[ Heat ] Gene Snitsky def. Rob Conway Val Venis def. Fred Sampson The Highlanders vs. Charlie Haas and Viscera ended in double countout
Monday Night RAW is once again, opened by the legendary commentary team of Jim Ross, and Jerry "The King" Lawler. They tell us that we are in for a night. They then go on and says that John Cena has been placed in a handicap match against the team of Umaga, and the WWE Champion, Edge. The theme of Shane McMahon is heard, as he comes out without his father. He grabs a microphone, and says that tonight, his father has decided to take a break, so hes at an hotel, so hes in charge. He says first things first, he wants to make DX pay for there actions last week. So tonight, he has a special match for them. Tonight, they will go against mystery opponents he handpicked. He says no one will know who they are until tonight. Then he moves on to the John Cena/Edge situation. He says that he has decided to "tweak" Johnathon Coachman's match, and make it if Cena wins, he gets a WWE Title Match at Unforgiven. He then says that if Cena loses, he wont get a title shot. As he goes on, the theme of DX is heard. They come to the ring to a huge pop. They grab a microphone, and say that it feels good to see Shane again after beating him at Summerslam. The crowd laughs and they continue. Shane says that he doubts it'll ever happen again. DX laugh as they continue, and say that since Shane think he can beat them, he'll give him an offer. If Shane can find a man that teams up with him, they can go against DX. Shane says its a deal, and he says the match will be tonight. He also says that he wished DX the best of luck, because they'll need it. Shane begins to leave, before DX stop him and says that theres one more thing. A graphic is shown on the titantron that shows Mr. McMahon in a chicken suit, and words above his head that says "Vince Loves Cocks". The crowd is delighted by this, as Shane is showing anger in his fathers embarrassment. They laugh at Shane as he storms backstage. RAW goes into a commercial now.
[ Commercial ] RAW returns as Jim Ross and Jerry "The King" Lawler are shown laughing at the segment that just took place with DX and Shane McMahon. They remind us that Shane will have to find a partner, and go against DX tonight, and they remind us of the main event, where John Cena takes on Edge and Umaga in a Handicapped match, where if Cena wins, he will face Edge at Unforgiven. RAW then goes into the first match of the night.#1 Contendership for Intercontinental ChampionshipJeff Hardy def. Shelton BenjaminA great match to open up RAW. Hardy, who just returned last week on RAW, goes against Shelton Benjamin. They both show chemistry in this hard fought match. The match opens up with the men testing each others strength. Benjamin gets a headlock, and takes Hardy down. He stays in control, until Hardy goes for some punches, and he lands a dropkick. The ending came when Hardy ducked under Benjamin's superkick, and Hardy nails a Twist Of Fate. He then hits the Swanton Bomb to pick up the victory. Hardy celebrates the victory until Johnny Nitro comes to the ring with Melina. He gets in the ring, and has a microphone. He says that he hopes he and Hardy have a great match at Unforgiven. He then extends his hand and Hardy looks at it. Hardy then shakes it and Nitro begins to exit the ring, but as Hardy is still celebrating on the turnbuckles, he turns around right into a Nitro Blast. Nitro raises the Intercontinental Championship over Hardy as RAW goes to the commentary table, as they remind us of our two blockbuster matches tonight, and they remind us that Mickie James faces off against Trish Stratus to determine the Number One Contender to the Women's Championship. RAW then goes into a commercial now.[ Commercial ] RAW returns as we go onto our second match of the night.Non-TitleCryme Tyme def. World Tag Team Champions Kenny and Mikey w/Spirit Squad A decent tag match. The match began with JTG and Mikey. The advantage went to JTG and he gained momentum off of clotheslines and dropkicks. He has advantage of the match, until Mikey uses cheating tactics and takes him down. Kenny and Mikey make frequent tags, and take control of JTG. Things went their way, until JTG lands a dropkick on the legal man Kenny. He then makes a hot tag to Shad. Shad gets in and takes down both Kenny and Mikey. He then hits Kenny with a hard powerslam, and pins him for the shocking victory. After the match, the rest of the Spirit Squad got in the ring, and they beat down Cryme Tyme, nailing all of their finishers on them. Johnathon Coachman then appears on the ramp, as Spirit Squad stands tall. He says that since Cryme Tyme defeated the tag champs, they will get a title shot against Spirit Squad, at Unforgiven. The Spirit Squad then gets angry, and start screaming at the Coach. He then says that Spirit Squad will be banned at Ringside as well, and begins to leave. They continue to rant as RAW goes back to the announcers table, where they tell us that up next, John Cena will go against Edge and Umaga, where if Cena wins, he gets a title shot at Unforgiven.. RAW then goes backstage where it shows Shane on the phone. It appears to be Mr. McMahon he is talking to. Vince is yelling at Shane, saying how he was embarrassed earlier. Shane says he has everything under control, and he has the perfect man to defeat DX. RAW then fades into commercial then[ Commercial ] RAW returns and the theme of John Cena is heard to a huge pop. He comes to the ring without a shirt or hat. He walks to the ring with the same stern expression. He enters the ring, and looks at the ramp, as Umaga comes out. Then the WWE Champion Edge and Lita comes out, and a smirk appears on Cena's face as he finally gets his hands on Edge after losing at Summerslam. The match then begins.John Cena def. Umaga and WWE Champion Edge w/ Womens Champion Lita and Armando Estrada via Disqualification The match begins with Umaga and Cena, and Umaga has never lost a match yet, so he probably has met his match. The fist it if from Cena, who punches Umaga, and avoids his clotheslines. Cena then lands some shoulder blocks, but they aren't effective. As Cena goes for another Shoulder Block, Umaga clotheslines him, and takes control of Cena. Edge wants to be tagged in as he sees Cena is down. Umaga tags him in, and Edge goes for a quick pin, but Cena kicks out. [ Commercial ] RAW returns as Edge is shown with a Camel Clutch on