Lawler gives Michaels props for beating Tatanka and says that Michaels is the perfect Intercontinental Champion. Michaels gloats about having the championship back around his waist and says that he has the biggest and baddest backup to allow him to keep the championship for a very long time. This leads to Lawler asking about the bodyguard noting that he has been in the WWF for a week and we don’t know his name or anything. Michaels decides that since he is on a respected show like the Kings Court, he will give Lawler the scoop. He says that the man next to him is the most powerful big man in the business today. He runs a different kind of fuel than everyone else. “You see King, this man runs on DIESEL fuel.” Lawler hypes up the man named Diesel for a few moments. Lawler mentions Randy Savage getting involved with Michaels issues with Tatanka last week. Michaels talks directly to Savage, who is sitting at the broadcast table. Ric Flair Interview: Jim Ross conducted an interview with Ric Flair. Flair tells Ross that he is fed up with Mr. Perfect. He says that the tag match on July 17th is fine, but he wants Mr. Perfect one on one in the ring to settle this once and for all. Cornette believes that Yokozuna can not be lifted off his feet and is willing to put his own money on the line to prove this point. Cornette says that this Sunday, which is July 4th, the WWF is going to be on the USS Intrepid in New York and dares anyone to come down and try to body slam Yokozuna. McMahon asks when someone slams Yokozuna, how much money will they get. Cornette tells McMahon that Yokozuna isn’t going to be slammed, but if somehow Yokozuna is slammed, Cornette will give up $25,000. Cornette also hypes up Yoko’s flag match against Crush on July 17th and says that Yoko will stand tall on both the 4th and the 17th proving that Yokozuna is better than all the Americans! 3. The end of the video has comments from both Bearer and Bigelow. Bearer assures Bigelow that the Undertaker will be returning and he will reveal when that will be, on RAW. Bigelow says that he doesn’t believe Bearer and that he has taken Taker out of the WWF for good! 3. Ric Flair defeated Mike Bell in 1:38 with the figure four leg lock. During the bout, Mr. Perfect called in and says that on RAW tomorrow night he will officially issue his challenge to Ric Flair, and it is indeed the perfect way to find out who is the better man. 4. Steiner Brothers Interview/Attack: Jim Ross conducted an interview with the WWF World Tag Team Champions. Rick says “the larger they are, the harder they fall.” Before they can continue the interview, the Natural Disasters run over and begin to attack the champions. They power slam the champions and deliver stereo splashes. The Natural Disasters pickup the WWF World Tag Team Championships and pose with them as the fans boo loudly. 5. Crush defeated Jim Powers in 2:17 with the Kona Vice. 6. Jim Neidhart defeated Doink the Clown by disqualification in 5:37 when Jeff Jarrett came down and low blowed Neidhart. Owen Hart ran down to make the save once again.
WWF @ USS Intrepid 7/4/1993 (New York, NY) Several wrestlers and athletes ended up showing up to the USS Intrepid to attempt to power slam the monstrous Yokozuna. Cornette ended up telling security to allow the man to try and slam Yokozuna, but wanted to know his name. The man ended up being… Ron Simmons! Simmons had a stare down with Yokozuna before successfully power slamming Yokozuna! Cornette couldn’t believe it and Yokozuna rolled to the floor freaking out as new comer Ron Simmons celebrated with everyone on the USS Intrepid!

Interesting layout. Like the fact it was Simmons and not Luger. I'm not too familiar with this time period so sorry for the half-assed comment.

WWF Monday Night Raw Razor Ramon with the win was stupidly obvious. He should have a decent feud with Marty Jannetty, but hopefully you just don't stretch it out too much. Going with the body slam challenge is a great idea. I'd like to see who you pick to slam him, because we know someone will, as it can't be Luger. Natural Disasters vs. The Steiner Brothers should be great, bu Steiner Brothers need to retain their tag team championships. Ted DiBiase defeating Koko B. Ware was a smart move, hopefully you find something useful for Ted. I see a possible Tatanka/Savage vs. HBK/Desiel match. It should be a great match up if it happens. Liked Flair's involvement in the main event which would of been a great match. Perhaps we'll see a six man tag match now on a less of a stage? No Bret Hart? Good show with some interesting developments.
WWF Superstars Rick Martel with the win is decent. Looking forward to Luger/Hart. Nice win for Jerry Lawler. Marty Jannetty vs. Ramon is shaping up to be looking good. Obvious win for Randy Savage. Surprised the Nasty Boys didn't go over. Decent episode, nothing really notable expect the decent main event. Still no comments from Bret? Maybe I missed something?
WWF Wrestling Challenge The Headshrinkers open it up with an obvious win. I love the Bam-Bam Bigelow/Undertaker feud. You've done great stuff with it and I love how you still have Paul Bearer present. Great win for Ric Flair and I'm more than interested to see what Perfect is talking about. I'm guessing a steel cage match due to them working all those house show matches. Good build to Steiner Brothers/Natural Disasters. Nice win for Crush. The tag match could be interesting next week.
