During the bout, Lex Luger called in to discuss how he is going to win the WWF World Championship at SummerSlam and there isn’t anything Hart can do about it. 2. Kings Court w/Randy Savage: Lawler conducted an interview with Randy Savage this week. Lawler notes how much younger and faster Shawn Michaels is then Savage and suggests that the WWF Intercontinental Champion will run circles around Savage. Savage reminds Lawler that he held his own back in January against Bret Hart, but is reminded by Lawler that he lost that match. Savage pulls on his chin to refrain from hitting Lawler. He goes on to say that Michaels is stuck in his own little world and he is looking forward to knocking some reality into him. He wants Michaels to think that he his old and washed up because at SummerSlam, the Macho Man is going to turn back the clocks and beat Michaels 1-2-3 in the middle of the ring, OH YEAH! 3. Diesel defeated PJ Walker in 1:25 following a power bomb. DiBiase said that he still has plans to go alone, but after he caught wind of people saying that the Smoking Gunns are one of the best tag teams going today, he felt that he and IRS needed to show those same people that they are still the best at what they do, despite not having the championships. DiBiase mocks the Gunns by saying when they wrestle, they are going to hog time them and send them back to “whatever farm they came from.” IRS chimes in to say that he will audit their barns! 3. Bigelow continues to deny the claim saying that while he is surprised that Taker is back, he isn’t afraid. Rather, he is looking forward to inflicting more punishment and take credit for ending the Undertaker once and for all. Bigelow mocks Taker to finish off the segment by saying that the Undertaker will Rest In Peace at SummerSlam! 6. Jeff Jarrett defeated Jim Neidhart in 7:44 following a jumping DDT. After the match, Jarrett gets some scissors and cuts off a piece of Neidhart’s goatee as Doink held him. Oh man, I didn't even realize Raw was only 30 minutes. Can't wait to see how Benoit fits in, whoever he is.

WWF RAW: Monday 26th July 1993...Bret Hart opening the show is a refreshing start to the programme. Good win for him against the Brooklyn Brawler. More talk for Lex Luger is cool. Glad you didn't stage an attack. Randy Savage on the King's Court I actually like a lot. I am looking very forward to this feud with Shawn Michaels. Hope you don't have it almost identical to Savage's feud with Razor Ramon earlier this year. Diesel's win was cool. Tatanka sending Diesel out of the ring is cool, but focus first on Diesel being an unstoppable bodyguard of Michaels'. Owen Hart with another win is fine. Rick Martel's promo was pretty decent, interested in his open challenge. The Quebecers with a win I am happy. Ron Simmons beating Doink the Clown got Simmons over as a decent wrestler to be credible against Yokozuna. Overall, seemed like quite a decent show.
WWF Superstars of Wrestling: Saturday 31st July 1993...Randy Savage with a win is cool. Shawn Michaels' confidence is impeccable, but Savage will need to win this feud I reckon. Money Inc's promo was quite nice. Yokozuna beating Virgil...unsurprising. Why Virgil still has a job I do not know why. Rick Martel with a win is cool I guess. Mr Perfect and Ric Flair hype is pretty neat. The Steiner Brothers beating the Beverly Brothers is a decent main event. Repetitive finish with the Natural Disasters' attacking. Only liked the jackets being ripped, just hated Rick Steiner coughing up blood. Not too bad an episode.
WWF Wrestling Challenge: Sunday 1st August 1993...Tatanka with a win is fine. Mr Perfect's interview was pretty cool. Hopefully Perfect's feud with Ric Flair is finally settled in the Steel Cage. Shawn Michaels needed that win, good. The Smoking Gunns with a win is a good move. They need all the momentum they can get. In fact, while the Quebecers are waiting for a WWF Tag Team Championships shot, they should feud the Smoking Gunns. It would also make it less obvious that the face Steiner Brothers will retain the WWF Tag Team Championships against the Natural Disasters to go on and feud the heel Quebecers. Contenders match at SummerSlam if you need an additional match perhaps. Bam Bam Bigelow's promo was good. Quite solid. Undertaker will win at SummerSlam, no doubt. Jeff Jarrett beating Jim Neidhart is a decent main event. A strong week of television.

