Interesting segment to kick the show off. Bit weird that Tomko didn't have anyone in his corner, and left me wondering what the hell the point in putting him over 1/2 of the World Tag Team Champions although announcing Christian and Tomko vs. Tajiri and Regal for the straps is nice. Wouldn't mind seeing Tomko and Christian win. Tag match was a nice way to feature all 4 and set up the Intercontinental Title match at Backlash. Can see Benjamin prevailing come the PPV. Stratus over Lita was expected. Surprised to see Orton go over Batista, especially since he is the World Champion. However, the ending to the match made sense. Overall, while the right people won I just feel like you're seriously lacking another match and a few more backstage segments. The show was basically A def. B, graphic for match, A def. B, graphic for match the entire way through.

Heidenreich held the United States Championship high above as we head to commercial.
---Commercial Break---
Backstage, Josh Matthews is asking Big Show does he need backup to beat Carlito and Morgan. Show says that he does not because one of him equals two of them. He's dealt with 2 on 1 before, and won in that situation, and he will not be stopped now.
Carlito w/Matt Morgan def. Hardcore Holly Decent matchup here. The seasoned veteran, Hardcore Holly showed the cocky superstar, Carlito how they do it. Carlito didn't get much offense in until he nailed a flapjack in the corner and then he went to work, keeping Holly grounded. That proved to be his advantge as he nailed the Cool Shot later on to pick up the win.
We see a promo hyping our main event coming up next, John Cena vs. Kurt Angle.
---Commercial Break---
We see a promotion video hyping WWE Judgment Day which airs on May 22nd, 2005.
WWE Champion John Cena def. Kurt Angle via DQ 16:28 Brilliant main event here tonight. These two wrestling gladiators started with some major chain wrestling with Angle won locking in a waistlock. Cena would elbow out and managed to hit the one-handed bulldog and fisherman suplex. Cena went for a crossbody but Angle dodged. Kurt Angle kicked the grounded Cena while he was on the ground and worked over him for the moment. Cena came back with some shoulder blocks, back suplex bomb, 5 Knuckle Shuffle, and called for the F-U. Angle slid off and tried for the Angle Slam which Cena dodged and hit the throwback and diving leg drop. Cena lifted Angle who slid back and nailed the Angle Slam for the 2! Angle locked in an Ankle Lock and Heel Hook but Cena reached the ropes. Angle lifted Cena up to a surprise F-U for the two! Cena went to the top but Angle hit the ropes and went for a superplex but Cena pushed him off. JBL came and pushed Cena off the top rope for the DQ.
JBL nailed Cena and Angle with the Clothesline From Hell and threw Angle away. JBL turned his attention to John Cena and nailed his signature Powerbomb. JBL stood tall over WWE Champion John Cena holding the WWE Championship high as Friday Night SmackDown the commentators wished us a good night, and SmackDown goes off air.

WWE has signed a developmental deal with CM Punk. He's expected to go to WWE's devolopmental territory, OVW and then wrestle a few dark matches.
Management is questioning about brand exclusives right now. The idea currently is to right through 2005 and in 2006, brands are going to share PPVs. That could subject to change in the near future.
That is all for news in World Wrestling Entertainment as of April 23rd, 2005.

Monday Night RAW April 25th, 2005 Birmingham, ENG
We see a video package of last week when Randy Orton defeated Batista since the special referee, Triple H cost him the match.
The pyrotechnics erupted from the stage. Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross welcome us to another edition of Monday Night RAW. They hype that tonight, Kane will go one-on-one with IC Champion Shelton Benjamin. They are overpowered by the entrance theme of Triple H as he comes out getting some major heat tonight.
"The Game" hits and Triple H makes his way out to the ring. Triple H says that last week, three of the four Evolution mates were in the same ring. They all hated each other too. And sadly, Batista failed to overcome Randy Orton because of "The Game". He goes on to say that Batista had better get used to losing because in just six days, he's going to take the World Heavyweight Championship. World Heavyweight Champion Batista makes his way done the ramp angrily and protests his case. Batista says that if Triple H wants to cost him a match last week, he's not only to destroy any chance Triple H's chances of winning the World Heavyweight Championship, he might just ruin his chances of even making it to the World Heavyweight Championship Match. Eric Bischoff comes to the stage and says that they need to calm down because tonight, they will be put to a test because tonight, they will both be in action. Hassan takes on Batista and Triple H will go one-on-one with Chris Jericho. The crowd is loving this as we head to commercial.
