EWRESTLINGNEWS.COM - ECW made its television return last night on the Sci-Fi network. The plan is to keep some original features of ECW, including the 'no rules' system, wanting it to differ from the usual Raw and SmackDown programs.
- Test (Andrew Martin) made his WWE return last night on ECW, taking out The Sandman following a segment with C.W. Anderson. Apparently, the WWE are hoping to push Test into a feud with The Sandman was part of "McMahon's Army" against ECW. He is also penciled in for a Main Event push, which could suggest an ECW Championship feud soon.
- Speaking of "McMahon's Army", the black superstar who interfered in the Main Event was Development Superstar, Elijah Burke. Apparently, it has been thought that he has been ready for quite some time, and this seems the most appropriate opportunity to get him on television, using ECW as a launch-pad for his young career.
- The promo package featuring the 'vampire' aired on ECW was reportedly hyping the debut of a new superstar, Kevin Fertig. For those who don't know, he portrayed Mordecai in 2004.

ECW on Sci-Fi: Sunday 16th June 2006...Odd that you decided to change the days for this show. This is the fourth show of yours I've replied to today, ahaha. Well written promo to kick off the show, and it was almost a recap of what happened at One Night Stand with Paul Heyman in the ring getting praised. Chris Benoit wanting an ECW Championship shot is nice, and I love how this happened. You should totally retain the 'anything can happen' scenario for every week of ECW on Sci-Fi. I don't really know why you had a heel turn for Psicosis with a promo, considering he's poor on the microphone and could have just turned heel without much reason. That pre-match promo was unnecessary. But that lucha libre opening contest was good, Psicosis with a mean streak is great. Please use the Guillotine Legdrop, it could definitely be a lethal move in the near future. Tommy Dreamer's promo was badly done, it got him over, just for Justin Credible to take all of his overness back in a match. I also doubt Justin would be permitted to use That's Incredible, since it's dangerous, and because the Undertaker uses it. CW Anderson here is nice, Sandman with a feud with Anderson looks promising. Test returning is good, looking forward to what this is between Anderson and Test. And lastly, great main event with the ECW Championship on the line between Rob Van Dam and Benoit. Also loved the RAW invasion again, Mr McMahon getting revenge. Overall, it was an explosive premiere for the show.