Week #31: August 2nd - 8th
WWF RAW 8/2/1993 (Manhattan, NY) 1. Lex Luger defeated Kamala in 4:36 with the Torture Rack. 2. Kings Court w/Crush: Jerry Lawler conducted an interview with Crush, who has taped up ribs due to the beating he received at the last SNME. Lawler calls Crush a disgrace and a failure in trying to defeat Yokozuna after saying he would. Crush is clearly emotional as he knows he let the fans down. Lawler believes Crush is weak and pokes Crush in the ribs, which doesn’t go over well with Crush. Lawler also slaps Crush in the face for failing to live up to the fans expectations. Lawler turns his back to rip on the fans saying that they boo Lawler but cheer for someone that lets them down? Lawler turns around and is met with a big boot from Crush. Crush attempts to put the Kona Vice on Lawler but one of Lawler’s odd ball friends, Doink, comes down to the ring. Doink whacks Crush over the back with a crutch and works on Crush in the ribs until Owen Hart and Jim Neidhart run down to the ring to run Lawler and Doink out of the ring. 3. The Quebecers defeated Barry Horowitz/David Williams in 1:06 when Pierre pinned Williams. 4. Diesel/Tatanka Brawl: Backstage, Jim Ross was going to interview Tatanka but instead we see a brawl between Diesel and Tatanka. They tossed each other into the walls several times along with Diesel whacking Tatanka over the head with a chair. Referees and security ran over to break up the fight soon after. 5. The Kamikaze Kid defeated Rick Martel in 2:59 following a top rope moonsault. After the match, a shocked Martel tried to attack Kid but was unsuccessful as Kid escaped to the floor and was greeted by Marty Jannetty as the crowd erupted! 6. WWF SummerSlam 1993 Report: Mean Gene runs down the card, and we get a promo from WWF World Champion Bret Hart. Hart talks about being the underdog despite being the WWF World Champion and says that being the underdog makes him fight harder. He says at SummerSlam he will make Luger tap out and have him realize that Bret Hart is the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be! 7. The Undertaker defeated IRS in 5:27 following a tombstone pile driver. During the bout, DiBiase tried to interfere on his partners behalf but failed each time. WWF Superstars 8/7/1993 1. Razor Ramon defeated Barry Hardy in 2:13 following the Razors Edge. 2. Rick Martel Interview: Jim Ross tried to conduct an interview with a livid Rick Martel, but didn’t get a word in as Martel made it very clear that what happened on RAW was a fluke and that “some Kid” will not get away with making him look foolish. Martel demands for the Kamikaze Kid to fight him on RAW so that Martel can show the world he is not a joke! 3. Mr. Perfect defeated Bill Davidson in 2:04 following the Perfect Plex. During the bout, Ric Flair called in and said that Perfect isn’t the only person looking forward to the cage match. The Smoking Gunns defeated Mike Bucci/Terry Austin in 2:44 when Billy pinned Bucci. During the bout, pre-tape comments from Money Inc. were aired. I really love how far you've gotten with this. The King's Court segment on Raw was amazing. The one house show pitting Flair and Diesel together made me realized they would be an awesome duo. I am really pulling for Luger to win the WWF Championship.

WWF RAW: Monday 2nd August 1993...Welcome to August. Lex Luger beating Kamala is a decent opening contest, good choice of opponent for Luger to get over his submission move, but please release Kamala. He really has nothing left, also because he lost by submission: he's a monster, and he lost by submission: I think you should just let go of him now. Crush on the King's Court, should escalate to Jerry Lawler facing Crush at SummerSlam. Or Doink the Clown. I'd like either of them. Maybe pull what Lawler did on this card and show up injured, giving Crush Doink to face. More build up for the Quebecers. Good. Diesel and Tatanka's feud was interesting. Tatanka's seriously going more downhill, has been since losing his winning streak and WWF Intercontinental Championship. The Kamikaze Kid finally has a win. Glad Marty Jannetty helped, tag team perhaps? Rick Martel hopefully gets more build though. He deserves a solo title reign before he leaves (if he leaves). Bret Hart's promo was pretty decent. The Undertaker beating Irwin R. Schyster was a good main event, Ted Dibiase and Bam Bam Bigelow also involved? Interesting too, with Dibiase trying to cost 'Taker the match; 'Taker was managed by Dibiase early in his career at one point I believe. Hint of the Million Dollar Corporation beginning early? Really good, busy episode of RAW. Try and make every episode like this; don't be afraid to swerve too far from the format.
WWF Superstars of Wrestling: Saturday 7th August 1993...Never knew that the WWF toured the United Kingdom in Summer. Razor Ramon with a win makes him look good. Nice for Rick Martel to be furious about the Kamikaze Kid. I actually like that he beat a lower carder like Martel rather than Razor Ramon. Mr Perfect's win was good, more build to him and Ric Flair. Never let Flair and Perfect fight again after SummerSlam. When is SummerSlam again? The Smoking Gunns with a win is good. Feud with Money Inc could do this new, up and coming team a load of good. Bret Hart and Lex Luger hype is brilliant. Earthquake beating Scott Steiner is a fine main event, I still see the Steiner Brothers retaining at SummerSlam. It's just how is what makes me wonder. Not a bad episode.