---Commercial Break---
We come back to see a graphic hyping our two blockbuster main events just six days until Backlash. Batista/Hassan and HHH/Jericho.
Kane def. Intercontinental Champion Shelton Benjamin Pretty good start to Monday Night RAW here tonight. Benjamin dove over the top rope as Kane made his way down and threw Kane into the steel steps. Kane was rolled in the ring and Benjamin walked over the turnbuckle and Kane got in the zone nailing some punches, big boot, sidewalk slam, and a flying clothesline. Kane went for the Chokeslam but Benjamin managed to hit a DDT in mid-air and then went for a top rope splash but Kane caught him by the throat and nailed a hard Chokeslam for the victory.
Kane celebrated his victory. Edge looks on the TV very unhappy about tonight. Jericho is also shown in a different room, very happy with the result.
Backstage, we see Todd Grisham asking Muhammad Hassan how happy he is about finally getting a shot at Batista. Hassan says he's not happy considering how long it took, but tonight, Batista's going to become a victim of his anger. We see another graphic of out main event and then we head to commercial.
---Commercial Break---
Chris Benoit and World Tag Team Champions Tajiri & William Regal def. Christian, Tyson Tomko, and Ric Flair. This was a pretty decent tag team matchup here, showcasing some of the feuds and matches we'll be seeing at Backlash this Sunday. Christian and Benoit kicked off things in a very good battle. They went with the typical all the faces getting some. The man that was isolated was William Regal. They got him with multiple tags and stomps and knees and all to keep him from making a tag. He eventually made the tag to Chris Benoit who hit Tomko with three German Suplexes. Christian came in and went for a Killswitch but Benoit pushed him right into a hard kick to the face via Tajiri. Regal took himself and Flair out of the collision which allowed Benoit to hit the Diving Headbutt on Tomko to seal the victory.
Benoit and the World Tag Champs Regal & Tajiri celebrated a very hard fought victory to the crowd's delight.
Backstage, we see Lita on the phone. She doesn't seem to happy. Trish walks in asking her if she's mad and that she's got something else to be mad at when she loses the Women's Title Match at Backlash. Lita goes off on her saying that she may've beaten Victoria and Christy Hemme and even Lita but this Sunday, Lita has never been more ruthless. Trish will find that out the hard way when she goes crying back to where she came from when she's lost the gold. Lita storms off leaving Trish slightly stunned. And coming up next, Batista/Hassan.
---Commercial Break---
Backstage, Grisham doesn't get to ask Jericho the question simply because Ric Flair storms through not noticing Jericho. Jericho and Flair get into a shoving contest and soon, it turns to a brawl which security comes and breaks up before the bad blood really started to boil. The commentators put over how brutal that was and how it could be a potential rivalry in the future.
World Heavyweight Champion Batista def. Muhammad Hassan w/Daivari via DQ. This was a pretty good matchup here. Hassan attacked Batista while he was on the turnbuckle. Hassan had the advantage for a moment but Batista rallied back with some hard lefts and rights and pulled Hassan back for a Spinebuster. Batista set up for the Batista Bomb but Hassan rolled away and hit leaping reverse STO for a close 2. Hassan went to the top but in mid-air, Batista got a Spear and set up for another Batista Bomb. Hassan gave him a low blow though.
Daivari and Hassan attacked the World Heavyweight Champion in a vicious assault. All before "Sexy Boy" hit and Michaels ran down the ramp and ducked a shot and nailed a Sweet Chin Music on Daivari. Hassan booted him and turned around into a Batista Bomb. Batista and Shawn Michaels taunted on seperate turnbuckles as the crowd went absolutely nuts. We head to commercial.
---Commercial Break---
We come back to see a graphic showing that following their backstage altercation, Chris Jericho and Ric Flair will face off the night after Backlash. They rundown the Backlash card before we head to our next divas contest.
