World Wrestling Federation News:
- WWF officials are said to be happy with how Jeff Jarrett’s debut went at SNME. It is expected that Jarrett will remain in the lower mid-card before being pushed up to the upper mid-card.
- The finals of the King of the Ring tournament will be the main event of the King of the Ring pay per view on June 13th.
- It is being rumored that WWF programming, RAW and Superstars, will be increased from an hour program to hour and half programs. If this were to happen, it would occur after SummerSlam in August.
- There have been talks about having RAW take place outside of Manhattan. The feeling is that RAW would remain mostly in the Northeast area, but they want to get out of the Manhattan Center sooner rather than later.
- In WCW news, Ron Simmons has been released from his contract. Apparently, Simmons was not happy with his position in the company since losing the WCW World Heavyweight Championship in December and asked for his release.

Week 20: May 17th - 23rd WWF RAW 5/17/1993 (Manhattan, NY) 1. Owen Hart defeated Barry Horowitz in 4:25 following a missile dropkick. 2. Bam-Bam Bigelow Interview: Vince McMahon conducted an interview with the number one contender, Bam-Bam Bigelow. Bigelow brags about defeating WWF World Champion two days ago right in the middle of the ring. Bigelow demands that the fans, and McMahon give him the proper credit. Bigelow has shown the world that he is good enough to be the WWF World Champion and he will walk out of the King of the Ring as the World Champion. McMahon brings Bigelow back to reality by saying that Bret Hart is a fighting champion and he is sure that Hart will overcome the odds like he always does. Bigelow does not appreciate this and backs McMahon into a corner demanding respect! Several officials run down to pull Bigelow away from McMahon! 3. The Beverly Brothers defeated PJ Walker/Koko B. Ware in 3:08 when Beau pinned Walker. 4. Smoking Gunns Vignette: Two tough cowboys are coming to the WWF soon! 5. Mr. Perfect Interview: Jim Ross conducted a interview with Mr. Perfect, backstage. Perfect remains adamant that he wants Ric Flair in the ring so he can prove that he is better than Flair once and for all. Perfect knows deep down inside that he is and he knows exactly how to get Flair in the ring once and for all. 6. Lex Luger defeated Virgil in 1:47 following a running forearm smash. 7. Crush defeated Terry Taylor in 6:28 to advance in the King of the Ring Tournament with the Kona Vice submission. During the bout, Jim Cornette cut a promo on behalf of Yokozuna saying that Crush’s win two days ago was a complete fluke and would have never happened if Crush didn’t cheat!

During the bout, Shawn Michaels cut a promo saying that at the King of the Ring he is going to get his belt back. 2. Bret Hart Interview: Jim Ross conducted a interview with WWF World Champion Bret Hart. Hart gives Bigelow credit for pinning him at SNME. Hart realizes that he made a mistake and he is lucky to have the opportunity to learn from that mistake before he wrestles Bigelow for the championship. Hart warns Bigelow that he better not get over confident. Hart isn’t going to just hand over the belt to Bigelow at the KOTR. Hart finishes off by saying that Bigelow is going to have to paralyze him before he is able to pin Hart for three seconds, ever again. 3. Big Bossman defeated Mike Bell in 1:56 following a side walk slam. 4. Jeff Jarrett Interview: Mean Gene conducted a interview with Jeff Jarrett. Jarrett gloats about having a undefeated record, which Gene mentions is only 1-0. Jarrett ignores Gene’s comment by saying that he wants a title shot. Gene chimes in again believing that is a ridiculous demand. Jarrett doesn’t care what Gene believes. Jarrett figures that he is going to be WWF World Champion sooner rather than later anyway. Jarrett tells Gene and the fans that they will need to deal with that fact. 5. Jerry Lawler defeated Max Moon in 3:45 following a pile driver. 6. They are people who enforce the law and will be doing so in the tag division for years to come! 3. Razor Ramon defeated Steve Anderson in 2:35 following the Razors Edge. RAW 5/17 - Decent coverage for Owen against Horowitz. The match seems a bit too long to include the WWF's resident jobber! Very, very nice Bigelow interview. I love what you're doing with him. Not too sure about Vince's comment about Bret as it's boreline biased, but I see what you were going for. It would have been more effective to just have Bam Bam flatten him (e.g. Vader and Monsoon). Meh. Small-ish tag team match, probably would have been a bathroom break here. Beverly's winning makes sense. I do like Koko being used to give the rub to the smaller guys like PJ. Will we be seeing Aldo Montoya soon? Cool, I always like the Smoking Gunns! Hopefully we do see Perfect/Flair again, but only to end their feud. It's a bit too long, considering this started at Survivor Series and they've already been in the ring together. The attraction is starting to wear off. Good win for Luger. Crush! I LOVE Crush. Hopefully we'll see him do well in KOTR, even going on to win it perhaps? Crush/Yoko seems like a cool little feud. It could really put Crush on the map. Cornette's promo was a nice inclusion during the match. Good work. House Shows - Standard stuff. I don't really see The Mountie as a credible IC Title contender by this point. To be honest, I don't even think Tatanka is a decent champion. Neidhart over Lawler is a shocker. Interesting to see Crush go over Yoko, I like that! Big main event that I'd love to have seen. Doink over Owen I can deal with as Doink is a big character during this time period. Michaels/Tatanka is a much better IC bout. Would like to see Michaels take the belt back. Falls Count Anywhere is a bit big for this time period. The rest of the show was great. Superstars - Nice coverage for Tatanka. Well thought to include Michaels. I hope he does beat Tatanka at KOTR. Typical Bret promo. Nice work here. Really anticipating the Bret/Bam Bam match. Meh. Boss Man is pretty irrelevant now. If he'd stuck around past 93 I'd expect him to end up like Santana and Virgil as a jobber. Bit of a waste of TV time, in my opinion. Jarrett was pretty annoying and goofy looking at first. Hopefully he's made to look credible. This promo kinda makes him look stupid, and I don't think it really "fits" Jarrett. Lawler over Max Moon is fine with me. Jannetty beating Flair is hilarious, but does build Flair's feud with Perfect further. Good work. Challenge - Martel. <3 I love that you've scrapped The Mountie's gimmick and brought in the Quebecers. Much better! Decent coverage for Razor. I liked Savage trying to come down afterwards. Seems like something he'd do, the crazy bastard. Steiners win is obvious. Liked the Headshrinkers attack. Definitely something they'd do and adds to their characters. I do like you have a secondary tag team feud to keep the division "relevant". Alright win for Bam Bam. Probably would have done more for him to beat a more established opponent in Challenge's "feature" match.