Cena. Cena tries to get up, but Edge forearms Cena's back, and gains advantage again. He then tags Umaga back in, who hits the effective Samoan Bulldozer on Cena. He pins Cena, but its nearfall. Edge wants to finish Cena off, so he calls for a tag, and he is tagged in. Edge then stalks Cena for the spear, but as Cena gets up, he dodges the spear and Edge hits the turnbuckle, and when he turns back to Cena, Cena lifts him for the FU. Hes about to hit the FU, until Umaga comes in and hits a side kick on Cena. Cena falls back, and Edge and Umaga lay down some stomps on him, as the ref calls for the bell. Edge and Umaga continue their assault, as Umaga hits the Samoan Spike on Cena, and Edge hits a Spear. Fire engulfs on the stage, as Kane comes to the ring, he gets up, and hits Umaga with a few strong uppercuts. He then goes after Edge, who escapes the ring with the WWE title. Kane then hits the staggering Umaga with a powerful Chokeslam as well. John Cena gets up as well, and he holds his hand out to Kane, coughing from the effects of the Samoan Spike. Kane looks at Cena's hand, and instead of a handshake, he Chokeslams Cena as well. Fire engulfs from the turnbuckle as Kane stands over the two men as RAW goes into a commercial.[ Commercial ] RAW returns backstage with Carlito and Trish Stratus. He tells Trish he'll be sad to see her retire. She says it'll be OK, and she gives him a kiss on the cheek as she leaves for it is time for her match. Carlito stands there and watches her leave, but Randy Orton comes from behind and lays him out with an RKO on the ground. He stands over Carlito screaming that he should have never got in his business. RAW then returns to the arena, as it recaps what just happened between Orton and Carlito. They also tell us that at Unforgiven, John Cena will face off against Edge for the title. We then moves on to our next match.#1 Contendership for Womens ChampionshipTrish Stratus def. Mickie James These two have quite a history with eachother, as Mickie James once defeated Stratus, and she was "obsessed" with Stratus. The match began with both women hitting each other with elbows. Stratus gets the advantage, until James knees her in the gut, and she has advantage of the match now. Trish gains momentum with some elbows to Mickie's head. She then hit the Air Canada on her. The ending was sought, when Trish ducked under the Mick Kick from Mickie, and hit the Chick Kick. Trish pinned her and picked up the victory. Trish celebrated the huge victory, as JR and King reminds us that she will now face the Womens Champion, Lita, for the Womens Championship. They also remind us that John Cena will face Edge at Unforgiven for the WWE Championship. RAW then goes into a quick commercial[ Commercial ] RAW returns as we hear the theme of D-Generation X. They come out to a huge pop. Triple H grabs a microphone and they do their lingo. As they are about the finish, the theme of Shane McMahon interrupt them. He comes out with a Yankees jersey. He says that he has a huge surprise for them, because tonight, for his father, hes gonna personally pin DX. He then introduces his partner, The ECW Champion, the Big Show. The Big Show comes down to everyones surprise. DX look on the ramp, and their expression suddenly change. Shane and Show get on the apron, and the match beginsShane McMahon and ECW Champion The Big Show def. D-Generation XThe match begins with The Big Show and Triple H. They have an intense stare down, before Hunter goes for hard punches to the face of Show. Show shoves Hunter back, and he goes for punches again, but ends up being shoved again. He goes at the Big Show again, but runs into a big Boot. Show then makes a tag to Shane, who hits Triple H with a Lou Thesz Press, and lays him down with some stiff punches. He then hits Triple H with dropkicks to the legs as he gets up. RAW then goes into a brief commercial as Shane keeps the advantage. [ Commercial ] RAW returns as The Big Show is shown walking of Hunter. He makes a mistake, but going for a leg drop on Hunter, who rolls out of the way, and tags in HBK. HBK kicks the back of Show. He then does it again. Michaels then wait till Show got up, and hit him with an Enziguri. Show stands up staggering though, and Michaels hits another Enziguri. Which gets Show on his knees. Michaels then runs to the ropes, and hes caught by the Big Show who has a grip on his neck. Show gets up, and shoves Michaels into his corner. He then tags in Shane. Shane throws some Stiff Punches to Michaels as he is in the corner. Michaels then takes advantage, with Chops to the chest of Shane. He then hits an atomic drop, and knocks Shane down with a chop. He then goes on the top turnbuckle, and he nails the elbow drop. He then stalks Shane for the Sweet Chin Music. Shane then gets up, and he dodges the kick, and dives to Show and makes a tag. Show then gets in, and Shawn goes for a unexpected Sweet Chin Music on Show, but Show catches his foot, and grabs Michaels by the neck, and hits him with the Showstopper. Shane tags in, and pins Michaels to pick up the victory. Shane and Show celebrate the huge victory, as HHH checks on Shawn. They notice Hunter in the ring, who is checking on Shawn. Shane then goes to Triple H and brawls with him, HHH obviously gets the advantage, but when he turns to Show, he gets hit by the Showstopper. Show helps Shane up, and he tells Show to set HHH up in the corner. He does so as Shane goes to get a chair. Hunter then gets up slowly, but Shane smacks him with the chair, and HHH falls back into the turnbuckle. Shane then places the chair on Hunter, and he goes to the opposite turnbuckle. He stands on it, and he hits Triple H with the Coast To Coast. Shane gets up slowly from the effects of the move, as he and The ECW Champion, The Big Show stand over DX. They raise their hands as RAW comes to a close.© WWE 2006

-Realistic start to RAW with the DX/McMahons. Cena needs to win at Unforgiven. Hoping to see a gimmick match between DX/McMahons at Unforgiven. -Hardy over Benjamin was right for his return. -Cryme Tyme over Spirit Squad is expected. Hope that WGTT come back and take the titles. -Cena winning came to a shock, but good. Kane standing tall is great! Loving his monster reign on RAW. -Trish Stratus over Mickie James was the right call. -McMahon and Show over DX is interesting. Expecting McMahons and Show vs. DX. -Good show; lots of options for matches as far as Unforgiven goes. Good job, Thomas.