WWF Wrestling Challenge: Sunday 8th August 1993...Yokozuna's win was fine, basic hype for Ron Simmons and his feud. Hope Yoko gets to the main event eventually in 1994. He's had a shamefully weak year compared to real life. Marty Jannetty and Tatanka wins are acceptable. Diesel and Randy Savage main eventing made this show. Would have been a solid match. Nice finish with Shawn Michaels and Tatanka involved. Weak show, strong main event. Nice week of television.

During the bout, Jim Cornette called in to talk about how at SummerSlam, Simmons will be just another fallen American Hero as Yokozuna will continue to dominate the WWF scene. 2. Kings Court w/ Doink the Clown: Lawler and Doink are standing in the ring mocking Crush, whom they attacked last week on Kings Court. Doink is sporting a neck brace and a crutch while Lawler rips on the fans for supporting a loser like Crush. Doink chimes in laughing about how the fans were tricked into thinking that Crush would be able to stand up for them only to be left sad and miserable, just the way he likes it. Before they can continue, Crush makes his way down to the ring holding his ribs and is attacked by both Lawler and Doink. Crush fights Doink off before putting the Kona Vice on Lawler but Doink breaks the crutch over Crush’s back again! However, this time Crush isn’t affected and stalks towards Doink who bails to the floor with Lawler! Crush stands on the middle rope screaming that he wants both men in the ring! 3. The Kamikaze Kid defeated Rick Martel in 4:04 by disqualification when Martel refused to let go of the Boston Crab. After the match, Marty Jannetty runs down to dropkick Martel to the floor. Razor Ramon comes down to ringside and catches Jannetty as he tried for a slingshot cross body onto Ramon. Ramon manages to ram Jannetty back first into the ring post and Martel goes back to attacking Kid to close out the segment. 4. Jack Tunney Announcement: Vince McMahon talks to Jack Tunney who has a major announcement regarding the Bigelow vs. Undertaker match at SummerSlam. Tunney says that the fans deserve to know who is truly the better man and believes that the only way for these two to find out who is superior man is have a bout where there is a definite last man standing. Thus, at SummerSlam, they will be competing in a Last Man Standing match where the way you win is by keeping your opponent down for ten seconds. Tunney points out that there are no rules to the match and believes for these two there should be rules in place. 5. WWF World Tag Team Champions Steiner Brothers defeated Russ Greenberg/Duane Gill in 2:43 when Scott pinned Gill. During the bout, pre-tape comments from the Natural Disasters were aired. Perfect says that he is going to be breaking free from the cage that has kept his career in a stand still. Perfect is ready to beat the man, and will do just that at SummerSlam on August 30th. 2. Paul Bearer/The Undertaker Interview: Paul Bearer does most of the talking as he tells Jim Ross that the stipulation Tunney has added is acceptable. Bearer knows that the Undertaker will not be laid to rest by Bigelow and says Taker is prepared to do whatever it takes to make Bigelow Rest In Piece. Taker chimes in saying that Bigelow should call whatever family and friends he has, because August 30th will be the last they see of him. 3. Michaels tells McMahon that he is going to a bigger legend then Savage when he beats the Macho Man at SummerSlam. 2. Jeff Jarrett Interview: Vince McMahon interviewed Jeff Jarrett, who had a piece of Jim Neidhart’s goatee in a plastic bag with him. Jarrett gloats about embarrassing Neidhart by cutting off his facial hair. Jarrett believes that he has made Neidhart slightly less hideous looking. While Jarrett continues to talk, Neidhart sneaks up from behind after coming through the crowd and attacks Jarrett. Neidhart is able to hit a running power slam on Jarrett and shoves his piece of cut off goatee hair down Jarrett’s throat. WWF RAW: Monday 9th August 1993...Ron Simmons beating Repo Man is a fine opening contest, Jim Cornette putting over Yokozuna via phone call is a pretty nice touch. Doink the Clown on the King's Court was nice, decent promo to further the Crush and Lawler feud. Doink with the fake injuries was also a very nice touch. The Kamikaze Kid with another win is great, glad Rick Martel snapped and got himself disqualified rather than losing again cleanly. Marty Jannetty's save was acceptable, but there is no reason for Razor Ramon to get involved. As far as I'm concerned, their feud ended on Saturday Night's Main Event. Looking forward to the first ever Last Man Standing match, but I'm hoping Bam Bam Bigelow and the Undertaker's feud continues still. The Steiner Brothers with the win is acceptable, good try to get the Natural Disasters over in their feud with the Steiners, but Rick and Scott have the titles retained. Basic Bret Hart vs Lex Luger hype is simple and effective. Shawn Michaels beating Owen Hart is a solid main event, nice opportunity for Owen. Randy Savage's interference was a good close to the show. Should be a good match at SummerSlam.
