.
Break
We come back to Monday Night Raw to see JR and King talking. JR announces that he has just received word that if Austin does not win his match up against Kane tonight, he would have to reveal who gave him bail to get him out of jail. D-Generation X then makes their way out to the ring for our first main event of the night! Cactus Jack, Terry Funk, and the Legion of Doom(w/Sunny) def. D-Generation X(w/Chyna) in a No Disqualification match Wow, what a chaotic match! From the get go these eight men erupted into a giant, uncontrollable brawl. This match went on for about a good ten minutes, getting the crowd crazy in our double main event. A few spots included Cactus Jack giving Triple H and elbow drop through the announcer’s table, Billy Gunn hitting a pile driver on Hawk onto a garbage can, and Terry Funk choking Road Dogg over the top rope with a camera wire! In the end of this chaotic match Cactus Jack and Triple H were battling in the ring, L.O.D. and the Outlaws had battled up the stage and into the back, and Sean Waltman had taken himself and Terry Funk out with a moonsault through a table. Chyna climbed into the ring while Cactus went for a pile driver, which distracted him, allowing Triple H to hit a low blow! He then set up for a pedigree, but Cactus pushed him off into Chyna! When Triple H came back, Cactus gave him a double armed DDT onto a chair! He then pinned him for the three!
Cactus celebrated in the ring before grabbing the European Title Belt, but then Sean Waltman and Chyna jumped him from behind! The stomped on him until Triple H got up and drilled him down with a pedigree on the European title. The three stand tall as we fade to a break.
Break
A video shows off the latest WWF T-shirts, before Kane and Paul Bearer make their way out to the ring for our main event!
Stone Cold Steve Austin def. Kane(w/Paul Bearer) A good match here that lasted about 12 minutes, as this was the seconded main event of the night. The bell rang and Austin jumped on Kane from the start and hammered in rights and lefts. Austin tired to keep him down, but Kane was able to fight back and took control of the match with a big boot. The two men battled back and forth for a while and halfway through the match Vince McMahon walked down and joined JR and King. He said that one way or another he is going to find out who gave Austin bail out of jail. In the end of the match Kane had his hand around Austin’s throat, but then the lights went out! When they came back on, Kane was knocked out on the ground! Austin then gave Vince the finger and pinned Kane for the three!
Post match Austin celebrated, but Paul Bearer came from behind and hit Austin with the urn! Kane then sat up and stomped on Austin, but then The Undertaker came out to the ring! The two brothers decked it out until Vader came out to the ring and hit a giant double clothesline! He then hit the Vader Bomb on both men and then gave Austin one. Vader posed with the belt as Vince McMahon clapped and said that will be seen again next Sunday! Please excuse if I wrote that Over the Edge is this Sunday, I got dates mixed up. I think I fixed it all, but I don't know. Also, please let me know what layout you prefer.

-Good promo to kick off RAW. I bet this will haunt McMahon. Kane/Austin should be good though. -Angle over Blackman was pretty good and I suspected a Jarrett interference. -Andrew Martin could be one of your big weapons on RAW. Liking his new push now. -Rock N' Roll winning was decent. Nothing wrong here. -The Undertaker over Faarooq was great. I like to see that match in real-life. Good result. -Looked like a match to get everyone on the card. But it was some decent hype towards Over the Edge with the right result. -Great main event, expected Austin to win but wished Kane won as Austin will most likely retain. Anyways, pretty decent matchup here. -Good show; very realistic unfold and preview of what to see at Over the Edge.

WWF @ Toronto, Ontario - Skydome - May 25, 1998The pyro kicks off on Raw is War as we are greeted by JR and Jerry Lawler. Jim Ross says that tonight Vince McMahon has a special message for The Undertaker and Steve Austin, two men that have crossed him greatly in the past.