Victoria def. Christy Hemme and Lita in a Triple Threat Backlash Preview Match. This was a basic preview of our Fatal Four Way Match we'd see at Backlash, only this time, without the champion. All the divas had a pretty equal chance of winning but eventually, Lita hit the lita-o-rana and took herself out allowing Victoria to drop Hemme and roll her up for the victory.
Victoria got up and jumped around like she'd just won the Women's Championship. She received a mixed reaction and Trish Stratus came down and nailed her with a shot with the Women's Championship. She stood tall over all of her challengers for Backlash holding the title high as we see a graphic hyping our Jericho/HHH main event as we see them backstage on split screen. We head to break.
---Commercial Break---
We see a promotion video hyping WWE Backlash 2005 and it's main match, the World Heavyweight Championship Match between challenger, Triple H and champion, Batista. On May 1st, 2005 which is this Sunday.
Rhyno def. Sylvain Grenier This match was basically to put Rhyno over after losing a couple of times. Rhyno crashed and collided with the turnbuckle so Grenier got to hit a montage of moves like the neckbreaker, backbreaker, inverted Overdrive. Rhyno managed to use his advantage make a late rally hitting the shoulder blocks, and he stalked Grenier for his finisher. Grenier got up and fell victim to the huge Gore and the cover, thus giving Rhyno a pretty hard fought victory tonight on RAW.
Rhyno pulled himself up and got a surprisingly massive ovation from the crowd tonight. That pumped him up a whole lot as he celebrated his victory as Grenier argued with the referee. That's the last image we see as we head to commercial break. The final one before our Triple H/Chris Benoit main event.
---Commercial Break---
We get to see one more rundown of the Backlash card and then some of the main matches for SmackDown's Judgment Day 2005 card. And now, it's time to see HHH/Jericho.
Triple H def. Chris Jericho 14:12 This match really reminded us of their classic rivalry for many years in this brilliant main event tonight. Triple H and Chris Jericho traded lefts and rights before Jericho ducked one and nailed a flashback. Jericho went for an early Lionsault but HHH rolled away and turned Jericho inside out with a hard clothesline. Triple H began to use some dirty tactics on the ropes and stuff to get the referee all angry. That proved to be his disadvantage as he walked right into a step up Engizuri and then a flying elbow off the top rope. Jericho had the Walls of Jericho locked in and looked to pick up the win. Triple H got back to his back and kicked Jericho to the ropes where Shelton Benjamin was hiding at and drilled Jericho with a shot to the kidneys with. The referee was unsure of what happened and Triple H capitalized on a Pedigree for the shocking two! Triple H grew fuming and nailed a second hard Pedigree, this time, giving him the victory over Chris Jericho for the win.
Triple H celebrated his very hard fought victory and taunted on the top rope. Shelton Benjamin smiled and stood tall holding the Intercontinental Championship high over the laid out Chris Jericho. World Heavyweight Champion Batista comes to the stage as he stares down HHH on the turnbuckle, as RAW goes off air.

Thursday Night SmackDown April 28th, 2005 United Kingdom
A promo hypes what happened last week with the huge main event of John Cena taking on Kurt Angle ending in DQ and JBL standing tall to end SmackDown.
Tazz and Michael Cole welcome us to a jam-packed edition of Thursday Night SmackDown. They hype tonight's huge main events which are WWE Tag Team Champions Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio teaming up with WWE Champion John Cena to take on MNM and JBL. We are also going to see Kurt Angle lock horns with The Undertaker. The action starts now with former World Champion, Booker T!
Booker T def. Rene Dupree Solid start to SmackDown here. Booker came right at Dupree with some lefts and rights and chops and all until Dupree got a knee to the gut and some of his own to the corner and throwing Booker's head into the turnbuckle. Dupree took over for about two minutes or so but Dupree then set up for the Dupree Bomb but Booker slid through, kicked Dupree in the gut, and nailed the Scissors Kick for the win.
Booker T celebrated the victory which was very hard-fought. Dupree sit in the ring in complete anger as we head backstage.
