I opted for Lone Star which was in the same time slot and I was very impressed by that pilot but I did DVR The Event, so I'll probably check it out tomorrow.

Who else watched this mind of a show? NBC could have something. I literally said, "the ?" at the end of the episode...good work

Seemed ok so far. To be honest, I was a bit let down. I am hoping it picks up though. For an opener, it seemed a little flat.

I missed it, I was hoping to catch it because it looks very interesting. Is there any way I can catch it again?

I was interested the first two or three times I saw the commercial, but now I'm happy it debuted so I don't have to see the commercial again.

It was alright. I was interested in what it was going to be about and the first episode essentially just leads us into the next still with minimal knowledge as to what's really going on. I'll give it a go one more time next week to see if it's something I really want to invest my time in.

So was the cliffhanger the Event? because it was saying 23 minutes earlier.
i liked it, needed a replacement for lost but all these ___ minutes/hours/days/months earlier confused the hell outta me, but itll obviously fit together over time.

It wasn't bad, it was directed well and the production was fantastic which gives it a mini-series vibe. I don't know if it's built for longevity but I'm definitely intrigued thus far. I'll probably continue to DVR it and instead watch Lone Star at 9.

I think the event is basicly what that girl hadn't told President Ramirez yet. Like, the event is how they started or something.

It was o.k. I've never really liked the whole "more questions than answers at the end of every episode" vibe, and this one had it in abundance. I'll tune in for the next episode at least, can't say if I'll become a repeat watcher though.

Finally watched it myself. Not a bad alternate to, IMHO, the best show ever, Lost. We'll see if it picks up the pace and starts moving forward a little.
