Northern Ireland is part of the UK. I know that. But thats not what you said. I didn't realize N. Ireland and S. Ireland were separate and the OP didn't clarify that he was from S.I. at first anyway.

I've always been hated on for saying "Comparing Ireland to Northern Ireland is like comparing USA to Mexico" I still think it's true though.
