Volume 29 CardSHIMMER Tag Team ChampionshipThe Canadian Ninjas [c] vs. SHIMMER Champion MsChif & Cheerleader Melissa
The two biggest trash talkers on the roster are The Canadian Ninjas without a doubt. As SHIMMER Tag Team Champions, they have the right to. Cheerleader Melissa and SHIMMER Champion MsChif team up to try and take down the egos of the Champions, but they can also take the belts. Can MsChif become a double Champion?
Ayumi Kurihara vs. Sarah Stock
Ayumi Kurihara is arguably the top female wrestler in Japan and she'll get to face arguably the top female wrestler from Mexico. This international battle will have huge Title implications. Stock will try to get back into the swing of things after missing time, while Kurihara will try to earn the respect of the SHIMMER fans. Both women are sure to do what they want in that sense, but only one can get the three count.
Navaeh vs. Sara Del Rey
With Ashley Lane not booked for the next four tapings, it's time for Navaeh to show if she can last on her own. Her first chance will be against one of the best that SHIMMER has to offer in Sara Del Rey. The first SHIMMER Champion has been on a violent tear since dropping the belt and she'll look to steamroll Navaeh. But, the Ohio girl has been impressing around the indies lately and could show us the biggest upset in SHIMMER history.
Daizee Haze vs. Tenille
Another case of a young star trying to break into the main event level here, as SHIMMER veteran Daizee Haze will look to school Tenille. Tenille has impressed so far, but this is sure to be her biggest test. Haze is one of the top threats to the SHIMMER Title and the trainer at the SHIMMER school, so she's as tough a test as you will find.
Madison Eagles vs. LuFisto
"The Punisher" Madison Eagles returns for the first time since having two classic contests with Mercedes Martinez and Sara Del Rey. She's been pegged as a future SHIMMER Champion and a win over an established competitor like LuFisto is a step in the right direction. Meanwhile, LuFisto wants to get back into title contention after losing her shot on Volume 28.
Jessie McKay vs. Nikki Roxx
Two of the most popular girls on the roster will face off for the first time ever. Roxx is an established competitor, who recently came so close to capturing the SHIMMER Title, while McKay is trying to earn her first shot at the main event level. The crowd is sure to be split during this contest, which should be an instant classic.
Misaki Ohata vs. Tomoka Nakagawa
Two of the best women wrestlers from Japan make their United States debuts as they'll bring their Joshi style to Berwyn. They've met before so expect good chemistry between the two. Ohata, the crowd favorite, and Nakagawa, the ultimate heel, will look to steal the show on their first taping.
Annie Social & Melanie Cruise vs. Rachel & Jessica's Excellent Tag Team
The new tag team of Rachel Summerlyn and Jessica James takes their name from the classic Bill & Ted movies. On the other hand, Social and Cruise are as serious as they come and they look to impress while their leader, Wesna Busic, is injured. With this being the only tag team match on the card not for the belts, a win here could get either team a shot.
Ariel vs Mercedes Martinez
This will be a battle of friends, so expect it to be respect based. Martinez has been on a roll as of late, but the same can be said for the "Portuguese Princess". She won a Four Corner Survival that involved Martinez and earned a Title shot. She fell short, but so did Martinez in her one Title shot. A win for either girl here can get them closer to that coveted second shot at MsChif.
Allison Danger vs. Kellie Skater
Kellie Skater considers herself to be a "Rate Tank", although for the most part in her SHIMMER career, she's been on the losing end. SHIMMER's founding mother, Allison Danger, will look to add to Skater's woes. She will be watching her back as well though, as Portia Perez is sure to be nearby.
Four Corner SurvivalCat Power vs. Leva Bates vs. Jamlia Craft vs. Sassy Stephie
Four Corner Survival is usually a way for the roster's under carders to find their niche and move up in the rankings. Here are four of the youngest and brightest women on the roster. Cat Power has been around the longest and has a few big wins under her belt, but one here should vault her into the upper card. Leva Bates will be making her debut here, but she has already gained a cult following on the independents for her comic book inspired costumes. "Jumping" Jamlia Craft will also be making her debut and she's the first graduate of the SHIMMER school. Being trained by Daizee Haze makes us expect big things from the eighteen year old. Lastly, Sassy Stephie, who has been teaming with Kacey Diamond lately, gets a chance to shine on her own here and she hopes to make the best of it.
