WWE Universe Mode – Week One
Zack Ryder def. Vladamir Kozlov
The first match of the week saw these two combatants open RAW. Vlad dominated very early on but eventually Ryder slipped away from a headbutt and nailed the Zack Attack for the victory.
Shawn Michaels def. The Miz
The United States Champion, The Miz had a chance to elevate himself even further up the card with a victory here but his ego got in the way because after arguing with the referee over a decision he turned around straight into Sweet Chin Music.
Eve def. Alicia Fox
Your typical divas match to warm up the crowd for the main event but it wasn’t very exciting at all and in the end Eve’s moonsault helps move her closer to a title match with Melina.
Edge def. Triple H in a Tables Match
Randy Orton, the WWE Champion, walked down to ringside for the main event. Edge and Triple H battled around the tables with some very close calls for a match finish. The real finish saw A Table set-up, leaned against a corner and on the opposite side of the ring Triple H hit Edge with a Spinebuster. Edge staggered around in front of the table and Triple H tried to run Edge into it but Edge ducked, turned and speared the Game through the table for the victory. After the match, Randy Orton climbed in a nailed Edge with an RKO.
JTG def. Chavo Guerrero
A nice opener for superstars between two superstars that have been lost in the mix. Chavo’s missed Frog Splash ultimately cost him the match as JTG rolled the Mexican into a small package for the victory.
Maryse and Alicia Fox def. Melina.
This was originally Melina vs. Alicia Fox until Maryse jumped out a joined the match, ruining Melina’s chances as Maryse put her away with a French Kiss after a blindtag on Alicia Fox.
Tyson Kidd, John Cena and Randy Orton def. David Hart Smith, John Morrison and Mark Henry
This match was relatively one sided with Randy Orton and John Cena giving their team a big advantage. John Morrison fought hard for his team but in the end Mark Henry took the fall after an Attitude Adjustment from John Cena as Tyson Kidd and Randy Orton took out Henry’s partners.
Matt Hardy def. Vance Archer
A good opening match tonight, pretty close too. Vance Archer was an absolute beast for a portion of this match almost decapitating Matt Hardy with a big boot. In the end, Matt Hardy countered Archer’s finisher to nail the Twist of Fate and secure a three count.
Michelle McCool def. Kelly Kelly and Beth Phoenix
McCool divas championship is currently being hunted by the two ladies that faced her on this show as they’re the only two Divas on SmackDown. Beth was dominating but Michelle took her out with the Women’s Title Belt allowing her to finish Kelly off with the Faithbreaker.
Jack Swagger def. Rey Mysterio
Swagger picked up a shocking win against the World Heavyweight Champion tonight as the Masked Luchadore narrowly missed out on pinning the All-American American. Swagger lifted Rey for the Gutwrench Powerbomb only for Rey to reverse it into a Hurricanrana and swing round for the 619. Once again a counter was made as Swagger ducked the 619 and rolled him into a package to win the match.
The Undertaker def. CM Punk
The main event of SmackDown saw the two biggest contenders
for the World Heavyweight Championship square off. Punk seemed intimidated by the much stronger Undertaker but he soon got over that as adrenaline took over. The finish in this one saw Punk leap from the top rope straight into a chokeslam as the Undertaker taunted a Tombstone, Undertaker hoisted up the Second City Saint and dropped him with the Piledriver for the pinfall victory.

Those were some actually realistic results. Cena and Orton on Superstars is the only thing that puzzled me but keep it up.

I'm not familiar with 2011; but from what I've heard - you don't have control of the matches, do you? you do, but I'm going with the ones they give me to a certain extent. |
