Laurie Bembenek died today of liver failure at the age of 52.
The notorious woman (at least around here) was convicted of killing her husband's ex-wife, then the conviction was set aside and she plead no contest to second degree murder and received a sentence of 10 years probation.
There has always been questions as to if she actually did it.
The son of the woman who she supposedly killed saw the murder go down and he says that a large man killed his mother.