I miss that RAW theme song so much. I know that Fred Sampson is Darren Young, but to be honest, I wouldn't like to see him used as an official member of RAW or SmackDown! anytime soon. Hardy getting the win over Benjamin made sense since he just returned t RAW. Good opener. Not shocked to see that Cryme Tyme will get a title shot since they just beat the tag champions. Wouldn't be surprised to see the Spirit Squad retain the gold at Unforgiven. Stacked triple threat, which left me wondering why it was so early in the show but the positioning makes sense. I wish Kane wouldn't get a total monster push in a WWE diary for once. It's boring now because 95% of diaires (before Kane's push in real life) have Kane bring back the mask and attack everyone and anyone. It's repetitive, but don't take this as a dig directly at you by the way. Stratus/Lita should be good. Keep pushing Big Show, though. The guy's awesome.

WWE RAW: Monday 28th August 2006...Alright, good win for Gene Snitsky on Heat, hopefully we see Rob Conway advance somewhere though as he had the right gimmick going for him. Val Venis beating Fred Sampson is fine. Not sure what's with the double count out draw between The Highlanders, Viscera and Charlie Haas though, just doesn't explain a lot, especially to the main event of Heat. Onto RAW, decent opening promo to kick off the show with Shane McMahon in the ring, continuing this ongoing rivalry with DX and the McMahons, but also mentioning John Cena's situation. Hate how Shane actually supports Cena in this though, makes him look extremely bad in terms of looking like he's bipolar, switching between faces and heels. DX mind games, blah. Jeff Hardy beating Shelton Benjamin is acceptable, good match I suppose. Johnny Nitro's attack was pretty good, but looking forward to how this feud will compare to their classic feud between September and January 2007. Not a fan however at the fact Hardy was in the WWE Championship situation last week and immediately sent down into a contenders match. There are far more credible superstars to the WWE Intercontinental Championship than Hardy, who only returned last week. Cryme Tyme beating the Spirit Squad; would prefer these two teams facing at Unforgiven for the World Tag Team Championships than The Highlanders. John Cena gaining contention was predictable; Umaga and Edge being the opposition was smart booking. Umaga not losing was good too, not a fan of the disqualification finish though. Great first hour main event, with involvement from Kane too, but better off main eventing to me. Trish Stratus beating Mickie James is a pay-per-view quality match that I wish hadn't been wasted here, considering they battled at WrestleMania 22. Dislike more focus going to DX and the McMahons like in real life, wish the WWE Championship was the center of attention. Shane McMahon and Big Show beating DX is fine in a good main event, Show was an amazing force in 2006; don't drag him down. Nice close with the McMahons tall. A decent show, but it seemed more like you wanted to get all of the title matches for Unforgiven in three or four weeks set up, you need to organise more matches than title bouts. Randy Orton and Carlito should have had something to do outside of a backstage promo, and you should mix around undercard matches. Also still dislike the extinction of the brand exclusive pay-per-views.

Extreme Championship Wrestling is opened by pyros and the commentating team of Joey Styles and Taz. They inform us on what happened last week and the theme of Paul Heyman is heard as he comes down to the ring. He announces a few things saying that the ECW champion, The Big Show will not be defending his ECW championship at Unforgiven, cause he now has a role on Monday Nights RAW for Vince McMahon. He also says that since Sabu lost to Show last week, he will never get a ECW Title Shot again. He goes on until an unrecognized theme is heard, and it appears to be Elijah Burke and Sylvester Terkay. They come out to some heat. Burke has an mic and says that him and Heyman have not been formally introduced, and he tells him that his name is Elijah Burke, and his friends name is Sylvester Terkay. Heyman tells them that its nice to meet them finally, and he likes what impact they made last week. They thank him and says that last week they challenged Mr. Van Dam and never got an answer, so they would like to ask him if Sylvester Terkay could go one on one against Rob Van Dam. He doesn't hesitate and says that its a match. They thank Heyman for his time, and Heyman tells them he hopes to see more from them in the future. As Heyman leaves the ring, Rob Van Dam comes from the crowd with a kendo stick, but Burke and Terkay notice it and they escape. They go backstage as ECW goes into a commercial.
[ Commericial ]
ECW returns at Taz and Joey Styles inform us on what just occurred as Rob Van Dam will face off against Sylvester Terkay. The first match is about to begin until Punk comes out and says that anyone from the back can come out and just be embarrassed like CW Anderson was last week. He draws heat and Stevie Richards hits the ring surprisingly.
