(My apologies about the quality of the below scans) There were 3 Series of Tag Teams released but only two were at mass retail. The 3rd Series was made exclusively for Figures Inc. Series One consisted of: Harlem Heat (black attire), Sting (green tights) & Hogan (same as single carded one), and The Nasty Boys (tattooed versions). The front of the card had the black background with orange lightning: Here is a partial of the Series 1 cardbacks: The 2nd Series packaging had a purple background with yellow lightning. It was comprised of: Sting (black tights & red boots) and Hogan (same old mold), Harlem Heat (red attire) and The Nasty Boys (orange attire): Here is the cardback for Series 2;basically the same as Series 1: Series 3 packaging had a light blue background with yellow lightning. The sets were of Hogan (NWO outfit) & Savage (silver & black attire), The Blue Bloods (Regal and Bobby Eaton), The Nasty Boys (green attire) and Harlem Heat (navy blue attire): Here is the cardback for this Series: My last post will be of the errors & variations.

Much like the galoobs these wrestlers were great figs with zero purpose other than to throw around, use as a paper weight or display

But what about the Lex Luger figure?

This can't possibly be the complete history because in my collection, I've got a whole nother set and I believe it's called "Monday Nitro" which features figures of Hulk Hogan in nWo gear with black beard, "Macho Man" Randy Savage in nWo gear, "The Taskmaster" Kevin Sullivan in red trunks and red boots with red painted horns on his face, another Ric Flair, I believe The Nasty Boys singally, Harlem Heat singally and the rare Lex Luger.
I really like that Lex Luger figure. Reminds me alot of the old "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff LJN figure. Matter of fact, all of these great W.C.W. figures remind me of the old W.W.F. LJN figures. They were great.
I've got all the figures I mentioned in storage packed away in bins, but tomorrow I'll go hunting for them and be sure to post pics because this thread isn't complete without them!!
I've also got another error in my collection as well. It's a single Nasty Boy Brian Knobbs on a Jerry Sags card. Looks pretty funny, much like yours do.

Wow I had no idea those Nitro figures existed. I thought the only Nitro figures were those crappy vibrating figures. You did miss at least two figures from the original OSFTM line. I have the Blue Bloods tag team set, which I am told is very rare. Now I wish I would have sold it off when it was still worth something.

Wow what a great post, Brings back alot of memory's, Christmas when i was like 6 or 7 maybe, Me and my brother got all of those big vibrating wrestlers, He got Nash, Luger And Giant And I Got Hogan, Sting And Hall, And then Mom bought us each a ring He got the blue WCW ring and i got a WWF monster ring,
Everything was great until my brother said "Look im a wrestler!" And sat in the middle of my monster ring cracking it in the middle... I'll never forget that christmas.

I picked up the 1st Flair with the blue trunks and black boots off Ebay yesterday for $10.00. He didn't have it listed as the 1st edition. Somone else besides me must have known what it was because when I left with 3 hours to go, it was only 99 cents. When I got home, I found I won it for $10.00. Which is not bad at all IMO.

No one mentioned that the Nitro figures have "Heels" or "Baby Faces" on the bottom of each. I remember being shocked that the cards said that because it was the first time I'd ever seen those used in any "mainstream" way.

Was there ever a history like this done for Hasbro figures?

Those words don't really mean anything to your average wrestling fan/toy buyer.

OSFTM was a great set....reminds me of the LJNs of old days. I have every figure released except the ring w/ cage... I picked up the entire Nirto set for $20 plus shipping a few months back on ebay.... Does anyone have loose pictures of the Ring and Cage? How would RA WWE figures play in the OSFTM ring?

Shouldn't the words "rubber" or "non-articulated" be in the thread title?
'Cause I was expecting this to be the "complete history of OSFTM WCW figures", and this just isn't, lol. Complete would contain all the plastic figures too. Just a thought.
