I'm trying not to be bias when it comes to scoring but I honestly felt the scoring was right on. Hendo won the 1st and 4th but I think Pettis won the 2nd with his striking and pressing the action. Clearly won the 3rd and stole the 5th with the NINJA KICK FROM HELL!!!

That was a SICK fight. That god damn ninja kick, holy SH*T. That was insane. I do disagree with the decision, though. I had it as a draw, actually. R1 was 10-9 Henderson. R2 was 10-9 Henderson. R3 was 10-9 Pettis. R4 was 10-10. R5 was 10-9 Pettis. All my opinion, of course. How did you guys score it? I'm not really "good" at scoring actual fights, I at least thought it was a split decision. An easy way to do it is this: after each round, ask yourself who won the round and why. Whoever won the round, give him 1 point. I understand it can get a little confusing with 10-9, 10-8, 10-10, ya know. At the end of each round give 1 dude a point. There's a simpler way.

I had it:
R1: Henderson R2: Pettis R3: Pettis R4: Henderson R5: Until the sickest strike ever was landed, I had it dead even. As soon as I saw Ben go down, I knew Pettis won the fight.
That kick... Jesus. I think that outdoes the Anderson Silva Uppercut Elbow as the sickest strike ever landed. Crazy.

Yeah, I've seen a few Capoeira kick knockouts but I think the Ninja Kick from Hell even tops those.

agree with the majority of you... bendo, pettis, pettis, bendo, pettis.
for the record though, 2 and 4 were really close, and 5 was a draw until the kick, and the following control of the remainder of the fight. it really was a great fight... round 4 was one of the best rounds ive seen recently.

thanks to happy pizza for that GIF....
I am going to miss the WEC...I have never been disappointed in a WEC show...every single show is exciting from start to finish. I hope they can bring some of that excitement into the UFC. But my fear is they will fight like a lot of UFC fighters have been fighting..and that is fighting to "win" and not fighting to finish. Which is fine, I'm not trying to sound like one of those fans that need to see a finish EVERY SINGLE FIGHT but it is so nice seeing some innovation in the WEC. Great card tonight.

Pettis won, I think. He won 3 rounds to 2, but it was VERY close. That kick sealed it for him. Henderson was also getting hit with hard shots in round 5. I honestly wouldn't say it was a GREAT or MEMORABLE fight, but it was very competitive.
Cruz is a good striker and all, but I am just a little annoyed by his body movement. I shouldn't complain though. He gets stuff done.

same here...as far as Cruz goes.
I am extremely impressed with the awkward angles he chooses to come in at. I am also impressed with how busy he is able to be during all 5 rounds...but something about his style still "errrrks" me.

Main event was everything I expected. I was on edge the whole time. Can't believe Bendo didn't finish that choke he had in the 4th. Sky is the limit right now for Pettis who is only 23 years old and will continue to get better. I feel Henderson is too cool for his own good. I love him don't get me wrong, but he needs to pump up the aggression a little more in his next fight. Still an amazing performance from both men and a beautiful finish to the WEC era with that "Showtime Kick". Cruz is proving to be unstoppable and his cardio/footwork continue to be his bread and butter. I think a good wrestler that is his size or a little bigger will give him some problems. Love Jorgensen too for hanging in there and sporting a prime Rufio haircut at the weigh-ins. Cowboy's victory over Gibby was expected. I believe I had POP losing the fight. Bummers Mongolian Wolfe lost. Crazy Varner got choked out too. Tough year for him. Actually the undercard sounds like it was pretty sweet so I hope they release a DVD of this one. RIP WEC

I had it: R1: 10-9 Henderson R2: 10-9 Pettis R3: 10-9 Pettis R4: 10-9 Henderson R5: 10-9 Pettis The 4th round was very close but I gave it Henderson as it looked as though he was near submitting Pettis with the RNC. And before that kick, the 5th was very even. An awesome fight though - and a great way for WEC to go out in style.