Backstage, we see Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio. Matthews asks them are they worried they cannot defeat MNM. Mysterio says that he and Eddie Guerrero and beaten the best in singles and tag team action. So if MNM thinks they'll just stroll and cheat their way to victory, they have another thing coming because that's Eddie's job. Rey and Eddie shake hands/hug before we head to the graphic hyping our blockbuster main events tonight.
---Commercial Break---
Big Show def. Matt Morgan w/Carlito Tonight, Big Show proved he could defeat the Carlito/Morgan tandem one-on-one, and this match wasn't too hard for him. Morgan did ground him once and had an advantage, but Show came back, nailing a Showstopper for the victory.
Big Show got up, proud of his work. Carlito attempted to attack but Big Show came him a Showstopper too. Could this be the image we see come Judgment Day?
Cole and Tazz thank the authors of Judgment Day's theme song as we head backstage once again. JBL is shown backstage tieing his boots up. MNM bust through to make sure JBL and MNM are on the same page. JBL says that he doesn't like these guys attitude, he doesn't like their gimmick, he doesn't even like them. But what he does like, is too see John Cena in pain, which is the image we will see tonight. JBL and MNM walk out the door. We see a graphic hyping our Angle/Taker match up next.
---Commercial Break---
We see a promotion video hyping WWE Backlash from the RAW brand. That will be this Sunday and is presented by Tekken 5.
We see a rundown of our Judgment Day card for next month. It shows the newly added match, MNM taking on Eddie and Rey for the WWE Tag Team Titles.
Kurt Angle vs. The Undertaker ends in No Contest Great, long PPV quality matchup tonight on SmackDown. Taker was right at Angle in the corner with some body blows before seperation came and Taker walked into a crossbody and then some dirty stomps on the corner and in the turnbuckle. Angle's taunt cost him as he looked down to an uppercut and then a big boot. Taker went to the top and hit a forearm smash from the top. He raised his arm for the Chokeslam but Angle kicked his leg and nailed a DDT. Angle got the Ankle Lock applied with Taker immediately getting the ropes. Angle used all the way up to four and went at it again. Angle pulled off the straps but the Angle Slam failed and he was hit with Snake Eyes and then a Last Ride for the close two. Taker called for the end of this match here. Suddenly, from behind Orton nails him with an RKO!
Orton stands over Undertaker grinning and began to stalk Angle. Angle got up and turned around right into an RKO as well. Orton didn't seem done with Undertaker going to get a chair and kicking Angle out of the mix. Orton drilled Taker with a chair repeatedly and stood the chair up and nailed two vicious RKOs on it before climbing to the turnbuckle and giving his signature taunt, leaving backstage with two world champions laid out in the ring.
---Commercial Break---
We come back to see a replay of what just happened. We hear that Teddy Long has assigned a match for next week. He said if Orton wants to keep invading SmackDown, then he'll have to beat it's top dogs first. Because next week, Randy Orton is going to face Kurt Angle! The crowd is loving next week's main event. We head to interview.
Josh Matthews is backstage with WWE Champion John Cena. Matthews asks him does he trust Eddie and Rey. Cena says that he's a good friend with Rey Mysterio. And despite being in a former notable feud with Eddie Guerrero, they've both realized their problems and are now cool with it. Especially if that means putting JBL down tonight. Cena walks off smiling as Matthews looks on pretty happy too.
Heidenreich and Cruiserweight Champion Paul London def. United States Champion Orlando Jordan and Chavo Guerrero. This was some real decent hype for Judgment Day's two matches. Kidman was on commentary here. Heidenreich and Guerrero kicked off things with Heidenreich using his power hitting a stalling suplex, big boot, forearm smash, and a clothesline turning Guerrero inside out. Eventually, they worked the ring in half on London. After about four minutes, London hit a hard kick to the head and then a hurricanrana and got the tag to Heidenreich who ducked a clothesline and nailed a double forearm smash. London took Guerrero out and Heidenreich hit a spinning side slam on Jordan to win.
Heidenreich celebrates his victory over the champion here tonight. He and London celebrate a hard fought victory here tonight as we see a graphic hyping our main event. But coming up next, tag team action!