WWF @ USS Intrepid I LOVE Ron Simmons debuting and winning the body slam challenge. Great move. Overall, a solid week and I look forward to more.

I love the way you debuted Ron Simmons, but at this point in time, there is little to no chance of him debuting under his own name without a gimmick of some sort.

WWF RAW: Monday 21st June 1993...The Natural Disasters with an easy win is a simple way to kick off RAW, and the King's Court with Shawn Michaels was a nice promo that got over Diesel. Wonder when he will compete next. Razor Ramon's win is fine, don't quite understand why Marty Jannetty made the save, but it's never too late to try and push him I guess. I'm glad to see Yokozuna and Crush settle the score at Saturday Night's Main Event at last. Intriguing main event. Irwin R. Sychster is a decent character, but better off in a team. Good attempt at making him look credible though. Randy Savage and Shawn Michaels feud? Amazing. But I hope Savage wins. He lost some overness in the rivalry with Razor Ramon. Bret Hart beating Rick Martel is fine, nice main event on a relatively weak RAW. Like the laid back nature of Lex Luger's comments to Bret and how they didn't come to fight.
WWF Superstars of Wrestling: Saturday 27th June 1993...Good win for the Steiner Brothers, interesting with the Natural Disasters coming out. You can't pull off the Steinerizer on Earthquake or Tugboat. Ric Flair's promo was nice, just all building up for his final match with Mr Perfect. Doink the Clown beating Virgil is nothing special. The Bam Bam Bigelow promo was solid, with him being haunted by the Undertaker. Kamala and Ted Dibiase with wins is an excellent move. Another weak show, this week is obviously not so regarded with importance.
WWF Wrestling Challenge: Sunday 27th June 1993...Mr Perfect with the win is obviously fine. Crush's interview was good, looking forward to the end of their feud, but I hope Yokozuna beats Crush for heel heat. And it would be different than the usual patriot winning against foreigner technique. The Quebecers and Jeff Jarrett winning is fine. Liked Owen Hart's comments about Jeff. The Smoking Guns I swear were scheduled to debut this week or last week. Looking forward to their official debut nonetheless. Tatanka beating Beau Beverly is fine for the main event, not used to seeing the Beverly Brothers in singles action. Not too bad a show, don't understand why Shawn and Diesel continue to stalk Tatanka: Shawn has his WWF Intercontinental Championship back, it's unnecessary. Not a bad show I guess. Weak week of television.
WWF RAW: Monday 28th June 1993...Razor Ramon with the win is good. Ramon has to beat Marty Jannetty, he's just gained a lot of momentum from the feud with Randy Savage. Yokozuna and Crush hype on the King's Court is smashing to see. Like I said, hopefully he wins. Yes, good idea to promote the debut of the Slam Challenge at the USS Intrepid on July 4th. Satisfying. The Steiner Brothers getting a win is good. More Natural Disasters promotion. Ted Dibiase beating Koko B. Ware is vintage from 1990. Tatanka's interview was alright, still don't like how he's feuding Shawn Michaels and Diesel. Unless Randy Savage makes the save for Tatanka on Diesel and Shawn. Owen Hart winning is fine. The main event should have been longer. A big match with pay-per-view value if given an opportunity. Shawn with the win is great, confused where Savage fits into the feud with Shawn and Diesel though. Just summed up a tag team scenario with Ric Flair there too. Eventful episode. WWF Superstars of Wrestling: Saturday 3rd July 1993...Rick Martel with the win is fine. Still wonder when the Kamikaze Kid will progress up the card. Lex Luger's interview was nice, more hype for SummerSlam building slowly. Jerry Lawler with the win against Virgil is acceptable. Marty Jannetty's promo was fine, gimmicky promo though, and I hope Ramon wins. Randy Savage with the win is good, as is the Quebecers beating the expired Nasty Boys. Not too bad an episode.
WWF Wrestling Challenge: Sunday 4th July 1993...The Headshrinkers need a WWF Tag Team Championship reign. Very underrated I believe. Bam Bam Bigelow and the Undertaker finally meeting is great, just please hold this off, don't even put it on at Saturday Night's Main Event. SummerSlam is where it needs to end. Ric Flair's win was acceptable. The Steiner Brothers' interview was good, and more dominance by the Natural Disasters gives them almighty momentum. Crush with the win is good, Jim Neidhart beating Doink the Clown is an acceptable main event. Liked Owen Hart making the save for Jeff Jarrett too, not a bad episode.
WWF @ USS Intrepid: Sunday 4th July 1993...Should have mixed the athletes and superstars up a bit I think. Also put more legit tough men in there than the Steiner Brothers and Tatanka, with the Natural Disasters, Jim Neidhart, et cetera. Ron Simmons debuting this way is both good and bad: gives him a massive boost, but where to go from here? And hopefully somewhere different than having the feud Yokozuna's having with Crush in about a month's time. Not a bad special.