CM Punk def. Stevie Richards To a surprise to everyone in the arena, it appears that Stevie Richards has accepted CM Punk's challenge. Punk goes at Richards with hard strikes and kicks to the chests. Richards fought back a little bit and hits a DDT on Punk. He has an advantage on Punk until Punk nails the Shining Wizard and Bulldog. He stalks for the GTS, and Stevie escapes and goes for a Stevie Kick, but Punk reverses it and nails the GTS. He picks up his 2nd win. Punk gets out of the ring celebrating the hard fought victory. ECW goes backstage into Heyman's office. Sabu bursts in without a word and grips Heyman's suit. The Heyman enforcers pull him back as Heyman tells Sabu that if this is about the ECW title thing, then attacking him won't work, and instead now, Sabu has a match tonight, and its against the Heyman enforcers. Sabu begins to leave as Heyman goes to sit back down. He exits the room as ECW goes into a commerical.[ Commericial ] ECW returns as we move to our second match that was recently announced.Rob Van Dam def. Sylvester Terkay w/Elijah Burke[/link] Terkay had something to prove against Van Dam, but Van Dam was ruthless against Terkay. RVD started out the match with Lou Thesz Press, until he was restrained. He then laid out some hard kicks, and landed an enziguri. Eventually, Terkay dodged one of the kicks, and landed a hard roundhouse kick to his midsection. Terkay attacks RVD's midsection with submission holds. RVD eventually got free, but Terkay hit an overhead belly to belly suplex. He attacks RVD constantly, until RVD gets the advantage with a wheel kick. RVD then lands a rolling thunder. Terkay kicks up from the pin count. RVD then misses a moonsault, and Terkay locks in his Overhead Keylock. RVD refuses to tap, but begins to phase out. RVD doesn't give up, and escapes the move somehow, and lands a spinning wheel kick. He then doesn't hesitate, and hits the Five Star Frog Splash. He picks up the win. Van Dam celebrates in the ring as Burke helps Terkay up the ramp. Van Dam taunts with the crowd until Mike Knox runs in from behind Van Dam, and lays him out with a Reverse Swinging STO. Knox stands tall over Van Dam as ECW fades into commerical.[ Commercial ] ECW returns after Van Dam picked up the victory over Sylvester Terkay, and he was laid out by the monster Mike Knox. They also say RVD has one problem after a next. ECW moves onto its next match Kevin Thorn w/Ariel def. Balls Mahoney[/link] After picking up a huge victory over Dreamer, with help of Ariel, Thorn looks to pick up another win over another ECW Original. Thorn and Balls went at eachother. Each man getting near pinfall after pinfall. Near the end, Balls landed a diving leg drop and got a near pin fall. Ariel eventually hopped on the apron and distracted Balls. This only lasted for a while because Tommy Dreamer came to the ring, and drove Ariel away, and Balls turned into a Crucifix by Thorn. Thorn picks up the victory. Thorn looks on the ramp as Dreamer stares at Thorn after driving Ariel out. They look at eachother as ECW goes backstage where Van Dam is preparing for his match. ECW then goes into commercial.[ Commericial ] ECW returns as the main event begins eventuallyHeyman Enforcers w/ Paul Heyman def. Sabu via DisqualifcationBefore the match begins, Heyman announces a No Disqualification Stipulation for the Enforcers. After the bell rung, both of the Enforcers assaulted Sabu, nailing moves such as Double DDT, and Suplexes. During the match Sabu rolled out of the ring, and he picked up a chair from under the ring while no one noticed. When the Enforcers went to go bring him back to the ring, he attacks them with the chair. Sabu goes insane with the chair laying each man out as Heyman watches on. He tells Sabu that he will regret doing this before Sabu taunts Heyman with attacking him with the chair, thus forcing Heyman to retreat the backstage. Sabu tries to throw the chair at Heyman but misses. ECW fades as Sabu is livid as Heyman goes up the ramp. ECW fades as Sabu stares at HeymanWWE 2006 ™

ECW on Sci-Fi: Tuesday 29th August 2006...Somewhat happy to see this make a return. Decent opening promo with Elijah Burke and Sylvester Terkay interrupting Paul Heyman. Didn't really like how he revealed that Big Show would not appear due to better things to do on RAW. He could have easly appeared on this show at least. CM Punk continuing his undefeated streak is good. I'm interested to see if you go through with December 2 Dismember. Stevie Richards hopefully remains relevant. Sabu shouldn't be speaking really. I do like this position he is in against Heyman though. Rob Van Dam beating Sylvester Terkay wasn't bad a decent match but the appearance from Mike Knox was unexpected. Wonder where Kelly Kelly is. Also, where was Elijah Burke in all of this? Kevin Thorn beating Balls Mahoney got Thorn over, not interested in this. Tommy Dreamer staredown is cool. Lastly, the Basham Brothers is it against Sabu? Not a bad main event I suppose, nothing special. Liked the finish, but overall a weak show that really did need Big Show to make it look better.

Good opening promo, hopefully we get Burke vs. RVD soon. Punk winning is obvious, keep building him. He was using Anaconda Vise still around this time, though. Glad RVD won, Mike Knox post match attack? I guess you could be building a new stable against RVD or something. Glad Kevin Thorn won, was always a big fan of his. I like Sabu basically flipping out on everyone, was a good ending. Good show, but we didn't see much/any of Big Show which is odd.

