After thinking it through, I'm actually going to call BS on this whole 1/4 of a penny thing. If Kamala got 1/4 of 1 cent for every doll, and his doll sold a million dolls (it didn't), he would have received $2,500. I can guarantee you that Kamala got more than $2,500 for his LJN doll.
Remember, Kamala is also the same guy who claimed the Undertaker got $500,000 for his match at Summerslam '92. $500,000. For one match that you could argue wasn't even the third biggest match on the card. In 1992. I love Kamala and I love seeing the legends treated well but I don't think the big man knows his math.

I remember reading in Shawn Michaels books saying something similar to what Kamala is saying here that the Rockers were being used for merchandise but not getting paid for much of it

I recall watching the RF shoot interview of Shawn Michaels. He also said something about how they were doing a phote shoot for wheaties cereal box. Each single wrestler such as Beetcake, Bossman and a few others were getting paid $5,000. However the Rockers only got paid $2,500 each cuz they are a tag team. They were upset but they said ok. But the Road Warriors were getting paid $5,000 each. Rockers were upset and MJ called Vince blowing up and asking for his release. This is what was one of the problems that lead to the Rockers spliting up, amoung other things. According to Michaels, Marty was a real hot head and would blow up before trying to talk something over. He took a flame thrower to a problem before trying to threw water on it. That is another story of wrestlers not getting there money, however Shawn talked to vince and vince agreed it to pay the other $2,500 with out a problem.

What I don't understand is that I've seen just about every piece of merchandise the WWF ever released and never have come across these famed Wheaties boxes or any merch that has the combination of people involved. I think Shawn is BS'ing a bit here, too. |

It wasn't Wheaties, it was the WWF cereal. They exist. Though I don't recall a Beefcake one, Bossman and the others I do remember though.

The most ironic thing about this is that Vince's doll was misspelled "McMann". I wonder what Vince thought about the typo and how much he got paid for his doll.
