A decent bout here. Moser showed obvious signs of improvement as he was able to go the distance with Blaine.

Light Heavyweight Bout
David Ridley Vs Patrick Smith

This fight started off with each fighter sticking to their respective gameplans, but a missed call by the referee angered Smith. Smith began to channel his anger into a more aggressive gameplan; this earned him the win.

Heavyweight Bout
Luke Collins Vs Michael Christopher

GOOD opening bout here. Christopher was clearly prepared for Collins' grapple & submission attack. No submissions were even attempted in the first round due to great defenses by both men. The defensive perfection continued throughout the bout and resulted in a judges decision.

Winner via Split Decision Michael Christopher

Not many people seemed to agree with the decision, but Christopher didn't mind.

Light Heavyweight Bout
Ryan Harrison Vs Chris Garza

Harrison had been on a hot streak going into a match against Garza, who was just itching to get on the card. Harrison was constantly cocky which did nothing but give Garza more motivation to end the bout. Even though Garza was extremely motivated, he was not able to match Harrison's submissions.

Winner Takes on Jerome Carillo
Don Justus Vs Jin Yamato

This match was easily the most highly anticipated yet. Yamato and Justus fought as hard as they could, battling it out on their feet. By later in the first round it was clear both were tired, and Yamato pulled guard. Justus tried to get a ground n' pound going, but Yamato escaped quickly. With Justus down, Yamato grabbed Justus's back and rolled him over for a rear naked choke that would be broken up by the bell. The second round was incredible as they had a bit more energy, but still couldn't stay at a standing stalemate too long. Justus was quickly put into the clinch and slaughtered with knees, but was still able to push away and score a takedown. They stayed at a stalemate for the remaining thirty seconds of the round. Finally, the third round came and the crowd got anxious to get their winner. They would get it soon. Not even a minute into the round, Yamato rocked Justus with a wild right hook and capitalized quickly.

Jacob Blake (c) Vs Mike Fonatine

The main event was decent, but didn't live up to the hype. It went all five rounds, but the crowd seemed bored at various times in the later rounds. Blake was able to keep a strong offense going, but wasn't successful on the ground. Lucky for him, the majority of the time was spent standing. This was the key to his victory.

AMMA's NEXT BEST FIGHTER
Versus - 9:30 EST - Episode 1
'Meet the Team'

The show debuts with an intro that features not only the contestants, but some highlights of some of AMMA's best fights. When the intro concludes, we see a wide shot of a large gym. The place was decked out with a cage, workout equipment, and everything else under the sun.

Richard Ramirez, the host of the show, welcomes us to the first edition. The way the show works is explained, and he proceeds to introduce us to the fighters who will be taking part in the first bout.

Logan Collins Vs Andrew Rooker

Nothing too special about this bout. Logan showed up ready, but Rooker seemed completely lost. All he really seemed to do was bring the fight to the ground, which he couldn't do. Logan ended it quickly, and with a good impression left.

As Logan celebrated, we cut to a video package containing training footage and an interview. "I'm here to fight, but I wouldn't mind being better than my brother," Logan said as they're was a clip of AMMA vet, Luke Collins, shown. The package showed how he'd trained since age 11 for an MMA contract, and he's hoping to achieve it here.

COMMERCIAL BREAK

We return with a shot of two more contestants in the cage, preparing for the next bout. Before it begins, we are introduced to both men with two video packages.

Fredrick Kasper debuts on the small screen with clips of an interview. He tells us he's in MMA to to support his family, and that he's trying to make it big to impress his children.

We cut to the next video package of Greg Fierro before each men have their debut fight.

Greg Fierro tells us he, unlike anyone else, is doing this for pride. He's here to become the greatest Italian Mixed Martial Artist to ever live, and AMMA's the best place to do it.

Greg Fierro Vs Fredrick Kasper

First of all, Fierro was completely disrespectful by not only refusing to touch gloves, but he attacked Kasper when he offered. Fierro was easily the most hated so far as he beat the defenseless Kasper, who had given up his back.

Oh how did Fierro get booed. They're wasn't even a live audience, but the spectators in the gym were upset by the disgraceful performance they had just witnessed.

Now that all of the fights for the episode have been completed, the entire crew moves into the house.

COMMERCIAL BREAK

We return to a shot of all of the contestants carrying suitcases into this large sized mansion. They all seem overwhelmed at their temporary home for the first season, and the race for the best rooms immediately begins.

With each contestant settled in for the season, the debut episode with them eating their first dinner, all but Greg Fierro were in attendance.