Smackdown opens up as John Bradshaw Layfield and Michael Cole tell us that SmackDown should be explosive as always. As they go on the theme of SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long hits the P.A to a good pop. He says that it feels good to be out there and he also has a few announcements. He says that in tonights main event, The World Heavyweight Champion, King Booker, will team up with The Great Khali, to face the team of Batista, and the Undertaker. This gets a nice pop as Long is about to speak on, the theme of Chavo Guerrero is heard as he comes out with his aunt Vickie Guerrero. He grabs a mic and says that hes sorry for interrupting Teddy, but he wants everyone to know that he took out everyones hero, Rey Mysterio. He brings Kash back in, and goes for the Sliced Bread, but Kash gets loose, and drops Kendrick onto his groin on the turnbuckle. He drops Kendrick to the mat and gets a near pinfall. As they get up, Kendrick nails a Sliced Bread out of no where to pick up the win. Kendrick and London celebrate their win, after a close match. After the match, Miz grabs a match and claims that he is "undefeated" and that as long as he is there, he will stay undefeated. He tells everyone to give him a HOO-RAH, and they just shower him with boos. He walks backstage as SmackDown goes backstage. Teddy Long is in his office, until Montel Vontavious Porter walks in. Teddy welcomes M.V.P and M.V.P thanks him for inviting him. MVP asks hows that deal going because it will be recognized as the biggest contract signing in WWE history. Teddy tells him that things are going well, and he can't wait to see what MVP has to showcase. As MVP is about to leave, he turns right into the Boogeyman as hes oozing out worms through his mouth. MVP escapes out of the office quickly as Teddy Long stands behind his desk staring at Boogeyman. Smackdown rolls into a commercial. [ Commercial ] SmackDown returns as the first hour main event begins.Chavo Guerrero w/ Vickie Guerrero def. Rey MysterioThis match begins as Mysterio charges at Chavo, but he exits the ring. Chavo beats down on Rey for a long period of this match. Rey eventually gets momentum but Chavo stops it again. Chavo then hits the 3 Amigos, and goes for a Frog Splash, but Mysterio rolls out of the way, and as Chavo gets up, Mysterio hits a hurricarana setting Chavo up for the 619. Chavo is fuming and tells Teddy its not fair and Chavo eventually leaves the room escorting Vickie out. SmackDown comes back and rolls into its next match.
Mr. Kennedy comes to the ring and does his signature taunt to get his mic. He says that tonight he has a one on one match with the #1 contender to the United States Champion, Bobby Lashley. He then continues by saying that he has a challenge, if he wins, then he wants in the US Title Match. But if he loses, he'll leave the situation. Eventually Bobby Lashley comes down and tells Kennedy that hes on. The match beginsMr. Kennedy def. Bobby Lashley Both of these men are rising stars, and they both look to be in the US Title Match at Unforgiven. Kennedy dodges one of Lashley's punches, and takes advantage of him, by grappling his waist, and dragging him around onto the mat. Kennedy rumbles around with Lashley, and Lashley eventually powers himself up, and throws hard punches at Kennedy. Lashley then lands some hard suplexes, and clotheslines followed by quick covers. During Lashley's momentum, Kennedy reverses a spear, and Lashley lands into the Turnbuckle, and he goes for a quick roll up, but Lashley kicks out. Kennedy is shocked but he takes advantage of Lashley for a while. Lashley then gets Kennedy away from him, and nails a hard spear. He goes for a pin, but Kennedy kicks out! Lashley then stalks for another one, but like earlier, he lands in the turnbuckle, and Kennedy throws him on top of the turnbuckle, but Lashley shoves him off, and is looking to perform a highflying move, but the theme of Finlay[/link] is heard and Lashley pauses for a second as Finlay walks out onto the ramp, and Kennedy takes quick advantage of it, and delivers a Green Bay Plunge to Lashley. He pins Lashley and picks up the victory. Kennedy celebrates after the long fought match, as he is now included in the United States Championship Match announced at Unforgiven. Finlay walks to the ring and Kennedy gives him a quick hug, but as Kennedy is about to exit the ring, Finlay clocks him with the shillelagh. He laughs at Kennedy then exits the ring. SmackDown goes backstage to Matt Hardy as he congradulates Layla on winning the diva search. They chat it up until Gregory Helms enters behind Matt and asks Layla why is she talking to a loser like Matt. Matt smirks at Helms as he tells her she has to talk with his buddy Matt. She leaves, as he says that Matt and he has been friends for a very long time, but everyone knows that hes better than him and Jeff, and inserts its pretty obvious. He says that a loser like Matt shouldn't even be here. Matt tells Helms to prove that hes a loser, and tells Helms that next week, hes on. Helms shrugs and says its ok. He backs off and as Hardy turns around, he clocks him with the Cruiserweight title. He bends down and tells Matt that he'll see him next week, and he exits the spot as SmackDown goes into a commercial.[ Commercial ] SmackDown returns as Cole and JBL remind us that we are keeping up with the condition of Matt Hardy. JBL sneaks in that Hardy deserved it, and he was smart enough to never turn his back on a guy like Gregory Helms. They continue and all of the men come out for this blockbuster main event.Batista and The Undertaker def. The Great Khali and World Heavyweight Champion King Booker This main event spotlights two of the main feuds in the WWE. Batista wants to start off with Booker, but he gets Khali instead, and after the bell rings, Taker tags Batistas back, and goes at Khali. He throws punches and Khali, and ducks Khali's chops. He continues to throw them until Khali grabs Takers head, and lands a headbutt. He handles Taker like a ragdoll for a minute, then goes to tag Booker in, but Booker tells him he has everything under control. Khali continues to dominate Taker, as SmackDown goes into a commercial break. [ Commercial ] Bookers in the ring and he beats down on Taker. He tags Khali back in and he man handles Taker once