Vince McMahon stacks the odds against Undertaker and Austin and Austin fights right back Vince McMahon makes his way to the ring with Vader and security guards. He grabs a microphone and states that last week Vader showed everyone what will happen at Over the Edge. He’ll take out Kane, Undertaker, and Steve Austin one by one and get the 1.2.3 to win the WWF Championship! The crowd showers Vince and Vader with boos, but Vince just keeps on talking. He says that in the past couple of weeks Austin and The Undertaker have really hit a nerve in him. So tonight, he plans on hitting a nerve in them only six days before the WWF title match at Over the Edge. Tonight, not only will the two team up to face Vader and Kane, but there is going to be another “unit” added to the team of Vader and Kane. So tonight, it’ll be a handicap match! Vince smiles as the theme song of Steve Austin hits and he drives his truck right down to ringside again! Vader and security step in front of Vince as Austin gets in the ring and grabs a microphone. Austin says he wishes McMahon would stop hiding behind people, like that ape Vader, and start fighting his own battles. Now tonight, he goes on, Vince is sending out even more than two people to take him out. Austin then says how about Vince McMahon takes care of his own business and faces him in the ring tonight! Vince gets on the microphone and shouts at Austin “NO NO NO! I’M NOT A WRESLTER YOU IDOIT! I’M NOT GOING TO FACE YOU!” Austin then puts his head down, and when he picks back up, Vader hits a cheap big boot! Austin staggers, but he hit the Lou Thez press and starts pounding on Vader! Security gets Austin off as Vince and Vader scram and Raw fades to a break.
Break
We return to Raw to see The Nation making their way down to the ring. D-Lo faces Ken Shamrock tonight in hopes of beating him down before Faarooq faces him this Sunday.
Intercontinental Champion Ken Shamrock def. D-Lo Brown A good opening match here on Raw, which saw D-Lo quickly take Ken off his feet with a dropkick. D-Lo pounded on Shamrock until Shamrock fought him off and hit a huge clothesline! D-Lo got up and Shamrock threw him out of the ring. Shamrock then followed him in threw him right into the ring post! Shamrock then taunted D-Lo as he staggered to his feet. The two went back and forth when Shamrock had hit a belly to belly on D-Lo. Kama then hopped on the apron and Shamrock kicked him off, sending him crashing into the other Nation members! D-Lo then rolled Shamrock up, but as soon as he hit it, Shamrock countered it into an Ankle Lock! D-Lo had no choice but to tap.
Shamrock celebrated his victory until Faarooq, Henry, and Kama ran into the ring. The tripled team Shamrock until D-Lo got up and grabbed a chair. D-Lo then tossed the chair to Faarooq while Henry and Kama held Shamrock. Faarooq then nailed Shamrock with the chair busting him wide open! The Nation posed as we faded to a break.
Break
Backstage Kevin Kelly is talking to Kurt Angle in the locker room. Angle says that he’s pissed that he has to be stuck in the middle of Blackman and Jarrett all of a sudden. He says he should be doing his own things, he’s an Olympic gold medalist, and that he should be facing Austin this Sunday, no this three freak of natures! Angle then states he’s going to run through the whole roster until he gets what he wants. “Oh it’s real, it’s damn real.”
Kurt Angle def. Scorpio A good match here, which saw Scorpio get more offense than he usually gets. Angle quickly took control of the match up grounding Scorpio, but Scorpio was able to kick him off and hit a huge dropkick! Angle slid out of the ring, but then Scorpio hit a suicide dive on him! The crowd went nuts as Scorpio stomped on Angle over and over again. These two fought back and forth until Angle caught Scorpio on the top rope and hit a super angle slam for the three!
We see a video promoting the latest WWF T-Shirts and then one hyping up Over The Edge, Live on PPV This Sunday!
Break
We come back to see Andrew Martin and Rob Van Dam talking backstage. Rob seems very happy about last week and tells Martin to keep up the great work. He then hands him something that can’t be seen by the camera as Van Dam has his back to it. Van Dam says that tonight it’s time to take out Bradshaw to make sure the job is done this Sunday.
Rob Van Dam and Andrew Martin def. Taka Michinoku and Bradshaw A decent tag match here, but really just was build up to Taka/Van Dam this Sunday. Taka wanted to start off with Van Dam, but Martin hit him from behind to kick off the match. Martin man handled Taka for a few minutes until he hit a big super kick and went to tag in Bradshaw. Van Dam acted quickly though, and kicked Bradshaw in the face before Taka could get to him. The match was more of an handicap from there, until Taka was able to fight both of them off and tag in Bradshaw! He was on fire until Martin hit him with a cheap boot and Rob hit the Frog Splash for the three.
Van Dam and Martin celebrated their win as we faded backstage. DX was walking backstage and apparently they have a message to the WWF, next!
