I really want that Joe but the head looks huge on that body. Same goes for AJ. I will probably buy both even with that being said haha. Jeff looks pretty good but I may pass and just pick up the DI version as I think that one looks pretty great also.
No thanks on the other three. TT and Corny are both great figures but I never liked either guy. Andre has a great head scan but looks stumpy as was mentioned. Never liked Andre really either to top it off.
I personally like the way they are doing it. Primarily for the selfish reason that I want a classic Hail Sabin. TNA has plenty of its own history and I think it would be cool to do the Simon Diamond, Michael Shane, Shane Douglas and Monty Browns of the world. So not necessarily guys who are legends but guys who played a part in TNAs history. Daniels maybe? Jerry Lynn? I will take both those guys. Elix Skipper and the Outlaws? That could end up being a pretty sick lineup if you mix 3 or 4 legends in with some past TNA guys or attires.

Anyone know what retail outlets will carry these? I know Target/K-Mart/Toys-R-Us is carrying the regular series, but not sure if they will be carrying this line.

I'nm just alittle confused about the andre figure. from what I can tell is that this is a "young" andre figure, but I thought we already got one from cs7 which was a great figure. is this new one from a different era(more younger?) if anybody can let me know I'd greatly appreciate it. either way I'm still getting this figure to go with my other ones as well. my guess is this is a 70s japan andre... the other andre with the afro seems to have is 1983 look much like his 80s ljn figure... and then of course the wm 3 andre... i am likeing the new head sculpt but then again i like all the andres.... id like tem to try the afro and short hair look using this new head also... and a wm 2 andre would be sweet also |

Like I said, I am pretty big on the Andre. I only wish they had given him the beard he sometimes had. That would have been cool.

I'm gad to hear that most people are pleased with at least half of this LOTR set. I know some people feel AJ & Joe don't quite belong. Joe I can see, but to me AJ is a corner stone of TNA. When I think of TNA, I think of Jarrett, AJ, and a few others. IMO AJ deserves to be in this line.

Ok let's see. I like the terry Taylor. Cornette and Andre are cool. Though I don't think they deserve to be in a Legends line (yet) I like the AJ and Joe figs. Hardy is a f'ing joke. I mean come on Jakks quit recycling your crapto us fans. Overall I am bummed. Mattell is giving us Macho Man, Von Erich'sm and Ricky Steamboat. And this is what Jakks give us.  You Jakks !!!! Macho, Steamboat and Von Erichs are not all coming out in the same set. You can't just pick out the top figs from one company, one of which has been relaesed the other three not for a year, and compare it to one series from the other company. There is so much that goes into launching a line. JAkks wants the first few series to do very well. That means tapping more than one market eg: collectors and casual fans alike. THey can't release a bunch of 80's nwa figs and think they will fly off the shelves. They need to establish thier brands, create demand and market to retailers. Other wise we get NO figs. It's not like mattles legends have been perfect. Except for steamboat they have all been released in JAKKS line. They do have new looks which is why I bought some of them (Funk, Steamboat, LOD, Slaughter, and Rude)
In two series Jakks will release a great Sting, a great Cornette, a great Taylor, a great Hogan, an interesting Jarrett (I am a sucker for obscure gimmicks and workers in the CS and Legends line)
As for who they can and can't contract, it is different with every worker. However Gimmicks OWNED by wwe won't show in Jakks. But that isn't as many as you think. Many workers owned and still own thier own gimmicks. If mattel and wwe really want Savage but he won't give them exclusive rights, then JAKKS can also sign him. It's impossible to know unless you have some one in the camps of these parties.
About a year ago I had a wish list with Figs that NEEDED to be made for the CS/Legends line to be legitimate.

There is only one of those left. I hope that it gets sorted out soon.

^ I never understood the hype for AD 1 Hardy. I think the figure is okay, but I'm more impressed with Dreamer from the set.