WWF Superstars of Wrestling: Saturday 14th August 1993...Ric Flair with the win is nice. Mr Perfect's promo accomplished everything expected. The Undertaker's promo was good, unfortunately I see 'Taker beating Bam Bam Bigelow at SummerSlam to settle the score and end the feud. Oh well, I guess it has done everything needed to put both men over. Tatanka's win was nice. Diesel will probably beat Tatanka at SummerSlam. It would make most sense. Bam Bam Bigelow's win did the job. Marty Jannetty and the Kamikaze Kid could be an exciting tag team. Razor Ramon shouldn't waste his time here though, really. Crush beating Doink the Clown was a good main event, nice finish with Jerry Lawler getting Doink disqualified. To avenge the feud, I predict we see Crush nail Lawler with the crutch at SummerSlam. Nice job.
WWF Wrestling Challenge: Sunday 15th August 1993...Randy Savage's win was good. Shawn Michaels' phone in was pretty decent. Two weeks to their match at SummerSlam! I see Michaels winning if it's for the WWF Intercontinental Championship. Don't put the belt on the line, otherwise it makes it predictable. Randy Savage does not need the title in this point in his career. Jeff Jarrett's promo was nice, good with Jarrett holding hostage Jim Neidhart's beard. Liked Neidhart making Jarrett eat the goatee though. Jerry Lawler beating Koko B.Ware is fine. A lot of Lawler/Crush hype this week, needs a different feud to build at this stage I believe. The Quebecers need to get some promos running, rather than winning week-in and week-out. Razor Ramon's interview was decent. Again, should be aiming higher than this tag team lowercard feud. Gives every other man in the feud a rub though. Decent main event win, strange mix of 'Taker feuding with Money Inc as well as Bam Bam Bigelow. 'Taker and the Smoking Gunns opposing the origins of the Million Dollar Corporation is a good idea though. A solid week, you capture this era so well.

WWF Monday Night Raw You and Dan have my two favorite active diaries going on right now. I'm a sucker for the 90s. Good win for Faarooq. I hope he wins at Summerslam. Not a bad King's Court segment. The Lawler/Crush feud should be good, as long as it doesn't turn into a Doink/Crush feud. Kid getting another win is good. Liked the ending to it better this time. Good after match with the Marty/Ramon involvement. Can't wait for the Last Man Standing match. I feel that Undertaker will probably win. Good win for The Steiner Brothers. I'm looking froward to their tag team title defense at Summerslam. Decent hype for the WWF title match. Good main event to close out the show. I like HBK hitting Savage with a superkick. Good show.
WWF Superstars Good win for Ric Flair. Nice Mr. Perfect promo. I'm really looking froward to their steel cage match at Summerslam. It should be great. Good promo with Undertaker and Paul Bearer. I love the feuds in this diary. The wins for Tatanka and Bam-Bam did what they needed to do for both of those men. I see Nash winning at Summerslam, though. Marty Jannetty and Kamikaze Kid will be a great team. Good main event. I agree with Dan on how it will all go down at Summerslam.
WWF Wrestling Challenge Decent win for Savage. Can't wait for his match against Shawn Michaels at Summerslam. Not a bad segment with Jeff and Jim. Jerry Lawler and The Quebecers picking up wins is good. I'm starting to like the Lawler/Crush feud. No surprise, all your feuds are great. Decent Razor Ramon segment. Good main event with a solid after math. Loved the double chokeslam. Great week of stuff, Bob. I can't wait for Summerslam.

Kings Court w/Natural Disasters: Lawler started off the segment by making a few rude comments towards Crush saying that Crush would never been seen as royalty but rather just a court jester because he is nothing but a joke! Lawler transitions into the Steiner Brothers who he considers jokes as well. He introduces the number one contenders for the tag titles, the Natural Disasters. Lawler praises the Disasters size and recent dominance, mainly out of fear for himself. He also says that the their size will make it impossible for the Steiner’s to pull off any of their impact moves. Earthquake tells Lawler that even though they aren’t the champions, yet, they have the advantage going in. He feels that their size is too much for the Steiner’s and they will inflict too much pain for the champions to withstand. Really looking forward to Summerslam, Bob. You've built the card really well, and I'm looking forward to reading the outcome for Undertaker vs Bam Bam Bigelow, Shawn Michaels vs Randy Savage, Ric Flair vs Mr Perfect, and Ron Simmons vs Yokozuna. Don't expect Luger to win the belt, although it'd be something different.

