Title says it all, any fans of Hardcore Punk? I must say, I am indeed, love bands like Cancer Bats, Every Time I Die, Gallows, Sweet Cobra, Madball, Sick Of It All, ect. Been to a few Hardcore gigs this past year, saw Bring Me The Horizon (w/ Cancer Bats), Sick Of It All and Madball, and Cancer Bats with support from an amazing fairly unknown band called Vera Cruz, who were ing great. Love the whole atmosphere of a sweaty room, with guys just moshing the out, hopefully next year I can go to more, cause with being in Scotland, and no where near a Punk/Hardcore scene, its a good hour and a half to get to these gigs, but is it worth it, so yea, if there are any fans, discuss....

I think shows are pretty cool as long as they don't get violent. I don't like the straight-edge groups because their shows get really in violent. I don't have any of this kind of music on my iPod however.

yep, i love it as a genre. gallows and sick of it all are both really good. if you haven't yet, check these bands out, they're my favourites: have heart (specifically the songs to scream at the sun album - waaaay too epic), defeater, killing the dream (JUST CAME OUT WITH NEW CD), dead hearts and for god's sake, check out BANE: fellow wf user doomrider is into hardcore as well. check out deathwish inc., the record label. they are kingpins in the hardcore scene. also, you should know that hardcore godfather keith morris, former member of black flag and the circle jerks, is in a new band called OFF! and their first major release, 'first four eps' is now out. definitely need to check this stuff out, if only for the importance. and lastly, a former wf member who was a good friend of mine for quite a while is in a sick hardcore band out of toronto. i'm warning you though, they're grungy and dirty as - but it's fast and fun: www.myspace.com/molestedyouthhc they are actually produced by the guitarist from the already legendary canadian hardcore band, ed up....these guys are like post-progressive-hardcore. just absolutely amazing, amazing shit. PLEASE check this out, for your own good:

Can't say I know many of those bands. If you consider Bad Religion Hardcore, then sure. If not...can't say I am. I love music though, drop a couple of bands my way someone, I'll give 'em a listen.

PLEASE check this out, for your own good: Thanks bro, always wanted to get into BANE, what with Chris Chasse being a big supporter of them, and with my obvious love for Rise Against, I took notice, but just never really listened, but I will now, and I have seen stuff about OFF!, haven't given anything a listen to, but being a big fan of Classic Punk too like Black Flag and craplike that I would have given them a listen to sooner or later

good stuff.
they bridged off of hardcore/punk with their third album, but i'd still also suggest you check out crime in stereo. they're kinda melodic hardcore, i guess. my favourite band by far.

Oh yea, I've heard a bit about them, although do love the song "Not Dead", but tbh, to me it isn't as heavy as other Hardcore groups, but like you said, Melodic Hardcore, but will deffo give their earlier stuff a listen to now --------- Actually, for anyone who has never heard of Sweet Cobra and Vera Cruz, I thought I'd post a video of each showing just how great they are ; Sweet Cobra Vera Cruz Btw, Vera Cruz have their first EP out on their MySpace page, for FREE, I suggest you guys pick it up, great set of 4 songs, "The Big C" and "The Game" are IMO the gems of the EP

Does anyone think Title Fight counts? I really like them. I am a fan of hardcore/metal concerts though. Maybe even more than the music. Its a very popular underground scene in my town.

Does anyone think Title Fight counts? I really like them. LOVE Title Fight. I'm not really sure what is classified as hardcore...I like a ton bands that are heavy and involves screaming, but I guess a lot of people categorize that as screamo? I don't know, but out of the bands already mentioned in this thread, I really like Bring Me The Horizon.

My favorite hardcore band, Blood For Blood, just reunited - kinda sorta. Rob Lind isn't with them, which just doesn't sit right with me. Anyway, some of my favorites:
Also, the best thing ever: Death Before Dishonor covering "Ya' Still A Paper Gangster" by B4B with Buddha and Rob on vocals. So wish I had gone to this show (I decided not to).

Used to be really into the Straight Edge/Hardcore scene, but left after screamo and all those douches got into it. I love xLooking Forwardx, xDEATHSTARx (all time favorite band) xDisciplex A.D. and a bunch of others. Still listen to it, just dont follow it much anymore.

Hardcore music is terrible. I'm sick of scene kids believing that all of these awful Deathcore and Metalcore bands are 'metal', when they actually aren't. Suicide Silence, Whitechapel, Bring Me The Horizon, Carnifex, etc. are all s****, scene bands with absolutely no talent at all.
So you're telling me that it takes talent to do blast beats for the entire duration of a song, fifty breakdowns, brees, inhales, and pig squeals?
It also takes talent to have THREE guitarists in your s**** band who play in Drop A? Really?
These band's songs have no structure to them and it's basically just random s*** the entire time.
The members of these bands are all p**** scene kids with scene fringes, gauges, snake bites, tight pants, and v-necks who over use the ridiculous term "br00000tal" and feel the need to do the "death claw" in every single one of their awful promo pictures. It's hilarious how they all strive to create this "IMAGE" to attract all of the mindless hipster fags in society to their terrible music. Notice how every Deathcore band looks identical to the other ones? They also have the same terrible logo that you can't decipher from another band's logo. You know, the ones that make you want to puke because they look so ridiculous and disgusting. It's also funny how EVERYONE claims to love this terrible "music" just because it's the cool thing to listen to these days.
Have fun at Warped Tour and Summer Slaughter, fags. The two gayest tours in the history of "music". Well, actually, this stuff couldn't even be considered "music", let alone "metal". I'm pretty sure my toilet produces better music than these hipster fags do.
Oh, and I completely lulz at the fags who hardcore dance to this stuff at concerts, it's ridiculous.
I'm so glad I don't swallow everything that the media and society attempts to shove down my throat. So glad I don't listen to false metal like this!
Death to all false metal!

So what you're saying is that you have no idea what hardcore really is. exactly. none of the bands you named are hardcore. none of them. Heavy bro, I don't think you know what your talking about, your getting Hardcore confused with Emo, which I have nothing aganst either, infact I like some of the early Emo stuff, but there is a huge difference between Emo and Hardcore
