Very nice interview. Great info and the guy couldn't be nicer.
I love the fact he said Savage was really cool, cause you only hear negative things about him.

Good to know that he reads the forum and the thing he said about the pads being too harsh is spot on since I just got Two-Packs Series 6 Zeke/Kozlov and Kozlov's knee pads are very flexible.

all seriousness, despite me being a bigger TNA fan, I am glad to hear that someone has a passion for these figures and that is what makes me happy and proud to say I own Mattel figures

I'm glad that this guy and Mattel have enough respect for us to not BS us and come up with lame excuses for stuff. I'm glad that he straight up said that in the Basic line the tattoos aren't colored because they have a budget to hit and with Elites they are allowed to spend more money per series.
I enjoy being told the truth and not being treated like a a child or an idiot and being told things like Chinese New Year or nonsense like that is the reason for why something happened.
I think that the relationship between Mattel and the users on this board is going to be a very open and productive one where hopefully the feedback and information continues to flow freely in both directions.

Love it.
Not only does he genuinely care, but you can tell these guys did their homework before letting them loose. They essentially took what jakks did and said.."this is what the consumer wants in their product and this is what they didn't like about the product". They set out to improve and provide the consumer with what they always wanted.

Since you´re reading the forums, Bill, I´d like to thank you for the great work you´ve done so far and the effort you´re taking to even improve your work further. When Jakks lost their license and Mattel got it I was really happy since I know what Mattel is capable of to do (I´m collecting MOTU since day 1). It was simply heart breaking to see what Jakks sometimes was doing to certain figures I collected Classic Superstars and I´m, of course!, collecting Mattel Legends. I just can´t express how positive I feel about these perfectly done figures! With signing the Von Erich´s you´ve already signed some my most wanted. Other great legends that are worth getting a figure and I would love to see are Dino Bravo and Hercules. Please tell the Mattel legends signing departement, that we need those two Keep on going with the awesome work and always remember that there are people like me who really appreciate the things you´re doing!

I can't imagine money issues in a line that costs $15 + tax and sells as well as Elites have been (and DCUC too for that matter) but hopefully the better it does the better the figures will be.

That is really awesome to hear that he reads the forum every day. I , for one, really appreciate how much they value our opinions and feedback.
And I'm so happy he was honest on the tats question, honesty and feedback were two things Jakks didn't give a crapabout.

Personally I would of loved to see SummerSlam 91 Macho Man wedding attire over WrestleMania VII, but as far as wrestling gear goes I understand. WrestleMania VII still a great choice for a figure though

lol, It should be a two pack, Macho Man and Liz wedding outfits... As I posted the picture I thought the same thing. How epic would that be. I don't think it would happen though, considering how Elizabeth was never signed for Jakks.

true. The only way a figure of her can happen is if a family member signs her a contract with Mattel or a Legends contract with the WWE.

Tim asks the best questions every time! I love having a collector conduct these interviews. It ensures we get the answers to all the questions we have on the board. I can't wait for the Macho Man figure. Dig it? Kim

Great video. Bill seems like a geniune guy, not full of BS. Its about time someone finally confirmed what I was trying to say all along, that the reasons things are cut out or missing is because of the budgets.
I could care less about Basic figures not having colored tattoos to be honest. They are fine the way they are. As long as the Elite line does not suffer. It's too bad they can't squeeze a little more into the Elites so things like Goldusts robe could be cloth instead of plastic. Oh well, I'm still buying it.
Thanks for all the info and it's really good to know that the Mattel crew actually cares about the input from this board.