WWF RAW: Monday 16th August 1993....Razor Ramon kicking off the show with a win is always a good thing. Marty Jannetty and Kamikaze Kid officially booked to face Razor and Rick Martel for SummerSlam is a really big drop for Razor from him facing Randy Savage at WrestleMania IX, hopefully he moves higher up for Survivor Series. The Natural Disasters' promo did the job. They're going down in two weeks. Crush with a win is fine. At least while Ron Simmons is having his push, they're remaining relevant. The Quebecers with air time! Brilliant. Good promo to put themselves over, too. The Undertaker squashing Terry Taylor is a fine match. You could easily start the Million Dollar Corporation right here. 'Taker's recent situation with Money Inc? Irwin R. Schyster soon having to fight for himself without Ted Dibiase around as much? Terrance Taylor, WCW 1991. All I'll say. Ah, I guess this ten man tag team match will make Razor look better. Would have rather had quantity of matches though. How many matches have we got now? Singular matches with feuds ending I'd have liked more. But hey, lines up plenty good main events for RAW and Superstars of Wrestling in upcoming weeks. Mr Perfect and Rick Martel had a solid main event, the right man won. Solid show.
WWF Superstars of Wrestling: Saturday 21st August 1993...The Nasty Boys winning is a good start, but it's pretty clear that they're only around to make the Quebecers look good, or any teams that need to be brought up properly. Lex Luger's interview was quite good, more promotion to his match with Bret Hart. You're bigging Luger up massively, may I add. Diesel beating Koko B. Ware was acceptable. Koko is past it. Tatanka's interview was alright, this match should be in the ten man tag match, not Jerry Lawler facing Crush. Bam Bam Bigelow's win was acceptable. Ron Simmons' promo as the Lex Express gimmick was dynamite. Imagining Simmons as a heel is also fantastic. Jeff Jarrett beating Owen Hart is a solid main event, liked the conclusion, looking forward to Jarrett facing Bret on RAW. Another solid episode.
WWF Wrestling Challenge: Sunday 22nd August 1993...Randy Savage's win accomplished something. Shawn Michaels' promo was simply bragging. Savage needs a win in some capacity at SummerSlam to shut Michaels up. And Shawn will still get a rub out of it. Money Inc's interview was cool, their match with the Smoking Gunns sounds good. Remember the Money Inc./Million Dollar Corporation idea! It could be worth considering. The Headshrinkers with a win is nice. Hope they get a decent feud with the Steiner Brothers soon. Yokozuna with a win is fine. Liked Jim Cornette's promo on Ron Simmons. Ric Flair and Mr Perfect build is fine. Hope that Ric Flair gets a win on WWF television next week. Last chance to look even against Perfect. The Steiners beating the Beverly Brothers was a fine main event. The Beverlys aren't so impressive now you think about it. A worthy show to wrap up another heated week in the WWF.

WWF Intercontinental Champion Shawn Michaels defeated Dave Donaldson in 2:06 following a super kick. 4. Crush defeated Gavin Roberts in 1:40 with the Kona Vice 5. Rick also says that they have the determination to do whatever to takes to keep the titles they have fought hard to win. They both say that they aren’t going to let down their hometown fans at SummerSlam! 6. Money Inc. defeated the Smoking Gunns in 7:26 when DiBiase forced Billy to submit to the Million Dollar Dream.

