Jim Ross: Hello everyone, thank you for tuning in tonight and thank you to those out in the audience. The reason we are starting the show at the interview station is because of an uproar. An uproar over who the new WCW CEO is. In fact, the entire roster of WCW has decided to boycott any further shows until Vince McMahon is replaced as CEO. Leading the charge against McMahon is my very own broadcast colleague Jesse Ventura. He has gotten all the wrestlers behind him and they promised to not wrestle or appear on camera here tonight. Jesse informed Turner Sports about this last Thursday and they have been in intense negotiations ever since. Jesse promised all the wrestlers would be here tonight in case Turner decides to replace McMahon. If that happens, he says the wrestlers will in fact come out and wrestle. It does not seem Jesse or the wrestlers are bluffing either. None of the wrestlers as I came out here tonight to do my job were in their wrestling gear. They are all sitting backstage watching this broadcast. Jesse and Dr. Schiller are currently meeting along with Vince McMahon and Eric Bischoff. Turner has come up with a fix for tonight in case the WCW wrestlers do not wrestle. We are here in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Turner has contacted local promoter Paul Heyman about using his wrestlers from his company, ECW, here tonight. He has agreed and if no agreement between Jesse and Turner work out, tonight, we will be showcasing ECW wrestling. Hopefully talks are productive and we can get this all settled before the big Pay Per View this Sunday. We are going to take a commercial and come back with some action.
Jim Ross: Welcome back ladies and gentleman, we are going to start things off with a tag team match.
Ron hit Grunge with a big boot that sent him to the outside then Don hit Rocco with a big boot. Ron and Don picked up Rocco and gave him a double chokeslam and pinned him for the win.
Jim Ross: I'm being told that Dr. Harvey Schiller will be out here after the next match and he will have an important announcement to make.
Tommy Dreamer hit a DDT to win the match.
Jim Ross: Welcome Dr. Schiller, I was told you have an announcement to make.
Harvey Schiller: Yes, I do Jim. Every wrestler who is contracted to WCW and is boycotting events will be in breach of their contract. We will fire you and we will sue you for damages. I am sorry that it has come to this, but that is my final decision.
Jesse Ventura: You certainly can't fire and sue every member of this roster, Harvey. Are you really going to risk everything over having Vince McMahon as CEO? We are ready to walk out of the building and never coming back. We will defy your order. Fire us all, we fight as one, we die as one.We will not be intimidated by your idle threats. We will not return to our duties until McMahon is gone.
Schiller: Jesse you think it is an idle threat? Well, Jesse, I'm sorry, but you are fired.
Ventura: Fine with me Schiller. See ya and I'm taking the guys with me. Have fun at your Pay Per View Sunday where you will have no one to wrestle for you. You know what, I feel like being generous. I have two last public offers to make you, if turned down, we walk and your Pay Per View Sunday will be void of any WCW employed wrestlers.
Schiller: What are they?
Ventura: Make me President of WCW so I can counteract anything McMahon does. You do that, the WCW wrestlers will be more than happy to come back to work.
Schiller: No.
Ventura: Then make a match. You have those ECW nobodies here so make them fight me. If I win, McMahon is gone and Eric Bischoff gets to chose the next CEO. If I lose, McMahon stays and the WCW wrestlers will come back to work immediately. I will take on anybody.
Schiller: Fine, I'll go pick an ECW wrestler to come out here and teach you a lesson. If you lose, you will still be fired. If you win, you will still be fired for inciting this whole thing anyways. So this will be your last night here in WCW. We will go to commercial and then I'll have someone out here to fight you.
Schiller: Ok Jesse, prepare to meet your maker. Here is your opponent, the Tazmaniac.
During the match the Tazmaniac hits numerous suplexes on Jesse. When he goes for his finishing move, Arn Anderson jumped up on the apron and distracted the ref. Ric Flair jumped out of the crowd and hit the ring. Tazmaniac was yelling at Arn. Flair yells at Tazmaniac to turn around. He does and Flair nails him with the belt. Ventura grabs Tazmaniac and delivers a hanging backbreaker and pins Tazmaniac for the 3.
Bischoff: Well, it seems that I get to choose my own CEO for once. Dr. Schiller, you can shove it. The new CEO of WCW is Jesse Ventura.
Ventura: Thank you very much Eric. We do have some time left to go out with a bang before the Great American Bash. I'm thinking a tag match. A ten man tag. The Four Horsemen and Paul Orndorff will take on the Freebirds, Steve Williams and Ron Simmons. Let's get the teams out here we don't have that much time to waste on entrances.
It did not take too long for the match to turn into an all out brawl. Several refs tried to stop it to regain composure, but it did not work. The men kept fighting. However there were only two in the ring fighting. Former challengers for the World Title, Ric Flair and Ron Simmons. Simmons went for a shoulder block but Flair moved out of the way. He chopped Simmons knee and he went down. He drug Simmons to the middle of the ring and applied the figure four. It wasn't too long after Simmons tapped out. None of his partners were available to break the hold.
The men on the floor fought to the back leaving Simmons and Flair in the ring. Hulk Hogan, with a large bandage on his head, came out. Flair saw him and tried jumping out of the ring but Simmons grabbed Flair's legs and held him until Hogan got into the ring. Hogan grabbed Flair and began punching him. He then threw him to the ropes and gave him a big boot. To top it off, Hogan ran to the ropes and leg dropped Flair.
Hogan and Simmons were posing to end the show.
