It was a crappy time slot, MNF, Dancing with the stars, NBC's super hyped The Event among other misc. programs that people watch. I think the fact that it did get 3 to 4 million viewers considering what it was up against was a success, but then again I'm not a network executive.
It'd be nice if they could sell it or allow another station to pick it up.
