I was just trying to say that his size, strength and speed win him fights more so than his actual skill. So his god given abilities and talent win him fights...got it. That sure sounds odd, no? Now I know why small, slow and weak people lose so many fights. Did you even read what I wrote? No. I said his size, strength and speed win him fights more so than his actual skill.

No. I said his size, strength and speed win him fights more so than his actual skill.I was being extremely sarcastic. Of course his size, speed and strength are helping him win fights. You're acting as if that's a bad thing. You're discrediting his given attributes. If you're an extremely strong, agile natural athlete, are you supposed to NOT use that to your advantage? Especially in this scenario where he's STILL learning new things every day? That's just ridiculous. I like Brock Lesnar. He's not my favorite fighter, but I really enjoy watching him fight and always anticipate his next fight. If you don't like him that's fine...but to say he's "over rated" is just ridiculous. The guy is 6 fights into an MMA career in which most fighters are still considered a novice. Lesnar on the other hand, is the UFC Heavyweight Champion. On top of that, he's beaten 2 of the top 10 HW in the world and Randy Couture. Not bad for a guy that has "little skill" as you like to put it.

lesnar silenced the critics with his win over carwin, as far as i'm concerned (rather he was shaken in the fight or not).

It's not a bad thing he uses them, I'm glad he does, my thing is how his fans overrate him to be the "toughest SOB in the UFC", "baddest man on the planet" or "The best fighter ever" etc..... I really have nothing against Brock except for his ego, hell I enjoy watching him fight just because you don't know what he will do next.

While I'm on the Pro-Brock side, let's not forget in all fairness that Carwin was gassed before the second round even started. It's a lot easier taking down someone, passing, and getting a submission if they barely have enough steam to keep standing.

IMO, Brock's best display of stand-up was against Couture, and even then he was a little slower getting shots off. He clipped him with that big elbow, as well as the punch that knocked Couture down, but not much beyond that.

Couture isn't much of a striker himself. He has always been a wrestler.

Wasn't much of a punch, but that one grounded elbow seemed pretty bad.

The first few seemed pretty hard IMO. He just ran out of gas. If anything else Brock showed he has a very stragetic mind when it comes to fighting.
Which some people do lack. Not saying Cain does though. I think this will be a great fight. If Brock goes in there and leans on him and puts weight on Cain there should be little to no reason Brock wins.
He is going to have to grind this one out though...
Also... I know it is the wrong place..but.. why is Nelson fighting Carwin... Should'nt Mir be Higher up than Nelson?

Brock was breathing heavy with Couture. Cain has shown he can go 3 full rounds at full speed. It's obvious he has the cardio advantage.

...did you just seriously quote a sherdog thread? My god. Now you're reaching. As many actually replied in that thread, he chose GIFs of a few select attempts that didn't work. I'm sure I can find GIFs of Anderson Silva missing on strikes...does that mean he's not one of the best pure strikers in MMA? Also mentioned in that thread is what many have said quite a bit -- has Brock taken down every opponent he's faced? Yes. End of story. Like I said before...to say Brock is over rated is just ridiculous. People are calling him the "Baddest Man On The Planet" because they're big fans. I don't think anyone TRULY thinks he's the best P4P fighter in MMA. To say, and honestly believe, that he's not a great wrestler though (even wrestler as translated into MMA) is just being biased against him for no real apparent reason. With that said, I STILL think Cain wins this fight. (which I've said since Cain was supposed to fight Carwin. I then said Brock would beat Carwin, and then Cain would beat Brock.) Now we'll just have to wait and see.