Week 27: July 5th - 11th
WWF RAW 7/5/1993 (Manhattan, NY) 1. Crush defeated Andy Swanson in 2:03 with the Kona Vice. 2. Kings Court w/Ron Simmons: Jerry Lawler introduces the newest superstar to join the World Wrestling Federation, Ron Simmons. Yesterday afternoon, Simmons was able to power slam Yokozuna on the USS Intrepid. Simmons is greeted with a warm reception from the fans as Lawler chimes in to tell him that he believes what Simmons did yesterday afternoon was unfair. Simmons tells Lawler to shut his trap, which got a good ovation. He says that Yokozuna has been storming around the World Wrestling Federation taking out his fellow Americans and Simmons isn’t going to let that happen anymore. He brings up the flag match between Crush and Yokozuna at Saturday Nights Main Event on July 17th. Simmons says he is going to be in Crush’s corner to make sure that he gets his fair shot and to prevent Cornette and Mr. Fuji from getting involved. Simmons closes out the interview saying that “in the end, America always win.” He gets a USA chant started while Lawler stands in disgust. 3. Doink the Clown defeated Charles Diamond in 1:38 following the Whoopee Cushion. 4. The Smoking Gunns defeated Duane Gill/Don Williams in 2:56 when Bart pinned Gill. 5. Lex Luger Body Showcase: Bobby Heenan hosted the showcase, which saw Luger showoff his “perfect body” to the WWF fans. Luger did several poses while Heenan told the fans various facts about Luger’s body. Heenan finished off the segment by saying that August 31st at SummerSlam will see Lex Luger put the finishing touches on his perfect body by wearing the WWF World Championship out of the arena! 6. Randy Savage/Tatanka defeated WWF Intercontinental Champion Shawn Michaels/Diesel in 10:37 when Savage pinned Michaels following a top rope elbow drop while Diesel was brawling with Tatanka on the floor. After the match, Michaels tried to attack Savage but was back dropped over the top to the floor. Savage ended up grabbing Michaels championship and posed with it to end the segment. 7. Mr. Perfect/Ric Flair Confrontation: Vince McMahon hosted the showdown between the former friends and bitter rivals to close out the show. Perfect came out first, looking rather serious, with a contract in hand for SummerSlam. Perfect states that for the past eight months he and Flair have been involved in a very physical feud. He mentions how he won the Royal Rumble but lost to Flair because he is a coward who had to cheat to defeat him. Perfect tells McMahon and the fans that he has a contract here for him to fight Flair on August 31st, but it will not be contested in a regular match. He doesn’t think that is the perfect match. However, before he can say what match it would be, Ric Flair comes down to the ring while several security guys are behind him. Flair enters the ring and grabs the microphone saying that he doesn’t care what the match is, he will sign the contract. So, Flair grabs the contract and blindly signs the contract. Perfect quickly signs as well and gets right in Flair’s face. Perfect tells Flair that he hopes Flair will be ready because he just agreed to compete inside a fifteen foot steel cage! Flair backs off and flips out trying to get the contract to rip it up but McMahon prevents Flair form doing so. Flair charges towards Perfect who is able to backdrop Flair over the top rope and celebrates with the fans for being able to get the match he wanted!

WWF Monday Night Raw Three squash matches here. No problem, that's the New Generation for ya. Looking forward to the Flag Match, though. Good King's Court here, I guess Simmons is getting a "American Hero" sort of gimmick here. Funny, pretty much the opposite of his 97 one. Decent wins for Doink and The Gunns, I guess. I like how you building Lex/Hart. Hopefully they have a confrontation soon. Wow, ten minute match on Raw. That's huge. Makes up for all the squash matches. Loved the Flair/Perfect segment. Knew you were going with a cage match by all the house show matches. Ha, great reaction from Flair!
WWF Superstars Good build for Yokozuna. Good Natural Disasters promo. Likening the feud with the Steiner Brothers, so far. Decent wins for Marty and the tag champs. Marty vs. Ramon has been a decent feud thus far. Yay, Bret Hart this week! You're doing a great hype job of his match with Lex at Summerslam. Nice win for Ted. I hope you find something for him to do.
WWF Wrestling Challenge Nice win for Jim. Gosh, I feel like I'm saying that too much. Book something wrong for once, Bob. lol. I like the Jeff/Jim feud. I thought there was going to be a tag match this week? Oh well. Oh, I'd love a Bret/Ted feud. That would be great stuff. More good wins here for Ramon and Hart. I wonder if you'll go with the King of Harts gimmick next year. Savage/HBK is a dream, man. Finally, good win for Bam-Bam, and I'm excited to where his feud with Taker goes from here. Good week of stuff.