Break
DX make their way out to the ring not looking to happy after last week’s lost. Hunter grabs a microphone and begins talking. He states that last week everyone is betting on him to lose this Sunday after Cactus pinned him in the ring. Hunter then says that without a doubt that was a fluke victory! Irate, he says that Cactus is nothing, but some dumbass that jumps off the roof of his house! He then goes on saying he has three reasons why Cactus will not beat him this Sunday, one, he has less brain cells than teeth, two, he’s fat, and three, the guy can only win a match if there are weapons involved! Hunter says that he plans to make an example out of Terry Funk up next.
Triple H vs. Terry Funk went to a no contest Funk came out to the ring and started to unload shot after shot on Triple H! The crowd went nuts as Hunter slid out of the ring. Funk followed him to the outside, but Hunter then threw him into the ring steps! The ref tried to get them back in the ring, but Bad Ass Billy Gunn super kicked him! Soon, The L.O.D. and Cactus Jack run out to the ring! The Outlaws and L.O.D. battle up the ramp way while Cactus attacks Sean and they go into the ring. Meanwhile Funk rips apart the announce table and throws Triple H on it! He goes up as well, but Hunter hits a low blow! He then pedigrees Funk right through the table! Security then rushes out to brake this up as we go to a break!
Break
We see a replay of Hunter pedigring Funk through the table. It shows that Funk landed awkwardly on his leg. We then cut to JR and King, and JR informs us staff is checking on Funk on the spot. Tom Brandi then makes is way out to the ring.
Jeff Jarrett def. Tom Brandi Nothing more than a squash here. Jeff worked on Brandi for a few minutes before locking in the figure four making him tap out.
Tennessee Lee then got on the mic and told the world Steve Blackman will suffer the same fate this Sunday! He says this is Steve’s last chance to get at Jeff, one way or another! He goes on saying he will pay for his reckless actions! Jeff then continues to assault on Brandi until Steve runs down to the ring with a kendo stick! Jeff pushes Lee and runs! Lee is shocked and Steve hits him with the kendo stick! Blood runs down Lee’s head as Jeff backs up the ramp astonished.
Backstage Stone Cold is sitting on a bench when Kevin Kelly walks in. He questions Austin on why did he challenge Vince McMahon to a match earlier tonight? Austin just stares at Kevin before finally saying that he made his point clear, but some people are just to stupid to understand anything. He then goes on to say that Stone Cold has taken out everyone Vince has throw at him from DX to The Ape to Kane! Austin says that it’s time Vince grows a pair and steps up to the plate. Austin says that whoever else is going to be on the other side of the ring tonight, better be ready to get an ass kicking, and that’s the bottom line, because Stone Cold said so!
Break
A video hypes up Heat, premiering this Saturday at 8/7c, on The USA Network!
Stone Cold makes his way out to the ring followed by The Undertaker. The theme of Vince McMahon’s hits and he comes out with Vader, Kane, and Paul Bearer. They wait on top of the ramp as the theme of The New Age Outlaws hits! Road Dogg gets the microphone and says: “Oh you didn’t know? We are the “unit” Vince was talking about earlier!” The crowd boos as JR says this is wrong and it’s a damn set up!
The New Age Outlaws, Kane, and Vader def. Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Undertaker This was still a pretty good main event despite it being a four on two handicap match. Austin started the match off attacking Gunn and throwing him out the ring! Road Dogg then attacked him from behind, but after a while Austin threw him over the top too! The luck didn’t last too long for Austin and Taker as the number advantage quickly caught up to them. In the end of the match taker was in the ring with Vader. Taker wrapped his hand around Vader’s throat, and chokeslammed him! The crowd went nuts, but Kane attacked Taker and The Outlaws attacked Austin. Taker fought back against Kane, but Kane raked the eyes and hit a Tombstone! Then, Vader hit the Vader Bomb and pinned him for the three!
The Outlaws got back into the ring and celebrated with the two monsters. Kane and Vader ended up in a intense stare down and the Outlaws slowly left the ring. Kane hit Vader with a giant uppercut, and Vader fought back with a punch. The tow got into a brawl until Kane grabbed Vader by the throat and hit a chokeslam! Kane picked up Austin’s title and raised his arms up, and brought them back down to have fire come out of the ring posts. Kane held the title up high as Raw faded to black.