Savage leaps off the middle rope to hit a double axe handle but only gets a two count on the cover. Michaels gets out of a scoop slam and pokes Savage in the eyes. Savage struggles out of the corner holding his shoulder, so Michaels instead decides to deliver a shoulder breaker, which severely affects Savage but Michaels only gets a two count. Michaels connects with an arm breaker causing Savage to scream in agony. Michaels signals for the super kick and waits for Savage to pull himself up. Savage turns around holding his injured shoulder and is met with a super kick square on the chin. Michaels covers Savage, even using the tights for extra leverage, to get the three count. (13:41, ***)After the match, Shawn Michaels plays to the camera saying that he is indeed the greatest WWF Intercontinental Champion of all time. Backstage, Mean Gene conducted an interview with Tatanka. Tatanka talked about the brawls he has had with Diesel leading into the event and how Diesel cost him the WWF Intercontinental Championship at the King of the Ring. Second Contest: Crush/Owen Hart/Jim Neidhart/Marty Jannetty/The Kamikaze Kid defeated Jerry Lawler/Jeff Jarrett/Doink the Clown/Razor Ramon/Rick Martel: All ten men brawl in the ring to open the bout until Neidhart and Jarrett are left in the ring to officially start the bout. Jannetty comes off the ropes with a head scissors take down but misses a dropkick attempt after Jarrett hung onto the ropes. Jannetty plants Martel with a tornado DDT and tags in Owen Hart who takes Martel over with a few hip tosses and a backdrop! Owen delivers numerous right hands to Martel in the corner but is stopped by Martel after being dropped throat first across the top turnbuckle. Martel connects with a back suplex and tags in Doink. Doink displays his excellent wrestling by connecting with several German suplexs and a overhead belly to belly suplex on Owen. Doink tries for the Whoopee Cushion but gets crotched by Crush from the apron, which allows Owen to get up and hit a top rope superplex! Owen and Doink both make tags to Crush and Ramon. Ramon doesn’t back down from Crush and they trade right hands. Crush gets the advantage and delivers a big boot to Ramon as he comes off the ropes. Ramon ducks under a clothesline and power slams Crush. Ramon proceeds to taunt the fans and continues with a modified choke slam. Ramon wants to go for the Razors Edge, but Lawler decides to tag himself in telling Ramon to leave the ring. Lawler tries for a pile driver but Crush backdrops out of it. Ramon hasn’t left and tries to attack Crush but is power slammed. This leads to everyone getting involved but they all go to the floor a short time later. Doink tries to toss Lawler a crutch but over shoots him and Crush winds up getting it. The referee is distracted by the brawling on the floor as Crush whacks Lawler over the back with the crutch and knocks Doink off the apron as well. Lawler avoids any further punishment by tagging in Ramon who low blows Crush and holds Crush so that Martel could jab him with the crutch. However, Crush breaks free and Martel hits Ramon on accident! Crush dumps Martel to the floor and puts the Kona Vice on Ramon to win the bout! (7:47, **½) After the match, Crush and his teammates celebrate as they make their way to the backstage area. Back in the ring, Martel argues with Ramon telling him that he is weak. Martel ends up slapping Ramon, who doesn’t take kindly to that and hammers away on Martel. Ramon ends up driving Martel down to the mat with the Razors Edge and leaves his former partners in the ring as the fans start a small Razor chant! Backstage, Mean Gene conducted an interview with WWF World Champion Bret Hart. Hart has been looking forward to this night since June as he wants to be the guy to make Lex Luger face reality that he isn’t good enough to beat him for the championship. Hart is going to prove that having the perfect body doesn’t mean you are the perfect wrestler. Third Contest: Diesel defeated Tatanka: As soon as the bell sounds, they exchange several right hands until Diesel knee lifts Tatanka and works on him in the corner with several more knee lifts and right hands. Tatanka is sent across the ring to another corner where Diesel connects with a running clothesline followed by a series of side elbow strikes and chokes Tatanka for a few moments. Diesel brings Tatanka out of the corner by connecting with a side slam for a two count. Diesel maintains control by putting a chin lock on Tatanka but that doesn’t last long. Tatanka gets up and rams Diesel back first into a corner. Tatanka manages to hit a belly to belly suplex for a two count. Tatanka leaps off the middle rope to hit Diesel with a shoulder for another near fall. Tatanka blocks a backdrop attempt by planting Diesel with a DDT but doesn’t go for the cover! The referee gets to a six count until Taker sits up. Bigelow sends Taker into the ring steps, causing Taker to flip over the steps and onto the floor. Bigelow continues to beat down Taker with a chair by whacking the chair over Taker’s back. Taker sits up again at six and is rolled into the ring by Bigelow. Bigelow connects with a vertical suplex, but Taker sits up quickly. Bigelow plants Taker with a DDT before heading to the top rope, but Taker gets up and grabs Bigelow by the throat to bring Bigelow back to mat with a huge choke slam! Bigelow staggers to his feet at the count of seven in a corner but is quickly met with a running big boot attack by Taker. Bigelow drops to the floor as he tries to recover. Taker follows but Bigelow tosses powder into Taker’s eyes to