WWF RAW: Monday 17th May 1993...Owen Hart beating Barry Horowitz is a fine opening contest to RAW. Would have been quite a fun match to open, too. Bam Bam Bigelow's promo was good, just preparing the WWF Championship match for King of the Ring in four weeks. The Beverly Brothers beating PJ Walker and Koko B. Ware is disheartening for Koko, a respected midcarder for the last five years teaming with PJ Walker: unless you're building the future Aldo Montoya, this is upsetting to see Koko paired with an actual jobber. The Smoking Gunns! Good good. Mr Perfect's interview was fine, more hype to a potential King of the Ring match. Lex Luger beating Virgil. Moving on...Good main event win for Crush against Terry Taylor, happy to see Crush advance in the King of the Ring tournament too. I am interested in how you can advance Crush and Yokozuna's feud though. A decent episode overall.
WWF Superstars of Wrestling: Saturday 22nd May 1993...Shawn Michaels getting the rematch against Tatanka was likely to happen. Not bad at all, Tatanka has the title retained though I think. Bret Hart's promo was a nice response to Bam Bam Bigelow's from RAW, setting up King of the Ring. Jeff Jarrett's promo was good, don't build him too quickly though. I can see him as WWF Intercontinental Champion by the end of 1993. Jerry Lawler beating Max Moon is fine. Surprised by the main event, Marty Jannetty with the biggest win of his career! But Flair would have won by disqualification if Mr Perfect attacked him...Alright episode of Superstars, nothing too massive going on.
WWF Wrestling Challenge: Sunday 23rd May 1993...Wonder where The Mountie goes from here. The Quebecers? Good man! One of my favorite tag teams from the 1990s surprisingly. Randy Savage being held back by Razor Ramon? I like, I like. The Nasty Boys' promo was alright. Involvement with the Headshrinkers too. Nothing of note.

Week 21: May 24th - 30th
WWF RAW 5/24/1993 (Manhattan, NY) 1. Yokozuna defeated Big Bossman in 3:09 following the Bonsai Drop. After the match, Yokozuna draped an American flag over Bossman before delivering a second Bonsai Drop. Bossman was put on a stretcher after Crush ran Yoko off. 2. Kings Court w/ Jeff Jarrett: Jerry Lawler conducted a interview with the undefeated Jeff Jarrett (only had one match). Jarrett tells Lawler it is a honor to be standing next to true royalty. Jarrett talks about coming to the WWF to expand his popularity from the country music scene to the world of wrestling. Jarrett is highly regarded in the country world and soon enough he will be mentioned along with the greats in the WWF. Lawler brings up how Jarrett has already rubbed people the wrong way with his attitude, which Lawler likes. Jarrett doesn’t care about the other people. Jarrett doesn’t need to wait his turn to win anything, because right now is his time. Eventually, Jim Neidhart makes his way out to the ring to shut Jarrett up. Neidhart suggests that Jarrett quickly learns a lesson in respect. Jarrett asks who Neidhart is and tells him that “the enhancement talent isn’t allowed to speak.” Neidhart doesn’t take that kindly and decks Jarrett. Lawler leaves the ring while Neidhart hammers away on Jarrett in a corner. Lawler returns to the ring to whack Neidhart over the head with his crown. Owen Hart comes out and springboards off the top rope to dropkick both Lawler and Jarrett! Owen checks on Neidhart while Jarrett and Lawler taunt Owen and Neidhart from the floor! 3. Randy Savage defeated Barry Horowitz in 1:45 following a top rope elbow drop. During the bout, Razor Ramon shared some pre-tape comments where he challenged Savage to one more match. 4. the Quebecers defeated PJ Walker/Steve King in 2:56 when Pierre pinned Walker following a top rope senton splash. 5. Crush Interview: Vince McMahon conducted an interview with Crush. Crush is still not happy with Yokozuna going around injuring his friends. Crush knows that he got a win over Yoko at the last SNME but Crush isn’t going to be happy until he puts Yoko on the shelf! 6. Mr. Perfect defeated Rick Martel in 10:54 following the Perfect Plex to advance in the King of the Ring Tournament.