-Loving the build of Vader and Austin. McMahon's support for Vader was expected and could lead to Vader's title reign. -Ken Shamrock over D-Lo Brown was the right call as Shamrock's feud with Blackman is still going and its a good way for him to rebound. -Angle over Scorpio was the right call to keep his push. -The tag match looked basically to hype RVD/Taka here. -Triple H really took a notch up with his post-match attack and dirty moves on Terry Funk. -Jarrett over Brandi was predicted. -A big main event. Couldn't see Austin and Undertaker winning, but glad they put up a fight. -Good show; some decent progression towards the Over the Edge PPV. Keep it up. Good luck bringing it back.

The Vader/Austin feud is building very nicely. I love Vince backing Vader due to his past with Austin and I would love to see Vader win the WWF Championship. Fine opener, I absolutely loved Ken Shamrock so I'm all for Shamrock winning. No surprise to see Kurt go over Scorpio. Van Dam pinning Bradshaw kept Taka strong. Triple H/Funk doesn't interest me. Jarrett over Brandi was the right call. Fine main event, kind of surprised that Austin/Undertaker didn't win, to be honest. Too many heels won matches on the show, Shamrock being the only face to win..

I must say this is a pretty good diary from what I have skimmed through. Over the Edge looks to be a very good show. Its great to see Vader involved in a main event feud in 1998.
Pretty good opening segment stacking the odds against Austin and Taker. Basic but very effective. Good win for Shamrock over D’Lo. Interesting to see Kurt Angle in the WWF over a year before his actual debut in the company. Wonder what kind of role Angle will play later on. Taka/RVD at the PPV should be a fantastic contest. Decent segment between HHH and Funk. Nice table spot as well. Awesome main event and I’m glad to see the heels actually win the match. Not surprised to see Kane choke slam Vader. Kane having the momentum leading into the pay per view is nice. Fully expect Austin to retain at the PPV, though. Very good show.

WWF @ Toronto, Ontario - Skydome - May 30 1998
The pyro goes off on the first edition of Heat, which has a stage much like Raw Is War, but with the Heat logo and Orange ring ropes. We are greeted by Jim Ross, Michael Cole, and Jerry Lawler. They welcome us to the first edition of Heat and tell us our first main event is a NO DQ match between Cactus Jack and Sean Waltman.
Vince McMahon welcomes us to WWF Heat The theme of Vince McMahon hits and he comes out with Vader. He welcomes us to the first ever edition of Saturday Night Heat on The USA Network! He says that you will see your favorite WWF wrestlers on here such as Vader and himself! The crowd boos but Vince carries on, saying that tonight Sean Waltman will take on Cactus Jack in a No DQ match! Vince says good bye to everyone and tells them to enjoy the night, but when he goes to leave the ring, Stone Cold’s theme hits and the crowd goes crazy. He comes out to the ring and says that once again Vince tried to take him out again on Raw, but he’s still standing. Austin says that it’s time for Vince to try and do it himself! Vince seems to be getting angry and Vader attacks Austin! He stomps on Austin and holds him up, while Vince kicks Austin below the belt! Vince and Vader leave while Austin is in the ring trying to get up.
Break
Faarooq(w/The Nation) def. Steve Blackman This was the first match in Heat history and it was a decent one. The crowd was solidly behind Blackman in this one, but despite it being one on one, he was outnumbered by the Nation who were at ringside. Steve took it to Faarooq in the start, but after Kama swiped his ankle Faarooq took control. After going back and forth for another 5 minutes, Faarooq put Blackman away with a Dominator.
After the match The Nation started to beat down on Blackman until Ken Shamrock ran down to the ring! Faarooq back out while Shamrock and Steve took the fight to The Nation. They dumped Henry over the top rope, but then Jeff Jarrett and Tennessee Lee came out to ringside and distracted them! The Nation then attacked from behind while Jeff and Lee laughed. Faarooq came in the ring and hit a Dominator power slam on Shamrock before leaving the ring.
Break
Kurrgan(w/Jackyl) def. Christopher Daniels We’ve seen Daniels before, but it was a squash, apparently he’s not am official wrestler of the WWF. He got in some shots on Kurrgan in the start a got him to his knees, but when he went to the top Kurrgan caught him in mid air and threw him out of the ring! Chris was hurt and he came back into the ring, but Kurrgan caught him in the Paralyzer. He held Chris down to the mat and got the three count.
