Is Penn staying at WW for now on since Edgar is Champ? Edgar already has 2 fights lined up. He'll fight Maynard in January, THEN he'll fight the winner of Henderson/Pettis to unify the belts. He'll be busy.

"Penn vs Fitch will main event the Sydney card. It was booked immediately after Penn won tonight."

Fitch-vs-Penn? Penn better take it seriously and wreck s*it, cause I do NOT want to see Fitch laying on top of him for 3 rounds.

I liked seeing Penn's ferociousness tonight. It has been missing.

great, so in essence we get edgar/penn 3? Were just going to watch Fitch out-cardio Penn, like thats never happened before. Penn just needs to go back to his BJJ roots for this fight, because we all know its going to the ground.
I must say it will be pretty interesting though. Hopefully he gets a few wins so he can finally get his on GSP.

What a phenomenal showing by Penn. I ing love it. Just what he needed to silence the critics and throw his name back in the mix.

I really do belive that Rampage only just managed to win the first two rounds and Machida won the 3rd.
Dennis Siver vs George Sotiropoulos shall be one hell of a fight as will Penn and Fitch

He wanted to move back up to WW but Dana was determined to keep him at LW. Thus the change in performance, attitude...pretty much everything from the Edgar fights to the Hughes fight.

rampage dictated pace and cage control those first two rounds, it was 20-18 after 2. show me something otherwise in those first 2 rounds that say anything to the contrary... aside from the lyoto punch at the end of round 2 that made rampage slip, followed by the kick after the bell. round 3 was far and away lyotos... 10-8 couldve been argued to even it up. but still... the fights decision is not what should be questioned... the scoring system itself is what should be questioned. rampage slightly won both of the first two rounds, and little to no damage was done to either fighter... whereas round 3 was dominated, and considerable damage was done.

Machida landed 12 significant strikes in round 1, Rampage landed 5. Rampage MIGHT of had a case for a close round in round 2, but Machida still landed more significant shots. Not to mention round 3, when Machida lit him up with strikes and took him down, AND Mounted him.

Rampage won rounds 1 and 2. I thought it was quite obvious.
He was more aggressive...landed more shots (even though Machida landed more "significant" shots)...he got a takedown on Machida...pressed him up against the cage.
Round 3 was a huge round for Machida...but 1 round doesn't win you a fight.
I was VERY impressed by Rampage. He looked a lot better than I thought he would. I can't wait to see what is next for him. Winner of Forrest/Franklin or Bones/Bader would be fine with me...
...what is next for Machida though?

Funny, even Rampage still admits he lost. He told Machida "I'll give you a rematch, because I know I didn't deserve this win". Rampage was swinging and missing a lot. It's whatever. I still love Rampage, although I don't think he won. I thought it was pretty clear.
I'm quite sure Machida will fight the winner or loser of Griffin vs. Franklin.

I would be VERY interested in a rematch between Franklin and Machida. I think it would look a lot like their first fight but I'll never count Franklin out..
