Hate. There are many people who love others but yet they still can do something that can hurt that person. If you hate someone, it is very hard to change that, and odds are you will never look out for them.

Can't really go one way or the other, it's all circumstantial. If you put a bad person in a position to manifest their hate, they'll do something bad. If you put a good person in a position to make a self-sacrifice for other people, they'll do something great.
It just seems easier to be a dick than it is to be a truly good person. You get more opportunities to do something negative in your daily life, and good deeds tend to receive less attention.

I'm gonna say love. I think that people just react a lot more different towards something they love as opposed to something they hate. It's easier for a person (see: Me) to repress their feelings of hate towards something than it is to repress their feelings of love. I'd gladly do anything for someone I love.

I think both are equally strong and can drive a person to do things that they would never do under normal conditions.
So I'm going to say that love and hate and equal and actually keep each other in balance.