WWF Superstars 5/29/1993 1. Shawn Michaels defeated Russ Greenberg in 1:04 following a super kick. 2. Smoking Gunns Vignette: Billy and Bart Gunn are coming to the WWF soon! 3. Steiner Brothers defeated Scott Taylor/Brooklyn Brawler in 2:57 when Scott pinned Brawler. During the bout, pre-tape comments by Money Inc. were aired. DiBiase made it clear that they are going to use their intelligence, once again, to beat the Steiner Brothers at the King of the Ring. 4. WWF Intercontinental Champion Tatanka defeated Louie Spicolli in 1:43 following a Samoan Drop. After the match, Shawn Michaels ran down and super kicked Tatanka. Michaels posed with the championship before being led out of the ring by officials. 5. Bret Hart Interview: Jim Ross conducted a interview with the WWF World Champion, Bret Hart. Hart talks about how he is always the underdog and people are expecting him to lose the championship to Bigelow but Hart is determined to prove everyone wrong. Ross tries to continue the interview, but Bam-Bam Bigelow ends up coming out and attacking Hart. Hart tried to fight Bigelow off but was stopped with a huge over head belly to belly suplex. Bigelow ended up taking the top turnbuckle pad off and rammed Hart back first into the turnbuckle several times. Bigelow puts Hart in the tree of woe and chokes Hart from the floor until several officials and lower card talent run down to pull Bigelow away. Bigelow leaves clearly happy injuring the champion. 6. Ric Flair defeated Marty Jannetty in 6:24 with the figure four leg lock. After the match, Flair refuses to let go of the hold. Mr. Perfect runs down to the ring and attacks Flair who is tied up, obviously. Perfect gets several shots on Flair before Flair rolls to the floor and exits through the crowd. Perfect remains in ring saying he will get Flair in the ring to beat him like he knows he can.
WWF Wrestling Challenge 5/30/1993 1. WWF World Tag Team Champions Money Inc. defeated Terry Austin/George South in 2:33 when IRS pinned Austin. After the match, Money Inc. are attacked by the Steiner Brothers on the aisle way. IRS manages to send Rick Steiner head first into the ring post and enters the ring to help DiBiase. IRS has his briefcase and smashes Scott right in the face with it. Money Inc. quickly bailed to the floor as officials run down with a towel, to absorb Scott’s bloody face! 2. Owen Hart Interview: Jim Ross conducted a interview with Owen Hart. Owen’s focus is Rick Martel, a man he has been having issues with for several months. Owen issues a challenge to Martel for a match on RAW. Owen wants to show Martel that he isn’t just Bret Hart’s little brother and that he can fight with the best of them! 3. Razor Ramon defeated the Kamikaze Kid in 1:39 following the Razors Edge. 4. Paul Bearer Video: Paul Bearer hopes that Bam-Bam Bigelow hasn’t forgotten about his Undertaker because the Undertaker will be coming back to put Bigelow six feet underground. Bearer goes to a building to check on the Undertaker’s casket or “resting place” but the casket is open and the Undertaker is missing. Bearer proclaims that the Undertaker is on his way sooner than he had thought. Bearer warns Bigelow to watch his back! 5. Crush defeated Repo Man in 4:42 with the Kona Vice. During the bout, Jim Cornette shared some pre-tape comments. Cornette issues a challenge to Crush to a flag match. Cornette says that Yokozuna wants to destroy another American hero and wave the Japanese flag proudly over another fallen hero. 6. Bam-Bam Bigelow defeated Koko B. Ware in 4:29 following a top rope head butt.

