Sunday 21st January 2001 - New Orleans, LA Live on MTVThe host for this show was Drew Carey, and the comedian was talking about how forward he was looking to the Royal Rumble pay-per-view in an hour's time. During the show he introduced us to the superstar at WWF New York, former WWF Intercontinental, European and Tag Team Champion, Davey Boy Smith, who gave us an insight of what it's like to be in the Royal Rumble: of course British Bulldog being runner up in the infamous 1995 Rumble match. Carey hyped the Rumble card of: - The 30-man Royal Rumble match where the winner will face the WWF Champion at WrestleMania XVII.- Kurt Angle vs The Rock for the WWF Championship.- Chris Benoit vs Chris Jericho for the WWF Intercontinental Championship.- Edge and Christian vs The Dudley Boyz in a Tag Team Tables match for the WWF Tag Team Championships.- Ivory vs Chyna for the WWF Womens Championship; Right to Censor banned from ringside.William Regal def. Crash Holly (w/Molly Holly) to retain the WWF European Championship A rematch from Rebellion 2000 last month, as Crash Holly upset the WWF Commissioner to win the WWF European Championship at the United Kingdom event last month, just for William Regal to regain the title just two nights afterwards on RAW is WAR. Regal fought vigorously, with a fair bit of competition on his back, Tazz, Test and Billy Gunn all seemingly targeting the Brit lately. Crash tried the tornado DDT but Regal nailed the Regal Cutter for the win. William Regal celebrated his win, still scheduled to be in the Royal Rumble match later on tonight. Tazz, Test and Billy Gunn were shown watching on different monitors, the Royal Rumble is up next! Sunday Night Heat goes off the air.

A good way to open the show and I like how you had Kurt accept the relationship with Trish to appease Stephanie. The Rock vs. Benoit is a good match to have on Smackdown, as well. Great opening contest and I liked seeing Malenko make Lita tap out since the angle is centered around them. Basic booking between the Dudley Boys and the tag team champions. That continues their problems effectively. Another good segment with Angle and McMahon as I really like you mentioning Angle’s home life being affected by the ruse. Rather surprised the battle royal was the first hour main event, seemed like a suitable main event, though that could have been a lame way to end the show. I don’t believe Stratus was any good in the ring, and was still just a manager so I don’t know if she were to be able to compete well. Still, a fine segment there. Interesting match between Gunn and Tazz. European Championship sure has some importance with all the competition for it. Awesome to see Chris Benoit defeat the Rock and having Angle there to taunt Rock. A fine, huge brawl to close out the show to end the final “important” show heading into the Royal Rumble.

Sunday 21st January 2001 - New Orleans, LALive on Pay-Per-View The disclaimer aired, followed by the WWF signature. This proceeded with a video package showing the importance of the Royal Rumble match, and how the winner will be going to face the WWF Champion for the title at WrestleMania XVII. It then turned to also revolve around the rivalry between Kurt Angle and The Rock, all of which will be concluded tonight! The opening graphic introduced us to the pay-per-view, and we go to the live New Orleans Arena in Louisiana for the fourteenth annual Royal Rumble event! Jim Ross and Jerry "King" Lawler introduce us to the event and hype up the event, most particularly the Royal Rumble match and the WWF Championship match between Kurt Angle and The Rock! 1) WWF Tag Team Championships | Tables Match Edge and Christian (c) vs The Dudley BoyzThis was it for the Dudley Boyz, to try and make some noise and become the WWF Tag Team Champions once again. After previous efforts by the half-brothers wearing camouflage, it was time to finalise this mission and finally put the overconfident WWF Tag Team Champions through tables, one year following the inaugural tables match in New York. Fought under elimination rules, the Tag champs tried to play it sly, entering the ring with steel chairs but the Dudley Boyz managed to fight them away and make Edge and Christian evacuate the ring with chairshots to the skull and the spine. Christian and D-Von traded blows at ringside whilst Edge and Bubba Ray took the ring, Edge managing to avoid a big back body drop and turn it into a tornado DDT. Edge pounded on Bubba and attempted to keep on top of the challenger before D-Von entered and nailed Edge with the Saving Grace. D-Von and Bubba double-teamed Edge with a flapjack until Christian got back in the ring, all four men brawling throughout the ring. D-Von ended up being tossed onto the apron, and Christian traded blows with him, when Edge ran off the ropes and delivered a Spear to D-Von! D-Von fell through a table, and D-Von Dudley was eliminated! Bubba immediately tried to make things even by fighting off Edge and going for a table, then setting Christian up for a powerbomb when Edge delivered another chairshot to the spine! Christian grabbed a chair and the Conchairto connected! Bubba was then double suplexed and Christian went to set up a table, Bubba managing to tip the table over and slam Christian's head into it! Edge tried a Spear to Bubba but got his partner instead! Bubba nailed the Bubba Bomb and the action continued! Bubba grabbed a table as Christian recovered, trying to throw the chair at Bubba when he missed, the Dudley Boy dodged it and delivered a powerbomb to Christian through the table! Christian now eliminated! Bubba was met with a suicide dive from Edge and it was now down to two men, Edge setting up a table against the barricade when Bubba clotheslined Edge! Bubba traded blows with Edge when Christian suddenly came from behind with a chair to the back of the skull! Edge and Christian clotheslined Bubba as the official tried to get Christian out of here, when suddenly a recognisable tiny blonde guy dressed in camouflage ran out, trading blows with Christian and delivered an acid drop! Bubba picked Edge up and he body slammed Edge through a tilted table! Winners and NEW WWF Tag Team Champions - The Dudley BoyzBubba Ray Dudley got back to his feet as the crowd cheered, Bubba hugging the new Dudley Boy as D-Von Dudley appeared, returning to the ring and celebrating with the WWF Tag Team Championships! Christian and Edge remained down as we have crowned new champs, the Dudley Boyz champions for the second time. In the backstage area we see The Undertaker pull up outside the arena, the 'American Badass' having secured the number thirty spot in tonight's Royal Rumble match. He was shortly after jumped by Haku and Rikishi as 'Taker tried to fight both men off, Rikishi and Haku eventually leaving 'Taker lying! In the backstage area we see Mr McMahon sit down on his sofa as Trish Stratus appeared, Vine happy to see her. The two talked about how it's a cold January night in New Orleans, so they should warm up together. Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley then entered, Stratus acting as convincing as possible. Steph glared at her as she asked her why she was here and not with her boyfriend, Kurt Angle. Vince improvises, saying how they were just discussing how Angle needs to concentrate. McMahon-Helmsley insists that Trish join Angle at ringside in his match later. Trish awkwardly nods her head and leaves. Steph gives her father an unsure look. A graphic appeared promoting the upcoming match that is nearly two months in the making between the WWF Womens Champion, Ivory and the 'Ninth Wonder of the World' Chyna. And this all started when the Right to Censor started to disapprove of Chyna taking the part of Playboy cover this Spring. Chyna competed against all members of the RTC, until she was spike piledriven on her head and severely injured her neck thanks to The Goodfather and Bull Buchanan. Ivory mocked Chyna for weeks, Billy Gunn revealing that Chyna would return, and Royal Rumble would be the time! 2) WWF Womens Championship Ivory (c) vs ChynaThe return of the 'Ninth Wonder of the World' Chyna, and it could not have been under better circumstances. The diva to star in this Spring's edition of Playboy Magazine, Chyna looking great and a lot more muscular, the challenger intimidating Ivory whilst the Right to Censor were previously banned from ringside (thanks to Billy Gunn defeating Val on SmackDown! this past week). Chyna grabbed Ivory and tossed her around a few times, the WWF Womens Champion rolling out to ringside to try and catch a breath, Ivory then giving Chyna whiplash from behind and going right after the neck. Ivory stomped on Chyna as the crowd booed, Ivory soon trying to take Chyna for a ride in form of a dangerous DDT! Ivory covered for a near fall, and Chyna kept it up, catching Ivory with a massive gorilla press slam tossing Ivory halfway across the ring! Chyna grabbed Ivory and went for the Pedigree but Ivory shoved Chyna away and the 'Ninth Wonder of the World' was clotheslined to the canvas. Ivory continued as Chyna got back up and tossed Ivory to ringside where she would body slam Ivory right onto the announce table cover! Chyna went to go further, Ivory running from her and Chyna tossed the announce table cover at her, the WWF Womens Champion narrowly dodging and running away with her title! Chyna followed her up the aisleway as both women were counted out. Winner - No Contest; Still WWF Womens Champion, IvoryThe crowd booed in dissatisfaction as Ivory evacuated the arena to the backstage area, Chyna then being caught off-guard by Val! Val clotheslined Chyna down before picking her up and launching her into a barricade, Bull Buchanan and The Goodfather appearing as well. Steven Richards stood in approval in the background during this as Chyna tried fighting Val and Buchanan off, Goodfather brutally decapitating Chyna with a big clothesline! Chyna did not get up as Billy Gunn ran out, trading blows with Goodfather whilst Richards told RTC to retreat! Gunn attended to his girlfriend as paramedics came out. In the backstage area we see The Rock as the crowd roared, Jonathan Coachman asking the challenger to the WWF Championship for his opinion on Kurt Angle and his odds tonight. Rock mentioned how he's had some bad luck recently, the fact it took him three efforts to make the pay-per-view match with a scrawny all-talk-and-no-bonanza rat like Kurt Angle, Rock then mocking Angle for his accomplishment as the Olympic Gold Medalist. Rock says that tonight he will walk out as the World Wrestling Federation Champion and when it is all said and done, the 'Brahma Bull' would have taken his horns, shined them up nice and real good, and stuck them straight up the Olympic Gold Medalist's candy ass! We head outside of the New Orleans Arena here in Louisiana as Jim Ross and Jerry "King" Lawler make note of Sunday Night Heat, the WWF European Champion, William Regal successfully defending against Crash Holly. They then took us to WWF New York where former multi-time WWF Intercontinental, Tag Team and of course, inaugural WWF European Champion was, Davey Boy Smith. Smith was asked by JR and King on his experience in the Royal Rumble. Smith talked about how he was so close to winning in 1995, and if he had the chance he would compete in one more to try and be victorious. He also states he wishes he had won the WWF Championship. King asks who he thinks has the match won tonight, British Bulldog saying either Stone Cold Steve Austin or Kane. 3) WWF Intercontinental Championship Chris Benoit (c) vs Chris JerichoThis was another outstanding effort by both men, as these two have had so many hard-hitting and well-technically made matches in the year 2000, and they brought it into the proper 21st century with this one. The 'Rabid Wolverine' was