TNA: iMPACT - Thursday March 17th, 2011
The show immediately starts with a video playing on the main screen with Shane McMahon and Paul Heyman sitting in an office.
Shane McMahon: "Hello, and thank you for tuning in to Total Non-Stop Action Wrestling. I am Shane McMahon, the new President of TNA and this is the new Vice President, Paul Heyman. I've worked in wrestling for most of my life and have always had a great feel for the business but was never able to really move forward with big projects and move wrestling to where I think it should be. Around November I heard that Dixie Carter was beginning to doubt the product and just didn't know where to take it. Paul and I have spoken a lot recently about professional wrestling and mixed martial arts and how the two are such a big part of today's entertainment. At the end of Spring last year Heyman pitched a vision of the company to the executives which included some big cuts and major changes with production, the roster, story lines, and just about everything that could be changed would be. Now when I heard that Dixie was possibly looking to sell, I called up Paul and we started throwing ideas around to see if this would be in our best interest to pursue. After a month or so of constant communication I decided to move forward with the paperwork to claim TNA as my own and work closely with Paul to move professional wrestling into a new direction. While all of the changes won't be made over night, you will see a dramatic change in the product in the coming weeks, starting with tonight."Paul Heyman: "Tonight I want to change the world of professional wrestling. I want to move it on to bigger and better things and let it evolve with how sports have changed. Mixed martial arts has grown into something huge and has gained so many followers in such a short period of time that I wanted to do something like that. TNA has the best wrestlers in the business so it shouldn't difficult to showcase them. While the previous regime wanted to focus on the legends, we want to focus on making today's stars into legends.
Last night we saw an amazing PPV with the talent giving it their all, but tonight we want them to give even more. In a rematch from last night, AJ Styles will be defending his Championship against Kurt Angle and Samoa Joe but in an hour long Ironman Match, replacing the the scheduled "Reaction" broadcast. Also, the Motor City Machine Guns, the Hardys, Awesome Kong and the X-Division will all make appearances."Shane McMahon: "Once again, thank you and enjoy the show."- The new TNA video package rolls -

Ric Flair: "Sunday night, my boys here in Fortune did what they had to and each went home with a TNA Championship. Now tonight we had a big celebration planned but four days after winning their matches, Kaz and AJ are put in matches to defend their championships. After Kazarian beats that punk Jay Lethal and AJ retains his title against Angle and Joe, we are going to pop some Champagne in the center of that ring, stylin' and profilin'..."
Matt Morgan's music hits and get comes to the ramp with his TNA Television Championship.
Matt Morgan: "Hey Ric, sorry to come out here and cut you short, but don't you think you should save the real celebration for a time when you have all the TNA gold? Like my TNA Television Championship? Now I know we have had some rough patches in the past, but I'd like to offer my services to Fortune again. I really do have to apologize for my actions before, my head wasn't on straight. How perfect if Fortune was rolling with every TNA Championship? That's got to sound good to you."
Ric Flair: "Listen here Morgan, no one cuts off Ric Flair no matter how much sucking up they do. You do have a good point though. It would be perfect if Fortune had all of the gold, but there is a little problem... I don't think Fortune needs you. So how about I teach you about respect for your TNA Television Championship?"
Matt Morgan: "Ric, come on... This isn't how it has to be. How about I come down there and to show my loyalty, I just hand you the TNA Television Championship... In return you let me join Fortune."
Ric Flair: "You know what Morgan, I think I misjudged you. You might just have your head on straight. Come on down to the ring here and hand over your belt and we will let you back in."Matt Morgan walks down the ramp and climbs up into the ring. One by one he shakes the hand of each member of Fortune and one last time raises his championship in the air.
Matt Morgan: "I really want to thank you for this opportunity Ric, this really means a lot... But there's been a change of plans..."Matt Morgan rushes Ric Flair and hits hits him with a big boot, escaping the ring and back up the ramp.

At Against All Odds Matt Hardy made his debut, interfering in the main event, costing Jeff Hardy the match and the TNA World Championship. Days later, when Jeff Hardy came out to discuss his loss, Matt Hardy struck again but this time with Generation Me getting the best of his brother Jeff once again. With Immortal being in shambles, the only backup he got was from Gunner and Murphy who were quickly taken out by Matt and Generation Me. Months later, Matt Hardy still has yet to explain his actions.
Matt Hardy with Generation Me come down the ramp and into the ring to a very mixed reaction from the crowd.
Matt Hardy: "Now I know I've been here in TNA and have had a bit of a grudge with my brother Jeff and haven't been able to explain myself. I really didn't think I had to, but I'm out here tonight to explain myself. You see when Jeff came to TNA, he didn't tell me that was his plan. He had distanced himself so much from me that I didn't even know him anymore. He came here and seemed to be taking good care of himself... He aligned himself with Rob Van Dam, he forgave Ken Anderson, and seemed to finally be on the right path. Now, he's gotten back into drugs, aligned himself with Jeff Jarrett and Abyss, he had Rob Van Dam hospitalized by Abyss, gave Anderson a concussion and spit on all of his friends. I sat at home and watched it happen long enough. I came in to TNA to get back into wrestling and get my brother back on the right path. I will continue to attack him until he changes his ways and gets back on the right path. Tonight I want Jeff to come out here and apologize to everyone or I'm going to lay him out again."Jeff Hardy comes out with Gunner and Murphy who each have a steal chair.
Jeff Hardy: "Matt, I see why you came to TNA and thanks for all that caring, but I really don't need you here. I was on top, just like I've always been and you had to come in and ruin things. I understand you're jealous but I don't appreciate you taking your frustrations out on me. I'm not a bad man, I'm just smart and know what I need to do to be the best. As I can see you're starting to learn from me that in order to get what you want you have to take it. I will not apologize, but I will let you try to lay me out again. Lets send our boys to the back and have a No Disqualification match right now."
Matt Hardy: "Alright Jeff, you're on."Gunner & Murphy and Generation Me got to the back.
Jeff Hardy vs. Matt Hardy: No DisqualificationJeff and Matt go right after each other starting things off in a fist fight and leading to the outside of the ring. Jeff gets a low blow in on Matt and starts throwing him into different sides of the barricades. Jeff grabs a ladder out from under the ring but gets hit with it when Matt dropkicks it. Matt, rests the ladder on the side of the ring and one of the barricades while he grabs another ladder from under the ring and sets it up.