Backstage Michael Cole is backstage with Cactus Jack. He asks Cactus his thoughts on his NO DQ match with Sean Waltman coming up next. Cactus says he had to watch what DX did to Terry Funk on Raw and it was sickening, but it the same time it was amazing. Cactus goes on to so it was amazing because, he now knows it’s no holds barred with DX, and that’s right up his ally. And what DX did to Terry on Raw, is going to be noting compared to what he does to Sean up next, and that’ll be nothing to what he does to Triple H tomorrow night. Break
Cactus Jack def. Sean Waltman in a NO DQ match A brutal main event here, but in a good way. Cactus came out first, but Sean attacked him from behind. The two brawled on the ramp and to the ringside area. Cactus took control and ripped apart the announce table. He through Sean on it and went to go Pedigree him, but Sean hit a low blow. The continued to use weapons throughout the match, like when Cactus hit a Doubt Arm DDT onto a garbage can, and when Sean Waltman super kicked a chair into Cactus’ face! In the end Sean was on the ring apron trying to suplex Cactus to the outside and through the announce table. Cactus punched Sean in the cut and then hit a few shots to the head, knocking Sean off the apron onto the announce table! Cactus then climbed to the top rope and hit a huge elbow drop! Cactus then covered him for the three count!
Cactus gets to his knees and raises his arm. He’s bleeding from the face as this was a brutal match. Cactus gives the crotch chop to Sean and smirks as Heat goes off the air.

I don’t think I have ever seen a good Blackman match that wasn’t a hardcore match so I can only assume that the opening match would have been lackluster. Cool to see Daniels as a jobber in the WWF. Sucks to Kurrgan actually getting squash wins. I hope he doesn’t get any kind of important push. A good main event between Jack and Waltman. Overall, seemed like this was show that depended on the main event to keep interest. But, its HEAT so it shouldn’t be a major show in the long run.

WWF Over the Edge 1998 - Milwaukee, WI - Arena - May 31, 1998
The pyro goes off as JR and King welcome us to Over the Edge! They hype up the huge WWF Championship main event match tonight, which will see Steve Austin defend the championship against Vader, Kane, and The Undertaker! The theme song of Rob Van Dam and Andrew Martin hits as the crowd gives them some heat while they come down to the ring for the first match of the night!
Rob Van Dam(w/Andrew Martin) vs. Taka Michinoku(w/Bradshaw) A fantastic opener to Over the Edge tonight. Van Dam and Andrew Martin have been a pain in Taka’s side since debuting this past month, and Bradshaw has stood up to help Taka. The bell rang and the two went back and forth for multiple minutes. Neither man was able to get the upper edge with kicks, takes downs, and cross bodies among other high flying manures. During the middle of the match Van Dam was able to take control of the match up when Andrew Martin pulled the top rope while Taka was standing there. Van Dam then went on to hit Rolling Thunder for only a two count. Then, Van Dam went for spilt legged moonsault and Taka moved out of the way! Taka then hit the Michinoku Driver, but Van Dam kicked out! Around a minute later, Taka kicked out of the Five Star Frog Slash! In the end, Martin tried to interfere again, but ate a clothesline from Bradshaw! Meanwhile, the ref was distracted and Van Dam nailed Taka with his own title in the back of the head! Van Dam then hit the Five Star Frog Splash and covered Taka for the three when the ref turned around! Winner: Rob Van Dam (10:21)
Martin holds Van Dam up on his shoulders in the ring until Bradshaw comes in and runs them off! Van Dam and Martin celebrate on the ramp while Bradshaw checks on Taka. Van Dam makes a check mark in the air before the screen fades to black.
A video hypes up the King of the Ring, live on Pay Per View June 28th, 1998!