WWF RAW: Monday 5th July 1993...Crush with the win is a fine way to kick off RAW. Ron Simmons' promo was perfectly time, and good debut for him on actual WWF television explaining his actions. If he takes the "All-American" gimmick Lex Luger received, I wouldn't complain at all. Doink the Clown and the Smoking Gunns winning were fine, good debut for Billy and Bart may I add. Lex Luger's showcase was merely to show off before SummerSlam. Randy Savage and Tatanka teaming to beat Shawn Michaels and Diesel is a bad start for Diesel: this is his first match teaming with Shawn and they lose. Should have won, though Savage and Tatanka have needed some offence against them. Solid main event, and I liked Mr Perfect and Ric Flair's confrontation. A solid episode of RAW, I'd go on a limb to call it the best in recent memory.
WWF Superstars of Wrestling: Saturday 10th July 1993...Yokozuna with the win is a fine opening to this show. More expecting to see Yokozuna win against Crush at Saturday Night's Main Event honestly. The Natural Disasters' interview forwarded their feud with the Steiner Brothers. Was surprised not to see a retribution attack by Rick and Scott on Earthquake and Typhoon. Marty Jannetty with the win is ideal, as is the WWF Tag Team Champions regaining lost momentum after the attack by the Natural Disasters. Bret Hart's interview was fine, more promotion of the feud with Lex Luger, slowly and effectively. Ted Dibiase winning was a nice, simple main event. Weak episode this week I thought.
WWF Wrestling Challenge: Sunday 11th July 1993...Jim Neidhart beating the Brooklyn Brawler is a fine opening contest, liked Jeff Jarrett's comments. Ted Dibiase's interview was good, was this a promo that brought up his face turn? I can't see him winning the WWF Championship though. Just a solo run before his retirement. Razor Ramon and Owen Hart's wins were decent, and a good interview with Randy Savage. Looking forward to a match with Shawn Michaels in the future. It'd be a dream match in some cases. Bam Bam Bigelow with a simple win in the main event gets him over. Another weak show, nothing much occurring this week.

Week 28: July 12th - 18th
WWF RAW 7/12/1993 (Manhattan, New York) 1. Diesel defeated Mark Starr in 0:45 following a power bomb. 2. Kings Court w/Razor Ramon: Jerry Lawler conducted an interview with Razor Ramon this week, with Ramon focusing on Marty Jannetty. Ramon says that Jannetty keeps getting in his business when he should be worried about getting his career back on track. Ramon notes that he defeated Randy Savage to get the respect that he deserves while Jannetty is trying to respect despite being the laughing stock of the WWF. Ramon says that on July 17th at Saturday Nights Main Event, Ramon will make sure Jannetty realizes the mistake he made by messing around with the Bad Guy! 3. Natural Disasters defeated Glenn Ruth/Scott Taylor in 2:10 when Earthquake pinned Taylor. After the match, McMahon attempted to interview the Disasters, but the Steiner Brothers stormed the ringside area and had a pull apart brawl with the number one contenders. 4. Shawn Michaels Interview: Jim Ross conducted an interview with the WWF Intercontinental Champion, Shawn Michaels. Ross asks if Michaels is going to accept Savage’s challenge to a championship bout at SummerSlam. Michaels has heard the rumblings since Savage got a lucky pin fall over him on RAW in a tag match, but says that he is confident that Savage wouldn’t be able to do it again in a singles match. Michaels knows a lot of people are expecting him to decline the offer, but he is instead going to show that he is a fighting champion and decides to accept the challenge! Michaels is prepared to send Savage into retirement and start to take over the World Wrestling Federation his bodyguard, Diesel! 5. Marty Jannetty defeated Ryan Roma in 1:41 following the Rocker Dropper. 6. WWF World Champion Bret Hart defeated Quebecer Jacques in 6:03 by disqualification when Lex Luger attacked Hart while he had Jacques in the Sharpshooter. Officials quickly ran down to the ring to prevent any further conflict between Luger and Hart.
WWF Superstars 7/17/1993 1. Beverly Brothers defeated Jim Powers/Carl Williams in 2:49 when Blake pinned Williams. 2. Crush/Ron Simmons Interview: Pre-tape comments from Crush and Ron Simmons were aired. Simmons has been helping Crush get ready for a big showdown with Yokozuna at SNME later in the day. Crush tells Simmons and the fans that he isn’t going to let down the fans and will overcome the enemy. 3. Randy Savage defeated Terry Austin in 1:52 following the elbow drop. 4. Yokozuna Interview: Jim Cornette does the talking while Yokozuna looks focused. Cornette says that later on in the day, at SNME, Yokozuna will make all the little boys, girls and even adults cry as Yokozuna will destroy Crush and prove that America’s heroes are weak! 5. Ted DiBiase defeated Russ Greenberg in 2:11 with the Million Dollar Dream. 6. Bam-Bam Bigelow defeated Koko B. Ware in 5:03 following a diving head butt. During the bout, Paul Bearer states the Undertaker is on his way to take care of Bigelow!
