Chael Sonnen Delivers Poem To Anderson Silva At Q&A "Anderson think it through, There's still a few months before they lock the cage door behind me and you, Last time they raised your hand, But it was plain to see, That I took a lot more out of you than you took out of me, I broke the mirror and I blew away the smoke, It was me who tapped, But it was you who broke"Chael Sonnen is at it again. His obsession to get under Anderson Silva's skin entertained us for months prior to their UFC 117 battle. Thankfully the entertainment will continue as the two are reportedly scheduled to rematch on the UFC's New Years Day show. www.bjpenn.com/profiles/blogs/chael-sonnen-delivers-poem-toHere's a preview of Chael's next walkout theme -

Interesting read...
he talked trash on Brock, GSP, Wanderlei, and Shogun. Those are some pretty big names to be calling out. The guy is entertaining as hell. I still think Anderson will beat him in their rematch, though.

Maybe instead of writing poems, choosing new walk out music, and challenging everyone else in every other weight class, he should just focus on not choking as he's done with every title shot he's been given in MMA?

He beat Paulo Filho in what was suppose to be a title rematch at WEC 36, but Filho showed up overweight so the title wasn't on the line.

Fair enough. I suppose the point was that he beat up an already injured fighter for 23 minutes, and still was made to tap out. So perhaps he should focus a little more on preparing to defend his own krytonite, instead of making poems to taunt that guy who just beat him.

I don't disagree, but given the amount of **** he talked last time, he was able to back it up but not finish the fight. He fell victim to the thing that he almost always fall victim to. And given the type of fighter Silva is, he fell victim to one of the things Silva is great at.
I would disagree with the "took alot more out of you than me" comment, considering Silva looked like he just walked out of the gate after the fight, and Sonnen looked like he had been punching himself the entire time.

Sonnen's just a up. He's amazing to listen to, and he's not even a bad fighter, he's extremely talented but he's made the same mistake about 7-8 times now. It's ridiculous and extremely disappointing. Also this tough guy "I go for 15 or 25 minutes" sh*t he pulls has got to go too. He had about half a dozen moments to finish Silva in the fight but was determined to get the decision. Sonnen over-commits on the ground just as bad as Chuck Liddell does standing up. As for the hurting bit, Silva himself told Sonnen he hurt him. Not denying Silva didn't up Chael, but in no way was Silva "in the same shape he was as when he walked in" after the fight. You don't hit someone 289 and not hurt them.

Silva only hit Sonnen a few times, and made his face look a lot worse.

"Silva was being nice clearly."
Lol. Ok.
It was that nasty ass counter elbow he hit Sonnen with, the one that nearly KO'd him that cut Sonnen I think.

Cocaine beat Paulo Filho. I'm pretty sure there wasn't a punch or kick thrown in the entire 3rd round. That was an absolute joke.

Let us not forget the straight right punch that set up the triangle to begin with. Or the front kick to the face. Or the kick to the body that made Chael almost fall over in pain.

Umm...Chael Sonnen didn't beat Paulo Filho. Yes he did. You obviously didn't finish reading my response and/or didn't watch the fight at all. Paulo Filho spent the entire fight looking into the crowd, literally. The fight went the distance and was probably the most awkward fight many have ever witnessed. Giving Chael Sonnen credit for a win in that fight is pretty pointless. He certainly didn't "deserve" or "earn" it.

So...
Paulo Filho made poor choices that cost him a fight...granted it was a sanctioned fight he knew about for God knows how long, but because he made poor choices coming into the fight, this is cause to revoke Sonnen's victory?