NWA Tag Team Championships: The New Midnight Express(c)(w/Jim Cornette) vs. The Rock N'Roll Express This match was probably the dud of the night, and was a real downer from the opener. Jim Cornette has promised for weeks that this would be the last time anyone ever saw The Rock N’Roll Express on WWF programming, and The New Midnight Express seemed hell bent on ending them tonight. Bart and Bob fought vicious the whole way through, but The Rock N’Roll Express would not stay down! One point of the match Bart and Bob did a double flapjack on Ricky onto the steel steps, which seemed to have broke his nose, has blood started pouring out of it. Towards the end, The Rock N’Roll Express was getting fired up and Ricky took Bob down with a dropkick and took Bart off of the apron! Meanwhile, Bob was able to knock Robert off the apron, so it was down to them! Ricky unloaded on Bob, but Bob was able to duck a punch and out of nowhere he hit the Alabama Slam! He then covered for the three! Winners: The New Midnight Express (6:22)
JR and King hype up our main event one more time until we see a reply of Steve Blackman busting Tennessee Lee open with a kendo stick.
Jeff Jarrett vs. Steve Blackman Well, it was finally the time. Steve Blackman versus Jeff Jarrett one on one, and no Tennessee Lee. The match starts off with Double J trying to avoid Blackman, but that doesn’t work as Blackman only ends up kicking Jeff out of the ring. Blackman chases Jeff out there, but Jeff just ends tripping him and Blackman goes into the guardrail. Throughout the match Jeff seemed to be working on Blackman’s knee, setting up for the Figure Four Leg Lock. Blackman continued to fight on though, and he and Jeff would get into a chop war! The two then went back and forth for another minute or two, and Tennessee Lee came out with a guitar! This allowed Jeff to gain the upper hand, but not for long. Then, Steve went for a kick, but he hit the ref instead! Lee then tossed the guitar to Jeff, and hooped on the apron! He got in Steve’s face, but Steve smirked and turned around, and Jeff went for the guitar shot, but Steve moved and Jeff creamed Lee instead! Jeff is in shock, but Steve hits him with the Lethal Kick! The ref gets up, and Steve covers him for the three! Winner: Steve Blackman (8:03)
JR and King hype up our next match, Ken Shamrock vs. Farooq, and a video plays showing the history between Ken Shamrock and The Nation of Domination.
Intercontinental Championship: Ken Shamrock(c) vs. Farooq(w/The Nation) A lot of tension in this match here as Shamrock has been feuding with the Nation for months now. Shamrock even put The Rock on the shelf, but he has been on the side of multiple beat downs from the Nation. This match was more of a brawl then a match, but it was fine. The match started off and Shamrock unloaded on Farooq, but the vet quickly fought back with hard shots of his own. Farooq then took control of the match only for Shamrock to quickly fight back with a belly to belly suplex. Shamrock then put multiple submission holds on Farooq throughout the match, but Farooq was able to escape all of them. Farooq began to take back the advantage with an eye rake and axe handle chop. Farooq used dirt tactics such as choking Shamrock along the ropes. Towards the end of the match Farooq tossed Shamrock to the outside and he distracted the ref. The Nation went to attack Shamrock, but Ken fought back! He punched them one at a time, threw Kama into the guard rail, banged Henry’s head against the steps and threw D-Lo into a ring post! Shamrock has snapped! Shamrock then got into the ring, and Farooq levels him with a big boot! Farooq then goes for the Dominator, but Shamrock slips out and locks in the Ankle Lock! Farooq seems to be getting close to the ropes, but Shamrock pulls him back and grapevines it! Farooq has no choice but to tap out! Winner: Ken Shamrock (9:24)
Following the match, Shamrock celebrates with his championship while the crowd explodes! He poses on the turnbuckles, but all of a sudden, Shamrock gets hit in the back by a steel chair and he falls down! It’s The Rock! The Rock is back! Rock then begins to hit Shamrock’s ankle with the chair multiple times! Shamrock then staggers to his feet, and The Rock sends him back down with The Rock Bottom! The crowd boos as Rock holds up the Intercontinental title before the screen fades out.
Catch the encore presentation of this event Tuesday night at eight P.M. eastern time!
We come back live to see JR and King hyping up our next match, Triple H versus Cactus Jack for the European Championship! We see a replay of a few weeks ago where Cactus Jack pinned Triple H in a tag team match!
