I think this is a good message, but I'm not sure that a wrestling company is the best thing to send the message. Velvet Sky, for example, had/has an entire gimmick based around other people not being as attractive as her. It's just a television show, with characters. There is nothing wrong with pro-wrestlers being the ones to send the message. EDIT: It would be like saying the WWE can't do anything "pro-miltary" due to all the times they had gimmicks that were anti-american.

No, it does matter, because you're "Selling" the audience on your characters' personalities. While wrestling is a show, it is taken with a different level of reality than a regular television show is. Obviously this ad is targeted at children which even makes it more significant to find the right people to be in the ad. There are many kids who don't QUITE "get it" that wrestling isn't real. While it's the job of the parents to explain the difference between pro wrestling and reality, we also have to understand that there are a lot of parents who either don't even attempt to do this, or do an extremely poor job at it. As such, I think the effectiveness of these commercials will be limited due to the wrestlers they chose.

Hah, judging from the title, I figured this thread was about TNA asking fans to stick up for the bad name that TNA in particular has to the rest of the wrestling world.