---Commercial Break---
We see a bit of hype for RAW's main event this coming Monday which will be just 24 hours removed from Backlash, we are going to see Chris Jericho taking on "Nature Boy" Ric Flair!
The Dudley Boyz def. The Bashams Decent hype to our tag team division here. This wasn't a real long match but it was solid for what it was. The Bashams couldn't really work over any of the bigger team but kept it going back and forth. But eventually, Danny falls victim to a 3D tag finisher for the victory.
The Dudleys celebrate the victory that could put them in tag team contention. The Bashams head up the ramp in some anger. We see one more hype before our main event, Cena, Guerrero, and Mysterio vs. MNM and JBL, next on SmackDown.
---Commercial Break---
We get a promotion video hyping WWE Judgment Day, a little less than a month away here. And it's exclusive to the SmackDown brand.
WWE Champion John Cena and WWE Tag Team Champions Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio def. John Bradshaw Layfield, Johnny Nitro, and Joey Mercury Great, star powered main event here to close out the final SmackDown of April. Cena and Mercury kicked off things with Cena getting the main rush here nailing some hard rights and then a one-handed bulldog and then a missile dropkick. Cena tagged in Mysterio who gave in some of his highflying but a blind tag from Nitro gave them the momentum here. They worked over Mysterio all hitting some of their main moves here but with Mysterio being able to endure alot of pain, it took a whole lot in order to put the ever-so resilient highflyer, Rey Mysterio down. Mysterio came back on a run with a barrage of moves. Mysterio nails a 619 on Nitro and takes out Mercury. Cena flips JBL over the top rope as Eddie Guerrero closes this thing out via Frog Splash off the top rope for the victory.
The crowd went nuts for the champions of SmackDown here. JBL, Nitro, Mercury, and Melina all went up the stage, very disappointed with JBL one way and Mercury, Nitro, and Melina the other way. Cena stood on the ropes, Mysterio and Guerrero on the turnbuckles, they all raised their titles high as Thursday Night SmackDown went to a close

WWE Backlash 2005 May 1st, 2005 Manchester, NH in Verizon Wireless Arena
We see a clip, showing some of the more major feuds that will come to cultivate tonight, which promotes the World Heavyweight Title Match, the Submission Match, and the Grudge Match, to take place tonight.
We head to the arena, where we head to the corner of the stage, to see Jim Ross and Jerry "The King" Lawler welcome us to Backlash, and hype the matches which will take place tonight, as we head to our first contest.
Intercontinental Championship Match Shelton Benjamin (c) def. Chris Jericho @ 13:51
This was a fantastic way to kick off Backlash, as Jericho comes out, getting a huge pop. Benjamin comes out, and has been getting alot of heat since becoming a heel. Jericho and Benjamin traded arm drags, before Benjamin hit the Northern Lights Suplex, followed by the snap suplex, before whipping Jericho off to the ropes. Benjamin missed the Stinger Splash, allowing Jericho to throw him out and hits the triangle dropkick. Jericho attempts the springboard plancha over the top rope, before throwing Benjamin into the ringpost and taunting while he could. He throws Benjamin into the ring, before stepping onto the apron. Benjamin knees him in the jaw, and then hits the Dragon Whip and then a top rope crossbody. Benjamin attempts to hit his signature Superkick, but Jericho dodges, and hits Benjamin with the Breakdown. He attempts to lock in the Walls of Jericho, but goes into the referee. Benjamin low blows Jericho, and then goes to get his Intercontinental Championship and nails Jericho in the head with it. Before finally hitting the T-Bone Suplex, and a cover, as he hooks the legs, and takes the victory.
Backstage, Todd Grisham asks Muhammad Hassan how he feels about Shawn Michaels and his match against him tonight. Hassan says that since 9-11, Arab-Americans have been discriminated, and tonight, he's going to win this match for his kind and show who the superior nation has always been. The crowd gives him deafening heat, as we then head to another part of the backstage area.
Kane and Lita are shown backstage. Kane says that tonight, is the night that is made for Kane and Lita, because after Kane becomes Mr. Money in the Bank, and Lita wins the Women's Title, they will share a kiss, and will be known as the greatest mixed tandem of all time. Kane hits the demented laugh, as we head back to our next battle.