more. He then stalks Taker for a chop, but Taker ducks and grips Khali's neck in Chokeslam position, but Khali grips Takers neck, with both hands, and chokes Taker down. Khali then wants Batista in, and tosses Taker over into his turnbuckle, and Batista just slaps Takers shoulder. Batista runs in energized, slapping Khali with clotheslines that won't knock Khali down, and Khali gives Batista a headbutt eventually as well. Batista then clubs the back of Khali's leg, and brings him down, and hits a DDT as he gets the big man down. He then rushes to King Booker, but he hops off the apron. Batista then turns around, and uses his instincts to duck under a chop from Khali, and nail a huge spear! Hes about to pin him, until Taker wants in, and Batista tags him in. Taker then goes to Khali and delivers a huge chokeslam to Khali. He pins Khali as Batista watches Booker. Batista keeps his eyes on Booker and they exchange words, as Taker does his signature pose to close out the show. WWE © 2006

September 4th | Atlanta, Georgia | Phillips Arena
[ Heat ] Gene Snitsky def. Jim Duggan Mickie James def. Torrie Wilson with Special Guest Ref, Canadice Michelle Charlie Haas def. Eugene The third installment of Monday Night RAW going on the road to Unforgiven is here, as Jim Ross, and Jerry Lawler welcome us to Monday Night RAW. They tell us a few things, such as reminding us of last weeks RAW. As they go on, the theme of Edge is heard, as he comes out with Womens Champion, Lita. He enters the ring and begins to brag about him being the WWE Champion. He also mentions that this'll be another worthless time for John Cena to even challenge for Edge's championship, so he wants to make things a challenge. He knows that Cena won't give up, but he wants to cut to the chase, and he has an offer for Cena. He wants to face John Cena in Edge's specialty, Tables, Ladders, and Chairs. Then he brings up, that if Cena loses this bout, John Cena must leave Monday Night RAW, and he will never ever get a WWE title shot as long as the Rated R Superstar holds it. He then looks up the titantron and asks "how bout it Cena". Edge is responded by the theme of John Cena and Edge jets the ring and stands ringside. Cena rushes to the ring and taunts the fans. He has a mic and asks Edge if hes really dumb enough to lay down this offer. Edge says its not dumb, its smart, and in fact, it remains that if Cena may lose, he will leave Monday Nights, and go to the B-Show, back where he started. Cena tells Edge that he never accepted the offer, but he is most likely to, for several reasons. One, he gets more freedom to kick Edge's ass all around the arena as much as he wants to. Two, he can put Edge through a god damn table. And three, he will once again be the WWE Champion. The crowd pops to Cena, but Edge tells him that its bizzare to even think Cena has a chance of winning. Cena says that if its bizzare, then hes one crazy bastard cause he accepts Edge's match. Edge tells Cena thats good, and that next week they will have an official contract signing. Cena tells Edge its a date, and he taunts the crowd once more as Edge goes to the back. RAW goes into its first commercial of the night.[ Commercial ] Monday Night RAW returns as Lawler and Ross inform us on what just went down, as John Cena has accepted a TLC Match with Edge, and if Cena loses, he'll be gone from Monday Nights. They say they will cover this more as we go onto our first match of the night.Jeff Hardy def. Chris Masters Another match for Hardy here tonight going into his match against Johnny Nitro come Unforgiven. His gameplan looked obvious tonight to pick up the win over Chris Masters, avoid him, and the Masterlock. As the bell rung, Hardy took it to Masters, with series of quick forearms, and dodging all of his power moves. This gameplan didn't last long, as Masters landed a sickening clothesline. He took control of Hardy, and threw him around like a ragdoll. He went for another clothesline, but Hardy ducked and landed the Whisper In the Wind, but Masters still stood, and Hardy landed a Twist of Fate. Hardy then ascends onto the turnbuckle, and lands the Swanton Bomb. He pins Masters and picks up the hard fought victory. Hardy celebrates, but hes obviously watching his back for Morrison, who doesn't seem to show. He celebrates the win as RAW goes backstage. Todd Grisham standing by Carlito, and he asks Carlito whats up with all of the hostility with him and Orton. Carlito simply states, what Orton did last week "was not cool" at all. He did something a coward would do and blindside another man. He continues talking about Orton, until Orton walks up to Carlito. He tells Carlito to stop his complaining, and tells Carlito that he messed with the business of the Legend Killer, and that "was not cool". Carlito says that he wasn't gonna let Orton end Flair's career. Orton says that since Carlito thinks he can interfere in business, then he wants to face Carlito tonight. Carlito tells Orton that its a match then. Carlito keeps an eye on Orton as he walks away. RAW then goes back to the ring and we roll onto our next match of the evening.Mikeyw/ Spirit Squad def. JTG w/Shad Gaspard This matchup contains 1/2 of each of the tag teams heading into the World Tag Team Title match. JTG and Mikey square up while circling the ring, until they lockup and JTG gets advantage. He takes down Mikey and controls him for a while, until Mikey gets free and lands a Dropkick. He takes advantage of JTG for a while, and JTG gains momentum from the crowd, and fights free from Mikey, but gets dropped again by him. JTG is down again, but as he fights free, Kenny hops on the apron, and distracts him, until Shad runs over there, and bulldozes through the Spirit Squad, and takes all of them on, and as JTG turns around, he moves right into a Facebuster from Mikey, and he picks up the victory. Mikey regroups with his teammates, and takes down Shad with them. They leave they're marks on Cryme Tyme, as they head to the back. The camera soon strolls to the parking lot, as a limo comes in. As the door opens, a big boot steps out of it, as its obvious who it is, and two men exit the limo heading to the ring. RAW slips into a commercial after this.