I went to a flea market type store earlier today and stubbled upon some of those figures produced by Figures, Inc., Legends of Professional Wrestling. I picked up 16 out of the 24 figures in the set. What's everyone's opinion on these figures? Example:

They were great for the time that they were made in but now that Jakks has made many of them in the Classic line they arn't really considered all that good.

Some are pretty good. My favorites are : Volkoff, Shiek, Kamala, Abby and Greg Valentine. These days they sell for as little as $ 2- $ 3 each. IMO they're definitely worth picking up.

They were really cool when it looked like a lot of those guys wouldn't have figures otherwise. Then Jakks decided it was a good idea and the Classic Superstars line was born. Still, I like the Iron Sheik and Kamala figures and they make an interesting figure to pick up at a real affordable price. Still could end up being the only way to get figures of guys like Eddie Gilbert and Ox Baker, who will likely never be part of the CS lineup.

Agreed totally. Not the best figures as far as likeness or quality goes by far, but can be picked up for next to nothing and make a nice change from the standard Jakks or Toybiz efforts.

they were nice at the time because if you were a collector of signed figures, most of the guys didnt have anything else to get signed. now with classics, they blow!

Agreed, the bloody variants were pretty stupid.
I think they were good for their time, and still good for an incredibly cheap wrestling figure fix, but the CS line has completely eclipsed this series.
