Unreleased loose Sting in yellow is on back of the Series 3 cards, in the ring pic with Hogan. If you go to page 1 of this thread, you will see it. Sting in pink was released MOC, not widespread but not too hard to get when released.

Nope not Flair w/blue trunks; there's a decent amount out there (10-20) at least. Not Sting as this figure was not available to the mass public. This guy was on retail shelves, very, very briefly. hmm is it the hogan in all black series 2 repaint I slightly remember seeing him once or twice at kb and Johnny's toys

Just picked up a series 1 Hulk Hogan. Love this figure as it reminds me of LJN figures and it's Hulk Hogan's first WCW figure. It's definitely an underrated IMO.
Usually I only collect Hasbros and Mattel retros.. but I just had to pick this one up!
I even did a comparison with an LJN Hogan in my latest vlog:

How much is a 6' single black and white Sting worth near MOC?

I always wanted a Arn Anderson growing up. Anyone ever hear if there were talks of one in this line?

Hey, everyone.
One of the persons who commented early on in this thread mentioned that he vividly remembered seeing a toy ad or catalog in 1995 or so that showed figures (possibly prototypes?) of Shark (John Tenta) and Renegade (the Ultimate Warrior knockoff). That certainly seems plausible, seeing as how both of those gimmicks were then-current when this toyline initially started, but I was unable to find any information elsewhere through Google. As a collector, this sort of thing always intrigues me. Has anyone else here ever personally seen evidence of these alleged unreleased OSFTM figures, or have you ever heard anyone else mention them?
By the way, before severe injuries forced him to retire, Arn Anderson wrestled his final televised match against Lex Luger in late November 1996 on Monday Nitro. It's really surprising to me that OSFTM didn't make the LJN-style figures of all four members of the Horsemen at that time. In fact, Flair was the only Horseman who got that treatment. It would've been great to have had figures of Anderson, Pillman, and Benoit—and later, Malenko. I could've done without that maroon "Mongo," though. LOL
It also would've been amazing if the first or second wave of figures had included Ricky Steamboat, Rick Rude, Barry Windham, and Dustin Rhodes, as well as additional tag team sets of the Hollywood Blonds, Pretty Wonderful (Roma and Orndorff), and Stars and Stripes (the Patriot and Bagwell). The latter three teams were all WCW tag team champions at one point, so they should've been a no-brainer. An LJN-style figure of the Patriot would've been especially cool, seeing as how his character/gimmick was ideally suited to be an action figure. After all, Del Wilkes was essentially the Captain America of pro-wrestling! Underrated character/wrestler.
How awesome would it also have been to have seen eventual tag team sets in '96 or early '97 of the Steiner Brothers, the Road Warriors with their sweet blue shoulder pads, Fire & Ice (extremely mis-used and underrated tag team!), the Faces of Fear, Public Enemy, Sting (dark brown hair, but pre-Crow) & Luger, the Rock 'n' Roll Express, and easily the two best workers in the nWo: the Great Muta and Masahiro Chono (a Figures Inc. exclusive)?!
We also needed LJN-style figures of the incredible cruiserweights: Eddie Guerrero, Chris Jericho, Benoit & Malenko (as mentioned above), Mr. J.L. (Jerry Lynn), Rey Mysterio, Jr., Psicosis, Juventud Guerrera, La Parka, Ciclope, etc. The masked luchadors would've especially looked amazing. Given the insane scope and depth of WCW's roster in the mid-to-late '90s, the possibilities are nearly endless. WHY did OSFTM have to go and switch to those cheap-looking, poorly detailed "vibrating" molds in 1997? They really ruined a great thing.

I just acquired this one. I was not aware that there were two for NWO. My collection is on page 7 of this thread.

What was with the random two packs released around 1998? I remember there was Giant and Nash and DDP/Sting which my pop got signed by DDP in 1998 and I was able to get Sting in 2016, for free and it's one of my prized possessions. But I only found these at stores in Pennsylvania. Did PA stores have some sort of better distribution for exclusive OSFTMs?

The ones you mentioned were the only two I have found of them and mine were found years apart. The DDP/Sting were considerably more plentiful IMO.