Now, I'm no't the biggest Pettis fan out there and thought he'd lose to Bendo, but his performance definitely gained a fan in me. I'm not going to say I was Pettis' #1 fan all along, but I actually love the way this guy fights and only wish the best for him in the UFC.

The whole experience was awesome. The Bendo Fan Rally was meh, he just gave a really short speech and not many people came out. Got to meet Reid Harris and Ariel Helwani. The Weigh Ins where good, Q&A was alright not that many good questions, the best part was when Faber said his Mom always said fighting wasn't the answer then he said I guess she was wrong and got a pretty good laugh. I got to meet Faber and Condit besides Wandy and JB Faber was the most inviting and Condit was nice enough to come back out for me even though he was heading back since Faber's line was huge. The event however was beyond amazing, easily the best card I ever saw. The Prelims where better than 90% of the Main Card(last Two fights). Met JB, Bonnar, Munoz, Davis and Buffer, Cain was also there but he didn't care to sign a lot just mainly a few in the front. I also had floor seats, row 5 so that helped too.
I think you have all read about it by now but I don't think there is any video of it yet by Wineland KO'ed Stone with a brutal Slam when Stone tried to Pull Guard, the Slam wasn't that brutal itself but Stone didn't even move for around Ten Minutes and had to be taken out on a stretcher. It was Scary for a little while but Stone checked out of the Hospital okay. In my pictures I got some pictures of him just laying there with all the Doctors, Commission guys and his team around him.
Pickett Vs. Menjivar was a war and just all around exciting fight, from standing to the ground. Pretty close fight too, the crowed had some mixed boos and cheers for the Decision.
Now I can NOT stand Varner and everyone was cheering for him just because he is from AZ and I was born and raised in AZ too and I was the only One booing him, he even got a louder reception than Bendo. To see him get choked out in his home town was AMAZING! Thank you Shane Roller. He is now 0-3-1, let him go.
Pretty bummed out to see Quan lose. But he is still relatively young and has a decent future in MMA, his Ground Game is pretty good but he really needs to work on his stand up because it's just horrible.
I love to watch Cruz fight, just again dominating and making Jorgensen look completely lost. I think he'll go unbeaten at BW, the only Ones who I think can give him some trouble are Faber and KID but I still see him edging out a Decision. He is right though, almost breaking a record of most punches thrown in a fight and people still criticize him for not finishing, what more do you want?
Bendo Vs. Pettis was IMO FOTY, a VERY close fight. I had it R1 10-9 Bendo, R2 10-9 Pettis, R3 10-9 Pettis, R4 10-9 Bendo and R5 10-9 Pettis. I think R4 could of been a Draw but I gave it to Bendo for the Takedown. I think Bedno was winning R5 up till that Knee and the amazing "Showtime Kick" just added to it. Bendo is still very young and needs to make some improvements and he will be the UFC LW champ sometime in the future, I'd love a rematch too. I also loved it when Pettis said he had 10 more Kicks like that for the UFC! The seat I had was PERFECT for the "Showtime Kick", I was just about directly across from the side of the cage where he did that Kick and saw it perfectly.
For anyone who wants to see the pictures I took just go here and click view all albums, they look extremely blurry but when you click on them so there bigger you can see that there not that blurry. My camera just sucks at taking pictures in motion. :s1189.photobucket.com/albums/z432/ShogunStomp/I'm also very sad that WEC is now gone since they never had a boring card but at least the fighters get showcased to a bigger audience and paid better and it couldn't of gone off better any other way. I hope they put this out on DVD too.

Zuffa keeps taking the best MMA Org.'s away from us, first PRIDE and now WEC. Well to be fair, Pride was run terribly and killed itself... it was already dead and buried when Zuffa bought it. And what Zuffa is now doing with the lighter weight classes is great for the fighters and the sport as a whole. Not to mention the UFC is BY FAR the best MMA organisation anyway... ;D