WWF Monday Night RAW: Monday 24th May 1993...Yokozuna beating Big Bossman was likely; I assume that Bossman being stretchered out was your way of taking Bossman off of television. Nice continuation of Crush and Yokozuna's feud, assume that their feud is not yet over. Jeff Jarrett on the King's Court was good, very character advancing and I liked Jim Neidhart interrupting. "The enhancement talent aren't allowed to speak" sounds too Atttitude Era like, though. I'm not too fond of that. Liked Owen Hart making the save, thus the New Foundation are back. Another tag team for the growing division. I'm sure that Barry Horowitz and Randy Savage fought before. The Quebecers winning was likely, building themselves up. Mr Perfect and Rick Martel was a solid main event to RAW, liked Perfect advancing in the tournament. Pretty good show this week.
WWF Superstars of Wrestling: Saturday 29th May 1993...Shawn Michaels with the win was likely. Wonder when the Smoking Gunns will actually debut. The Steiner Brothers with the win is fine, liked Money Inc's insert. It's time for the Steiners to win the WWF Tag Team Championships. Bret Hart's promo was nice, liked Bam Bam Bigelow brawling with him. Ric Flair beating Marty Jannetty was a likely rematch. Heated attack by Mr Perfect afterwards, pretty decent episode of Superstars.
WWF Wrestling Challenge: Sunday 30th May 1993...Money Inc with the win sets up for the King of the Ring, easily. Liked the Steiner Brothers attacking, little things like these makes the Wrestling Challenge watchable. Owen Hart and Rick Martel finally meeting at RAW is good. I wonder when the Kamikaze Kid will actually get his comeuppance? Razor Ramon with the win is ideal, obviously. Paul Bearer's vignette was good, just setting up a Casket match it seems for Bam Bam Bigelow from The Undertaker. SummerSlam or Survivor Series is the place. Crush beating Repo Man was obvious. Looking forward to the Flag match at King of the Ring. Lastly, Bam Bam Bigelow beating Koko B. Ware was smart. Decent episode for Wrestling Challenge, and a good television week.

Crush Interview: Jim Ross conducted an interview with Crush about the flag match challenge made by Jim Cornette on behalf of Yokozuna last week on Wrestling Challenge. Crush tells Ross that he would happy to take on Yokozuna in a flag match so he can proudly wave the American Flag while Yokozuna is left laying on the mat. Crush assures the fans that America will always prevail! 3. Mr. Perfect defeated Mark Starr in 3:25 following the Perfect Plex. 4. Shawn Michaels defeated Duane Gill in 2:56 following a super kick. 5. Money Inc. Interview: Vince McMahon conducted an interview with the WWF World Tag Team Champions. McMahon brought up Money Inc. breaking Scott Steiner’s nose last week on Wrestling Challenge. DiBiase says that they always have a plan to retain their titles and now that Scott is having difficulty breathing, they will take advantage of that and beat the Steiner’s with their endurance. IRS chimes in saying that it was never the Steiner’s destiny to win the titles but instead just a dream that will become a nightmare as they will be forced to live with the fact that they are forever losers. 6. WWF World Champion Bret Hart defeated Repo Man in 5:24 in a non-title match with the Sharpshooter.
WWF Wrestling Challenge 6/6/1993 1. The Quebecers defeated Mike Bell/Reno Riggins in 3:17 when Pierre pinned Bell after a senton splash. 2. Flair wants to focus on more important things like getting the WWF World Championship back rather than be bothered with someone who can’t over the fact that he is just not talented. Gene tells Flair that he has been talking to Perfect and believes that Perfect has come up with a good plan that would surely get Flair back into the ring with him. WWF Monday Night RAW: Monday 31st May 1993...Owen Hart beating Rick Martel is a hot opening contest, hope to see Martel retaining a stable position on the card, perhaps even being more built up the card following this match. Randy Savage's promo was decent, but sort've pointless as Razor Ramon isn't actually in attendance. Regardless, looking forward to their brawl next week on RAW, just hoping that their rivalry ends there. Their feud is repetitive. The Beverly Brothers with the win is fine; never was really that big on the Beverlys though if I am honest. Marty Jannetty beating Jim Powers was fine. I did like the Lex Luger video package, very realistic and easy to imagine. Tatanka beating Terry Taylor is decent, good feature of Terry Taylor. Jerry Lawler beating Kamala would have made for an awkward main event, but decent first round match in the King of the Ring tournament. Not a bad show as a whole.
WWF Superstars of Wrestling: Saturday 5th June 1993...Jeff Jarrett with the easy win against Max Moon to once again put him over, am impressed by his claims, does very well for his persona. Just needs a bit more of a musical touch to it I reckon. Crush's interview was alright, the Flag match is bound to be good. Mr Perfect and Shawn Michaels with wins are fine, although I swear Shawn and Duane Gill have fought many times already in 1993. Money Inc's interview was decent, setting up the match with the Steiner Brothers for the King of the Ring next Sunday. Bret Hart beating Repo Man is fine, a good win for the WWF Champion but not much progression of his feud with Bam Bam Bigelow. Average episode.
WWF Wrestling Challenge: Sunday 6th June 1993...The Quebecers with the win is an acceptable start to this week's episode, Ric Flair's interview was damn good based around his rival Mr Perfect. Again, their feud needs to end relatively soon, six months is a bit too long by this point. Razor Ramon was fine, interested by his rivalry ending match with Randy Savage tomorrow night. Crush with a win is ideal. Nasty Boys' promo was alright, intriguing set up for this tornado tag team match sometime next week. Didn't really put a date on it. Rick Steiner beating Doink the Clown wasn't a bad main event at all. Average episode. The main event situation with Bret Hart and Bam Bam Bigelow has seriously been neglected this week on WWF television, though.

