haha I love these kinda threads. Cena puts guys over, you don't have to beat someone to be put over. Darren Young looked great last night against him yet lost. If Cena was "Superman" he'd simply squash everyone he went against. Also maybe you didn't notice all his shirts say NEVER GIVE UP, thats the character they've made of him so if you don't like his work don't watch his matches, crybabies. This is what I was thinking, but wasn't able to write it down, thanks:) HATERS!

It was pathetic to be sure. Cena didn't even sell the after-effects of the move during the post match. He was just his usual Super Clown Boy self, not hurt at all.
At least when Hogan got Tombstoned on the chair in '91, he had the decency to act injured on his way to the locker room.

From what I heard, they ran over their timeslot by a pretty big margin and had to improvise the finish. If that's the case I can understand the no-selling.

How the hell did Cena bury them? They're rookies, they make mistakes, they get caught. Cena is a multiple time WWE Champion, and kayfabe wise, would be able to capitalize on any mistake a rookie would make. He caught Barrett off guard, and made him tap to a move that a whole lot of huge stars have tapped out too. Granted, he didn't really sell anything afterwards, but Nexus was in no way buried last night.
Just because you lose a match doesn't mean you were buried. I think it was the only way to go that made any sense.

I agree completely. Cena sells merchandise not moves. Epic win!

Hogan, Sting, Undertaker, and many more guys have done the same thing in their careers. Heck, it's part of what made them popular. People would erupt when they got that "second wind"
But not when Cena does it, people throw a fit.
While I'm not happy Nexus lost Sunday, and I'm certainly not happy with the way most of them won Monday, none of that is Cena's fault. Cena is a company guy and if they'd asked him to lose he would have.

I like Cena as a person, but his character is Hulk Hogan all over again. My generation hated Hogan for the same reason. They put him over guys that were 10 times the wrestlers Hogan was and often in squash matches. The day I saw Hogan pin Harley Race I felt a rock in the pit of my stomach. The day I saw him pin Flair made me sick. Be thankful....at least Cena can put a few moves together, is quick on his feet, athletic and a humble person in real life. Besides, its either Cena or Triple HHH! LOL

Not all of your/our generation hated Hogan. Race was 10 years older than Hogan and on the downside of his career when Hogan would have been beating him.
With Flair being a smaller athlete, it could be imagined that Hogan could overpower Flair and win.

Regardless of "how good" Cena makes anyone look, it won't make a difference. Darren Young can look great and it's still basically a squash because he's just added to the pile of the defeated and taps out in 6 seconds. There's a reason Sheamus has become as over as he has and people are begging for his action figure, and it's because the same t-shirt buying fans can't believe someone has actually beaten Cena in a match.

I like Sheamus because he has a character that sets him apart. Even if Young beat Cena I still would look at him like he was a nobody. Cena helped put The Miz on the map and The Miz didn't beat him by any stretch but Cena made him look great in their match.

cena unexcites me about wrestling. I watch raw religiously and i casually tune in to smackdown and nxt due to my schedule. When it comes time for a ppv i usually get together with friends to watch..so I get excited about it. About half way through however, I get that sick feeling..that all this is going to conclude with cena walking out the hero, win or lose...cena is still over when the cameras stop. Come on WWE show me this mans weakness, show me a stressed out and out of luck cena, who turns on his fans. For the love of god...stop this shit.

Now I understand that his selling is not good at all. I also understand that he tends to turn on God Mode from time to time. But Cena's been getting his a** beaten from pillar to post for a few years now. The only person that I feel was buried unnecessarily by Cena/the writers was Jericho. I feel like Cena ended up getting the best of him way too many times. Not to mention that time that he literally beat him out of his suit on Raw for like 5-10 minutes. But besides that, he and Orton had a pretty even feud, even with Orton getting some clean wins over him. Batista CRUSHED Cena on a weekly basis durring their fued. Heck, even Sheamus beat up on Cena quite a bit. He's still "Super Cena". As long as he's the top draw, and the kids love him he will be. But he's not runnign through the roster, and crushing people like he used to. No matter how bad you want an excuse to still hate him.

AMEN! people will always find a reason to hate the man, even if he put over every member of the Nexus, they'd still say he didn't do it right.