World Tag Team Championship Match William Regal and Tajiri (c) def. Christian and Tomko @ 5:17
It was very nice to see Christian and Tomko come very close to winning the World Tag Team Champions. Regal and Tajiri seemed to obviously get the win, as they have more chemistry, since teaming up since early February of this year. It was a decent back-and-forth match, ending in Christian hitting Regal with the Unprettier, but it wasn't enough as Regal wasn't the legal man, and with Tomko out, Tajiri hit a sick Buzzsaw Kick to win the match.
Tajiri and William Regal celebrate their match, as they retain the World Tag Team Championship. There have been two title defenses tonight, which is the subject of the next interview.
Todd Grisham is standing by with the former World Heavyweight Champion, Triple H. Grisham asks Triple H if he is nervous that we've already seen two title retains tonight, HHH cuts him off and says that Triple H was in neither of those matches. Had the best in the world been in those it would've happened. He doesn't pressure himself on others defeats, he only applies pressure. HHH leaves, to some big heat.
Women's Championship Match Lita def. Trish Stratus (c), Victoria, and Christy Hemme @ 2:57
A fairly good divas match here. They have remained consistent in these matches, and this was very good. Victoria looked to have tweaked her ankle with a suicide dive over the top rope on Trish Stratus, putting her out for most of the time. Trish had the match here, but Hemme had ducked the Chick Kick, and hit the Reverse Twist of Fate on Stratus. As she went for a cover, out of nowhere, Lita hits a big Litasault, taking Hemme out of the equation, as it nails Stratus and Lita takes the Women's Championship.
Lita celebrates, jumping around, making half Lita and Kane's plan right.
We head to a graphic which shows the recent feud, taking place between Chris Benoit and Ric Flair.
Submission Match Ric Flair def. Chris Benoit @ 18:40
What a screw this was. One of the greatest matches we've ever seen, and Benoit and Flair, two of the greatest submission specialists ever went at it, as Benoit had ducked a chop, and started off with the German Suplex, three of them, and then then hits some chops in the corner, but eventually, they were reversed. Flair got him some, and then whipped him to another turnbuckle, and as Benoit came off, Flair cockily hit the eye poke, and followed it up with a textbook suplex. Flair attempts to lock in the Figure Four Leglock, but Benoit kicks away, and then hits Flair with the Sharpshooter! Flair rolls through immediately, and rolls Benoit up, eventually kicking Benoit in the gut, and then catapulting him to the top rope, where Benoit kept his balance, and knocked Flair to the canvas, and then dove to the top rope and nails the Diving Headbutt! They are both out, before soon, Benoit tries to get the arm for the Crossface, but Flair pushes him to the ropes and runs into the brass knuckles! Flair has knocked him out cold, leading eventually to Flair locking in the Figure Four Leglock. Benoit gains conscious, eventually, and kicks Flair into the referee, and locks in the Crippler Crossface! Flair holds on, before tapping out! But the referee is down, allowing Flair to survive. Benoit lifts Flair to his feet, but was caught with the low blow! Flair then locks in the Figure Four Leglock, but Benoit had been knocked out, and eventually had to take as he gained his consciousness.
Ric Flair celebrates, jumping around and celebrating his victory, as we then head backstage.
Batista is shown in his locker room, exercising, getting ready for the World Heavyweight Championship Match, as Triple H is shown backstage, taping his wrists, as we head to a promo, hyping our next match, which is between Shawn Michaels and Muhammad Hassan.
