Cannot wait!! OMG! Hopefully going to the midnight launch, as CC said above. Wait....I work 2 doors down from the GameStop where mine is pre-ordered. Of course I'm going to the midnight launch!!
I just went back and re-read the Game Informer cover article from March 2010 on this game....I cannot wait for the next 12 hours to pass.

I have this pre-ordered for friday after my mum offered to purchase it. I originally planned to buy it after my exams finished but now I don't know if I'll have the willpower to let it sit there while I revise. I'm thinking I'll end up doing hour revision, hour L.A. Noire, hour revision, hour L.A. Noire etc.

Interesting review. I guess I expected a higher rating with all of the hype that has gone into this ,but 8.5 is certainly still a great rating.
Sounds exactly like the kind of game I'll get into. Heavy Rain is one of, if not my favorite game of all time, and this sounds as though it has a lot of those elements wrapped into it.
Still can't decide what platform I want to get it for, though.

I'm about 80% confident that my local KMart will have no idea what the awesome deal is for LA Noire and I'm about 90% confident they won't even have it on the shelf. It wasn't until I brought it up that they actually put Kinect on the shelves.

I'll be getting this for ps3 since I heard that it has less "hiccups" than the 360 version and I prefer it to be on one disc. Apparently you can play the game in black and white which is cool. I plan on turning off all assists during investigations.

Well the assists are the controller vibrating when close to a clue, or that musical chime when you get close, etc. I'm turning all those off so I can figure things out myself.

I couldn't find anything about it mentioned on their site, though, so I called my local K-Mart to confirm before I wasted a trip there tomorrow. They know absolutely nothing about the deal. The guy I spoke with put me on hold and a manager came back and asked me where I saw it from. She said if it's not on K-Mart.com, they won't honor it. Looks like I saved myself a trip. EDIT: On a side note, I'm still completely torn as to which console I want it on. Sounds like the PS3 version is the winner here, but something about having 3 disks seems so cool to me. I know a lot of people hate it, but it feels so much bigger even if it's a completely false advantage I've created in my head. That, and I much prefer 360 achievements to PS3 trophies. Decisions, decisions. |

The deal at K-Mart should go through the majority of them are done right on the machine when you pay so you don't even need to tell them about it. Last couple of times I've got a game from them with a deal and they ring it up and it comes up they look completely confused because they had no idea about it. If whatever reason it doesn't do it automatically though you should be able to print off the above and show them it or email the guy that does the blog and he usually fixes it quite quickly.
