I'm getting an xbox360 for my birthday in 2 weeks.
Always been a Playstation guy, so can you guys recommend some games.
Oh and Xbox live, whats the deal with that? How do you set it up, is it free etc.

X box Live is not free. £15 for a 3 month card or £35 for a 12 month card, give or take a £ for each depending on what store you use. If it's the new 360 slim, it has built in wireless, so it'll be far easier to set up.
Games? depends what genre of games you like.

for games, if you have been a PS guy then try out halo reach, if your not into that sort of stuff then get fifa or something. like said above its what you like

I'm not that fussed about the genre, except army games, like call of duty, i dont like craplike that
and the 360 i'm getting isnt the slim one

Though I would recommend the Mass Effect games first I'll try to list a few that haven't been named so far,
Condemned
Hitman Blood Money
Rainbow Six Vegas 1 & 2

Could you give an example or two of what you consider a game in each of those groups to be? |

Adventure - FF13
Arcade - Sonic etc.

For fighting I'd look at Super Street Fighter 4 or BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger.

Vigilante 8 Arcade is pretty awesome. Dead Rising 2: Case Zero is about the best $5 I've ever spent on a video game