World Wrestling Federation presents Saturday Nights Main Event XXXIV Date: 7/17/1993 From: Providence, RI Arena: Providence Civic Center Announcers: Vince McMahon and Bobby Heenan Attendance: 7,149
Dark Matches: WWF World Tag Team Champions the Steiner Brothers fought the Natural Disasters to a double count-out Jeff Jarrett defeated Jim Neidhart Ted DiBiase defeated Max Moon
The show starts off with a couple of quick promos by the teams consisting of Bret Hart and Mr. Perfect and their opponents Lex Luger and Ric Flair. Both teams state that they will win the match and are confident about their respective matches at SummerSlam. The video concludes with Crush waving the American flag saying that America will come out on top later on tonight!
Vince McMahon and Bobby Heenan welcome everyone to the show and quickly hype up the first match which will see WWF World Champion Bret Hart team up with Mr. Perfect to battle Lex Luger and Ric Flair! Heenan, not surprisingly, assures McMahon that Lex Luger and Ric Flair will walk out victorious.
Opening Contest: WWF World Champion Bret Hart/Mr. Perfect defeated Lex Luger/Ric Flair by disqualification: The match kicked off with Hart brawling with Luger while Perfect and Flair exchanged right hands and chops on the floor. Once everything got settled, Hart and Luger started the bout. Luger was able to control Hart early on with his strength delivering several power slams and a military press slam for a near fall. However, Hart used his speed to come off the ropes and nail Luger with a clothesline. Luger bailed by tagging in Flair who was quickly back dropped by Hart followed by a side Russian leg sweep before Perfect was tagged in. Perfect dropkicks Flair into a corner and manages to connect with a superplex for a near fall. Perfect attempted the Perfect Plex but Flair was able to low blow Perfect as Luger distracted the referee. Flair stopped Perfect with a knee breaker and began to work on Perfect’s knee with several stomps and knee strikes. After several moments of being worked on, Perfect blocked a backdrop attempt with a swinging neck breaker and tagged in Hart. Hart cleaned house with clotheslines on both Flair and Luger, knocking Luger off the apron. Hart delivered an atomic drop on Flair followed by a running bulldog. Hart signaled for the Sharpshooter and locked it on Flair until Luger entered the ring with a chair and whacked Hart over the back to cause the disqualification. (**½, 10:23) After the match, Luger whacked Mr. Perfect over the head with the chair. Luger grabbed Hart and ended up putting him a submission hold known as the Torture Rack, the first time Luger has applied the move in the WWF! Flair recovered to put an unconscious Mr. Perfect in the figure four while several officials entered the ring to stop the beatings.
Vince McMahon and Bobby Heenan talk about the match we just witnessed with Heenan very happy to see two of his friends get the upper hand over Hart and Perfect. Heenan states that Luger will be the WWF World Champion and Mr. Perfect will regret challenging Ric Flair to a steel cage match!
Second Contest: Razor Ramon defeated Marty Jannetty: Jannetty got off to a quick start hip tossing Ramon followed by a head scissors takedown. Jannetty comes off the ropes looking for a cross body but is instead caught by Ramon who connects with a fall away slam. Ramon continues his offense with a backbreaker and a vertical suplex for a two count. Ramon tried to get the submission win with an abdominal stretch but Jannetty hip tossed Ramon and dropkicked the Bad Guy into a corner. Jannetty charged the corner but was stopped by Ramon who drove Jannetty down to the mat with his variation of a choke slam. Ramon quickly grabs Jannetty and hit’s the Razors Edge to win the bout. (6:02, *¼)
Backstage, Mean Gene is standing with Jeff Jarrett, Jerry Lawler and Doink the Clown. Gene brings up how these three men have developed some kind of alliance in recent weeks to combat Owen Hart and Jim Neidhart. Lawler tells Gene that they formed the alliance to get rid of the Hart name. He believes there are too many Harts in this company. “If there is one Hart here in the WWF, that is far too many.†Lawler says that tonight, Owen Hart squares off against Doink the Clown and says that he knows they will be getting the last laugh tonight! Jarrett chimes in and says that when they are done with Owen tonight, they are coming after Neidhart to cut off the hideous goatee!
Third Contest: Owen Hart defeated Doink the Clown: Doink controls Owen early on with some mat wrestling before slapping the back of Owen’s head. Owen backs Doink into a corner as a result and goes to work on Doink with several right hands before managing to clothesline Doink over the top to the floor. Owen quickly follows up with a slingshot cross body onto the floor to keep the advantage on Doink. Owen rolls Doink back into the ring and heads to the top rope looking for a missile dropkick but Doink sidesteps it and Owen crashes to the mat. Doink connects with a German suplex but only gets a near fall. Doink tries for a gut wrench power bomb but Owen counters with a hurricanrana for a two count. Owen ends up blocking a boot attempt and kicks Doink right in the head, knocking Doink out cold. Owen puts the Sharpshooter on Doink and manages to get the win. (7:35, ***) After the match, Jeff Jarrett runs down to the ring to try and attack Owen but is sent over the top rope by Owen!
