I'm from Maine, and though we do a lot of complaining about the condition of our state, I don't really see myself living anywhere else. Unfortunately, my chosen field is going to be tough to swing around here, but I'm going to do my best to make it work. . I got a brother who lives in Maine and have been out there to visit him on many occasions and I gotta tell you, it's beautiful. There is a reason they call is vacationland. It's quiet and peaceful and probably the best part of New England I have been to. It's definitely a hidden gem that a lot of people seem to forget about. What area does your brother live in? I'm in central Maine, so I've got it pretty good in terms of distance. I'm a little under an hour away from Bangor (second largest city, and where I live during the school year), and about an hour and twenty minutes north of Portland. The only downfall is the lack of shows that come out this way, but my friends and I travel to Boston a lot, which is only three hours away. Plus, by the time I'll be really ready to settle down, my show going days will probably be dead and gone.

My bro is on one of the islands off the coast about 2 hours away from Portland by Rockland.. it's really beautiful there.. peaceful, surrounded by water, small place, very quaint I'll say.. I have also been to Boston and think it's a cool city, but I could never live there.. needless to say it's always an adventure when we visit because we have to take 2 planes, a car ride then a ferry boat.. awesome trip to travel from one end of the country to the other in one day..

Las Vegas or Canada. For Las Vegas, because it's never humid and I really like the atmosphere there. Canada because its beautiful and the government.

I'd absolutely love to live in Tokyo. It's something I said if I win the lottery or something, I'll be spending an extended period of time in Japan. I'd also love to live in Germany.
Thinking more logically, I think I'd enjoy Chicago a lot. I've always grown up as a Midwesterner and don't think I'd do well outside of the Midwest, unless it was something super dramatic like overseas.

Seattle or anywhere else in Washington. It's beautiful there and rainy, so I'd enjoy that. I think I'd like to live in Washington too. I like the rain. It's ironic that I posted that yesterday as earlier Birmingham was hit by terrential rain and thunder. Weird, huh?

For some reason I love where I am now in New Jersey. But if I had to pick another state, I'd say either Pennsylvania or Virginia.

Ah, yeah, Rockland is beautiful. I'm the same way with Boston. I live close to there for a few months at school and hated it. I like spending a day there, but I'm not a big city kind of person.

I too am from Maine, but from the downeast as we call it. I live in Machias, and there is not much around here...but I don't see myself ever going too far from here as I really do love it.

As much as I would like to be in a place like LA or NY for the attractions, I most want to live in Durham NC. I go there quite often as it is and it's one of my favorite places to be.
I plan on moving there eventually, but I don't know when or how the circumstances will be.