Week 23: June 7th - 13th
WWF RAW 6/7/1993 (Manhattan, NY) 1. Rick Martel defeated Chris Kanyon in 3:10 with the Boston Crab. 2. King of the Ring Report: Mean Gene promotes the WWF World Championship, Tag Team Championship and the King of the Ring Tournament matches. The King of the Ring is live on pay per view this Sunday! 3. Smoking Gunns Vignette: Billy and Bart make their WWF debut next week on RAW! 4. Steiner Brothers defeated Craig Williams/Mark Starr in 2:34 when Scott pinned Williams. During the bout, Money Inc. mocked Scott Steiner’s broken nose and said that once again brains will overcome strength. Just like they did at WrestleMania IX. 5. -Martel over Kanyon is the right call. For the next battle, the Steiners have far more chemistry so them winning is the best way to go. Neidhart over Gill was obvious. Razor Ramon and Randy Savage is awesome! Great main event to a decent show.
-Jarrett over PJ Walker is a good call, obvious too. Marty Jannety over Louie was expected, good momentum off his loss to HBK at Mania. Owen Hart over Riggins was definitely expected. I wouldn't expect many to beat Earthquake, but it's Lex Luger, so its good. Looking forward to KOTR.

WWF Monday Night RAW: Monday 7th June 1993...Rick Martel with the win to kick off RAW is good, happy to see it. The Smoking Gunns debut has been long awaited, looking forward to it. The Steiner Brothers with an easy win. Bret Hart's interview was mere final moment build for the big WWF Championship match at the King of the Ring event this weekend. Jim Neidhart with a win is alright. Razor Ramon beating Randy Savage is great, big rub for Ramon in a hot main event. Overall, a weak show but the main event made up for the undercard.
WWF Superstars of Wrestling: Saturday 12th June 1993...Crush with a win is acceptable. More build for the WWF Championship King of the Ring event with the Bam Bam Bigelow promo. Ric Flair beating Max Moon is good. Tatanka's promo was alright, just preparing the WWF Intercontinental Championship match at the King of the Ring tomorrow. Kamala with the win was acceptable. The Headshrinkers defeating the Nasty Boys is fine, a solid Texas Tornado tag team main event, I like the structure to this week's series of shows, weak undercard, focus on one championship match for King of the Ring, and a feud ending main event. Nice job.
WWF Wrestling Challenge: Sunday 13th June 1993...Jeff Jarrett with a win is good. Yokozuna's promo on Crush was pretty good, looking forward to the Flag match. Marty Jannetty with a win is fine. Mr Perfect's promo was good, just a focus on the King of the Ring tournament, could see Perfect winning it. Owen Hart winning is always good. And decent main event with Lex Luger as underdog to the massive Earthquake. A nice week of television as a whole, looking forward to the King of the Ring.

Flair doesn’t believe that Perfect will get past the first round to begin with. Flair tells Gene that he is going to well, crush, his opponent Crush and make him scream for mercy in the middle of the ring. Flair is determined to get the WWF World Championship back around his waist.

Ramon attempts the Razors Edge but Perfect is able to backdrop Ramon over the top to the floor and celebrates his victory.

Savage is pissed about losing to Ramon on RAW this past Monday but Savage is going to use that anger tonight to beat Lex Luger. Savage says he is going to damage Luger’s face so that Luger will not have anything to brag about. Savage tells Gene that tonight the Macho Man is loose and Luger better be ready for a fight, oh yeah!
Fourth Contest: Lex Luger defeated Randy Savage to advance in the King of the Ring tournament: As soon as the bell sounds they begin to trade right hands with Savage getting the advantage as he bites Luger’s forehead. Michaels taunts the fans as Tatanka is left laying in the ring with several officials checking on him.
Backstage, Mean Gene is with a clearly upset Ric Flair over losing to Crush earlier in the night. Flair doesn’t want to talk to Gene, but does say that tonight he will make sure he leaves the arena with a smile on his face and he knows exactly what will make that happen.

