I like Wayne and hate Nirvana, so if he wants to cover or rap over their songs fine. Atleast it might make me want to listen to it.

Clearly you don't listen to rap music and have no intention of doing so in the future. Your bias is pretty obvious so there's no way you were going to like anything involving Lil Wayne, much less a remix involving your precious Nirvana. I understand it's cool to be a rock elitist on this board and blindly hate on all things Lil Wayne, but you should at least try to make an intelligent argument. All I was saying was that to me it sounded okay. Not the best thing I've ever heard, but far from the worst. At the very least it's an interesting juxtaposition of musical genres that I'm curious to hear more of. Yup. I listen to Rap Music/Hip Hop. But only the good actual hip hop, not the fake, autotune, voice editing crap. when artist like Lil Wayne, who's music has basically been sounding bad since 2005, don't bother to try to make his music any better, but just ruin other artists music, then basically becomes a fool. That's something you just don't do, experiment as an artist? Sure, but experiment with your own music. Don't go and take another bands music, slap it into instrumental and add it to your lyrics. If he's wanting grunge, he needs to strap a bass and electric around his shoulders, grab some drumsticks and make some grunge music. That would make him look like a real artist, and be more respected, if he can't do so, he should find a musician around that can. There just isn't a point in doing what he's doing. It'll be interesting to see what the outcome is of this, best thing that can happen is his fanboys search around for the original songs hes screwing up, and start getting into some actual music.Couple things, just to play devil's advocate: 1) Hasn't been good since 2005? Funny you mention it, because most of the verses on these tracks are pre-Carter II (2005 and prior). 2) If you think he's "ruining" other people's music, perhaps you should remember that he has to clear the samples with the bands themselves first. Sellouts much? 3) He has already tried to play guitar himself. 4) He didn't make this. He's in prison right now and some DJ took old verses and put them on top of mixes he created on his own. Cool off with the hate.

Cool off with the hate. 1. Even pre-2005 he didn't have any special hits besides " GO DJ " that was really interesting and even that got annoying after the radio over played it.
2. He can approve them from the bands ( even though Nirvana, & Blind Melon basically aren't here anymore ) all he wants, that don't stop the fact that it sucks & he's the one selling out.
3. If he can play guitar, why is he bothering to ruin music? He can't play the guitar?
4. If he's not making this and is in prison, then what is the point with this whole post? Just to show how terrible Lil Wayne sounds ? & then show how terrible he sounds while ruining legendary music.?

Didn't see you complaining so much when Eminem ruined the legendary music of Haddaway by sampling "What Is Love" in his latest single. Ya precious Marshall's clearly a sell-out.

The song would have been great, that is.. If Lil Wayne would have not been involved. He ruins music. Eminem is 140,000 times better than Lil Wayne will ever be. Simple as that. Eminem is a classic legendary hip hop musician, him remixing classic songs is something that makes sense, because he knows how to do so, Lil Wayne on the other hand, just is a current hip hop artist that is making music that sounds like garbage. We don't even have many hip hop artist today, Drake? That's the other one, Eminem finally brought some talent back into the game. If this was 10 years ago, Lil wayne would just hang his mic up, if we still had artist like Tupac, Wu-Tang Clan, etc.. Continuing to put music out today, Hip Hop would be completely different and better. It's something that is slowly dieing, Hip Hop today has, well, I should say Rap today, is turning into something completely different than what it's suppose to be.

Sampling is sampling, regardless of who it's by and what's being sampled. If you argue that Lil Wayne using samples means he's a sell-out, then the same logic must be applied to Eminem, regardless of your love for him. Sampling is sampling.

Hip Hop involves a lot of sampling. But there is a limit. Would the limit be one that involves someone you don't like sampling your precious Nirvana? No, the limit would be when they can't make good music anymore, so they try and try and do stupid things such as bringing Rap & Grunge together. Why argue on this? Even " hardcore " Lil Wayne fans, should have somewhat some common sense and know that this is a dumb idea, will it sell? Probably so, because of the world we live in today, but should it sell? No because it sounds like garbage.

And they aren't sheep who are just buying into everything he does, it seems that they legitimately enjoy it. I'm not a huge fan of this whole thing, but if someone else can find enjoyment in it, more power to them.

Let's now put The Beatles & Michael Jackson in with some Drake music while were at it, hell, maybe Kanye West could even help. ![;)](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/wink.gif)

I'd be nothing short of shocked if there wasn't 10+ rappers who rapped over one of their songs, for every 1 who has rapped over a Nirvana or Pearl Jam song.
