Looks great! Your wrong though, all figures can stand on their own without stands! We don't need stands!

lol That sucks man. Though from the little bit I've seen of your small custom jobs, you seem like a resourceful guy. Beyond that, you said you weren't happy with the stands to begin with. Why not take a stab at making some sort of stand yourself? Could be a fun little project. I've been considering doing it for my loose UFC collection. They lack peg holes in the feet all together, so I have no choice in the matter if I want them to stand up.

Well, I have about 100 more figures that are not shown. This is the Elites and figures of people who dont have Elites yet.
I think Im just going to collect Legends now. Sell everything else, and use their stands for future Legends. This is not going to work for me. (unless Mattel starts selling stands)

I don't know about anyone else, but I never thought the stands added any stability to begin with. My two figures that are most notorious for crashing and burning are Elite Cody, and SDCC Taker, and regardless of the stand, they fall.
I don't really see how a teeny tiny little peg makes them all stand perfectly.

Kamala and Elite Swagger are the only two I can think of. I can't believe all of the fuss over the stands. I mean, would I rather have them than not? Of course. But is it worth all of this fuss? Personally, I don't think so.

I've got stands coming my way - but eventually my collection will be larger than the amount of stands I will be able to get. That's the problem. I just hope Mattel will be selling WWE stands soon.

i'm with juice on this one. i like the stands. given, i don't use them for all of my figs, but some just need 'em. it's not just the tiny peg, it's the fact that that tiny peg is attached to a stable base.
i'm a little bummed about some not having stands, but i have a few and i'll learn to work with what i have. most of them don't need them, and i use a compact display on a small shelf, so it does help to have them standing a little closer than the stands permit, but as i said before, some (elite chavo, elite batista) just NEED them.

Right, it's a tiny peg on a little display "stand" that plugs into a shallow hole on the bottom of one foot. When my two figures previously mentioned lean because of the ankles, they fall over regardless of being on the "stand". The "stands" have never helped them stand up right, it comes off like people really believe these bases magically make the figures not topple over. I think the term "stand" was meant to mean that they are meant to be displayed STANDing on them. A tiny peg isn't going to balance something much more top heavy with the size that it is.

I've always hated the stands. Waste of plastic, but ultimately GOOD figures should stand on their own with no problems.

I wouldn't sell them all just because Mattel stop making stands. Like Adambomb said the stands won't help balance your figures. I hope Mattel do sort out the leg problem in the future.

back to the tiny peg - i've noticed that either some pegs are smaller and/or some footholes (ew) are bigger. this can cause some to fall over, but the "stands" do not overturn. i guess we're just gonna have to agree to disagree on this one, but i'm all for the stands - maybe mattel can make them orderable through mattycollector.com (in sets of 5, 10 etc.) and have a printable template on their website for the nametags, that would be sweet. -if not, maybe the stand-haters could make theirs available on the classy-fieds for any of their fellow collectors who might want them...
sorry, wasn't there an extensive thread on this subject a week or so ago?