- Alright, King of the Ring. I'm predicting either a Luger win or a Perfect win.
- Lawler winning is alright. I like him but I wanna see Owen get a big push.
- Crush winning is pretty surprising. Made him look pretty good, though.
- Alright, my pick is still in it. Thought Perfect was gonna lose after seeing that interview.
- Alright, my other pick still in it. Would've preferred Savage winning, though.
- Thought Shawn was gonna win so this is good.
- Yikes, Crush could actually win this thing.
- Luger advances to put my pick in the finals, good.
- Would've preferred Money Inc. to win but I'm fine with the Steiners.
- Bret winning is pretty obvious. He should have won, too.
- Luger won, just like I said. I think Bret will beat him for the title, though.

WWF King of the Ring: Sunday 13th June 1993...Good idea for Jeff Jarrett to succeed in the dark match, overcoming Marty Jannetty in a half decent bout. Jerry Lawler and Owen Hart opening the event was interesting, good win for the "King", it makes sense that the King is in the King of the Ring tournament. Owen was lucky enough to make it this far into the tournament anyway. Hopefully this is the end of Lawler's business with Owen. Crush and Ric Flair would not have been a good match in my mind, awkward chemistry and to be honest, I know that you wanted to be original, and aiming for more entertainment rather than actual wrestling ability (the WWF style) but Crush beating Flair would not happen. Flair would probably have a hissy fit, and really how far can Crush's push go? I can never in a million years see him as a potential WWF Champion, and it'd be mediocre for him to win the first televised King of the Ring tournament. Terrible idea. Mr Perfect beating Razor Ramon is probably the match of the night. Perfect with the win was likely, Ramone's had a good run, I really wish he had won the tournament if I'm honest. Lex Luger beating Randy Savage is a good rub for Luger but makes Savage look weak. And Shawn Michaels winning the WWF Intercontinental Championship with help from what appears to be Diesel is for the best. I suppose it was best for Tatanka's undefeated streak to end, his title reign was a bit lacklustre. Filler style semi-final win for Crush against Jerry Lawler, but Lex Luger against Crush sounds like a god awful final match in the tournament. I wish Luger and Perfect had a longer match, both semi-final matches being short hurt the execution of the tournament. You could have halved the WWF Tag Team Championship match length for room in the semi-final bout. The no-disqualification match would have dragged like crazy for sure. And good execution on the Steiner Brothers beating Money Inc. Again, Bret Hart and Bam Bam Bigelow's match would have dragged. And really should have main evented: Luger and Crush is a GOD awful main event. Hart retaining the WWF Championship was best in my mind. And lastly, Luger predictably winning the King of the Ring tournament is fine. Overall, it wasn't a bad pay-per-view, but the tournament was terribly executed and I personally didn't understand half of the decisions on the show. I hope the build for SummerSlam is better.

King of the Ring
Thanks for the Raw reply, ah perfect timing to really start reading this diary. Lawler advancing was nice, and it really fits for him to be this far into it. I could see him making it to the finals, but only losing. Really not too keen on Crush winning, hopefully he loses next round. Mr. Perfect going over was the better call, and Lex was another fine choice, but it made Savage seem a little weaker. HBK winning the title was nice, and it was the right time to end the streak. Diesel? Awesome, keep it up going. Oh, what lackluster matches with the wrong men going over imo. Perfect vs. Lawler would have been much better, but that's just me. Too long of a match for the tag titles, would have made it shorter, as well as the WWF title match, to give more time to the semi final matches. The Steiners and Hart were the best choices to go over imo. A lackluster main event here.....Hart vs. Bam Bam should have gone on last. Lex vs. Crush does not say main event to me in ANY way. Lex getting the win was for the best, but perhaps I feel that someone else could have won. Good show with some questionable decisions.

World Wrestling Federation News:
- Lex Luger winning the King of the Ring tournament has been the plan for several months. Officials tried to build Crush up as a respectable baby face would could’ve won, but it appears that many believe Crush failed at getting the fans behind him. Don’t expect Crush to get a big baby face push as that was apparently the plan prior to the event.
- Officials were very happy with the Tag Team and World Championship matches. It is being reported that Bam-Bam Bigelow injured his left shoulder during his bout with Bret Hart. He may need time off, but it is expected that he will work through the injury until after SummerSlam.
- It is being rumored that Ted DiBiase may be in line for one last singles push. He has been saying that he has one more year left in him and would like to be involved in singles feuds. According to sources, DiBiase will be getting his wish, and that played a part in having Money Inc. lose the titles at KOTR.
- At KOTR, Shawn Michaels debuted his surprise. That surprise ended up being former WCW wrestler Vinnie Vegas, real name Kevin Nash. Officials are high on Vegas who displays great ability for a big man.
- People have been wondering if Ric Flair put up a fight about losing to Crush. Flair, to his credit, had no problem losing to Crush. Flair was asked by Vince McMahon himself and that went over well with Flair.
The following is the official poster for WWF SummerSlam!