Vince McMahon enters the ring to call out Paul Bearer who makes his way down to the ring while pushing a casket down to the ringside area. McMahon mentions how Bearer has been saying that the Undertaker has been on his way but that we haven’t seen the Undertaker since WrestleMania. McMahon seems to be pressing Bearer to prove to everyone that the Undertaker is indeed coming back. Before Bearer can respond, Bam-Bam Bigelow makes his way down to the ring to again refute the statements that the Undertaker is coming back. Bigelow is convinced that the Undertaker will never come back and that he is the man to finally force the Undertaker to never show his face in the WWF ever again. Bearer is finally able to chime in and says “Bigelow, he is on his way. Sooner than you think.. OHHH YESSS.†At that moment, the lights go out and a purple light focuses on the casket at ringside. After a few gong sounds, Bearer opens the lid and… THE UNDERTAKER SITS UP AND STARES RIGHT AT BIGELOW! Bigelow can’t believe this and bails to the floor and into the crowd walking backwards trying to fully believe this has happened. Undertaker is brought into the ring and gets down on his right knee to kneel to the urn that Bearer holds!
A brief video promoting the Yokozuna/Crush feud is aired.
Main Event: Yokozuna defeated Crush in a flag match: A test of strength opens the match with Yokozuna getting the better of Crush. Crush drops down to his knees as Yokozuna taunts the fans. Crush begins to make a comeback but Yoko lets go to hammer Crush over the head with a right hand. Yoko sends Crush into a corner and charges to connect with a big splash. Yoko steps on the bottom rope looking to grab the flag but is cut off by Crush as he tried to reach the second rope. Crush yanks Yoko down to mat and begins to hammer away on Yoko several times. Crush sends Yoko into the ropes and connects with a clothesline that only staggers Yoko. Crush delivers two more clotheslines before finally knocking Yoko off his feet with a leaping shoulder block, which gets the crowd pumped up! Crush attempts a scoop slam but isn’t able to pick up Yoko. Yoko takes advantage with a big belly to belly suplex! Yoko staggers to his feet as he tries for a leg drop but Crush moves out of the way. Crush backs Yoko into a corner delivering right hands before sending Yoko back first into another corner. Crush charges to hit Yoko with a clothesline and Yoko falls flat on his face. Crush goes to grab the flag, but Jim Cornette grabs Crush’s leg. This doesn’t last long as Ron Simmons is also at ringside and grabs Cornette by the collar. Crush is distracted by this as Simmons carries Cornette to the back. Crush turns around and Yoko nails Crush with a savant kick. Yoko connects with another belly to belly suplex followed by a devastating leg drop. Yoko isn’t done. Yoko proceeds to blow snot on Crush, who laid out, before dragging Crush to a corner that has the Japanese flag hanging. Yoko gets to the middle rope and reaches the flag. However, instead of letting that be enough, Yoko hit’s the Bonsai Drop on Crush! (11:08, ***) After the match, Yokozuna bails to the floor as Ron Simmons runs down to the ring to check on Crush. Simmons is left upset while hovering over Crush as Yokozuna celebrates his victory with Jim Cornette on the aisle way to close out the show.
End of show
WWF Wrestling Challenge 7/18/1993 1. Tatanka defeated Mike Bell in 2:11 following a Samoan Drop. 2. SNME XXXIV Recap Video: A brief video highlighting the show from the previous night is aired. It mainly focuses on Luger’s attack on Bret Hart and Crush being unable to defeat Yokozuna. 3. The Smoking Gunns defeated Reno Riggins/Mike Sharpe in 3:42 when Bart pinned Riggins. 4. IRS defeated the Kamikaze Kid in 1:07 following a running lariat. 5. Mr. Perfect/Ric Flair Video: A video highlighting the feud between Ric Flair and Mr. Perfect is aired. It was a pretty lengthy video which concludes with some hype for their cage match happening at SummerSlam! 6. Might be my favourite diary going on the board at the moment. Loved how you brought in Ron Simmons, has he been WCW World Champion at this point? I feel you could do some big things with him. Simmons vs Yokozuna at Summerslam? Flair vs Perfect at Summerslam in the cage match should be great. Savage vs Michaels as well, should be a fantastic match, one would think Shawn will get the win, Savage doesn't really need any belts at this point.

SNME: Thats a pretty big opening match. Cool to see Luger debut his Torture Rack -Second match sounds exciting. Could've stole the show. -The Jarrett/King/Doink alliance does sound weird,I suppose. - Owen vs. Doink- seems like the Sharpshooter was unnesseccary if he KO'd Doink with the kick. - Nice segment by Bearer and The Undertaker. - Good main event. Very interesting to have Ron Simmons come in to play the role of the All American challenger to the mighty Yokozuna.