thought to definitely have a trick up his sleeve in the form of The Radicalz after their attacks on the Hardy Boyz and attempted on Y2J this past week on WWF television, but Y2J and Benoit battled it out on the ground, Benoit logically trying to weaken the shoulder, picking a body part and just pounding on it. Benoit applied the cross armbar, the WWF Intercontinenal Champion from Edmonton relentless to try and defeat Chris Jericho once again tonight. Benoit already holds two pay-per-view wins against the challenger tonight, as Y2J was out to break the streak from being 3-0. Jericho managed to use his high-flying sense of capability to make himself untouchable to the champion, but Benoit knew him so well and he just continued to pull on the shoulder of the number one contender. Jericho tried to make the escape on many different occasions as Benoit grew closer to applying the Crossface but Jericho fired out, applying the Walls of Jericho and trying to make Benoit tap out! Benoit would flip it over though, applying the Sharpshooter and bringing some reaction out of the Bret Hart fans in attendance. Jericho broke free and applied the Crossface again, Y2J just wrenching but Benoit broke free and applied the Crossface of his own, which Jericho rolled into the ropes. Jericho and Benoit spilled to ringside where Benoit tossed Jericho into the ring post with his bad shoulder, Benoit diabolically going for the shoulder on Y2J. Jericho tried to make the last moment comeback, throwing two or three chops Benoit's way but Benoit ducked one and the German suplex connected! Benoit bridged it in a pinfall but for a near two count. The 'Rabid Wolverine' continued with a hip toss, applying an armlock, Jericho rolling out and nailing an enziguri right to the jaw! Both men down, they slowly got back up, Benoit and Jericho trading chops before Benoit went for a backbreaker, Y2J flipping backwards and applying the Walls of Jericho, but Benoit flicked him off! Benoit got back up and ran at Jericho, Y2J ducking and he delivered a bulldog, the Lionsault connecting! Jericho covered and that was it! Winner and NEW WWF Intercontinental Champion: Chris JerichoThe crowd roared as Chris Benoit rolled out of the ring, the WWF Intercontinental Championship handed to the new champ, Chris Jericho as we had crowned our second new champion of the night here. Y2J celebrated to the sound of the outrageous crowd whilst Benoit backed away, he'll be back to fight another day. In the backstage area we see Michael Cole standing by with Kane, and the 'Big Red Machine' was quizzed about the situation with his brother, The Undertaker. Kane talked about the complex history they've had, but the fact is that he will have his back on occasion and if gone unprovoked; but tonight, it's time for the 'Big Red Machine' to step up to the plate and win the Rumble. We see William Regal in his office as Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley walked in, the WWF Commissioner asking why she was here. Steph says how as a McMahon she overlooks how Regal is doing, and he's doing a swell job as WWF Commissioner, but she wants to see William do some justice with that WWF European Championship belt. Regal asks her what else she wants, being as he just defended it against Crash Holly on Sunday Night Heat. Steph says that she has another idea. Tomorrow night on RAW is WAR, William Regal will defend the title against Billy Gunn, Tazz and Test! Regal seemed a little annoyed as McMahon-Helmsley grinned and left. A graphic appears, showing the upcoming WWF Championship match between Kurt Angle and The Rock, and this all started back at No Mercy, where the Olympic Gold Medalist won the World Wrestling Federation Championship eleven months into his career, and it opened the ego of Angle up even more, bragging all the time. Rock was never able to get Angle alone for a rematch, but it finally happened a few weeks ago on SmackDown! when the 'Brahma Bull' defeated Chris Jericho and gained contention. And now, we will see if Angle can do this without it being a fluke or not! 4) WWF Championship Kurt Angle (c) vs The RockIt was now the time to put up or shut up for the Olympic Gold Medalist as he took on the man in which he previously won the WWF Championship from just three months ago, despite that being due to interference from Rikishi. Kurt Angle was accompanied by Trish Stratus awkwardly tonight as she stood at ringside, Angle pretty unsure about having the WWF diva at ringside because of distraction purposes. Rock just laid into the Olympic Gold Medalist with lefts and rights, and Rock very well could have regained the WWF Championship in a few seconds, nailing the spinebuster and preparing the People's Elbow just for Angle to roll out of the ring. Stratus tried to act caring but Angle shrugged her off, Rock actually nailing a suicide dive on Angle! Rock got the crowd pumped even more, the 'Great One' so motivated to ensure victory at last tonight. Angle fired back remarkably, the Olympic Gold Medalist with lefts and rights, chopping Rock as well but Rock matched it with his great punches, Angle then catching Rock off guard with a belly-to-belly suplex! Angle dropped a knee on the ankle, and it suddenly became clear as to what the World Wrestling Federation Champion was planning, Angle stomping the ankle and seemingly trying to wrench it enabling easier victory with the eventual Ankle Lock. He would grapevine it and drop some elbows, then stomp it between the ropes; Angle not letting Rock get up at all. Rock soon fired back, Rock trying to run but falling down because of the pressure done to the ankle! Angle tried a piledriver or a powerbomb, but Rock flipped him over! Rock limped over to the corner and climbed the turnbuckle as Angle caught Rock's attempt at a fist drop with a gut shot! Rock flipped over and clutched his ankle, as it seemed as though Rock had re-injured his ankle. Angle continued to work away as Rock tried desperately to fire back with lefts and rights, Angle trying for a Lou Thesz press but Rock delivered a spinebuster and Rock applied the Sharpshooter! Angle wrived in pain but luckily reached the ropes. Angle soon fought back, poking Rocky in the eye before nailing a big German suplex, followed by a second! Angle signalled for the Angle Slam, but Rock landed on his feet, following up with the snap DDT! Rock sprung up, limping and taunting Angle and waiting for him to get up, Rock setting up the Rock Bottom just for Angle to roll out and take Rock off of his feet going for the Ankle Lock, but Rock shrugged him into the ropes! Rock went to whip Angle off the ropes but Angle switched, but Rock switched and he nailed the spinebuster! Rock went to take his elbow pad off for the People's Elbow, and Rock ran the ropes but Trish tripped him! The official and Rock's attention on Trish, Angle came from behind with a low blow, the Angle Slam connecting; Angle leaves the Rumble STILL WWF Champion! Winner and STILL WWF Champion: Kurt AngleKurt Angle rolled out of the ring and wrapped his arms on the WWF Championship, Angle then diving on Trish Stratus with a hug, Stratus feeling uncomfortable. Angle celebrated with Trish, the 'couple' leaving whilst The Rock was left in the ring wounded, quite unsatisfied with how Angle had beaten him! A graphic aired as Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler informed us that the next time the World Wrestling Federation would be live on pay-per-view would be February 25th, 2001 from Las Vegas, Nevada for No Way Out. We see Kurt Angle and Trish Stratus walking up the Gorilla Position in the backstage area as they were met by Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley yet again, McMahon sarcastically congratulating Angle on the victory, but she says she has a big surprise for him tomorrow night. Angle and Trish leave as Steph yells 'sl*t' to Trish behind her back. A video package nearly identical to the opening show package aired promoting the 30-man Royal Rumble, listing all of the previous winners and promoting how the winner of the Royal Rumble match will go on to face the WWF Champion for the title at WrestleMania XVII, it's up next! Howard Finkel was in the ring, explaining the rules of the Royal Rumble; thirty men, two men starting and every two minutes a new man entering. Elimination occuring by going over the top rope and both feet touching the floor. The winner will be determined when they are the last man standing with no superstars left to enter. 5) The 2001 Royal Rumble MatchRaven had the courtesy of drawing the #1 entry, the WWF Hardcore Champion matching it up with Jeff Hardy, Hardy catching the WWF Hardcore Champion off guard in the opening moments of the match. The Goodfather drew #3, as the first member of the Right to Censor had entered the battlefield, teaming up with Raven to trade blows with Jeff and wear the energic Hardy down. Billy Gunn arrived at #4, and he went right for the RTC member, especially after earlier tonight. The Goodfather was eliminated by Gunn soon after. Scotty 2 Hotty drew #5, and he came out and took down a little of everybody, then felt appropriate to start the dance when pyrotechnics went off, and Kane was revealed as #6! The 'Big Red Machine' easily rid the ring of Scotty 2 Hotty as well as Billy Gunn! Kane looked scary as he fired away at Jeff, Hardy trying to run and nail some aerial attacks to confuse the monster. Raven then came from behind, a singapore cane to Kane and a trash can as well. Albert entered at #7, and he went at it with Kane, both of the big men trading fists as Jeff Hardy nailed the Twist of Fate on Raven. Tazz came in at #8, a referee with him, and he ran right in there and applied the Tazzmission on Raven! Raven tapped and the official sounded the bell, we apparently have a new WWF Hardcore Champion! Tazz then turned around to get assaulted by Albert. Eddie Guerrero showed up at #9, 'Latino Heat' came in and slyly aided Kane in tipping Jeff Hardy over the top rope! Al Snow was #10, and he came to the ring, pulling up the ring apron and taking out a fire extinguisher! He stunned Kane with it before nailed Tazz right in the head, covering and a referee counted three! Another new WWF Hardcore Champion! Kane then grabbed Al by the throat and tossed him over the top rope. Kane continued, picking the carcuss of Tazz up and tossing it over the top rope. Test came in at #11, and he immediately got into a hussle with Albert, as well as Kane. Matt Hardy was #12, Hardy taking Al Snow out as he was leaving, and covering him to win the WWF Hardcore Championship! A third title change in this match! X-Pac returned as the #13 entrant, X-Pac going in and joining in with Albert at attacking Matt Hardy when Kane caught Raven with the gorilla press, Raven going overboard! Stone Cold Steve Austin broke the curtain at #14, the 'Texas Rattlesnake' pounding on Eddie Guerrero before tossing Test/i] over the top rope! Austin was then big booted by Kane. William Regal popped up at #15, the WWF Commissioner on his way to the ring in no hurry. He ended up meeting one of three opponents for tomorrow, Test as he tossed the WWF European Champion into the ring, and Austin stomped a mudhole into the Commissioner! Faarooq was #16, and he came in for a brawl with Albert. Val would conveniently be #17, fulfilling Faarooq's interest and Val tried to escape his wrath. Grandmaster Sexay arrived at #18, easily attacked by X-Pac. Kane soon rebounded, clotheslining Albert and chokeslamming X-Pac from the ring! Bradshaw was #19, the APA complete and double-teaming the WWF European Champion, Regal! Austin cleared the ring of Eddie Guerrero before re-engaging in the battle with Kane. Bradshaw spotted Matt Hardy, and delivered a Clothesline From Hell! Bradshaw covered and we have Bradshaw as new WWF Hardcore Champion!
