God I hope Saints fans don't get big heads cause their defense held Brett Farve and the Vikings 2nd string offense in check (though TRW and I know from experience they most likely will)

What? Sid Rice was the only one out that I can remember. Berrian and Percy Harvin, aswell as Shinacoe were still there, barely doing anything.

Berrian is 3rd WR, They had at least 1 O-Lineman go down, Farve is 41 c'mon. They had AP, Harvin and Farve. Besides I know Saints fans. From this 1 game they will say that the defense is top 5 in the league. It's what they do, they have been since I've known them starting in 95 up until now. You might not go to other boards but try it sometime and see why me and TRW are so down on Saints fans.

Sidney Rice is getting obnoxiously overrated.

I do think the problems are more with Favre than Rice being absent. How about show to camp earlier and get your timing down with your receivers? Oh, and you are old as crap, and you are finally starting to show it. He looked tired and worn down already. Maybe he will get in better shape as the season continues, but if I were a Vikings fan I would be worried.
My dislike for most Saints fans is well documented for sure. I have encountered fans from every NFL team, and the Saints fans are by far the most obnoxious, even worse than the Jets, Steelers, Cowboys, Giants, and Eagles fans. Aside from the division rivalry, that certainly is a large contributor as to why I despise them so much. There are always exceptions, and BV seems to be pretty level headed compared to most Saints fans I have encountered, but I think they have the highest douchebag % in the league.

Broncos fans, to me, seem to be the most ridiculous.

Eagles fans, for the most part, are absolutely obnoxious, disgusting, and general trash.

But you can't honestly say that D wasn't impressive against the Vikings. But Favre still had options to go to, don't hide that.

Both team's D were impressive, IMO. Given the Saint's first procession, it seemed like they were going to just march up and down the field. But that wasn't so. And at the end of the first half, it seemed like Favre had gotten into a rhythm, but that wasn't so either.
I think Favre just needs a chance to trust some of the newer people, since his go-to guys have kind of shifted. I'm not worried, personally. It was a good game, IMO. I'd like to see him spread out the ball a little more, and I'd also like to see them actually give AP the ball in the second half next game.

Seems like after the first drive the Saint's offense didn't do much else.

I was actually surprised that they missed not one, but two FGs. That would have given then a bigger margin for the Vikes to recover from. I was a little POed on that catch that was ruled as hitting the ground, as the second angle clearly showed it never hit the ground, but that's football for you.
I think outside of that, the thing that surprised me the most is how ineffective Allen was all night. I knew Favre wasn't going to get anywhere as roughed up as last year, I knew Brees was going to spread out the ball, and I knew Peterson would get a modest amount of yards.
I think the Saints D did a better job on forcing the pass, as many expected them to. Would have like to have seen the Vikes hold Bush a little more, but kudos to him regardless.
I think both teams will look better in their next outing, as I said before, I'm not worried. However, big props to AP for what appears to be some great work on keeping that ball out of harms way. He was spinning and jerking as he was last year, but you could clearly tell he was protecting that ball alot more carefully.

Oddest thing to me is the weakest offensive linemen in the Saint's lineup was the one containing Allen all night.

Broncos fans, to me, seem to be the most ridiculous. How so? Not all of them. But it seems that they always get overzealous about their team. The Broncos were CLEARLY not an elite team last year, despite starting off really strong. I remember numerous Broncos fans predicting an undefeated, 15-1, or 14-2 season. Meanwhile, I kept trying to explain how they would be lucky to finish 10-6. Turns out my prediction was even giving them too much credit.

Can't wait to go see the Patriots play thanks to winning free tickets in the Verizon Gridiron Challenge... Get to see Batman(Owens),Robin(Ochocinco) and Alfred(Palmer) all on the same team.
I hope that Brady and Moss have great games and Darius Butler(UCONN) gets some tackles as well and of course that Patriots get the 'W'!

Direct tv came today and said they couldnt install it because there were too many trees in the way. Looks like no NFL package for me this year . Does anybody here have sirius and use it to listen to all the games? If so, how is it? I am really considering signing up just to listen to all the NFL games.