European Championship: Triple H(c)(w/Chyna and Sean Waltman) vs. Cactus Jack It’s now time for Cactus Jack to prove if his pin fall victory over Triple H a few weeks ago was a fluke. Cactus goes right after Hunter and quickly backs him into a corner. Cactus pounds hard shots into Hunter, but he quickly fights back and takes the upper hand. Triple H shows his vicious side here as he throws Cactus Jack into the steel ring post! While Cactus was still there, Hunter went to the apron and kicked Cactus’ skull into the steel! He covered, but Cactus kicked out. Triple H seems to be in complete, control, but Cactus starts to fight back. Cactus takes full control and he then plants Triple H with a Double Arm DDT! He covers, but Triple H kicks out. As the match comes to a close, Triple H and Cactus Jack are trading blows inside the ring. Cactus is able to gain the edge, as he grabs one of HHH’s fist and he applies the Mandible Claw! Hunter seems to be desperate strengths, when all of a sudden Sean hops on the apron! Cactus then lets go of the hold, and he dropkicks Sean off the apron to the floor! Triple H is on his knees, and Cactus plants him with another Double Arm DDT! Cactus covers, but Chyna pulls the ref out! The ref then gets in Chyna’s face and he throws DX out! The crowd explodes as Cactus gets a sadistic smile on his face! Chyna refuses to leave, but then Terry Funk makes his way out to the ring with a chair! Terry and Chyna have a heated stare down, but in the ring, Hunter hits Cactus with a low blow followed by a pedigree! The ref hops back in the ring and covers for the three! Winner: Triple H (11:12)
Triple H is handed his title while Funk runs into the ring and chases him out! DX retreats up the ramp while Funk helps Cactus to his feet. These hardcore icons are not done with DX just yet!
We then see JR and King once more, who hype up our next match, The New Age Outlaws vs. The Legion of Doom, for the tag team titles in a street fight!
Street Fight for the WWF Tag Team Championships: The New Age Outlaws(c) vs. The L.O.D. A straight fight here and the crowd just ate it up. The Legion of Doom was out first, but the Outlaws attacked them from behind in their entrance! That didn’t seem to work, as Hawk and Animal brought the fight right back to them! Hawk and Billy Gunn brawled to the ring while Animal and Road Dogg fought on the stage. Animal took the upper hand by throwing Road Dogg into the guardrail while Billy Gunn took advantage inside the ring! Animal set a table right outside the ring, but Road Dogg hit him from behind! Road Dogg then placed Animal on the table, and Gunn leaped off the top rope and gave Animal an elbow drop through it! The Outlaws went to double team Hawk in the ring, but he quickly fought back when he hit a double clothesline on them! He then went to ringside and grabbed a chair before rolling back in! He then creamed both of them over the head and taunted! Animal was able to get back up and the two teams continued to brawl. The match eventually spilled into the crowd, were Animal and Road Dogg fought and Billy Gunn took on Hawk once again. Hawk gained the edge this time, even picking up a fan’s chair and hitting Gunn with it in the back multiple times! Road Dogg was able to control Animal throughout the crowd, but they went on to brawl backstage! They went from everywhere to the hot dog stand to the bathrooms! They fought their way back while Hawk and Gunn were back in the ring. Gunn had Hawk in the sleeper while Animal came in and gave him a big boot! Road Dogg hopped the apron, but Animal tossed a cooler at him that they had placed in the ring earlier! Animal then held up Gunn as Hawk climbed to the top rope as they prepared for the Doomsday Deceive! Hawk jumps off the top, but Gunn ducks and rolls up Animal! Hawk face plants into the mat while Gunn grabs the rope and the ref counts to three! Winners: The New Age Outlaws (14:46)
Gunn hops out of the ring and grabs the tag titles. He hands one to Road Dogg as they celebrate in the ring. Animal can’t believe what just happened as Hawk just gets on his feet.
We once again go back to JR and King, who hype up our main event, and its next! A video then plays next highlighting the race for the WWF Championship over the past five weeks.
