It won't end before it's 25th season (or it's 25th anniversary as WWE would say).
I could easily see it going to Season 30.

Good. We got past the dreadful years and have gotten to the point of pretty awesome episodes here and there...spread out, but still...I'm all for it.

ugh... terrible news. the show has sucked since about series 10/11. but at this point it doesn't really matter. the legacy of the simpsons has already been wrecked beyond rescue. it's just been milked and milked, the writers have just totally run out of decent ideas, and the quality is awful now, the show has just been dragged through the dirt and it's reputation has been ruined.
their "longest running animated show" title is a joke. it's like giving an award to the biggest turd.

Great news. The Simpsons is just one of those things that should never die. And yet its something that should have died 15+ years ago. I wholeheartedly disagree. I still enjoy it. It isnt as great as it used to be, but theres still lots of fun episodes. |

Meh. This year even Tree House of Horror was pretty poor.
I think it's better to go out like Seinfeld where you leave them wanting more, instead of dragging it out until you've literally got nothing left to go with.

I am not totally against this. It hasn't been really superb for 10 years, but it's still churning out the odd good episode.

a kind-of buddy of mine was saying today how he hopes his kids one day get to watch new simpsons episodes, i believe from the perspective that he won't have any for years. shows you how most people think..and why this show has made it this long.

The day Simpsons ends is the day my life changes forever. I can't even fathom the thought of it not being around with new episodes. I'm not with the people who say it was bad after such-and-such season or even that there was a "dark period." I can take something out of any Simpsons episode and be happy. Good news for me...