#20 was Crash Holly, as the man who failed to win the WWF European Championship earlier went right at it with the Commissioner! Kane swept Matt Hardy out of the ring as the match continued. Bull Buchanan came in at #21, reinforcement for Val as the RTC and the APA went right at it, Bradshaw and Faarooq not taking no for an answer. Stone Cold Steve Austin traded blows with William Regal, very close to tossing him out. Rikishi was #22, cool and calm walking to the ring in no hurry. The 'Bad Man' was met unceremoniously by Stone Cold, as Austin pounded right into Rikishi! Rikishi answered with a heavy headbutt, both men going for it. Kane eventually joined in, fighting Rikishi off for attacking The Undertaker! Bull Buchanan got tossed out by Faarooq, and Val was soon following, the APA taking out Val. K-Kwik was #23, and K-Kwik came out, a stop sign to the head of Bradshaw, seemingly a target to the WWF Hardcore Championship. Faarooq disallowed though, tossing K-Kwik out rather swiftly. Big Show's pyro set off at #24 as the arena was in uproar! Show made his return as he came to the ring trading blows with Kane and Stone Cold Steve Austin, Show then giving a Chokeslam to Rikishi! How impressive. Big Show big booted Faarooq out before easily hurling Grandmaster Sexay, then getting into a brawl with the 'Big Red Machine'. Crash Holly was tipped by William Regal quietly, and he ran right into a Clothesline From Hell! Steve Blackman hit the ring at #25, the 'Lethal Weapon' fitting in well and trading blows with Rikishi before delivering a Martial Arts Kick to Steve Austin. Hardcore Holly hit the ring at #26, the Holly Cousin rumbling with Rikishi before going after the current WWF Hardcore Championship holder, Bradshaw. The Honky Tonk Man was amusingly #27, and he played all the way to the ring, the crowd booing, appauled. Honky was annihilated, as Kane delivered a Chokeslam and slammed the guitar over his skull! The Honky Tonk Man was thrown in no time. Kane tossed Bradshaw over the top, and Stone Cold Steve Austin dived right back at him! Kane had endured forty-five minutes by now.
Triple H returned at #28, the 'Game' returned! Triple H hit the ring and immediately Stone Cold Steve Austin dived at him! These two rivals went right at it, both men despising each other so much! They brawled to ringside as Big Show and Kane engaged in a choke war. Essa Rios appeared as #29, an awkward time as Essa mixed it up with Steve Blackman, Hardcore Holly double-teaming Essa with Blackman before Hardcore dunked Steve Blackman! Essa then slyly dropkicked Hardcore Holly out, Rios then continuing in a back and forth exchange with William Regal. The Undertaker had everybody cheering but nobody answered the first two times his music played, the 'American Badass' appearing the third time as Undertaker had previously been assaulted by Haku and Rikishi. Undertaker was met with Haku on the aisleway but Undertaker tossed him into the lighting rig! 'Taker limped to the ring as he went right for Rikishi, both men trading blows as Kane helped 'Taker! The Brothers of Destruction perhaps a union again tonight, they gave Rikishi a double Chokeslam! William Regal then snuck in, low blow to Kane, but Undertaker gave him the Last Ride! As Stone Cold Steve Austin and Triple H had brawled around ringside, they had torn up the announce table, as Triple H had Austin set up for the Pedigree through it, but Austin backdropped him and Triple H went through the Spanish announce table! Austin re-entered the battle as he tossed out Essa Rios before trading blows with Big Show! Show soon delivered the Showstopper to Austin, but Undertaker came at Show! William Regal grabbed his brass knuckles and went for Austin, but The Undertaker would toss William Regal all the way out of the ring!
Rikishi soon tried the Banzai Drop on Stone Cold, but Kane low blowed him! Kane and The Undertaker both tried to pick the 'Bad Man' up, managing but Big Show joined in, and they got Rikishi out, but also Big Show! The crowd cheered at the show by the Brothers of Destruction, but Show was fuming! Kane and Undertaker went to turn their attention to Stone Cold, as Austin was bleeding from the mouth after the brawl with Triple H, Kane trying the Chokeslam but Austin shoved him away, the Stunner connecting! 'Taker then grabbed Austin and went for the Chokeslam but Austin escaped and clotheslined 'Taker down. Big Show then arrived, delivering the Showstopper on Austin and tossing The Undertaker out! Show got boos as Show continued the attack on 'Taker, even after both men being eliminated! Show tossed 'Taker into the steel steps, then slamming his head into them twice! 'Taker was left unconscious, receiving TWO beatings tonight. Austin was left trying to scoot Kane out of the ring, but Kane was too heavy to lift, Kane then firing back and delivering some uppercuts to Austin, but Austin clotheslined Kane! Kane budged a little, but Kane delivered the big boot to Austin! Kane then turned around to get the sledgehammer from Triple H, and Kane fell into the ropes! Triple H clotheslined Kane and the 'Big Red Monster's fifty-five minutes in the sun was gone! Triple H swung for Stone Cold but Austin tossed him to the apron, but Triple H ducked Austin actually swinging for Hunter with the sledgehammer, Triple H back in there and a spinebuster to Austin right into the corner. Triple H tried to lift him but Austin fired back, Austin attempting the Stunner but Triple H turned it into a Pedigree attempt, Austin tried backdropping Hunter but Triple H landed on the apron, Austin tried running at 'The Game' but Triple H lowered the ropes and Austin went over!
The crowd booed as Triple H celebrated his victory, the crowd in disapproval as Stone Cold Steve Austin knelt at ringside, utterly shocked. The crowd were really disliking this as 'The Game' mocked the 'Texas Rattlesnake', and Triple H was going to WrestleMania X-Seven to face the WWF Champion! Officials held Austin back as he was furious, storming around ringside. Triple H stood tall, Royal Rumble going off the air!

OK
Tag Title match was a good way to start the show. Some nice standard spots with the eliminations. I hate Spike Dudley but his interference costing E&C was good. Dudley's winning is interesting and it will be interesting to see where you head from here with the tag division.
Undertaker being attacked by Rikishi and Haku was fine and set up rumble conflict between the 2. Chyna/Ivory was fine for what it was, I expect the rivalry will continue on due to the finish. Rock promo was good.
IC Title match was another well written match, liked that it ended via moonsault and not a submission hold. Liked the WWF Title, glad Angle retained as I loved weasel Angle , though I wish it wasn't full blown cheating.
Rumble match was really well written, liked the hardcore title changes, a really creative spot, so well done there. Liked the order of entry as the big stars were evenly distributed. It came down to the right people at the end and I imagine we'll see Show feud with The Undertaker which could be alright. I didn't really like that it was such a hardcore rumble with lots of weapons and outside interference. Triple H winning was surprising as I didn't think a heel would win it and it leaves the door open for the road, I imagine we'll probably see Austin beat Angle for the title at no way out and we'll see Austin/Triple H as I doubt your going the heel vs heel route or are turning one of Triple H or Angle as they were too good of heels.
Overall though good show and it leaves the door open for an interesting road to wrestlemania.

Not a fan of two tables between the Dudley’s and Edge/Christian in a matter of three weeks. The first one shouldn’t have happened, or could have at least added someone to both teams to mix it up. Also, was hoping for Edge and Christian to retain the titles. Oh well, it was a fine tables match. Surprised to see Jericho/Benoit competed in a regular match, considering how great their ladder match was. Obviously it was a good match and a win by Jericho is fine. Hope to see Benoit involved in the main scene after Wrestle Mania. Not surprised to see Kurt Angle retain over the Rock. Another good match, wonder if Angle will hold the strap heading into Wrestle Mania. I liked the hardcore championship stuff in the Rumble, as it makes a lot of sense. With HHH winning, I kind of think perhaps Angle will retain going into WM X-7 since their has been a lot of stuff going on between them. Plus, Angle is currently feuding with the McMahon’s so it would make sense. Though, it would be a heel vs. heel main event, so maybe not I don’t know! Solid Royal Rumble, Dan!

-I liked the hype this match had. The Dudley Boyz winning here was the right call since they've mastered this match. -Ivory retaining in a No Contest was the only way I could see it. -Jericho winning here was the right call, glad his push keeps going. -Angle over Rock was the right call as Angle deserves a good push. -HHH winning the Rumble is good, but a bit shocking, especially since HHH and Angle are heels, I see one of them turning face. -Good show; looking forward to your hype towards WM17.

I was going to say that I'd rather you have opened with the Intercontinental Title match, but the tag team division kicked ass around this time. I'm fine with the Dudleys winning their trademark match, wonder if you'll go with TLC II at WrestleMania X-Seven. Didn't Haku debut at this Rumble? Unless you brought him in before the Rumble and I missed it. The Trish segment was very realistic. I can see Chyna winning the Women's Title at WrestleMania especially with this non-finish. The post match brawl was fine as well. As expected, Jericho/Benoit was awesome. Loved the counters each man used and glad Jericho captured the gold. Feel like you could've used some of those tumbler segments I love at Rumbles. Love that Angle retained, I would like to see him go into WrestleMania as WWF Champion, but I can see it being Austin/Rock/Triple H somehow. The Rumble was a killer read to be honest. You should've had the eliminations in bold at least as it would've made it easier and nicer looking. Enjoyed the Hardcore Title changes throughout. Loved that Kane was still a force to be reckoned with but appreciated the swerve ending with Triple H winning. I hope Kane doesn't disappear after this though, would like to see him in a high profile WrestleMania match. Overall, I enjoyed this show and am glad you brought this back. Hope you make it to WrestleMania as I feel this can possibly be great.

Not surprised to see the Dudleyz go over Edge and Christian since the Tables Match is their specialty. Only problem is that you had them face off in a Tables Match on an episode of Raw a few weeks back. Ivory running away from Chyna was realistic, now I can see Chyna winning the title on Raw or the next PPV. I like the inclusion of segments from WWF New York, that's a great touch. Jericho winning the Intercontinental Championship is great, and I kind of expected as I have a feeling you'll be having Benoit be a contender for the WWF Championship due to the way you have been pushing him as of late. Kurt retaining over The Rock is fine, didn't expect The Rock to win. The Rumble was a long-ass read, so I pretty much just skimmed over it. I like the Hardcore Championship changing hands during the match and Triple H winning it was a good call.