Singles Match Muhammad Hassan w/Khosrow Daivari def. Shawn Michaels @ 16:54
Shawn Michaels has gotten the biggest pop of the night so far. Hassan has gotten arguably the biggest heat of the night, as Daivari came out, holding a mini Arab flag. Hassan and Daivari had both planned to attack HBK before the bell, but Michaels dives over the top rope, crashing onto them both, before getting up and throwing Hassan into the steel steps, and rolling him into the ring, eventually hitting some chops, before whipping Hassan off the ropes, where Hassan kicks him in the head, and then clotheslining Michaels hard. Hassan knees him in the back, obviously preparing for a later Camel Clutch. Hassan locked in the half-boston crab, pulling hard enough for a backbreaker, which catapults Michaels to the ropes. Hassan decapitates Michaels on the ropes, and then stomps away at him. Hassan yells at the crowd, to some heat. He then prepares for a suplex back in to the ring on Michaels, but Michaels caught his feet, and hits Hassan with the neckbreaker, jumping over the ropes. Michaels attempts the top rope elbow drop, but Hassan rolls away. They get up, and Hassan hits a powerful scoop powerslam. Hassan stalks HBK for the Reverse STO, but Michaels elbows away, and pushes Hassan off the ropes, for the forearm smash, scoop slam, and then the elbow drop, missed again. Hassan takes advantage, but misses the clothesline, but turns around into a Sweet Chin Music. Michaels attempts a cover, after a long rest, allowing Hassan to kick out of a Sweet Chin Music. Michaels tunes up the band for another, but Daivari distracts him, and ends up being hit with the Sweet Chin Music off the apron. Hassan takes advantage with the Reverse STO as he takes the victory.
Hassan celebrates a victory, the biggest of his entire career. Hassan jumps around, alongside a dizzy Daivari, as he just beat arguably the best WWE superstar ever. Hassan yells something, and they stomp away at HBK, then preparing for the Camel Clutch, as HBK is out cold, but soon, it happened! Hulk Hogan comes to HBK's aid, and hits Hassan and Daivari with a shot, ending in Michaels hitting Hassan with the Sweet Chin Music as Hogan scoop slams Daivari and hits the double leg drop. Hogan and Michaels celebrate as they crowd goes berserk.
We see the outside view of Verizon Wireless Arena, which garners a pop, as we head to a graphic.
We see a hype of the upcoming RAW pay-per-view, Vengeance, which will be on June 26th, 2005.
We see a video hype of the next match, which is for the Money in the Bank briefcase, between Edge and Kane which is now.
Singles Match for the Money in the Bank Briefcase Edge (MITB) def. Kane @ 7:14
For seven minutes, this was PPV quality. Kane got of the biggest pops tonight too. He and Edge locked up, and Edge kicked him in the gut and gave him some clubs, which eventually ended in Kane bouncing off the turnbuckle, and knocking the crapout of Edge! The crowd definitely heard it too. Kane hit some more vicious shots, before Kane hit a turnbuckle clothesline and then hit the sidewalk slam. Kane climbed the flying clothesline, but Edge rolled away, and hits the Edgecution. Edge stalked Kane for the Spear, but Kane booted Edge with a huge big boot. Kane attempted the Chokeslam, but Edge raked him in the eyes, and hits a Spear for three count.
Edge celebrates his victory, as he picks up another big win, as he proves he is Mr. Money in the Bank.
We head to the AT&T vote, which asks who the fans think will win the World Heavyweight Championship Match: And shockingly, Triple H wins 54%, and Batista gets 46%. It was obviously because of HHH's dominance throughout the 2004-2005 year and before then as well.
We see a detailed promo which hypes Batista and Triple H's feud, dating back to the Evolution days, and then WrestleMania and up to tonight.
World Heavyweight Championship Match Batista (c) def. Triple H w/Ric Flair @ 16:26
Even though he was battered much, Ric Flair came out and managed Triple H. Batista got the biggest pop of the night, before they had a staredown, and exchanged words, before Triple H slapped Batista in the face. Batista reigned some punches and then a clothesline over the ropes. HHH landed on his feet. Batista went to get him, but HHH did a stop and elbowed Batista in the face. He rolled in the ring, but while he was on the apron, Ric Flair delivered a low blow. Allowing Triple H to pull him in, and nail a rope-hung Pedigree! The fans it was over, this early on, but Batista got a rope break at two. Triple H nailed Batista with stomps and punches and knees, just whatever way he could inflict pain, before soon, Batista hit an out of nowhere spinebuster, and shook the ropes signaling for the Batista Bomb, but as he planned to do it, Triple H low blowed him, and hits the head/knee smash followed by a vicious clothesline. Triple H threw Batista to the turnbuckle, and brought him up, attempting a Pedigree from the second rope. Batista fought out, and eventually dove off the top, taking Triple H with him, with the crossbody. Batista was getting up, as was Triple H who was distracting the referee, while Flair was getting his brass knuckles out, the ones he used to beat Benoit. Speaking of Benoit, Benoit raced down the ramp, and tackled Flair to the ground, delivering massive strikes to him. Triple H takes the brass knuckles, and swings, but ducks, allowing Batista to kick Triple H in the gut and nail a quick Batista Bomb, making sure he wasn't hit. He takes them off of Triple H, and then hits a second Batista Bomb, with alot of power to it, as he drops down and covers, as Benoit watches.
