Or we can compare Classic Rudes scan aka Ravishing Rick Poodle to Mattels superior job on L2 Rude.

really? Jakks Rick Rude scan was amazing. One of the best in the Classic Line. You do know that Rude had hair just like that right? His short hair only came along later in his career.
I mean we can get into an all our war of who has the better scans, but seriously one of Jakks strongest points was that they made some amazing & realistic looking heads.
Mattel has nailed a few for sure (Elite Miz, DiBiase, Mark Henry to name a few) but most of them suffer from weird looks or bad painting. I love Mattel's WWE figures, but there is no way they beat Jakks in comparing headscans.

Jakks aced most of their headscans with the exception of a few like that infamous HHH head, Ted Dibiase, Evan Bourne.
Some people say they don't like screaming headscans but truth was that ppl like Cena or Angle were famous for their screaming headscans especially in pics or magazine covers.
If u want blaise, boring, straightfaced or goofy scans, then look at Mattel's Jericho, Miz, Cena, Cody Rhodes, Ted Dibiase, MVP, earlier CM Punk, basic Goldust, etc. Even Mattel's basic Taker scan is average.
HBK's scans for his basic, elite and EG is also average.
Mattel's scans of Morrison, Swagger, Tommy Dreamer were terrible, to name but a few.
But they have also done well on ppl like Santino, Chavo, elite Orton, Vladimir, Kelly Kelly, Mr Perfect, Iron Sheik, etc.
Mattel's British Bulldog scan is so-so, not as good as Jakks' CDSA one and their Pillman was downright bad.

Chip, I obviously wasn't born yesterday, and are well aware. If anything the only thing Mattel did wrong was GIVE Rude short hair, as I prefer Rude's longer hair. But if an asian Burt Reynolds is what Rude looked like, than I assure you, JAKKS hit the nail right on the head. Hair aside, Rude's face is Mattel is much more realistic.
I will agree with you on one thing, that Mattel does fail to have proper painting on SOME figures. They slide some through production with paint chips or lingering hair lines/eyebrows. But I always examine my figure MOC before I just run to a register. I have NO complaints about the figures I own, you just gotta look for the right one. Though I agree with you on that, even if it came down to debates upon who's headscans were better.. between my opinion and any other it would be at MOST a 50/50 argument. To say JAKKS has FAR superior or better headscans is crazy. I will also add though in your defense teamgoldie, Morrisons Basic headscan is perhaps the most ridiculous headscan of all time next to the obviously infamous Trips headscan we got in what felt like every series from ra21 on.