Monday 22nd January 2001 - Lafayette, LA Live on TNNWe kick off RAW is WAR with a replay from last night's Royal Rumble on pay-per-view, as it was the Royal Rumble match and Triple H made his unexpected return, continuing with a vicious brawl with the 'Texas Rattlesnake' Stone Cold Steve Austin. Both men traded blows around ringside, Austin sent Triple H through an announce table, but after Austin had eliminated Kane, Triple H took advantage and stole the win, winning the 2001 Royal Rumble. The opening video package for RAW aired, and we go to the live CajunDome, pyrotechnics going off and Jim Ross and Jerry "King" Lawler introduce us to the show, reminding us of the events at the 2001 Royal Rumble event last night, and the return of X-Pac, Big Show and Honky Tonk Man to the ring. The theme of 'The Game' hit, and the winner of the Royal Rumble last night began to make his way out to the ring, the crowd booing furiously as Triple H was accompanied by his wife, Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley. The couple reunited, Triple H and Stephanie made their way to the ring, Triple H talking among the 'bunghole' chants about how last night it was time for the 'Game' to be won, and after a month of being away from the ring because of the 'Texas Rattlesnake', it felt fantastic to get back at him. However, it's obviously not all about avenging his previous injuries thanks to the 'Bionic Redneck'. Triple H talked about how with his win at the Royal Rumble, he is now guaranteed more superstardom at the grandest stage of them all, WrestleMania. And whether it's Kurt Angle, or some other moron, he is looking forward to beating their ass and taking the World Wrestling Federation Championship home with him. Triple H handed the microphone to his wife, Stephanie, and she began to talk about how Kurt Angle slyly avoided losing the WWF Championship last night at the Royal Rumble, and he really needs to live up and learn to the expectations of being a REAL champion. That trollop Trish Stratus will not save his ass for long, because as far as she's concerned, The Rock was SCREWED last night, and tonight Kurt Angle and Trish Stratus will both be punished for their actions. The theme of Mr McMahon then hit as the crowd booed, the Chairman of the World Wrestling Federation arriving and asking Stephanie about what she thinks she is doing. He says he appreciates her creative output, but he is the man in sole charge of the company, he is her father after all. McMahon talks about how he's happy to see Triple H back, and he's glad to see that 'The Game' won the Royal Rumble match, fair and square may he add. But he has other ideas for tonight, and that involves the potential WrestleMania opponents, Kurt Angle and Triple H teaming up to take on the runner up in the Royal Rumble match last night, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and the man who was supposedly 'screwed' out of the WWF Championship last night, The Rock! The crowd roared, as Vince says he will handle Trish Stratus himself, Triple H yelling about how Vince says he'll handle Trish, he has with his own dirty mits! Vince looks outraged, and McMahon says that Angle will be outraged to hear that. Hunter laughs, saying that that is probably a good thing. Vince leaves as Steph speaks with Triple H about whether that was wise or not. In the parking lot we see The Undertaker and Kane standing by, talking about how Big Show returned last night and made a big deal out of being eliminated by him. 'Taker wishes Kane luck against Show, warning him of how much of a fatass he can be, the 'American Badass' content on his match with Haku. > > > Commercial Break < < < 1) Test def. William Regal, Tazz and Billy Gunn to win the WWF European Championship Not quite what the WWF Commissioner was planning on, as this match was signed by Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley last night at the Royal Rumble, with Regal having such competition as Test, Tazz and Billy Gunn in recent weeks. Tazz tossed Gunn around with suplexes as Regal tried keeping out of it, Test getting involved and full well dominating Gunn and Tazz. Regal tried to remain outside of the ring, and it worked fine until Gunn came at him with a suicide dive. Regal was entered into the match, and whilst Tazz surprised Gunn with the Tazzmission, Test took Regal's head off with the Big Boot to win the belt! Test celebrated his win as Tazz looked angry, Test standing over William Regal, the WWF European Championship now in Test's hands! In the backstage area we see X-Pac and Albert standing around watching Test on the monitor, and X-Pac was talking to Albert about how that should be him and not Test, insulting Test to his former partner Albert! In the backstage area we see Jonathan Coachman standing by with Big Show, and the 'Coach' asked the big man on what it was like to return to the World Wrestling Federation last night. Big Show talked about how he was having a good time in the Royal Rumble match, he was well on the way to victory and there's no lie about it. But The Undertaker had to prove how dominant he was trying to be. The 'American Badass' was showing off to everybody, when really he is as mortal as everybody else. He reminds Coach of how 'Taker ran when he wasn't happy with the way things were going when he was WWF Tag Team Champions with 'Taker in late 1999. Undertaker left, and Show was left alone. Now it's time for Show to get it all back. > > > Commercial Break < < < Jeff and Matt Hardy were shown talking about the Royal Rumble match, and how they seemed to have some decent momentum running solo, Jeff then begging to ask if they were possibly better off as singles wrestlers. Matt says that that's an interesting concept, but tonight they've got The Goodfather and Bull Buchanan. 2) The Radicalz (Perry Saturn, Eddie Guerrero and Dean Malenko) (w/Terri) def. Too Cool and Al Snow Eddie Guerrero returned to the ring last night after working off some minor injuries which sidelined him over Christmas. Perry Saturn and Dean Malenko worked over Scotty 2 Hotty and kept him away from his teammates but Al Snow made the hot tag, and he cleared house with Grandmaster Sexay. The Radicalz soon rebanded as Dean Malenko got in a cheap chop block to the weak Scotty, and Eddie Guerrero capitalized, the Frog Splash for the win. The Radicalz celebrated their win as Grandmaster Sexay and Al Snow attended to Scotty 2 Hotty, Eddie Guerrero happy with his work as was Dean Malenko and Perry Saturn. We go to Vince McMahon in his office, as the Chairman was met with the seductive Trish Stratus, Trish talking about how Vince was going to punish him. The Chairman said he would punish her in different ways later, but he has an idea for tonight, involving Trish and the WWF Womens Champion, Ivory. He says that she can choose a partner to team up with to take on Steven Richards and Ivory, Trish then saying that is nice, but then saying how she isn't so pleased with having to team with that nerd, Kurt Angle. Vince asks what is wrong with it, then saying he'd handle it, but it'll have to be sly, Steph will be pissed... We see The Rock with Kevin Kelly as Kelly asks Rock on his thoughts after losing last night at the Royal Rumble. Rock says that it hurts his pride to have lost two birds with one stone. While he lost the WWF Championship match, he could have had the chance to go to WrestleMania X-Seven, not that bunghole Triple H! Rock talks about how he is the man who is standing atop of this company, and that he will demeddle that Kurt Angle of the WWF Championship. He will not let some blonde bimbo get in his way! Rock was then interrupted by Chris Jericho, Y2J approaching him with a smirk, the WWF Intercontinental Championship on his shoulder. Jericho asked Rock if he had a happy Royal Rumble. Rock says he did, Y2J telling him it's misfortunate he had a bitch get in his way. He says that maybe it'd be good if he got some nice retribution. Rock says he isn't taking any advice from this blue collar babyfaced, Chris Jericho, he will handle it himself! > > > Commercial Break < < < The Right to Censor theme was playing as we returned to RAW is WAR, Bull Buchanan and The Goodfather accompanied by Steven Richards, and Richards was talking about how Right to Censor had a nice Royal Rumble, as their WWF Womens Champion Ivory successfully left the Rumble still WWF Womens Champion. But also they handled the Chyna situation very well! They were cut off by the theme of the Hardy Boyz. 3) Bull Buchanan and The Goodfather (w/Steven Richards) def. The Hardy Boyz (w/Lita) The Right to Censor were met with the Hardy Boyz very fiercely as Jeff and Matt ran right for the ring and took it right to Bull Buchanan and The Goodfather. This was all to avenge Chyna, as she was re-incapacitated by the clothesline from Goodfather last night following Chyna's match with Ivory. Jeff went for the high-flying antics as Matt caught Buchanan right off guard, the muscular RTC members confused by the high-flying nature. Matt soon tried the Twist of Fate but Jeff tried going for Goodfather took with a missile dropkick, accidentally getting Jeff, and the bicycle kick from Buchanan gave RTC the win! The crowd booed as Bull Buchanan and The Goodfather left the ring in victory with Steven Richards. Jeff and Matt looked at each other in dissatisfaction, Lita talking to both. We see Triple H in the parking lot, looking for Stone Cold Steve Austin's arrival, and we'll see the 'Texas Rattlesnake' team with The Rock later tonight against Hunter and Kurt Angle! The 'Big Red Machine' was shown on his way down a corridor, and up next we will see Kane go one-on-one with the 500-pound Big Show, in Show's return to RAW is WAR, next! > > > Commercial Break < < < 4) Kane def. Big Show by disqualification This was the return of the 'Showstopper' Big Show to RAW, and he had a hard task, the brother of the 'American Badass', Kane. And Kane had quite the impressive showing in the Royal Rumble match last night, eliminating well over a third of the participants and breaking Stone Cold Steve Austin's 1997 record. Kane was in it to avenge Show's assault on Undertaker though, whilst the 'American Badass' will be in action later tonight against Haku. Show seemed fresh and agile, but so did Kane and Kane prepared for the Chokeslam when Show actually low blowed Kane in front of the official! Big Show clotheslined Kane over the top rope, the big man leaving the ring and delivering a massive Showstopper through the announce table! Show raised his palm as the crowd booed, the 'Big Red Machine' left in the rubble as Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler noted this change in Show. In the backstage area we see Edge and Christian lurking the hallways, as Christian talked about how annoying it is to have their division represented by a trio of camouflage wearing maniacs. Edge says that camo is so out of fashion it's unbelievable, and that they were screwed by mass opposition last night at the Royal Rumble. They comment on the size of newcomer Spike Dudley, then saying they need to get the big W over the APA tonight. The Undertaker was shown backstage powerwalking as he met with Kane, the 'Big Red Machine' holding his back as the 'American Badass' says he cannot believe what bull the Big Show put him through out there. He says that he needs to go and ice that back, and he'll handle Haku and Rikishi himself, no worries. Kane glared at 'Taker, but Undertaker seemed calm still. > > > Commercial Break < < < 5) The Undertaker def. Haku A back and forth match as Rikishi was nowhere to be found for some reason. Haku got in some heavy shots, but the 'American Badass' was not about to allow Haku to beat him or get in a sneak attack much like Big Show had given his brother, Kane moments ago. Undertaker dove right at Haku but Haku went after the knee of 'Taker, the veteran beating down 'Taker and soon preparing some sort of shuffle kick but 'Taker blocked it, and a Chokeslam gave 'Taker the win! The Undertaker celebrated his win, then grabbing a microphone and the 'American Badass' seemed intense, calling Big Show out for a showdown this Thursday night on SmackDown! He says that nobody messes with his brother and gets away with it, as far as the Brothers of Destruction are a union. In the backstage area we see Raven talking to Michael Cole, and Cole asks Raven about his thoughts on losing the WWF Hardcore Championship during the Royal Rumble match. Raven says that he should still have the title belt in his possession, he lost the belt because he was focusing on something else, and he had the Royal Rumble match going his way too! Raven claims he will be going to get that belt back. Triple H was shown back in the parking lot, and he was still waiting for the arrival of Stone Cold Steve Austin when he was suddenly met by Al Snow, and Triple H obnoxiously asked what he wanted. Al said that he was wondering since he has connections to the top of the company if he could actually get some television time for himself. Triple H says that just because he's the son-in-law of Vince McMahon does not mean a thing. He tells Snow to leave. In the background, we see Stone Cold standing, and he jumps Triple H! Austin kneels over Hunter and buries the 'Game' with lefts and rights, Triple H having to shove the 'Texas Rattlesnake' off and run inside the CajunDome! > > > Commercial Break < < < Triple H is shown talking to Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley down a corridor, the 'Game' shaken up from the attack by Stone Cold Steve Austin moments ago. The Dudley Boyz were shown sitting down at ringside, the WWF Tag Team Champions being congratulated on their title win last night by Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler. Bubba Ray and D-Von talk about Edge and Christian's match tonight. 