-Lawler over Hart was good. Trying to refresh my memory if this is the year Lawler won it. -Shocking victory here tonight. Crush over Flair is good, hoping to see Perfect/Flair at SummerSlam. -Perfect and Luger advancing to the Finals is also good. Looking forward to quite an ending tonight. -Shawn re-winning the IC Championship should be a pretty good one. -Crush and Luger going to the Finals should be a great one tonight. -Hart over Bigelow was good. Hart/Luger is what I'm going with at the Slam. -Luger and Crush to main event was good. Luger winning was awesome. Luger hopefully wins the gold. -Great PPV.

Honestly, I don't see how anyone can pick fault with this pay-per-view. It was your own creation, but still true to reality. The only moderately questionable booking decisions I see are the match times and having Crush go over Flair. I absolutely LOVE Crush but he wasn't big enough at this point to beat Flair. And there's no way that the Tag Title match would get 16 minutes, and the WWF Title match wouldn't even get 20. I mean, Bam Bam and Bret are extremely limited in what they can do together, and dragging it out for so long will really hurt it's overall quality. The tournament was brilliantly booked, and the right people went through each round. The Luger/Crush final is great exposure for both guys. Luger winning was slightly predictable, but anybody else winning just wouldn't have been right. Luger/Hart booked for SummerSlam is HUGE. Can't wait to see that. Also, really glad you took the IC belt off Tatanka and gave it to Shawn. There really is no other man that should hold it here. Great Diesel debut too.

