EA MMA > Undisputed in my opinion, just a much smoother game. Getting clean KO's feels like an accomplishment unlike in Undisputed when i literally yawn when I finish a fight lately. Subs are a lot better, chokes take some getting used to but I think i have them down on medium difficulty. Putting together 4-5 strike combos, mixing with leg kicks and body punches just feels so much better. Not to mention you actually stand a chance when you're rocked.

I feel the ea mma game is very arcade styleish while undisputed is a little more realistic. Ea mma has grown on me, but ill have to rent it before buying

The walk outs were cool. Would have liked full entrances with the cutman and such, but I'll take what they give after the UFC games having nothing. But the gameplay..
it was not fun. I played like 3 fights then deleted the demo. The punching system is terrible. I couldn't defend any takedowns, or essentially anything. I got a few chokeholds off of takedowns, which was cool, but the overall frustrating nature of the game kills it. I could barely do any strikes at all, and the strikes I did throw generally seemed to come out of luck and not anything I did. I won't be spending anything more than $10 or so on this..

It honestly seems like a lot of you guys aren't giving the game a fair shake. Go through the tutorial mode, it really helps even if the tutorial pops up after you've done something rather than before. I spent quite a while in tutorial just trying to hash things out. Once I got the hang of things I really enjoyed my time with the demo.
I also recommend playing in "classic" control configuration, it controls almost exactly like Undisputed.
Overall the game isn't perfect, no game is, but I do think that it's worth a purchase. There's just so much in the full game that was left out of the demo. I'm actually really hoping this game kicks UFC's ass, that way we'll get some competition going and competition breeds creativity.

The game is great.
You just need to be ready for the takedowns, time them right, and you'll be fine. The punching takes time to get used to.

It's such a shame that it's dreadful, because it was one of my most anticipated games of the year. yea like honestly, i cancelled my preorder on it.

I find everyone's lack of faith disturbing. I've been having some incredible fights lately, far more fun than UFC 2010, and this is against the ing AI and their takedown spamming which has reportedly been fixed. I'm definitely picking this one up, I think it's going to produce far more hits than misses.

^ you gotta understand what we mean when saying it's almost an arcade style game though.

I thought so too until I stopped playing as Overeem and started playing on Legend difficulty.
I've had some incredibly technical fights playing Shields versus Mayhem on Legend.
Punch spamming with Overeem can still get the KO in like fifteen seconds, but that doesn't mean that the entire game is arcade-like. Certain aspects of Undisputed 2010 were arcadey too.