[ Commercial ] Monday Night RAW returns as WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, Shane McMahon, and ECW Champion Big Show[/link] walk out to the ring as they are rained by boos. Vince grabs a microphone in the ring and starts laughing. He says that last week, those two degenerates, Shawn Michaels, and Triple H, got their asses kicked, by Shane and Big Show. He tells them good job, and Vince continues by saying that he saw DX's poor attempt to embarress him, with their slogan "Vince Loves Cocks" with me in a Chicken Suit. He states that its completely absurd as he hates cocks. The crowd laughs at him as he says what, and Shane comes and takes the microphone. He tells the fans to shut up, and that with the help of Big Show, we destroyed your heroes. He then states that they shouldn't even show up tonight. He laughs, as Big Show takes his mic. He says that despite all of the problems him and the McMahons had, thats the past, and now hes joining Vince, to take out the pest of the lockerroom. He also states that he is also "bored" with the competition ECW. Before they can continue, the theme of D-Generation X hits as they skip out onto the ramp. They stay at the ramp as Triple H has a mic and is about to speak before Vince asks them what the hell are they doing here. Hunter tells Vince thats why they are out here, because no man of lard and the son of a cocklover can hold DX down. He states that they may have lost, but they will still be here every week. Vince laughs at Hunter, as it seems he thought out something. He says that he has all the power, and he can disable DX. So at Unforgiven, hes placing DX in a match, as a matter a fact, a Handicap Match, which will determine if DX stay together. Shawn and Hunter look at eachother and back at Vince, and asks who are the opponents. Vince says that its himself, Show, and Shane. HHH then states that if they can beat the McMahons once, they could beat em again, its not that hard even though Show's on their side. They say hell, they can come down there and kick their asses right now. They begin walking to the ring as Big Show stands infront of the McMahon's before Vince says stop. He says that one of them will have a match tonight in the main event. He says that tonight, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, and John Cena will be against the WWE Champion Edge, ECW Champion Big Show, and Shane McMahon. Show smirks at Shawn as DX backs up the ramp. RAW fades into a commercial. [ Commercial ] Monday Night RAW returns as they have just announced a handicapped match where DX will face the McMahons and Big Show, and if DX loses, they disband. Also announced tonight, we get a blockbuster 6 man tag match, as John Cena teams with DX, to face off against the WWE Champion Edge, ECW Champion Big Show, and Shane McMahon. But for now, we have our first hour main event.Carlito def. Randy Orton[/link] 2 weeks ago, Carlito saved Ric Flair from a brutal beating from Randy Orton. Last week, Orton took out Carlito for interfering in "business". Now these men get to face off. They start it off with a lockup, before Orton lands a knee to the gut of Carlito, and lands some brutal tactics on Carlito. He takes down Carlito and has him in for a head lock. He has Carlito on the mat for a while as RAW rolls into a quick commercial. [ Commercial ] We return and Orton still has the advantage, laying down some stomps on Carlito, and going for frequent pins. The momentum is shifted when Orton goes for a knee, but misses, and Carlito lands a Springboard Elbow. Carlito lands a couple Springboards to keep his momentum. He then lands a couple of Dropkicks. He pins Orton frequently like Orton done to him. Orton reversed Carlito's Springboard Elbow, and went for an RKO, but Orton was shoved off, and Carlito went for a backstabber, but Orton held for the ropes, and Carlito dropped. As Carlito recovered, Orton was about to go for an RKO, until Ric Flair ran down the ramp and hopped on the apron. Orton took a wild swing and Flair hopped off, letting out Woooooooo's, as Orton watches him, and before he knows it, Carlito catches Orton and lands a Backstabber and pins Orton to pick up the huge victory. Flair just screwed Orton over from this match. But at the same time, he returned a favor for Carlito. They walk up the ramp laughing, as Orton is in the ring fuming. RAW goes backstage, as Jeff Hardy is shown until Johnny Nitro walks up. He tells Hardy that Hardy has been on a lucky streak. Hardy stands and asks Nitro what of it. Nitro says that he wants to just congradulate him on the hard earned victory. He holds his hand out, and Hardy just walks away, while Nitro controls himself. RAW goes into a quick commercial.[ Commercial ] RAW returns as JR and King tell us that we have had a great night tonight, and we still have more left of it. They bring up a promo for Unforgiven, with the theme "Run" by Day of Fire. They thank them and the theme of Trish Stratus is heard. She says that it has been a few weeks since shes announced that she will retire after Unforgiven, but she expects that she will put on a hell of a match in front of her hometown of Toronto, Canada. Before you know it, Womens Champion Lita[/link] comes out and says that Trish can put on the best performance of her life, but it won't result in her winning. Trish tells Lita that it will actually result in her winning, and speaking of winning, Lita should focus on her match right now. The match begins as soon as her opponent reaches the ring. Womens Champion Lita def. Torrie Wilson[/link] Lita looked to dominate Torrie Wilson, and thats exactly what she did, taking her down with hair pulls, and hitting various suplexes. Torrie did try to fight back though, but it was futile, as Lita continued dominating her. During points during the match, Lita pointed at Trish, telling her to watch. Lita then nailed a sharp boot in the gut of Torrie, and hit the Lita DDT. She didn't appear to be done though. She got on the top turnbuckle, and landed the Litasault on Torrie. She pinned her and picked up the victory over Torrie. Lita took her title and taunted Trish with it while Trish clapped as RAW's main event is coming next. RAW rolls into a commercial quickly then.