WWF RAW: Monday 12th July 1993...Diesel with the win to kick off the show is acceptable. Razor Ramon on the King's Court was pretty cool, just hyping for Ramon to beat Marty Jannetty at Saturday Night's Main Event. I just don't see Jannetty winning against this quickly uprising star. Razor could be WWF Champion by WrestleMania X, no mistake about it. Natural Disasters with the win is cool, squash match went a bit too long. Nice brawl with the Disasters and the Steiner Brothers, but how you could do this for another four or five weeks until SummerSlam, I don't know. Shawn Michaels' interview was pretty nice, lacked Diesel though. Randy Savage and Shawn at SummerSlam is perfect. Marty Jannetty's win is fine, Bret Hart beating Jacques was a decent main event, Lex Luger's involvement was cool. Where was Pierre? Not a bad show at all, just average.
WWF Superstars of Wrestling: Saturday 17th July 1993...The Beverly Brothers with the win is cool, much prefer the Quebecers getting a push though. Crush and Ron Simmons would be a class tag team. Randy Savage with an easy win is fine. Yokozuna's interview was cool, he has got to win the Flag match. The heel winning the Flag match is such an underrated concept. Ted Dibiase with the quick win. And lastly, Bam Bam Bigelow beating Koko B. Ware is obvious, but the match would have lasted shorter. Nothing special, preparing Saturday Night's Main Event.
WWF Saturday Night's Main Event: Saturday 17th July 1993...Expected draw between the feuding Steiner Brothers and the Natural Disasters. Mix their feud up a bit though. Jeff Jarrett beating Jim Neidhart came as expected. And Ted Dibiase with another win is fine. Would have liked Dibiase to cut a storyline-beginning promo on this show, if he's having one last run. Great opening contest with Bret Hart and Mr Perfect beating Lex Luger and Ric Flair, the disqualification finish was expected. Good idea to debut the Torture Rack now, liked it. The heels have the advantage. Would be amazing if Luger's hold was billed as being uncounterable. Razor Ramon beating Marty Jannetty was expected. Owen Hart defeating Doink the Clown was for the better, Jeff Jarrett's involvement was too. Progression with The Undertaker returning to confront Bam Bam Bigelow entails a feud extension. I hope it goes past SummerSlam, honestly. Yokozuna beating Crush is great, a solid episode of Saturday Night's Main Event. WWF Wrestling Challenge: Sunday 18th July 1993...Tatanka with the win is cool, no big deal. The Smoking Gunns with another victory as expected. Irwin R. Schyster winning was expected, and a solid tag team main event with the New Foundation beating the odd couple of Jeff Jarrett and Doink the Clown. Aside from Saturday Night's Main Event, nothing much happened this week.

Luger thanks Lawler for what he has to say and finds it refreshing that someone has finally realized that Bret Hart is no match to him. Luger talks about the submission move that he has named the Torture Rack. Luger states that the move is far more damaging than the Sharpshooter and no one will be able to break free from the hold. Bigelow tries to convince McMahon that he isn’t intimdated by Taker by saying that he has already signed the contract and will wrestle the Undertaker at SummerSlam. IRS defeated Bart Gunn in 6:08 following a lariat. After the match, IRS got extra physical with Bart until Billy tried to run down but was cut off by Ted DiBiase. Money Inc. ended up standing tall over the Smoking Gunns to end the show.

WWF Monday Night Raw
The Quebecers, Tatanka, and Jim Neidhart all picking up the wins is good. I'm hoping this Jeff/Neidhart feud takes a different turn soon, I like it, but it seems almost every comment is Jeff just saying he'll cut off his goatee. Good King's court edition and Lex Lugar announcing his Torture Rack to counter-act the Sharpshooter is great and adds a whole new perspective to his feud and match with Bret Hart for the WWF title at Summerslam. Ron Simmons vs. Yokozuna at Summerslam will be a good blow-off to their feud, unless you stretch it to a SNME or the SS for an USA vs. Foreign Wrestlers tag match. I see Yokozuna winning the feud, though I'm having a hard time to see where these men will wind up after it. Great main event and I loved the brawl to close out the show. Decent show with nice build to Summerslam.
WWF Superstars and WWF Wrestling Challenge
Superstars was a pretty uneventful show. Good showing for all the winners, though. Featured some more build to Hart/Lugar, which is nice. Wrestling Challenge was a little better. Good wins for Owen Hart, Doink the Clown, and Mr. Perfect. The Bam-Bam/Undertaker feud is my favorite in the diary. I really have enjoyed the Hart and Flair one too. The whole IC title feud, USA/Yokozuna, Bret/Lugar, and the ones I mentioned before have all been great, good job with that. Decent ending to the show even though I though Ted was going solo now. Raw was the best show of the week, especially with the lackluster Superstars. Even though I can't wait for Summerslam in this, it's shaping up to be a great show.