WWF Championship: Steve Austin(c) vs. Vader(w/Vince McMahon) vs. Kane(w/Paul Bearer) vs. Undertaker Wow, this match was all over the place! There is just so much bad blood between these four men; it was hard to contain them! The bell rung and Austin went right after Vader while Kane and Undertaker traded blows. Taker took advantage in his fight as so did Vader in his. Taker hit Kane with a big boot causing him to fall out of the ring and then Vader tossed out Austin. Taker and Vader brawled in the ring while Austin and Kane got up and fought on the outside! Halfway through the match all four men were fighting at the ringside area. Austin had just thrown Kane into the steel steps while Vader had took Taker down with a power bomb and he begun to rip apart the announcers table. Austin pounded on Vader after he turned around, but Vader was soon able to overpower him and he threw Austin onto the floor! Then Kane was up and he grabbed Vader by the throat! Taker then got up, and he grabbed Vader too! The two brothers stared at each other, before chokeslamming Vader through the table! The crowd went crazy but the two traded fist right after! Later on Vader was on the floor still while Kane was in a corner and Taker and Austin were trading shots in the ring. Undertaker was able to take the advantage and he was able to chokeslam Austin! He went for the cover, but Paul handed Kane the urn and Kane attacked Undertaker with it! Taker was out cold while Paul was cheering on Kane from the outside. Kane then picked up The Undertaker and put him back down with the Tombstone! He covered, but Undertaker kicked out at two! Kane was in shock, but Vader came back in the ring and super kicked Kane! Meanwhile, on the outside, Austin got up and grabbed Paul by the collar! He then dragged him over to the next side and threw him right into Vince McMahon! The crowd was going crazy for Austin, but in the ring Vader hit a double Vader Bomb on Taker and Kane! Vader then taunted the crowd, but Austin came in with the title and whacked Vader in the face! Vader then tumbled out of the ring! Kane staggered to his feet, and Austin gives him the Stunner! He covers for the three count! Winner: Stone Cold Steve Austin (17:59)
The crowd explodes while King complains that Vader was screwed! JR talks about how Austin once again over came the odds! Austin called for two beers as he chugged them down his throat on the top turnbuckle! Austin then held the title in one hand while sticking the finger at Austin and Vince! The show goes off the air with Austin drinking a beer in the ring, will Austin have hell to pay?

SUNDAY, MAY 30th 1998
-WWF appears to be happy with how Over the Edge turned out. They felt that the main event was the highlight of the show, but they were extremely pleased with Rob Van Dam and his performance. Also, reports are that the Rock N' Roll Express is finished with the company completely. They felt The Rock's return was alright, but perhaps they could have done better with it.
-The King of the Ring tournament seems to have a week qualifying round, but the first round turns out to be much more credible and the tournament should provide us with some interesting match ups. Rumor has it that they tournament is going to be used to sling shot somebody's career. Ken Shamrock, The Rock, Cactus Jack, and maybe even Triple H seem like the most likely winners at the time being.
-WWF is looking to cut more superstars from the roster soon, as there is a lot of dead weight on the roster. Some superstars are going to be repackaged, but not all that many. Also, rumored names to be called up soon are Adam Copeland, Jeff and Matt Hardy, and perhaps even David Heath.
-Also, WWF apparently has huge cards lined up for King of the Ring and Summerslam, so they should be memorable events, but only time can tell.

RVD/TAKA is an odd feud, but should make for some pretty decent matches. Andrew Martin and Bradshaw at ringside is even more odd. RVD, being the bigger star, should always have gone over here.
Don't think I like the NWA titles getting pay-per-view time. Don't care too much for this stuff. Suppose the New Midnight Express needed the win more than the Rock n' Roll Express.
I liked Blackman/Jarrett. It was scripted very well, especially the ending. That was a nice touch. Good booking.
Shamrock/Faarooq would have been a big match, though the focus should be on The Rock right now, not Faarooq. Didn't like how Shamrock fought off all of the Nation members. He should have at least fell to one of them. Love that the focus has shifted back to The Rock now. The post-match attack was very good.
Triple H/Cactus, again, fantastic. Very well booked, in my opinion. I thought the referee being pulled out of the ring should have resulted in disqualification. Also, Funk comes out wielding a chair but doesn't use it? Doesn't really work. Glad to see Hunter pick up the win.
The Street Fight was another decent match. The Outlaws deserve the win here, though I'd be careful how you use the Road Warriors. They should be used as one of your main tag teams, but they shouldn't be jobbed out to each and every upcoming teams. Not saying that's what you're doing, just a sort of warning that you could end up hurting their credibility, like Ric Flair today.
The main event was STACKED. Very, very big match here. A little predictable, as there was no way that you'd take the belt off Austin so soon, at least I hope not. Really think Vader should have been the one to take the loss, rather than Kane. He should be pushed more at this moment in time.
Overall, a pretty decent pay-per-view. The undercard, not so good, but the main event is excellent right now.
