I picked up the Bushwacker set....
Upon looking at them in the package, they look fine. But, once opened, their paint on the back of their cargo pants is all smudges. Probably one of the worst 'paint' mistakes I have ever seen.
Then my Snuka Legend has two of the same calf, and it looks totally awkward.
I love Mattel's line, they've reeled me in totally with the Legends... but they really need to do something about the quality control. I've read numerous reports of weird findings like these. I can live with the Snuka(no more left anyways)... but the Bushwackers are just a big smudge.
Anyone have similiar problem with either of these?

I just purchased 4 more Legends 2 figures to open. Please note, this is my first time opening Legends as I am a MOC collector. No paint or dye problems other than Rude having a black spot on his shoulder from his robe. However, in my opinion, the figure leg joints are inconsistent, especially the joint at the ankle. For example, my Kamala has fallen down 4 times today. Not all but some of the ankle joints are too loose making the figure difficult to balance. I could see display collectors having a gripe with this.

My kamala keeps falling over as well. I had the same problem with Hawk. I bought a new Hawk and returned the old one. Same with E1 Undertaker. Loose ankle

again ill say it... yeah it sucks you got less than awesome figures.. but there isnt anything wrong with mattels QC... there will ALWAYS be a small percentage of things that make it out , that isnt great... the few that get posted here are more than likely less than 1% of the actual figures.....

You know what, I think they need to make different stands for these figures... with back support. I own every Elite figure and lately they have been falling like dominos. It's pretty annoying. Chavo is resting his forehead on Randy Ortons upper back as we speak...lol.

"Just return them"
Yeah, OK... and what if they dont have another Snuka? It's just a pain.... once is fine, but it seems like it's continuing to happen. When I pay 30+ dollars for two figures- I expect them to be perfect. I don't think I should have to repack them, bring them back, deal with someone at TRU, and find them again.
And as fall as them falling over, lol, I only display mine also- and I have the same problem. They look so nice when they're all up. But once Mark Henry or Kamala falls- its downhill from there, lol. A backrest or something would be a great idea, wont happen though.

If all the figures aren't like that, and you play with them, chances are they'll be messed up like that anyways when being played with, and if they are just for looks/put on the shelf, you kinda have a factory error? Or Product error figures if the rest of the ones people get don't look like that, I'd keep them just because they are un-usual. lol.

I agree. A company like Mattel should exercise more care. I have told the story numerous times about my Primo with half of a moustache and my Jericho with one wrist taped. Since then I have seen a Carlito missing an eyebrow, a Santino with huge smudges of hair missing, HBKs with facial hair all over, including on the forehead, and a Morrison with double stamped leg designs. My Kamala also falls down due to loose ankles. Their QC is nearly non-existent.

I think Mattel really do need to up the QC. Jakks figures were pretty crappy, but I don't ever remember buying them and wondering whether I'm going to have to return them tomorrow because of some defect. I always worry with Mattel figures. A bunch of my elites have really loose, weak ankles. I think Cena's the worst.

I've had maybe a few instances where the shoulder joint wouldn't move and my Jimmy Snuka has a messed up left foot, but that's about it.

All of mine have been perfect with the exception of a small black smudge on my B5 Hurricane's leg.

I'm kind of surprised by this. I remember their DCUC line reportedly had terrible QC throughout the first few waves, and that it's greatly been improved over time. You'd think that (supposedly) being made at the same factory, means that the WWE line would be good quality-wise too!
I don't have too many Mattel figures (well not enough to make a representative judgement) but the ONLY problem I've had was 2-pack Jericho's waist being stuck till I forced it. In fact, all the elites I've had have had really nice, sturdy joints and very good paintjobs. They really feel like collectors pieces to me. Again, not enough figures to judge, maybe I'll have a bit of bad luck in the future :s

I've had alot of problems with mine
my basic mark henry has 2 left arms, my sdcc undertaker has a loose ankle so he is always leaning back or falling over and so does my elite kane, my khali has super tight legs that feel like they are gonna break everytime i move them, my batista vs john cena wm 2 pack came with 2 john cena name tags, one of the balls on my eg shawns arm is so tight it won't move with the arm when i move the arm so i have to move it by itself and it's a different color than the rest of his body.
and i've returned alot of elites because they had warped legs or loose ankles or something so i mostly buy basics now

Mattel's QC suck. I've seen so many figures with paint smudges on the shelves. Nobody buys these cos it's really obvious, like a smudge on the Miz's nose, blurred paint on Goldust's costume, etc.

All my Elite 5 figures have bad QC problems. They all have paint smear/smudge marks.

Yes, I have came across this several times while figure shopping. This is why I cannnot order Mattel figures on-line. I like to see the figures on the store shelves and comparing for best paint jobs. I have came across some figures with missing eyebrows, paint drips on the face and arms, etc. One time I was looking for a Dolph Basic 4 figure, I had looked everywhere and when I finally found one, he had a paint drip going across his forehead. Needless to say, I passed on him and have never seen him again in stores.
Now, with the "Bugs Bunny" Piper from the Legends 2 pack. I was looking through the sets trying to find a not-so bad looking one and still have not found one I like.
Mattel needs to for sure have better Quality Control. It's frustrating that I have to be afraid of ordering these on-line due to poor paint jobs. I have a few figures I have missed from some of the earlier sets that I have found on EBAY or RSC, but you never know what you will get. I hope they fix this problem soon.

Now I figured that this thread was just people over reacting, however I did just buy a Piper/Orton set and after spending an hour in the freezer I tested Orton's legs and both of them broke at the hip. Ill just return this set.and buy another but it is annoying

Ill just return this set.and buy another but it is annoying Don't put then in the freezer. Being a huge Piper fan I picked up 3 of that set and all 6 figures had stuck/frozen hips. I ran them under hot water from the tap for about 2 minutes each and just worked the hips for another 4 minutes each had they all work fine now. I did the same with Legends 2 and the Bushwackers. I find it funny that 90 % of the Legends have had stiff hips yet only my Elite 1 Punk had that issue of the modern guys. As far as QC goes I had 2 issues. 1 of my Hurricane figures had 2 of the same calf Tpiece from Knee to top of boot) and my Kmart cage Orton was missing his back tattoo. Other than that my figures have been fine.