[ Commercial ] A promo for The Marine appears as JR and King tell us that movie looks awesome, and they tell us that we have a stacked Pay Per View for Unforgiven. They then announce the matches that were announced during the build up to Unforgiven. RAW's main event then begins.DX, and John Cena def. WWE Champion Edge, Shane McMahon, ECW Champion Big Show via DQ All of these men hold a grudge with eachother, as we are in the main event of the night. Shawn Michaels and Big Show start it off. Show avoids Big Show for a while, but can't do anything but deliver knife edged chops, and that barely effects show. Show just grabs onto HBK's body, and tosses him around the ring. Shawn tries to run back one time, but Show lands a devastating Big Boot. Show then goes for a Leg Drop, but Shawn moves out of the way, and tags in Triple H. Cena watches Edge the whole time and they exchange words. Triple H throws frequent punches to the head of show, which actually effect him, and eventually, show catches a fist, and throws Hunter back. He gets up, and grabs Hunter by the neck, and looks to deliver the Showstopper, but Hunter escapes and delivers a knee to the face of Show, staggering him around, and delivers another one. He then goes for another one, but Show lays a big boot on Hunter. RAW rolls into a quick commercial. [ Commercial ] RAW returns as Shane McMahon has HHH on the ground, and stomping away at him. He and Show make frequent tags, until Edge decides he wants in on this match. Edge delivers stomps to HHH, as John Cena watches him. Edge then goes for the Edgecator, but Hunter shoves him off, and goes to tag in someone, but Edge holds Hunter back, and locks in the Edgecator. Triple H is in heavy pain, but refuses to tap, and eventually he reaches the ropes. As Edge gets up, Triple H hits a knife edged chop, followed by more, and then huge clotheslines to gain his momentum. He then hits a flying knee on Edge. Cena wants in. HHH goes over to Cena, but tags in Shawn. Shawn delivers flying forearms to Edge, and does it for a while, until Edge moves out of the way, and delivers a huge big boot. He then crawls to his corner, and tags in Big Show, while John Cena slaps Shawn's hand himself. He hops into the ring, and delivers his patent flying shoulder blocks, which barely do anything to Show. He then ducks under a clothesline, and goes for a spinout powerbomb, which he couldn't land, but Show hit Cena with a heavy Chop to the chest. Show controls Cena around for a second. Cena then ducks under a clothesline from Show, and chops Shows leg down, and he tries to go for the STFU, but Show is too long, and Cena couldn't lock it in. The match came to an end, where Cena decided to hit the FU, and lifted the Big Show, but Edge runs in, and cracks Cena with the title, causing the bell to be rung. Edge rolls out of the ring, as Cena is out cold. DX watch Edge go up the ramp, but they have no care for Cena. They turn around and duck under the arms of Show and Shane. They deliver punches, which results in Shawn and Triple H deliver a hard clothesline to Show, which puts him out of the ring. They then stalk Shane, and deliver a Sweet Chin Music/Pedigree combination as Vince watches. They celebrate with the crowd, still not caring for Cena, and do they're signature DX chops in the direction of the ramp, to end the show.

Good call to stick with the Cena/Edge TLC Match at Unforgiven. Honestly, I would really love to see Edge retain and send Cena to SD. Decent opening. Jeff winning is clearly the right decision, seeing as how he needs to the momentum for his IC Title match Johnny Nitro. Mikey over JTG is decent. Just more build for the Tag Team Championship match at Unforgiven. Keeping Big Show aligned with The McMahons against D-X is fine. Seems clear that D-X won't be losing with that stipulation. Huge win for Carlito. Very interesting to have Flair cost Orton this victory. Intrigued to say the least. Trish needs the victory at Unforgiven since it's her retirement match. Solid win for Lita to gain some momentum. Huge main event, perhaps it should've been saved for next week. Nonetheless an interesting ending with Edge causing the DQ. Doesn't seem like D-X though to not care for Cena. A solid edition of Raw with some great build for Unforgiven. Keep it up.

WWE RAW: Monday 4th September 2006...Snitsky with a win is always nice to see. He had a really blank personality around this time, that I hope you can change. Mickie James beating Torrie Wilson was correct, don't understand why this wasn't on RAW though, considering that Candice Michelle refereed it, and the man would have probably had some storyline factor to it. 'Canadice', haha. Good promo to kick off the show, acceptably setting up their Tables, Ladders and Chairs match at Unforgiven. I hope that John Cena and Edge fight here in their final encounter. Great way to kick off the show in the ring with Jeff Hardy with a win against Chris Masters a few weeks following Hardy's rejoining to the company. I hope that Masters gets a nice push, honestly. The Spirit Squad and Cryme Tyme feud fails to intrigue me with all honesty. The Spirit Squad need repackaging immediately. Mikey with a win against JTG isn't too surprising, if Shad Gaspard gets in the ring with a Squad member, he better win to even things up. One on one, Shad would destroy any of the Spirit Squad. The McMahons and Big Show promo on DX was nice, also advances the ECW Championship and brand. Sounds like a solid main event for this episode of RAW indeed. Wise move to have Vince not book himself in a match, but his son, Shane. Carlito beating Randy Orton was a surprise, could set up to their great yet short match at Unforgiven later that month. Ric Flair costing Orton the match is especially interesting. I feel Flair is better as a heel, would be awesome if Flair turned heel and sided with Orton in a great storyline twist. Trish Stratus I hope doesn't stick around honestly. She's done almost everything possible. It seems very predictable that Lita will lose the WWE Womens Championship at Unforgiven. Lita beating Torrie...Wilson doing double duty? Not a fan, if you wanted to be more reasonable, Candice Michelle should have competed, since she technically hasn't wrestled tonight. Lastly, great main event with DX and John Cena beating Edge, Big Show and Shane McMahon. The disqualification finish made sense, and a chaotic close to the show was the right way to go. Overall, quite a solid episode, got quite a lot set up for Unforgiven in two weeks.
