Does anyone else get bothered when the wrestler's say the term "WWE Universe"? It's so corny and forced. I cringe when I hear that term. To be honest, I don't think the fans in the audience are even attached to that term as much as they should. When a wrestler brings up the term to get a pop, it gets a decent yet half ass pop.
I think they invented that slogan a couple of years ago, and even then it just didn't feel right. Now it seems like almost every wrestler or announcer brings up that slogan every week on every show...
If you guys loved it or hated it when it was first created, do you still feel the same way now? Idk...discuss

Its annoying. They are just fans. Call them fans, WWE doesnt have its own universe. its pompus things like this that keep it from being taken seriously by other entertainment outlets.

I like it, I think it's a really cool way to refer to WWE fans.

Would be better if it had a better name but it's too long and so forced by nearly everyone.

I dont like the term either and it kinda makes me cringe, same with Superstars and Divas to be honest. But the worst of all was when the ECW guys were "Extremists",urgh.

But Superstars and Divas make me ![::)](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/rolleyes.gif) . I absolutely hate the term 'WWE Universe'. Makes me sick, IDK why I have such a hate towards that term, it's so superficial to me.

Anyone who really has that much of a problem with it, to where you say "It makes me cringe" or "It makes me sick when I hear it" - I just have this to say. You are taking it WAY too seriously. It's a decent term, and **EVERYONE** calls people "fans". It's nice to be recognized as something other than the general "fan". Like Lady GaGa, and the Little Monsters. She hates the word "fan" so she coined a name for hers. And besides, it's better than TNA, referring to their fans as cast members. I dunno - and to be honest, I don't really care - if they still call them that, but they were at one point referred to as cast members.

I still can't stand it. And it's constantly forced down our throats. Why do you need to brand the audience? "WWE fans" is fine.

I see a difference in it from wrestler to wrestler. When Barrett used it this Monday, it sounded fine and felt like it was part of his promo. If you look at Bret Hart a couple of months back, every time he used it, it sounded awful and so forced. They just don't need to put it in every promo.

I do get kind of annoyed, but only because every wrestler brings it up in every promo. They're trying to force the term down our throats it seems...and I'm not taking to it.

Vince McMahon hates the universe, so he created one where he gets to control everything in it, therefore you have the WWE Universe. Sounds stupid, I know.