WWF RAW: Monday 19th July 1993...The Quebecers should be on the road to the WWF Tag Team Champions soon. They were so decent in the ring around this time. If six man tag team matches were popular around this time, a trio with Rick Martel would have been a breath of fresh air. Lex Luger on King's Court was good, nice introduction of the Torture Rack. Now Saturday Night's Main Event is out of the way, I expect to see things literally heating up with Luger and Bret Hart on television before SummerSlam. Tatanka with a win is acceptable. Ron Simmons' interview was nice, Simmons and Yokozuna at SummerSlam should be good, if Simmons takes the Lex Express gimmick, it would work just as well. Yoko needs the win at SummerSlam though, he needs to regain what was lost on July 4th. Jim Neidhart with a win is cool, and a decent main event with Shawn Michaels and Rick Martel going at it, interesting development with Randy Savage, Diesel, Tatanka...a blank name and Scott Steiner getting in a fight. Seemed like a clustered finish to a decent show though.
WWF Superstars of Wrestling: Saturday 24th July 1993...Marty Janetty with the win is cool. Bret Hart's interview basically responded to Lex Luger's RAW segment. I'd still love to see Jerry Lawler feud with Bret in the background, maybe assisting Luger in his offence with Hart. Hart and Luger's feuding...could lead to a submission match? At SummerSlam absolutely not, but on a future Saturday Night's Main Event perhaps? You seem to focus a lot on their submission finishers. Also would love you to touch on the legal nature of Luger's forearm plate in the ring. Lawler with the win is fine. Crush with broken ribs...that's it. I see him dropping down the card when he returns. Ron Simmons has pretty much taken his place. Kamala with the win is fine. He needs a storyline definitely. Randy Savage beating Terry Taylor was expected in a damn good main event. But if you want Taylor to look credible against main event stars like Savage, you need to advance his personality. A lot of your stars are not being given air time to progress their characters and thus, roster depth. Average, uninviting episode.
WWF Wrestling Challenge: Sunday 25th July 1993...Owen Hart with the win is cool. Thing is with Owen's squash matches is that I don't see him winning that easily. I see him as more of an underdog, perhaps you need to think through squash match times more. Bam Bam Bigelow's interview was cool, looking forward to Bigelow's match with The Undertaker, expect to see it continue until Survivor Series though still. Doink the Clown with a win is fine. Ric Flair's interview was good, where does he go from here? More feud progression with Mr Perfect? Mr Perfect with the win is fine. Irwin R. Schyster beating Bart Gnn was a decent main event. I thought Ted Dibiase was having a solo run again. Money Inc and Smoking Gunns feuding is nice though, I suppose. Nothing special this week on WWF television.

World Wrestling Federation News: - As previously reported several months ago, Chris Benoit is scheduled to begin with the WWF following SummerSlam. It is expected that the vignettes will air after SummerSlam so he isn’t forgotten while the hype for the pay per view event occurs. According to sources, he will pushed in the upper mid-card level of the card but perhaps not immediately. It’s not known if he will be a heel or face. - Officials are very happy with how well Ron Simmons has connected with the fans. They felt that Crush wasn’t succeeding at maintaining his push, and thus Simmons has been put in the place that Crush would’ve had if everything had gone according to plan. - Despite Ted DiBiase still teaming with IRS, it is expected that by the fall/winter months DiBiase will be branching off into a singles push, as will IRS. They are back teaming together to keep them relevant on television and could still team up on occasion. The team will not be fully disbanded. - There will be a stipulation added to the Undertaker/Bigelow match at SummerSlam. However, it will not be a casket match. - There have been discussion about possibly turning Razor Ramon baby face. - It is being rumored that WWF programming will feature more segments following SummerSlam. Typically, RAW has 6-7 segments but with an increase time slot to an hour and half that could lad to 8-10 segments. The same goes for Superstars and Wrestling Challenge. - Speaking of Wrestling Challenge, the show has been suffering in the ratings and could be possibly pulled off television. It is being suggested to start airing more memorable main events for a few months to regain an audience. - Below, is the projected card for WWF SummerSlam 1993 on August 30th. Already announced: WWF World Champion Bret Hart vs. Lex Luger WWF Intercontinental Champion Shawn Michaels vs. Randy Savage WWF World Tag Team Champions the Steiner Brothers vs. the Natural Disasters Steel Cage Match: Mr. Perfect vs. Ric Flair The Undertaker vs. Bam-Bam Bigelow Ron Simmons vs. Yokozuna Projected to be announced soon: Diesel vs. Tatanka Crush vs. Jerry Lawler Jeff Jarrett & Money Inc. vs. Owen Hart & Smoking Gunns Also, it is being rumored there will be a eight man tag added to the card to put several wrestlers on the card to give them a WrestleMania like payday. It is being rumored that Razor Ramon and Marty Jannetty will lead the teams.
