(Sorry for another post but.. news!)
Inoki's new IGF is teasing a Kurt Angle vs. Josh Barnett "IWGP" title match to headline the promotion's second show on 9/8 in Nagoya.
The Great Muta & Tajiri will face Scott Steiner & Kohei Suwama at All Japan's Ryogoku Kokugikan event on 8/26 in Tokyo. The show will also feature Kensuke vs. Suzuki for the Triple Crown title.
TNA wrestler AJ Styles will be working King Booker's next PWA show in Pasadena, TX on 8/31.
TNA wrestler BG James was booked for the 7/21 show, but called at the last minute to say that there was a family emergency. It's being said that James told Booker that he had a 102 degree temperature and that he promised to make up the date.
Bill Behrens, who handles outside talent bookings for TNA talent, told Booker that he would send someone in his place. Booker felt that it wasn't worth paying for a star and a last second flight for someone who wasn't advertised.
Damaja (Dan Basham) missed the 7/2 iMPACT! taping as he never got a plane ticket to fly to Orlando, but TNA apparently still had an angle for him. He never called anyone including Doug Basham, and at this point, may already been done with the company.
It was reported last week that the former TNA tag team 'The Naturals' would be getting a tryout match with WWE at the September 17th Raw in Nashville, TN. However, the deal may have fallen through as one source claimed that when WWE heard that Andy Douglas (the dark-haired one) had announced the tryout on his MySpace page, WWE either nixed it or told him to remove it immediately. Chase Stevens, the blonde-haired one, is said to be really angry about this. The message has since been removed from Douglas' MySpace, so there's definitely something to the story.