blind him! Bigelow goes under the ring to find a shovel and ends up breaking the shovel over Taker’s back! Bigelow mocks Taker by pretending to shovel dirt onto Taker’s body while the referee counts. Taker sits up at the count of eight as Bigelow had his back turned. Taker gets up and drops a charging Bigelow throat first across the guard railing. Taker ends up sending Bigelow into the crowd with a big clothesline but doesn’t follow him. Fifth Contest: WWF World Tag Team Champions Steiner Brothers defeated the Natural Disasters to retain the titles: Rick and Typhoon start off the title match with Typhoon showing his strength by casually tossing Rick to the mat a couple of times. Rick ends up having enough of that and hammers away on Typhoon in a corner. Rick sends Typhoon into the ropes and looks for a clothesline but Typhoon doesn’t budge. Rick tries for another one but is stopped by Typhoon with a clothesline of his own. Typhoon comes off the ropes to hit an elbow drop for a two count. Typhoon continues his offense by splashing Rick in a corner and connecting with a vertical suplex before tagging in Earthquake who quickly scoop slams Rick for a two count. Earthquake delivers several shoulder rams in the corner and brings to the middle of the ring to put a bear hug on him. Rick nearly passes out but ends up biting his way out of the hold and delivers a jaw breaker! Rick tags in Scott who delivers several right hands on Earthquake and sends him stumbling into a corner following a dropkick. Scott knocks Typhoon off the apron with another dropkick. Luger sets up for a pile driver on the floor and manages to deliver it after clubbing Hart over the back as Hart tried to block it. Luger covers Hart back in the ring but Hart gets his foot on the bottom rope at two. Luger picks up a lifeless Hart who can hardly stand from the pile driver on the floor and puts Hart in the Torture Rack. After a few seconds, the referee checks on Hart who is out cold and calls for the bell giving Luger the win and the championship! (14:19, **¾) After the match, Luger is awarded the championship and holds the belt in the air with cocky grin. Luger forces the referee to put the championship on him and poses as the crowd boos loudly. A lengthy video promoting the steel cage match is aired. (18:16, ***½) After the match, an emotional Mr. Perfect sits up as the crowd erupts for the man who fought so hard to beat his former friend. WWF SummerSlam 1993: Monday 30th August 1993...The Quebecers beating the Nasty Boys gets Jacques and Pierre over a fair bit. Would have chosen a better pre-show match to be honest. Shawn Michaels and Randy Savage opening the show is such a fantastic start to the show, but I'd have rather Randy win in some sort of anticlimatic manner. Savage I feel was more deserving of a victory, but obviously without winning the WWF Intercontinental Championship, then continued the feud into a Saturday Night's Main Event and concluded it in a steel-cage match where Michaels would win. The ten-man tag team match served its purpose, but now the majority of these feuds will have to be concluded individually. Would have rather seen a few individual matches, seven is not always the right amount for a show in this time period, but it served as a nice filler. Crush with the win is good, a lot of momentum too from beating Razor. But at the same time takes more from Ramon after his descension from uppercard/main event to midcard. Razor's face turn doesn't bother me, he was very over as both a heel and a face, but would have rather seen this being built up a lot better on television (i.e., Razor not getting along with Rick Martel). Also, if Ramon attacked Martel, why would their teammates restrain/attack Razor? Odd booking. Diesel beating Tatanka is fine, nothing special, Diesel needed the win to make his solo style a bit more prominent. Wish Shawn Michaels appeared somewhere though, this match basically screams TV match, not pay-per-view. Just reminded myself, the Undertaker fought Giant Gonzalez at this show in the exact same match type (though it wasn't called the Last Man Standing match). Bigelow losing was expected: this feud was all about the Undertaker and his dominance. The Steiner Brothers were likely going to retain the WWF Tag Team Championships, being that this was their first big title defence, and I sense you're going for a long title run. The Natural Disasters though, wish they were saved for Survivor Series or Royal Rumble instead. They'd have looked a lot better and credible there. Ron Simmons beating Yokozuna is cool but, Simmons has had far too much momentum given to him in this feud. I sense Yoko's never going to get a main event run, which saddens me because he was such an outstanding worker for his size. Hope he breaks the main event division in some capacity still. Oh man, you switched it so that the WWF Championship wasn't main eventing? Hate that decision, I know Ric Flair and Mr Perfect needed the final match spot to finalize their rivalry throughout the year, but it was still more traditional for the big title match to close out the show. Glad that Luger won the belt, but hopefully Bret gets the title back in given time for another run as the fighting babyface champion. Wonder what Luger will do from here. Hopefully a rematch against Bret at a Saturday Night's Main Event, and then something fresh. Mr Perfect seemed likely to win, but again, Flair got momentum raped in this rivalry. Perfect always seemed to get the better of Flair. Oh well, needed a happy ending finish to the pay-per-view. Not a bad show, just some odd decisions.

