Lightweight Championship: Frankie Edgar (c) vs. B.J. Penn
Heavyweight bout: Randy Couture vs. James Toney
Middleweight bout: Demian Maia vs. Mario Miranda
Lightweight bout: Kenny Florian vs. Gray Maynard
Welterweight bout: Nate Diaz vs. Marcus Davis
Diaz/Davis- Marcus is a tough guy with solid boxing, I see this as a late TKO for Davis.
Florian/Maynard- Kenny is too well rounded for Gray to beat. I feel that (although Gray has been there many times) the longer this fight goes the better chance Florian has. He starts very slow and picks up the pace and basically just finishes fights. 3rd Round RNC
Maia/Miranda- Not very familiar with Miranda, just a gut feeling.
Couture/Toney- *sigh* I don't think anyone can say they think Toney is going win this with a straight face. Couture via early submission.
Edgar/Penn- BJ's chin is too good for Frankie to finish him. I think Frankie will be much more crisp on his boxing this time around, work more on the takedowns and get another UD.

Change of plans. I'll only be able to go to the full-day Friday (tomorrow) and only until 1:00pm on Saturday expo dates due to hotel restrictions (they booked us at a hotel pretty far away) and meeting up with Edgar and helping him cut weight before the weigh-ins at 4pm EST on Saturday. I will be there to watch Gregor Gracie's grappling match on Saturday. If any of you guys are going Friday or early Saturday afternoon, I'll mostly be near the Tokyo Five booth with Almeida, Renzo and Royce, so say Hi if you're there. I'll be leaving early afternoon (today) for Boston. If I don't get a chance to reply to this thread again, enjoy the fights. I'll be enjoying it live!! Have fun, ya  s. |

Can....not.....wait! Edgar/Penn 2 really has me excited the most; will Edgar be able to finish BJ and prove that he is the real deal and a worthy champion? Or will BJ go out there and get the job done and show the world that the first fight was nothing but a fluke?
And as for Toney/Couture, Couture better not get KO'd, lol. MMA needs this win imo.