6) Edge and Christian def. The APA (w/Jacqueline) This was a competitive tag team bout, as Edge and Christian were trying to regain momentum after losing the WWF Tag Team Championships to the Dudley Boyz last night at the Royal Rumble. Bradshaw and Faarooq, both members of the Royal Rumble match last night didn't succeed in winning, but Bradshaw came out as WWF Hardcore Champion surprisingly. The APA powerhoused Christian around before Edge managed to get in there, going for the shoulder of Bradshaw. Faarooq soon set up a Dominator on Christian but Edge delivered a Spear to Faarooq, and Christian stole the win! Edge and Christian celebrated their win as Bradshaw entered the ring, but Edge and Christian went for Bradshaw! Bradshaw nailed the Clothesline From Hell on Edge but Christian nailed the Unprettier, covering when Bubba Ray and D-Von dragged Christian out! Spike Dudley appeared, running to the ring and springboard splashing Bradshaw, the official counting three and Spike Dudley has won the WWF Hardcore Championship! He celebrated with his Dudley brothers as they celebrated at ringside to Edge and Christian's despising! Chris Benoit was shown in the backstage area, and he seemed to be on the way to the ring! > > > Commercial Break < < < Ivory was shown in the ring with Val, and the WWF Womens Champion had a microphone, talking about how last night Chyna flunked, because Ivory was simply too good for the 'Ninth Wonder of the World'. Ivory talked about how proud she was for doing that as a Right to Censor enthusiast. Ivory talked about how she was about to do another deed tonight, as she meets Trish Stratus. 7) Ivory (w/Val) vs Trish Stratus for the WWF Womens Championship; goes to a no contest Ivory wanted to censor Trish Stratus again, Stratus being censored and locked in the locker room by the Right to Censor a few weeks ago on RAW as well. Trish got in a few shots as Ivory fired back, about a minute into the title bout the theme of Chris Benoit hit, and the crowd was confused as the former WWF Intercontinental Champion came to the ring and delivered a German suplex to Trish Stratus!? Chris Benoit stood over Trish as Ivory and Val left, the WWF Womens Championship slyly still intact. Benoit grabbed a microphone, talking about how much it takes to get some recognisation. The 'Rabid Wolverine' talks about how he was WWF Intercontinental Champion twenty-four hours ago, but not anymore. Benoit talks about how he wants to grab the attention of those up in the main event scene, because while he still wants Chris Jericho's title, he wants the WWF Championship! The theme of Chris Jericho then interrupted him, as Jericho came out asking Benoit to simply ask for a rematch, rather than just crippling some hot blonde! Y2J asks Benoit if he is gay, the camera panning to Trish being attended by an official. Jericho talks about how he was the better man, and Benoit needs to accept it! Benoit states how he has an idea for Jericho, and he'll unveil it this Thursday on SmackDown! We see Triple H and Kurt Angle walking down different corridors, and then The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin walking down different corridors. The tag team main event is next! > > > Commercial Break < < < 8) Kurt Angle and Triple H (w/Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley) def. Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock An intense main event as the WWF Champion had to team with the winner of the Royal Rumble last night, Triple H. But they had to meet the biggest combination, two of the World Wrestling Federation's top stars, The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin. Austin ploughed through the Olympic Gold Medalist, Austin obviously still having the WWF Championship in mind, and Rock seemed to not trust the 'Texas Rattlesnake' because of it. The 'Game' snuck in some offense, working over Rock and keeping him from Austin. It worked for the main part as Triple H and Angle seemed to maintain a team, but Triple H accidentally let Rock free and Austin got the tag! Austin leveled the 'Game' as Steph panicked, Angle then getting into the ring and trying Austin too! Rock and Austin had some miscommunication as Rock clotheslined Angle but got Austin! Angle tossed Rock out of the ring and nailed the Angle Slam on Austin, but Triple H gave Angle a DDT! Triple H covered and stole the win over Austin! The crowd booed as Triple H celebrated his win, Kurt Angle looked angry! The 'Game' and Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley celebrating at ringside. The WWF Champion had been schooled, and Stone Cold Steve Austin looked peeved! The Rock glared at the 'Texas Rattlesnake' as well, RAW going off the air in the midst of controversy!

-Intense promo to kick off RAW with Triple H. Really enjoying ths HHH/Angle scheme build up. -Test winning the title right out of the blue is good in my opinion. He deserves it. -The Radicalz winning here was the right call. -Big Show attacking Kane was interesting. It can make for a high profile match at WM, say BOD vs. Show and Rikishi or so. -Do I smell as Hardy Boyz split? Their loss after loss could lead to a singles push for them both. -Undertaker over Haku was the right call. I almost forgot, I see a big 6 man tag at WM or something. -Edge and Christian really needed this win after losing the championships last night. -Okay, that was real confusing as to why Benoit did that to Jericho. But I wonder what he has up his sleeve for Thursday. -Angle and HHH over Cold and Rock was a great main event. HHH taking the glory is also good. -Good show.

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE Test with the Euro belt. I might have preferred Tazz here but Test still makes more sense. Hopefully Regal (and Tazz) can move on to bigger and better things. Interesting booking around Big Show/B.O.D. I feel Show could have a memorable bout with Kane at WrestleMania. Just don't throw in Raven or the Hardcore title. I think we'll be seeing a B.O.D/Show, Haku & Rikishi match. I don't see why Benoit attacked Trish. From both a booking perspective and that of a fan, that wouldn't make sense at all. It just doesn't fit with anything Benoit/Jericho related at all. Seems like this was done so Jericho could make a few jokes about Benoit being gay. I liked the main event. Big participants and a great finish. Does nothing for Rock or Austin, but it gets over the inevitable Trips/Angle match. However, I have a feeling we may see a fatal four way for the belt.

Thursday 25th January 2001 - Mobile, AL Taped: Tuesday 23rd January 2001 Shown on UPNWe kick off SmackDown! with a replay from this past Monday night on RAW is WAR, as Triple H made his RAW return, and talked about his plans to make a great moment and win the WWF Championship at WrestleMania X-Seven. Triple H was then booked by Vince McMahon to team with the current WWF Champion, Kurt Angle to take on The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin. The 'Game' before the match though, went lurking for the 'Texas Rattlesnake' in the parking lot, and one distraction from Al Snow and Triple H found himself jumped by Austin! Onto the match, Rock and Austin showed miscommunication, and Triple H blatantly gave Angle a DDT, stealing Angle's pinfall victory over Austin! Everybody mad at everybody when RAW went off the air. The opening SmackDown! video package aired, and we went to the Mobile Civic Center in Mobile, Alabama as Michael Cole and Jerry "King" Lawler were standing by on commentary, running down the card and noting how The Undertaker is scheduled to be meeting Big Show in the ring; plus, Kurt Angle takes on Chris Benoit in non-title action! 1) Edge, Christian and Raven def. The Dudley Boyz Six-man tag team action to kick off SmackDown! tonight, as the WWF Tag Team Champions were teaming up with the new WWF Hardcore Champion and the newest addition to the World Wrestling Federation crew, little Spike Dudley, as this was technically Spike's first match. Spike started off with some steam, Christian caught off guard by the quick antics of the WWF Hardcore Champion. Edge, Christian and Raven grounded Spike but D-Von and Bubba got the hot tag eventually, Bubba Ray and D-Von soon setting up the 3D on Raven but Christian delivered a sly low blow to D-Von whilst the referee was with Edge! Christian nailed D-Von with the WWF Tag title belt before Raven covered for the three! The crowd booed as Christian and Edge rolled out of the ring in victory, Raven celebrated and going after Spike Dudley, but Spike rolled out of the ring. Raven yelled after the WWF Hardcore Champion, but turned around to get the Bubba Bomb from Bubba Ray Dudley! Bubba attended to D-Von as E&C had perhaps regained enough momentum to get back at the WWF Tag Team Championships. We see the limousine of Vince McMahon pull up, as McMahon stepped out, angry at his driver about being late to arrive at the arena tonight. McMahon says that he is over two hours late to the show and it's all on the limo driver's head. McMahon proceeds to fire him before entering the arena. > > > Commercial Break < < < The theme of Mr McMahon hit as the Chairman of the World Wrestling Federation strutted to the ring unsatisfied, McMahon obviously irate with being late to showing up tonight. McMahon got into the ring and spoke about how sorry he was for being tardy to tonight's SmackDown!. He explains the stupid limousine driver, McMahon then talking about how last Monday night he was disgusted to see the man-on-woman display when Chris Benoit inexplicably took out his...Kurt Angle's girlfriend, Trish Stratus. In what was meant to be her punishment, the 'Rabid Wolverne' took it too far. McMahon says how Benoit will go up with the WWF Champion, Kurt Angle tonight, but it will be on non-title rules for what he did. He states it is Angle's chance to stand up for Trish, and he hopes he takes Benoit's head off for what he did. McMahon was soon cut off by the theme of Chris Jericho, as the crowd cheers, the WWF Intercontinental Champion then arriving and asking Vince where his opportunity is, being he's handed Benoit another opportunity to better his weak World Wrestling Federation Champion. McMahon asks Jericho what he's insinuating as Y2J talks about how he would love an opportunity of his own. McMahon went on to tell Jericho that this is his great chance to do so, because it just so happens that Triple H has no opponent as of yet! Jericho smirks as McMahon says how he feels it will be a good moment for Jericho, because Triple H is not the same Triple H he fought last July. In fact, he's more brutal and violent. McMahon explains that if he loses tonight, he will be disallowed of a WWF Championship opportunity at ANY point in the future. Y2J says that this is fine, as we have our main event! In the backstage area we see Triple H nodding his head and wrapping up his wrist tape, a knock on the door and the 'Game' being interrupted by Kurt Angle. The WWF Champion asked Hunter what last Monday was about, asking how appropriate that DDT was. Triple H says that he felt it was a little hint for Angle, the Olympic Gold Medalist needs to be ready for their showdown in two months, after all. Angle smirks, saying he knows what Triple H is doing...and it's working. Angle leaves, suspiciously watching Hunter's grin. > > > Commercial Break < < < 2) Test def. X-Pac to retain the WWF European Championship This was the first defense of the WWF European Championship by Test, as he won the title this past Monday night on RAW is WAR in a fatal four-way match. X-Pac got in a few kicks, showing no sign of ring rust after returning to the ring this past Sunday during the Royal Rumble match. He did a