WWF Summerslam
Hey, we posted this on the same day. (Austin/Cactus > Hart/Luger, btw. ;]) Love the poster, Chaz is great with making posters. HBK going over in the opener was the best call. I'm not too sure who HBK will feud with now. Maybe the ten man tag could have opened the show. The faces going over in a big tag match like this is expected. Crush getting the decision was probably the best call you could make here. Razor Ramon face turn? Love it. Perhaps we'll see the HBK/Ramon ladder match at Mania. Diesel winning is good. I agree with Dan, this doesn't seem like a PPV match. Perhaps this could have been on Wrestling Challenge on Raw. An Undertaker/Bam-Bam Last Man Standing Match would be great. Undertaker winning is more than acceptable. The feud ending now is no problem, don't know what else you could really do with it. Chokeslam through the table is a nice way to end it without having to do anything crazy. Steiner Brothers retaining the tag team titles is good. Ron Simmons winning the match was the best way to go over to finally end the feud. Much better than a count-out, for sure. Throwing Jim over the top rope and waving the American Flag is just icing on the cake, to be honest. I expected Luger to win the belt here, as Hart has had it for as long as I can remember. I don't expect Luger to hold the title past The Royal Rumble, though. Good to see Perfect/Flair close out the show. Good to see Mr. Perfect win. A lot of feuds ended here, so I'm looking forward to see how this progresses. Great stuff, Bob.

I don't know about this. The whole event just doesn't click for me.
This is a big win for Michaels but it's probably not the best decision. Dan has it right. A DQ win for Savage would have done a lot to aid Michaels' character and also lead to an anticipated rematch where he finally goes over.
Random tag match is fine. I probably would have placed this up the card in order to separate some of the main event matches.
Again, agreeing with the majority, Diesel/Tatanka just doesn't seem like a pay-per-view quality match. In my opinion, merging this feud in with the IC belt (considering Tatanka is the former champ) would have made for a better, more meaningful match. Diesel and Shawn Michaels vs. Tatanka and Randy Savage, definitely something that would have been possible at this time. Diesel with the win is good for his development.
Last Man Standing.. hmm. Unsure if I like it debuting so early, but it probably would have been an entertaining match for this period. Undertaker with the win is great, disliked the finish though. I think the announcer's table should be a no-go in 1993.
Happy to see the Steiners retain. In no way should the Natural Disasters get their hands on the gold.
I understand Simmons going over, but I really dislike your treatment of Yokozuna. He should be a monster, someone to be feared. He should be main eventing so you can maximise his potential.
Hart came off incredibly weak in losing the belt. I like Luger, and I think he would have made a great champion, just not in the way you did it. Also, his All-American character probably would have been better in the role. Luger looks like a beast for dethroning Bret, but Bret is a mess at the end of it. I think a match of this caliber should end on an exciting note, a surprise turn of events, a roll-up or finisher out of nowhere, not "oh, Luger piledrives Hart, rolls him in the ring, Torture Rack, it's obviously over, yes it's over."
Unsure whether this should have main evented, but I suppose the stipulation and the backstory more than support it. Glad to see Pefect go over. The write-up was pretty damn good. Thought the match was a little too long, perhaps. The big ending for Perfect should indicate some sort of push going forward now. If not, the finish to this pay-per-view doesn't really make sense.
A mixed view of this for me. I want to enjoy it, don't know whether I do though. You should definitely include more lengthy segments in between matches - promos, interviews, video packages - in order to add new depth to your shows.

The poster looks good. Nice job, chaz. WOW! Big win for Michaels. Would've preferred to see Savage win, though. Don't know if Shawn's up there with Savage quite yet. Marty/Crush/Neidhart/Owen winning is good. Looks like the start to a small Martel/Razor feud, or possibly just turning Razor face. Diesel winning is good. Tatanka bothers me. I never got his undefeated thing. I'm happy Diesel won. Taker beating Bam Bam was good. Nice detail in the match write-up. Steiner's winning is fine. I imagine the match was terrible, though. Simmons winning is a good call. He's a good man to represent America. Didn't expect Luger to win. I'm happy he did, though. I'm not that big a fan of Hart. Glad to see you give Flair/Perfect the main event. Good way to end the rivalry. I'd imagine that Perfect move up and become a challenger for the title.
Good show, bro. I like the way you ended some of the rivalries, especially the Perfect/Flair one. Keep it up.
