I don't even know what a Wikileak is. I think its something that people who think the Gov't is unfair, against them, etc etc etc read to hear more garbage about how terrible and horrible our gov't apparently is. I wish they would just spend less time bitching and whining about it and more time moving out of the country. I can promise they wont keep you from leaving.

This is blatantly not even close to what "Wikileaks" is. Why don't you actually do some research on the subject before you assert your moronic, uneducated opinion? The people who need to move from the United States are the people like you who just blindly float along, not questioning what the government does, and encouraging the stealing of our personal liberties.

My take on it is this. What wikileaks did is arguably a very, very bad idea. I'll go along with that argument. The US government leaning on their web host to banhammer them and confiscating their domain named when they haven't even been accused of a crime is ridiculously heavy handed to the point of being frightening.

Alex Jones actually had a guest on the other day who brought up a very good point... Try posting a Beatles song a year ago on the internet. Watch how quickly your site gets taken down. But somehow, posting confidential government documents doesn't get shut down as quickly. It's kind of interesting.

People post illegal music all the time and they're still up. Not sure what the point is. I think they were specifically talking about the Beatles, which were very strictly enforced.

I'm not trying to get off topic or bash a fellow member, but I swear, every other post you make you're shitting on someone's opinion and calling them an idiot. I'm sure you're a nice guy, but you're coming off as a dick. Just my honest opinion. To stay on topic, I think this is going too far. As for the Beatles argument, the record company used to hardly ever take down Beatles songs and stuff, so I don't really understand that argument there.

They are funny but they don't want the truth to come out I guess so they will try to stop it.
Good luck.

What if the federal government employee is talking about it, but in a negative way (like how he/she believes it was bad that the documents were released, etc.)?
I could see a film about this being made one day.

Great! Have fun wasting your vote on someone that wont see the Oval Office without a visitors pass. Oh and that's not opinion...That's a fact! Have fun voting for another puppet that promises "Change" while toting the company line of the many great puppets before him. I'd rather vote for someone who isn't going to completely lie to get into office and then go back on many of the key points he (or she) says. Voting isn't a bet. You're not "hoping to pick the winner." You're selecting the person who you believe will be the best candidate.

This is nothing more than government intimidation.
We are never going to shut anything like this down. Wikileaks is just reporting news. Nothing worse than the New York Times printing what was said in those documents.
The person responsible for stealing the documents has already been arrested.
Julian Assange should not be arrested. Not for posting these documents or the alleged rape. No proof that he did anything criminal. Certainly can't charge him with treason and he didn't send someone to spy on the US, so no espionage charge. They are just trying to charge him with something so they can try to control him.
“During times of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act." - George Orwell