nice job of cutting down the much larger Test, going for the ankle of the former Motley Crúe bodyguard, X-Pac nailing the Bronco Buster and soon preparing the X-Factor but Test easily overpowered him and tossed X-Pac around, then nailing the Big Boot on the challenger for the win! Test celebrated his win before Albert came from behind, pounding on his former partner, clubbing on the back of his neck and delivering the Torture Rack Slam on Test! Albert helped X-Pac up, there seemingly being an alliance between these two, and they both seemed to be after the WWF European Champion! We cut to the Commissioner's office, as William Regal was grinning at what had transpired with Test, the man who had taken the WWF European Championship from him on RAW. Regal was interrupted by Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley as Steph said how her father's restricted her power over the company, and it turns out only him and Regal are able to solidify matches. She says how she wants a match with Trish Stratus, no interference, no bull. Regal says that he would love to do that, but Trish Stratus is not scheduled to be in the building tonight. Steph says how she wants something to happen to take that trollop out of the World Wrestling Federation as Regal agrees. He says she'll just have to wait until she's healed. Steph is disappointed, leaving. The Undertaker was shown with Kane as the 'American Badass' and the 'Big Red Machine' were talking about how tonight the Undertaker will handle the situation with Big Show. Kane shook his head as 'Taker walked away, having to feel bad after being taken out this past Monday and then being stood up for by his brother. > > > Commercial Break < < < The crowd cheered as we saw The Rock arrive at the Civic Center, and Jonathan Coachman caught up with the 'Brahma Bull', Rock being asked about his thoughts on being thwarted by Kurt Angle this past Monday on RAW. Rock asks Coach what he means by thwarted, as he hasn't heard of this term since 1950! Rock states how he hasn't been cleared a match as of yet, but he will be here to spectate on Kurt Angle taking on Chris Benoit. Coach asks Rock on his relationship with Stone Cold Steve Austin, but Rock says that it doesn't matter about Stone Cold! Rock mentions how he's still after the WWF Championship, because he will have the title back, and he will 'thwart' the Olympic Gold Medalist nerd! Ivory was shown in the ring, as the WWF Womens Champion stood with Steven Richards and spoke about how it seems as though she is such a violent champion as of late! Chyna has gone out with injury, as has Trish Stratus, both of which she fought for the WWF Womens Championship in the succession of twenty-four hours! Steven Richards talks about how she is the champion to beat, and she will prove it again tonight against Molly Holly! 3) Molly Holly (w/Crash Holly) def. Ivory (w/Steven Richards) in a non-title match Molly Holly had her opportunity at Ivory tonight as Crash Holly came out with Molly to ensure that Steven Richards would not try to screw Molly out of facing Ivory for the WWF Womens Championship down the line, perhaps. Molly caught Ivory off-guard with her unorthodox in-ring style, and Molly showed off her aerial-attacks, almost stealing the win with a northern lights suplex but Ivory got the rope break. Steven Richards tried grabbing Molly's feet as she came off the ropes, but Crash clocked Steven! Ivory tried a Poison Ivory but Molly turned it into a victory roll, securing the win! Molly Holly celebrated her win on the rampway with cousin Crash, whilst Ivory looked angry in the ring! Steven Richards remained down, and he was not happy with Crash Holly knocking him over at all! We see the Hardy Boyz in the locker room talking, as Jeff was talking to Matt about the miscommunication on RAW. Jeff asks Matt what the deal to that was, as Matt says he was simply caught off guard, apologising again for aiding the loss of Team Xtreme to the Right to Censor. Jeff spoke about how they have another opportunity to defeat the Right to Censor again tonight. > > > Commercial Break < < < 4) Kurt Angle def. Chris Benoit in a non-title match Kurt Angle had to avenge the injury of his 'girlfriend', Trish Stratus as Chris Benoit previously attacked Trish Stratus to 'get himself known' in the World Wrestling Federation (though this was then sidetracked by Chris Jericho insulting Benoit following the attack). Angle was all over Benoit, the WWF Champion with the mat-based submissions but the 'Rabid Wolverine' chopped the hell out of Angle and really proved himself as a potential WWF Champion in the future. Angle worked the ankle of Benoit, but Benoit worked the shoulder of Angle, perfect psychology on both men, but Angle soon found himself stuck in the Crossface! Benoit was actually cheered in this, but Chris Jericho ran down to the ring and got on the apron! The official distracted, Benoit swung and missed Y2J, Angle then delivering the Angle Slam and stole the victory! Kurt Angle celebrated his win over Chris Benoit as the crowd booed, the WWF Champion happy to have 'avenged' his 'girlfriend' and defeated the 'Rabid Wolverine' tonight. Benoit looked angry with Chris Jericho, as Y2J was still on Benoit's back! We see The Undertaker in the backstage corridor, pumping his fists whilst Big Show was shown heading to the ring, and these two meet, next! An advertisement aired, promoting the next WWF pay-per-view, No Way Out. Live on Sunday 25th February 2001 from Las Vegas, Nevada. 5) Big Show vs The Undertaker; never started The Undertaker and the Big Show were quite anticipated to meeting tonight, as the 'American Badass' came out on his motorcycle, when he was suddenly blind-sighted by the Big Show! Show hammered on the back of 'Taker's skull as the crowd booed, Undertaker's motorcycle tipping over. Show and 'Taker traded blows as the 'American Badass' almost found himself thrown off of the rampway, but Show nailed the Showstopper on Undertaker RIGHT on the rampway! Show followed up, as he shoved the motorcycle of the big dog off the stage! The multi-digit bicycle was demolished as Show stood over Undertaker. > > > Commercial Break < < < In the backstage area we see the Dudley Boyz as the WWF Tag Team Champions were discussing the contention in the World Wrestling Federation. Bubba Ray and D-Von warned Spike with his WWF Hardcore Championship, saying how he'd have to be dedicated. Spike thanked them for bringing him into the company, as William Regal soon ran into them, talking about how Edge and Christian had previously came up to him and revealed interest in banking their rematch clause for this Monday night on RAW is WAR. The crowd cheered as they left the scene. A replay from moments ago aired, how Big Show had taken out The Undertaker and demolished his expensive motorcycle. Kevin Kelly was standing by with Show as Show talked about how The Undertaker has been the 'top dog' in the World Wrestling Federation for too long. It's time somebody knocked him down a level. Kane then appeared, trading blows with Show! The two big monsters had to be broken up by officials as the 'Big Red Machine' had unfinished business with Show after RAW is WAR! 6) Bull Buchanan and The Goodfather (w/Val) def. The Hardy Boyz (w/Lita) This was a rematch from RAW is WAR, this past Monday as the Right to Censor had defeated the Hardy Boyz after some miscommunication. Buchanan and Goodfather double-teamed Matt and kept him away from Jeff as Lita had the crowd cheering. Val was at ringside, and as annoying as ever, repeatedly trying to get involved and distract Jeff, and also following Lita. Matt soon fired back, but Jeff never managed to get the tag, as Goodfather and Buchanan nailed a spike piledriver on Matt for the win. Jeff looked unhappy. The crowd booed as the Right to Censor had the match won, Jeff Hardy entering the ring and unsatisfied attending to Matt. Lita attended to Matt as he seemed pretty out of it after the big spike piledriver. The Hardy Boyz seemed to be having more problems. In the backstage corridor, we see Eddie Guerrero with Dean Malenko, Terri and Perry Saturn as the Radicalz were talking about Chris Benoit's sudden rise to glory. Eddie spoke about how it seemed like he was becoming better than them. Malenko says that surely can't be the case, he's known the 'Rabid Wolverine' all too long. Saturn seems unsure, and the faction is then interrupted by the APA, as Bradshaw and Faarooq invite the Radicalz to a little six-man tag team action on Sunday Night Heat. They seemed startled, Eddie joking, saying they won't be able to find a partner anyway. > > > Commercial Break < < < We go to Jim Ross in an interview conducted at Stanford, Connecticut earlier this week, as J.R. was seated with Chyna, Jim asking Chyna on her condition after last Sunday at the Royal Rumble. Chyna states she suffered from whiplash thanks to The Goodfather's clothesline, and found herself gasping for her. J.R. asks Chyna what this could mean for the 'Ninth Wonder of the World'. She says that Ivory has drawn the line, she had her beat at the Royal Rumble. But she couldn't handle this situation. Unfortunately at this moment, there is no telling on whether she will be able to come back or not. J.R. asks Chyna if she has any words for Ivory, and Chyna says that if she is ever healed 100%, or even if she is forced to retire, she will get her hands on Ivory, and it will not be pretty. The Right to Censor will pay in some shape or form, she'll make sure of it. We see Vince McMahon in the backstage area on the phone, McMahon talking to Trish Stratus and it seemed like she was getting well. Vince started talking intimately, saying he could be her doctor. Vince was suddenly cut off by a knock on the door, and he hung up on Trish as Al Snow came in, Al asking about any new ideas he could have for him, because he is really begging for air time right now. Vince says he doesn't know what Al wants, but he seriously cut into his private time. Al is dejected, unhappy and leaves. McMahon then returns to talking dirty, when he is interrupted by another knock on the door, Vince yelling about a private chat with Trish before turning around to see Stephanie! She looks angry as the crowd cheer, Steph storming out! Vince looked disheartened, going after her. Kurt Angle was shown changed, celebrating his victory against Chris Benoit tonight, and picking up his WWF Championship when he was interrupted by The Rock! The crowd roared as Rock stood face to face with the Olympic Gold Medallist, Angle saying that he wanted no trouble here. Rock says he'd give no trouble, as long as Angle gives Rock another opportunity at the World Wrestling Federation Championship! No Trish Stratus, no virgin hoes out at ringside. Just the two of them, laying it all on the line. Angle looks intimidated, saying yes. Angle stated that he would only settle this in a submission match. Rock asked when, as Angle told Rock this Monday night on RAW! The crowd cheered as Rock says that he is a willing businessman, but still an absolute nerd! Triple H was shown on the way to the ring, and he will face the WWF Intercontinental Champion in just a few moments, next in our main event! > > > Commercial Break < < < 7) Chris Jericho def. Triple H in a non-title match Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley was absent from the situation, as she seemed outraged with her father, Vince McMahon moments ago. Onto business here, this was the WWF Intercontinental Champion's opportunity to reach up the card, and he had done a great job of ticking off the 'Rabid Wolverine' Chris Benoit, Jericho having cost Benoit his opportunity of climbing the card and helping Kurt Angle beat him earlier on tonight. Triple H caught Y2J before he could get the momentum flowing, and the 'Game' tossed Jericho around with spinebusters and working away at the spine of Chris Jericho. Jericho soon tried firing back and applied the Walls of Jericho, but Chris Benoit came out, looking for retribution just for Jericho to springboard dropkick him away! Y2J turned around to get set up for the Pedigree, but Jericho flipped him and rolled him up with the tights, Jericho with the win! The crowd cheered loudly as Chris Jericho had once again defeated the 'Game' Triple H! The WWF Intercontinental Champion rolled out of the ring as Chris Jericho had done it. Triple H looked outraged in the ring, but suddenly Stone Cold Steve Austin appeared through the crowd, tackling Triple H and hammering him with lefts and rights! Benoit and Jericho began trading blows at ringside, and we had ourselves a back and forth brawl! Triple H rolled out of the ring as the 'Texas Rattlesnake' went after him, both men trading blows on the ringside area, SmackDown! coming to a close!