Batista beats his chest, and admires his first World Heavyweight Title defense. Benoit has gotten revenge, as he leaves a bit angry. Batista stands tall to end the PPV.[/font]

WWE Backlash: Sunday 1st May 2005...Hot opening contest to the pay-per-view, I am glad that this diary has made a return. Shelton Benjamin beating Chris Jericho was obviously the better decision, the WWE Intercontinental Championship successfully defended. Can't wait to see what else Shelton will do in his reign as champion. Could see him as a classic fighting champion, honestly. William Regal and Tajiri beating Christian and Tyson Tomko was the better decision, nice filler match with the World Tag Team Championships defended successfully. Wondering how you could make the tag team division better. Lita beating Trish Stratus, Victoria and Christy Hemme is fine, too shot a match though at 2:57. Should have been much longer. Ric Flair and Chris Benoit was a solid match, the submission stipulation was fitting and I loved the cheap finish win for Flair against Benoit. The match may have been boring to some, however. Muhammad Hassan beating Shawn Michaels; not too fond of that. It's a big rub for Hassan, but HBK looks weak, also after losing to Kurt Angle at WrestleMania 21. Edge beating Kane was likely, correct length. Not really that interesting a match, really. Batista beating Triple H was expected in a solid main event World Heavyweight Championship defense. Overall, it was a decent pay-per-view. I'm glad, because your booking has been known to be extremely gimmicky. This had the correct format and style to it.

Great choice for an opener. A credible title match with energetic, face-paced superstars to get the crowd going is usually always best. Very happy to see Benjamin retain. Sounded like the match got a decent amount of time which I'm happy with. Great booking.
Hmm. Not sure I like the Hassan promo, mostly because it doesn't reflect his character. He wasn't trying to prove that any nation was greater than another, just that he was sick of being mistreated in American and demanded equality. You make him appear in the way that wasn't intended and that ran a great risk to him being thrown off air (which he ultimately was).
I always loved the pairing of Regal and Tajiri, so I'm ok with them retaining the Tag Team belts. However, I think the better long-term booking decision would have been to put them on Christian and Tomko, who were a hot pairing at this point. Would have liked to have seen this match get a little more more time.
Nice little Triple H interview. I think you got the point across.
Lita winning the title is great additional material for her pairing with Kane. However, 2:57? This match would definitely have been on longer than this, especially on pay-per-view.
Flair/Benoit in a Submissions Match would have been awesome, and definitely something I would have watched intently. I don't agree with Flair going over. He should definitely be putting Benoit over here. It's not believable for a near 60-year old man to put on a 20 minute match against a much younger opponent and win. Also, "jumping around and celebrating his victory" doesn't really reflect something Flair would do, especially after such a gruelling match. I'd expect both men to be a heap on the mat.
Hassan over Michaels is ok. I like that Daivari was involved in the finish because it doesn't completely put down Michaels here. Not liking all these "jumping around" celebration victories. Love the Hogan save. As long as the feud goes the right way and doesn't completely bury everyone around Hogan, I'm fine with it.
Nice win for Edge. Probably would have expected Kane to snap after the match, but I'm expecting some sort of development on RAW.
Batista over Triple H is predictable. HATE the fact Flair was out there following his match with Benoit, not to mention it draws away from the one-on-one rematch aspect of Batista/Triple H. He's not needed out there. His interference makes Triple H look weaker. Further interference from Benoit and the subsequent "miscommunication" takes away from Batista's victory, like he can't beat Triple H on his own. Not what you want your champion to look like. I don't know where you'll go from this point.