Week 24: June 14th - 20th WWF RAW 6/14/1993 (Manhattan, NY) 1. Yokozuna defeated Chris Kanyon in 1:44 following the Bonsai Drop. After the match, Crush tried to come down to ringside but was prevented by several enhancement wrestlers and referees. Crush was heard telling Yoko that he is going to pay for screwing him over last night at the King of the Ring! 2. Bret Hart Interview: Fans erupted as WWF World Champion, Bret Hart made his way down to the ring to be interviewed by Jim Ross. Ross credits Hart with a great hard fought win over the monstrous Bam-Bam Bigelow last night. Hart thanks the fans for their support before saying that last night he showed the world why he is the best wrestler going today. Hart never gave up and overcame the physical difference to retain the greatest championship to hold. Ross mentions Lex Luger winning the King of the Ring Tournament and how Luger will now square off against Bret Hart at SummerSlam on August 30th for the WWF World Championship. Hart knows that Luger is well structured man who seemingly doesn’t have ounce of fat on him. But, despite how great Luger’s physical appearance may be, Hart believes that his wrestling ability is far and away better than Luger’s. Hart doesn’t care if he bleeds or breaks any bones. He thinks that Luger is scared of ruining his looks. “You can’t beat a man who doesn’t care about hurting himself. I’m here for one reason and that is to keep my WWF World Championship.” 3. The Smoking Gunns defeated Duane Gill/Barry Hardy in 2:15 when Billy pinned Gill following a top rope leg drop while Gill was being held by Bart. 4. Ric Flair Interview: Backstage, Jim Ross attempted to interview Ric Flair, but Flair wasn’t interested in talking to Ross. Instead, Flair searched for Mr. Perfect as it appears Flair has gone nuts trying to destroy Mr. Perfect once and for all! 5. Jeff Jarrett defeated Jim Neidhart in 5:01 following a jumping DDT. After the match, Jarrett retrieved scissors from inside his boot and attempted to cut off Neidhart’s signature goatee until Owen Hart ran down for the save and clotheslined Jarrett over the top rope to the floor! 6. King of the Ring Report: Mean Gene reviews what happened last night at WWF King of the Ring highlighting Shawn Michaels WWF Intercontinental Championship, Steiner Brothers winning the WWF World Tag Team Championships, Bret Hart retaining the WWF World Championship and Lex Luger winning the King of the Ring. 7. Lex Luger defeated Tatanka by count-out in 6:14 when Shawn Michaels and his bodyguard came down and attacked Tatanka. Randy Savage ended up leaving the broadcast table to fight off Michaels and Diesel with a chair. WWF House Show 6/16/1993 (Canton, OH, 2,500) 1. Razor Ramon defeated Marty Jannetty 2. During the bout, pre-tape comments from Jim Cornette and Yokozuna were aired. As Cornette ripped into Crush, we saw Yokozuna eating chicken wings while using the American Flag as a bib! 2. Steiner Brothers Interview: Vince McMahon conducted an interview with the WWF World Tag Team Champions, the Steiner Brothers. McMahon gives props to the new champions for being able to dethrone Money Inc. last Sunday at the King of the Ring. Scott talks about how he sacrificed everything and the pain that he endured before winning the championships. He notes that he broke his damn nose to win the championships! Rick chimes in saying that there is no better feeling than to win the tag team championship with his brother, a man that he has had battles with for his entire life. Scott finishes off the interview stating that unlike Money Inc. they will take on all challengers! 3. The Headshrinkers defeated Steve Taylor/Brian Wilson in 1:09 when Fatu pinned Taylor following a big splash off the top rope. 4. Bam-Bam Bigelow Interview: Mean Gene conducted an interview with a pissed off Bam-Bam Bigelow. Bigelow didn’t wait to hear what Gene had to say to him. Bigelow knows that he lost to Bret Hart at the King of the Ring. Bigelow knows the fans are going to taunt him and that Gene is going to ask him dumb questions. Bigelow believes that he got complacent and too confident but knows that he is the better man than Bret Hart and someday he will be able to prove that to him. Gene transitions into another topic, which is the impending return of the Undertaker which Paul Bearer has been talking about as of late. Bigelow doesn’t believe the Undertaker will be returning at all. He thinks that Bearer is a liar and wants the attention. “I ended the Undertaker, and Paul Bearer needs to accept that.” Gene asks Bigelow what he would do if the Undertaker were to return. WWF Intercontinental Champion Shawn Michaels defeated Mike Jones in 2:55 following a super kick. 2. Mr. Perfect Interview: Jim Ross conducted a pre-tape sit down interview with Mr. Perfect at his home in Minnesota. Perfect says that he has waited a long time for Ric Flair to snap, and he has finally got him to lose his edge. Ever since he was cheated out of his Wrestle Mania moment by Ric Flair back in February he has been waiting patiently for his opportunity to get his revenge and now he knows that he has Flair right where he wants him. Ross asks what Perfect has in mind for Ric Flair. Perfect simply says “When the time is right I will issue my challenge, Jim. When the timing is perfect I will issue the perfect challenge!” 3. Marty Jannetty defeated Barry Horowitz in 2:24 following the Rocker Dropper. 4. Money Inc. Interview: Mean Gene conducted an interview with the former WWF World Tag Team Champions. DiBiase isn’t happy about losing the tag team championships and knows that at some point they will reclaim what is rightfully theirs. However, he reveals that he and IRS have decided to temporary put their tag team title quest on hold. DiBiase and IRS have a common goal to be singles champions and while they will remain a tag team force, they are going to dominate every aspect of the WWF. WWF RAW: Monday 14th June 1993...Yokozuna with the win is good, Yokozuna regaining previously lost momentum against Crush with a win here. Bret Hart's interview was nice, well done with the follow up with Lex Luger, should set up for an interesting feud over the WWF Championship headed into SummerSlam. Avoid using Money Inc or the Steiner Brothers in this one, this one should stick between these two men and Bobby Heenan. The Smoking Gunns with the win was fine in one of their first wins. Ric Flair searching for Mr Perfect was a nice touch. He's angry. Wonder if you go for the fight in the street of Manhatten, New York spot that Shawn Michaels and Razor Ramon (I think) did in 1993/1994. Jeff Jarrett beating Jim Neidhart is fine, not a bad match here, liked Owen making the save for Jarrett attempting to cut the goatee of Neidhart. Lastly, solid main event with Luger with the obvious win against the former WWF Intercontinental Champion. But that's two losses for the previously undefeated Tatanka in the space of two nights: too much demotion. Got Shawn Michaels and Diesel over, sure, should have left them off television until a promo came around promoting Diesel's debut though. Did like Savage fighting off Shawn and Diesel though. Not a bad episode I suppose.
WWF Superstars of Wrestling: Saturday 19th June 1993...Crush with the win makes him and Yokozuna even in their repetitive feud. It needs to end, it would be great if you finished it on Independence Day in some capacity. Like the Yokozuna bodyslam challenge? The image of Yoko eating chicken amuses me. The Steiner Brothers' promo was nice, wonder who their first opposition is. I hope it's the Headshrinkers. Good win for them. Bam Bam Bigelow's interview was nice, looking forward to his feud continuation with The Undertaker now. Buried Alive perhaps? Wouldn't surprise me. I'd just love to see something more original than a Casket match. Rick Martel beating Koko B. Ware is fine, not a bad match. And Mr Perfect with the win is nice, but no follow up with Ric Flair is a surprise. Not a bad episode.
WWF Wrestling Challenge: Sunday 20th June 1993...Shawn Michaels could have used a promo here, not a match. Explain us the actual identity of Diesel. It's too late now, the crowd would have been wanting to know who the massive Diesel is. Badly executed debut. Mr Perfect's promo was nice; again no brawl with Ric Flair is disappointing, looking forward for them to meet though, and hopefully this is the end of their longing rivalry. Money Inc's promo was good, liked the mutual respect by Ted Dibiase to Irwin R. Sychster to go their seperate ways for a while. Nicely done. Jerry Lawler with the win was alright, good to see the King's Court returning. Randy Savage beating Pierre was a nice main evented, the Quebecers do well putting uppercarders over in their team format, keep it up. I hope for a WWF Tag Team Championship reign in future. So, what was the conclusion? The Quebecers stand tall or Savage comeback? Could have been explained better. Pretty interesting episode this week.
