Let me start off by saying for the last two and a half years or so that Jakks was making figures I'd get them here and there but I lost interest. However Mattel has brought my interest back. When Mattel first came out it seemed like Toys R Us was loaded with figures. Now it seems like they don't even get in the basic sets Basic 5 has been out for almost two months now and my local TRU has still yet to get them. They haven't gotten Elite 5 in either and they have still yet to get in Entrance Greats series two and have just now got in Royal Rumble! It just seems like TRU has become the place to get everything last and the place to get the least stock in. Anyone else notice this? It seems like people have had better luck at places like Target, Walmart and Kmart.

I have seen Elite 5 by me man, my TRU has the EG2 figures as well if you wanna give it a look over, I know you come up here from time to time.

Sounds just like my local TRU. They still haven't got any Basic 5 in or EG 2. They never even got Elite 4 never mind series 5. The store also just put out Royal Rumble as well. Also still no sign of the Rey box set or WM 26 but those are fairly new anyway.

Much better than the Woodbridge TRU. Woodbridge TRU use to be good but as of late they always seem to be the last to get in stuff. |

I order from TRU website because the store has nothing. The legends 2 packs are exclusive unfortunately so I have to check there from time to time.

The local TRU doesn't seem to get anything either, there is one a few miles south of my house that doesn't have anything it looks like x-mas time. I think the problem is that TRU orders so much that when it gets spread out to stores its not even so some stores end up with alot of old crap that you bought a month ago, while others are getting more recent stuff. Then they don't get anything new from the warehouse until their stock is getting low.

Yeah my TRU is clogged with Basic 3 Jericho and Mickie James as well. I feel like my TRU skipped basic 4 as well but I know I've seen a few Matt Hardy's there so I guess they got them in but got a very little amount. I blame this on the fact that TRU ordered too much basic 3. |

I don't go into town much, but I remember that on 1/1/10 TRU was the only store I went to that had no figures. To be honest, I'd probably never go back if it wasn't for their exclusives.
And I also agree that Target, Walmart, and Kmart are the best places for Mattel figures. I was very surprised when I found them in Kmart back in January.

I was talking to a manager in TRU and they don't order stuff enless the other stuff is sold. I asked if they had Elite 4 back when they had been there and he said we only have what's out(he checked) b/c we don't get shipments to the end of the week and i dont see them on order b/c it shows we have 19 in stock. Most were Rhodes and Teds. So the same goes for basic so when they aren't selling none get put on order. I think it is automatic order or something. I try to get up to Watchung at least once or twice a week but they are very hit or miss too sometimes.

My TRU sucks. I always leave there disappointed. When they put out something new, it's something I've had for months. I haven't bought many Mattel figures there, but I've been in there like a zillion times.
I went there today and saw 2 unopened boxes on the top shelf... but I looked closer, and they're just those FlexForce DVD heros.

I climbed to the top shelf to find 2 cases of B5 the other day lol. They have the L2packs and L1 but no L2. They only order when the old product is gone. This has been a known fact since around the end of January. Target, Wal-Mart and K-Mart are the hotspots for Mattel figures.

Nothing but Mickies and Jerichos here as well. It sucks real bad. So far I've found Basic 6 at Wal-Mart (not Kelly), haven't found Basic 5 yet, picked up Basic 4 at K-Mart, and TRU is still stuck on Basic 3. It makes no sense.

my tru had only basic 3 for like 2 or 3 months or something but in august they started getting alot of the new stuff
i've only went to toysrus for the last week or two