Fine opening six man tag, I like the team of Edge, Christian and Raven. Glad the heels went over, although Raven shouldn't have been the one to get the pinfall. Raven should have distracted the referee, allowing Christian to do what he did and Edge to pick up the pin. Don't really see what was necessary in having Vince arrive late to the arena as all he did was fire his driver and then head straight out for an in-ring segment. It felt as if it was just a way of having the segment take place after the opening match. Test retaining the European Championship against X-Pac was fine. I liked Albert's attack afterwards and the apparent forming of the X-Factor stable with Albert and X-Pac? All we need is Justin Credible now.. Molly beating Ivory is a tad random. As far as I'm aware, there has been no continuation of the Chyna/Ivory feud since their match at the Royal Rumble ended in a No Contest and instead Ivory has battled Trish and Molly. I would have understood Molly beating Ivory had Chyna made an appearance at ringside, but she didn't. Kurt Angle vs. Chris Benoit is a fine first hour main event. Kurt gaining a measure of revenge against Benoit after what he done to Trish Stratus on Raw was expected. I really liked Show attacking Undertaker before throwing the motorcycle off the rampway, destroying it. The Right to Censor beating The Hardy Boyz came as a shock to me and a possible single pushes for Matt and Jeff could either be really good or really bad. You caught me off-guard with Jericho beating Triple H as I thought Jericho was going to lose when Benoit made the appearance at ringside. Liked the Austin/HHH and Jericho/Benoit brawls to close out the show. Overall, the show was pretty good but there was a few things that I felt should have been done differently. Like I've said numerous times, I wish you would cut down on the amount of detail you put into your shows as too much detail is what puts me off replying to this more regularly.

Fine six man tag to open up the show. Spike in WWF is fine, but I hope he doesn’t get too big of a push. Judging by the two announced matches in the McMahon segment, this is going to be a really stacked show. Fine Test/Pac match. I wouldn’t be opposed to see Test get a decent little push. Angle/Benoit was a good match. Liked that you didn’t have a Show/Taker match as you appear to be dragging that out. I don’t think I liked Jericho getting the win over HHH. HHH just came back to win the Rumble and then loses to Jericho on Smackdown? That didn’t seem like a good thing to do, unless Jericho is in line for some kind of monster push. Still, the number one contender losing is something I wouldn’t have done. Overall, a strong Smackdown show.

Monday 29th January 2001 - Pittsburgh, PA Live on TNNWe kick off RAW is WAR tonight to show the Chairman of the World Wrestling Federation arriving at the arena, Mr McMahon looking quite distressed, as he should be, having been caught redhanded by Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley this past Thursday night on SmackDown! McMahon headed into the Mellon Arena as we cut away. The opening RAW video package aired, and we cut to the live Mellon Arena as the crowd cheered for RAW is WAR, Jim Ross and Jerry "King" Lawler welcoming us to the show and promoting the fact that tonight we have Kurt Angle defending the WWF Championship against The Rock; But also, the WWF Intercontinental Champion, Chris Jericho will team with Stone Cold Steve Austin to take on Triple H and Chris Benoit; plus more! The theme of Mr McMahon aired as we heard boos from this capacity crowd, Vince making his strut down the ramp, of course very hasty as McMahon was not having a good week so far. McMahon began to speak about how he has an apology to issue, and it is a meaningful matter. It goes to the fans, as the crowd boo louder. McMahon speaks of how last Thursday night, the cat was thrown out of the bag, and his relationship with one Ms Stratus was revealed to his daughter. McMahon speaks about the unfortunate lies that he has told his daughter, and he apologises to the fans on behalf of the family controversies shown by this. He invites Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley out to the arena as the crowd booed, Steph wandering out looking quite displeased. Steph looked angry as she snatched a microphone from a stage hand and called her father a lying bastard! Steph says that he blatantly knew her opinion of Trish Stratus, that she was a con-artist, class-A scoundrel that sleeps her way around the locker room. She says that she can't believe that the blonde found her way to his bed, either. She asks what that looks like to the McMahons. Steph asks about her mother, Linda. She says that Vince wants to throw it all away all of a sudden, and it sickens her! The daughter continues to rant at her father as the theme of the Commissioner suddenly hit. The WWF Commissioner, William Regal wandered out to the ring, as Regal asked Stephanie if she was being perhaps a little unreasonable. He says how Mr McMahon is a respectful human being, and she of all people should realise that. Regal tells Steph that she needs to let her father be her father, because in the end, it's what matters to him, not her. Steph tells Regal to back off, as Vince tells Steph not to talk to the Commissioner like that. Vince says that he has a point, and he really thinks that Stephanie needs to blow off some steam. Which is why tonight, we will see Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley take on Lita. The crowd cheer as Steph asks if this is some sort of sick conspiracy. Her power stripped by her father, and then being denied a match with Vince's prized possession, Trish...and she's left with being put in a match against will. She says that she can't wait for Triple H to arrive later tonight. The daughter leaves as Regal and Vince look at each other. > > > Commercial Break < < < In the backstage corridor we see Michael Cole standing with the Hardy Boyz, as Cole asks the two what is going on with their team. Matt talks about how they've had some problems this past week or so, and he feels it is something to do with competition. He says that tonight he will be supporting Lita while Jeff Hardy will be competing for the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship. Jeff says how some solo work could do the Hardy Boyz some good. 1) The Dudley Boyz def. Edge and Christian to retain the WWF Tag Team Championships Edge and Christian were cashing in their rematch clause on the Dudley Boyz, as the WWF Tag Team Championships were on the line in a rematch from the Royal Rumble. D-Von and Bubba Ray seemed strong as they cleared house of Edge and Christian in the early moments, then managing to keep Christian tamed, but Christian got in a cheap low blow on D-Von, and thus Edge and Christian opened up and utilized the arm of D-Von, working it so it was a prime target. Bubba wrived the fans up, preparing the hot tag and he eventually got it, but the official didn't see it. Bubba finally got the tag, and he cleared house, but Edge and Christian started double-teaming Bubba. Edge set up a Spear on Bubba, but Edge got Christian! The 3D on Edge gave the Dudleys victory. The Dudley Boyz celebrated their win as the crowd cheered, Bubba Ray and D-Von satisfied with their work. D-Von and Bubba Ray grabbed their WWF Tag Team Championships whilst Christian attended to Edge, when suddenly Rikishi came from behind, a big super kick to Bubba! D-Von and Rikishi traded blows before Haku entered the ring, Rikishi and Haku leaving the Dudleys lying! The two Samoans seemingly leaving an interest in the WWF Tag Team Championships! We see a limousine pull up as Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley was shown, Triple H stepping out and hugging Steph. The crowd booed as Steph seemed upset about the situation. Triple H told Steph that he would be taking care of Vince and William Regal tonight, no doubt about it. > > > Commercial Break < < < 2) Steven Richards def. Spike Dudley and Raven to win the WWF Hardcore Championship Originally Raven vs Spike Dudley: Raven was finally getting his rematch for the WWF Hardcore Championship against Spike Dudley, as Spike had slyly won the WWF Hardcore Championship this past Monday night on RAW is WAR without technically having a match in the World Wrestling Federation. Spike and Raven traded shots with weapons, Raven bringing a trolley to the ring full of weapons. The trolley was used by Spike as a way to spring into action on Raven, the action spilling to ringside. Spike and Raven soon spilled into the crowd and into the backstage corridor. Raven was tossed into the female bathrooms, and as Spike took a breather, Steven Richards nailed the Steven Kick! Richards stole the victory! Steven Richards yelled as the leader of the Right to Censor had just scored the WWF Hardcore Championship! Richards ran up the corridor as Raven crawled out of the female bathroom, comical women screams heard. Raven looked confused as Jim Korderas explained what happened. He was angry! Kurt Angle was shown arriving at the Mellon Arena, as Angle is in his hometown tonight of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The WWF Champion seemed quite happy, but he has a big match with The Rock tonight. We see Stone Cold Steve Austin in the parking lot as Kevin Kelly was standing by, Kelly asking the 'Texas Rattlesnake' on what his previous attacks on Triple H have been for. Austin talks about how just because it's been two years and a quarter and everybody thinks it's all over and done, the rivalry between Austin and Triple H is far from over! Triple H is flapping his gums and costing him the Royal Rumble in act of spite, and so Austin has decided to play it unforgiving, and unforgiving on Triple H. Austin says that he will proceed to beat the holy hell out of the 'Game' until he has a match with him, and then when it's all said and done, Austin 3:16 will have kicked the living daylights out of Triple H! > > > Commercial Break < < < We see Triple H in the backstage corridor, searching around for Vince McMahon, the 'Game' half-ready for his match in a few minutes! We cut to the arena as the theme of the 'American Badass' hits, the Undertaker limping out, and Undertaker did not have a smirk on his face as Undertaker came to the ring and grabbed a microphone, talking about business. Business being that he suddenly has the Big Show after his blood, and all of a sudden Big Show finds it appropriate to attack him before a fair match, and destroy his multi-thousand dollar motorcycle. He says that he doesn't appreciate, and he doesn't forgive, nor does he forget deeds like what Big Show did. The Undertaker calls Big Show out tonight as the crowd cheers, instead the pyrotechnics of the 'Big Red Machine' hitting! Kane made his way out, as the Brothers of Destruction have been an indestructible unit in past weeks. Kane grabbed a microphone and talked about how it's been a swell couple of weeks for them as a unit again. Bumping heads, though. Kane mentions how it seems as though Undertaker is patronizing him because he wears a mask and has been scarred for life by flames. He says that the two have had so much history, so graphic as well. He does NOT want any more trouble between them, but he can do without the patronization. The Undertaker tells Kane that he knows what he means, Kane then cutting 'Taker off again, saying that Big Show has used Kane as a calling card for 'Taker, and he's not being used as a stepping stone! The theme of Big Show suddenly hit as the crowd booed, Big Show walking calmly out to the rampway, a microphone in hand as he says he's interested in this challenge on display by both Undertaker AND Kane. He reminds them both of their past, saying how the Undertaker was always made out to be the leader, and Kane always played second fiddle. He says he watched them both on WWF television, after Kane debuted. How Paul Bearer manipulated both men. How he brainwashed Kane into the hatred of Undertaker. But they're brotherly now. They're sissied up now. Show talks about how not a single thing has changed! The Undertaker is still as patronizing and disrespectful to Kane as he ever has been, because he still finds the World Wrestling Federation to be 'his yard'. The Undertaker calls bullsh*t, as he says how Big Show is trying to manipulate them like Paul did so many times in the past. Kane then cut 'Taker off, saying that Paul was a good person. The 'Big Red Machine' slammed the microphone down and left the ring, Big Show grinning. The Big Show grins and asks Undertaker how he likes it. Suddenly, Kane grabs Show by the throat, and we have Show and Kane trading fists! The crowd cheer as Undertaker watches from the ring, Kane preparing a Chokeslam on Show off the stage, but Show easily overpowers, and delivered a massive Showstopper from the stage to Kane! The Undertaker leaves the ring as Big Show heads for the back, the 'American Badass' attending to his unconscious brother in the pit! An advertisement aired, promoting the next WWF extravaganza, No Way Out. Live on pay-per-view on Sunday 25th February 2001 from Las Vegas, Nevada. > > > Commercial Break < < < A replay from moments ago is shown, showcasing how Big Show manipulated the Brothers of Destruction, but engaged Kane and Show into a brawl which ended with a massive Showstopper off the stage by Show on Kane. We see Triple H fire into the office of William Regal, the Commissioner startled by the 'Game's appearance. Triple H slams his hands down on the table and begins to ask Regal what voice he really has, and what right he thinks he has to stick his nose in some family business, especially that goes against his wife, Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley. Regal tells Hunter that he was just doing what was instructed to him by Mr McMahon; to defend him if an argument ensues, to try and save their family relationship. The 'Cerebral Assassin' tells Regal that he may consider letting him go, but he'll be coming back for more, and possibly more of William Regal if it turns out that he's lying. Regal tells Hunter to calm down, and prepare himself for his match. Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley was shown walking down a corridor as the crowd give her a mixed reaction, Lita walking down another one, and the boss' daughter is in action, next! > > > Commercial Break < < < We return to RAW is WAR as the WWF Womens Champion, Ivory seated herself at ringside, talking about her recent string of success in the womens division (excluding Molly Holly). 3) Lita def. Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley This was a back and forth match as these two women have previously competed this past summer over the WWF Womens Championship. Lita got in a few shots on Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley, and it must have felt good, as the boss' daughter fended well, dropkicking Lita. Ivory really dug into Lita for her unorthodox style, and praised Stephanie for her tenacity and dominance. Steph soon tried for a Pedigree but Lita backdropped her, and Lita went up, removed her blouse and nailed the Moonsault for the win! Lita celebrated her win as the crowd cheered, Matt Hardy shown from the backstage area, a big smile on his face. However, she was suddenly nailed with the WWF Womens Championship by Ivory! The crowd booed, as Ivory was certainly making some enemies. Ivory helped Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley up, then leaving. Chris Benoit was shown in the backstage area as Benoit was confronted by Jonathan Coachman, again asking for the reason why he attacked Trish Stratus last Monday on RAW. Benoit says he wanted to prove everybody wrong. He's started that. And when he tries to climb the ladder here in the World Wrestling Federation, Chris Jericho's always here to knock him down a peg or two. He challenges Y2J to one final encounter, a ladder match for the WWF Intercontinental Championship at No Way Out. Benoit then walks, and up next we have tag team action! > > > Commercial Break < < < 4) Chris Benoit and Triple H def. Chris Jericho and Stone Cold Steve Austin This was a wild match as the 'Rabid Wolverine' had a settle to score with the WWF Intercontinental Champion, Chris Jericho, in fact Y2J having the challenge on the table still for a ladder match for his title, at No Way Out. Benoit and Triple H worked over the shoulder of Jericho, but for the main part this was just individual action, Benoit hating Jericho and Austin hating Triple H. Triple H got in so many cheap shots on Stone Cold, it motivated the 'Texas Rattlesnake' to go straight for him, and the 'Game' answered, Triple H and Stone Cold Steve Austin ending up brawling to the backstage area. Benoit and Jericho in the ring, both exchanged technical counters to submissions, a game of one-up. Jericho tried the Walls of Jericho, but Benoit cradled Jericho for the sneaky win! Chris Benoit rolled out of the ring, and the 'Rabid Wolverine' had got the win over Chris Jericho! But at No Way Out, it won't be over with a cradle, it will end when one man claims the WWF Intercontinental Championship theirs! We return to the backstage area as Triple H and Stone Cold Steve Austin were trading fists, the 'Game' sending the 'Texas Rattlesnake' into a table in the consession stand, and Austin just sends Triple H right through the booth, almost taking out the vendor! Austin leaves the 'Cerebral Assassin' down, walking away smoothly. We see The Rock arrive at the Mellon Arena to a loud reaction, but tonight he is out of his element, as the 'Brahma Bull' challenges Kurt Angle for the WWF Championship in a submission match! > > > Commercial Break < < < We return to RAW is WAR as Chris Jericho was shown breathless, Jonathan Coachman asking Y2J on his thoughts to Chris Benoit's challenge to him earlier tonight. Chris Jericho talked about how he is planning to be a fighting champion, and he's accepting this ladder match challenge at No Way Out! One last time, Y2J will get the job done! 5) Tazz def. Eddie Guerrero (w/Perry Saturn and Terri) This all arose after Tazz made Eddie Guerrero pass out to the Tazzmission last night on Sunday Night Heat during six-man tag team action. Eddie Guerrero got in some cheap shots as the bell sounded, Guerrero really motivated on keeping Tazz down and under control. 'Latino Heat' kept hammering on Tazz, we never seeing the hard-hitting side of the fiery Hispanic. The 'Human Suplex Machine' soon fired back with the suplexes, but Eddie dropkicked the knee and targeted. Unfortunately, Eddie wound up letting himself into the Tazzmission, and Eddie gave up! Tazz celebrated his win as the crowd cheered, but Perry Saturn hit the ring, Saturn trading blows with the 'Human Suplex Machine' before he gave Saturn the Tazzplex! Tazz applied the Tazzmission, but Eddie Guerrero nailed Tazz with a low blow! Saturn nailed the Fisherman Suplex as The Radicalz stood tall with Terri over Tazz. In the backstage area, Haku and Rikishi were shown storming into the office of the Acolyte Protection Agency, as the APA seemed offended by their entrance. Rikishi stated with tension that he says he doesn't find Bradshaw and Faarooq man enough to be a part of a protection agency. Faarooq says that their opinion isn't wanted around here, and before long a brawl ensues, as Bradshaw and Haku wind up trading blows and slamming each other into a wall of files, whilst Faarooq found himself being laid out on the bar table, the action absolutely even. The backup, Holly Cousins then came onto the scene, as Crash and Hardcore tried to go after Rikishi and Haku as well, but they found themselves in danger too! Haku tossed Crash RIGHT through the door, as Rikishi laid Hardcore facedown in a pile of beercans. Haku and Rikishi had demolished two of the hardest tag teams single handedly! > > > Commercial Break < < < Vince McMahon was shown sat alone in his office, when suddenly the door burst open and Vince jumped up as Triple H dove into the room, furious. The Chairman yelled as Triple H yelled at him, telling him about how he needs to handle this Stone Cold Steve Austin business once and for all, because he can't handle this bullsh*t. Vince tells Hunter to calm it around him, yelling how he knows he's after him for what he's done to his daughter. Vince schools Triple H, telling him that he's had family problems, but even then it's nothing to do with the son-in-law. Triple H tells him to shut up, saying how he is as much a family member as Vince McMahon himself is! McMahon tells Hunter that if he hits him, he will sue, and he will allow Stone Cold any physical contact any time he wants! Triple H humbles, as Vince tells Hunter that he can negotiate: if Triple H keeps his nose out of his face, he can have it down in writing that Stone Cold Steve Austin can not go anywhere near him! Triple H thinks for a second, then calmly agrees! Triple H has sold his soul to the evil father, and sold his soul against his own wife! X-Pac and Albert were already in the ring as we returned to RAW is WAR, as these two superstars had seemingly banded. Kaientai's theme hit, as TAKA Michinoku and Funaki came out to dubbed voices, talking about how X-Pac sucks, and Albert has the personality of a milk carton! The two comedically laugh, then running down to the ring. 6) X-Pac and Albert def. Kaientai Kaientai tried to be their best, but X-Pac kicked Funaki's head off right at the starter bell. Albert tossed Funaki and TAKA Michinoku around like ragged dolls, and X-Pac basically nailed a quick X-Factor on Funaki, Albert then nailing the Baldo Bomb on Funaki for the extremely easy victory. X-Pac and Albert celebrated their win as X-Pac grabbed a microphone, X-Pac talking about how he had landed back in the World Wrestling Federation, and gained a new, powerful associate by the likeness of Albert. He says how they will make a Kaientai out of anybody who tries to diss them. Albert expresses interest in the WWF European Championship that the 'overrated' Test is holding. An advertisement aired, promoting WWF Tough Enough, and how applications are now open to air on MTV this Spring! 7) Jeff Hardy def. Dean Malenko to win the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship Dean Malenko has been the longest reigning WWF champion in the company at the moment, having held the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship since April. This was the beginning of the Hardy Boyz going solo, perhaps, as Jeff Hardy showed a lot of potential and nailed plenty of high-flying moves on Malenko, managing to almost swipe the win on very often occasions. Malenko kept bringing the competition though, and he worked the knee of Hardy, going for the Texas Cloverleaf but Jeff broke out, and caught Malenko with a hurricanrana, then nailing the Swanton Bomb to win the title! Jeff Hardy celebrated as Tim White handed him his WWF Light Heavyweight Championship, Hardy celebrating with it. Matt and Lita were shown watching from a monitor in the back, and both seemed incredibly happy for Jeff, having won his first solo title. Perhaps a sign to come on RAW tonight! We see The Rock and Kurt Angle down seperate corridors, and these two compete for the WWF Championship in a submission match...next! > > > Commercial Break < < < 8) Kurt Angle def. The Rock to retain the WWF Championship in a Submission match This was a back and forth, intense match as Kurt Angle showed so much promise, the WWF Champion resilient in his hometown and getting a mixed reaction from the capacity crowd, but it still couldn't compare to the reaction of the 'Great One'. The Rock had fifteen thousand strong screaming his name, and Rock seemed not so awkward in a submission match environment. Angle did go for the ankle, taking Rock right off of his feet, as Angle was just relentless and the Olympic Gold Medallist proved why he is the World Wrestling Federation Champion. Rock fired back, trying to keep off of his bad foot, Angle soon winding him back into a German suplex. Angle prepared the Angle Slam, but Rock slipped out and turned it into a floatover DDT, then nailing a spinebuster and applying the Sharpshooter! Angle was wriving in pain when Angle broke out, flipping over and applying the Ankle Lock! Rock tried for the ropes on several occasions, but Angle went original and he hooked the leg he was working over! Angle made Rock tap after several minutes in the submission! Kurt Angle celebrated his win as the crowd gave him a mixed reaction, the Olympic Gold Medallist having done it again, but successfully coming out without cheating this time! The WWF Champion celebrated his win on the rampway as he had actually earned it! RAW is WAR goes off the air.
