Stub Hub, Ticketmaster, TicketsNow they're all in bed with each other, it's a conspiracy to screw the ticket buying public, and the arenas, event promoters, and sports ogranizations are in on it too. The ticket industry is a huge racket, one that should be investigated by the government.

While I agree that some brokers take it too far, and some people certainly charge prices that are way too high, the general public has plenty of opportunity to get tickets as well. As long as you keep yourself informed as to when the on-sale dates are, you shouldn't have a problem getting tickets to things, and usually some pretty decent ones at that if you know how to work the system.
I'm not saying there isn't shady business that goes on within the ticket industry, because there certainly is. I've seen it first hand from brokers I've dealt with, but I think a lot of people would be surprised to see how little influence brokers actually have on the first party suppliers.
I know that StubHub works closely with major sports teams, particularly the MLB (in fact, even the Red Sox signed over a deal with them this year, they had previously been a hold out), but I think you'll find that the majority of their stock for concerts and events like WWE come from either brokers, or the general public.

I've been to 4 events, 1 televised & the other 3 were house shows. I've managed to get pretty lucky as far as row numbers are concerned. And to answer your other question, I just get them at the arena's local box office. Hope that helps somewhat.

Radio show contest. I refuse to pay $70+ for front rows when $25 dollar tickets are good enough.

I've gotten 1st row on Ebay and 2nd row through a presale. I think it's just luck because even when I was getting my Rumble tix through the presale I got 4th row to come up and that was for 3 people - of course that would happen only because I wasn't looking for floor seats.
But I think if you want to guarantee that you get within the first few rows then go to the arena.
