Love the bound now Sent from my Lumia Icon using tapatalk I love it because it saves me from using my dragonbone and stalhrim arrows. I should probably use them as I am pretty sure I like 400+ of each, but the bound arrows dispatch basically everything. Yay for being an arrow hoarder on top of Skooma hoarder. I just wonder how much Skooma I've hoarded across all of my characters since Morrowind. You need a Skyrim AA Sponsor

I don't think Bound Bow increases Conjuration that much. At least it doesn't seem like it does much. I finally turned my Archery skill to Legendary so after using the Bound Bow a lot last night it went from level 15 to level 30 fairly fast. I also left my man Marcurio at home so I could fight the Imperial Captains at their bases one on one. I had to take nearly all of my armor off and just let him attack me so that my Block and Restoration skill could go up. Block went up a LOT. From level 15 to level 45 or so. Restoration went up probably 5 levels although it went up more yesterday because I trained it 5xs I believe 10x in the last couple of days (5 for level 87 and 5 for level 88 which I just turned last night). Restoration takes forever to build up so I am probably going to have to train that one every time I level up. I still have plans to enchant a full set of Dragonscale armor. Considering my Light Armor skill is around level 20 (since I turned it Legendary) it should help me level up more since it has 80 more level ups to help with the big level ups. I think I will put my Alteration skill at Legendary after I just don't want to be too weak with the level of people I am fighting. I have a question for you all. If you get a Legendary skill to level 100 can you turn it back to level 15 again? Because if so I will do that with Illusion since it goes up so fast although I don't expect you can do it..

If have to keep casting bound bow over again to get it to up conjuration. Kills with it does nothing to your conjuration skill, just conjuring up weapons/allies does it.

I FINALLY took the plunge into creating a new character in Skyrim.
I just never was bold enough to do so since it would be so crappy going back to square 1 when my main character is level 88 and doesn't have to worry about anything having nearly 2 million dollars, all the best items, armor, weapons, spells, etc.
I spent a good chunk of time playing as my new character who is a female Altmer.
I plan to primarily focus on Shock spells but I will get most of the other spells just in case as well as build up all of my skills so that I can get to a high level.
I ended up saving at level 8.
I got to Whiterun and my next big quest is going to be Bleak Falls Barrel.
I have my trusty companion (archery elf you can befriend in Riverwood) with me so that helps although I've still nearly died a couple times.
Before I saved I bought some better spells so that should hopefully benefit me when I play again later today/tomorrow morning.

I've been playing Skyrim a lot lately (like at least 4 hours a day) and I am having a lot of fun with my recent new character who happens to be a female High Elf. Since my last post, where I was at level 8, I am now level 45! My Enchanting and Alchemy skills are the highest (85 and 83) since I enchant stuff to sell and make potions/poisons to sell and use as well. My Destruction, Restoration, Conjuration, and Illusion skills are the four next highest at level 77, 74, 73, and 72. I use Destruction and Conjuration a lot in battle of course but Illusion spells are mainly just spammed on NPCs when I am walking around. For Destruction, I soley use electric spells although I guess I should know more than 'Flames' just in case.. My Restoration skill is only so high because I've been paying Collete a fortune raising it up. The good thing though is that once I pay her to train me (last time it was nearly $12,000) I can easily get it back by selling her potions and poisons that I would never use or don't have the space to hold onto. As far as the main quests go I am mainly working on the Civil War quest. I last did the Battle for Fort Dunstad (sp?) but I know I have more since it was the first Fort in the 'Reunification of Skyrim' quest. I have not even really started the Companions or College of Winterhold quests but I am official members. I have not even gone to Riften, Falkreach, Morthol, or Markarth yet lol... So that of course means no Thieves Guild. I have not started the Dark Brotherhood quests either and same goes for the Dawnstar quests. I did actually go to Solsteim but it was an accident and I only discovered a couple locations to the east of Raven Rock. I have not gone back since but eventually will. As for the Main Quest the last thing I can remember doing is going to the Throat of the World so I guess I need to do the quest after that. I only have one home (Breezehome) and currently am using Lydia as my follower although eventually I hope to get more homes and switch her out later on. My finances are good enough I guess. I have about $65,000 but should earn a lot more once I make another big batch of potions and poisons and sell them to all the merchants I can find. I have the 'Merchant' perk so I can sell them to anyone who has money so that is a big help. I am most likely going to continue on the Civil War quests and probably complete some more miscellaneous quests later today. It should be fun.

Decided to go back and try to wrap up Skyrim's main story. Then I entered whatever the land Oodiving takes you where Alduin is and after failing about 40 times I said it. Any advice for the mission? World Eaters Eyrie and the battle against Alduin? I'm a level 40 Redguard, I have my two handed and my heavy armor maxed out. I am mid 60's with shooting arrows, and I have high enough magic that I can use healing spells when I can find a corner to hide in. But I cannot ever get past the first hill with the thousand draugers and dragons. It is annoying the piss out of me because I want to finish the damn game. XD

Potions that protect againt fire (and ice?) damage for the dragons. Try to limit your motion as much as possible when first arriving. You may be able keep the 2nd dragon from spawning until the first is weak. And, more importantly, be in constant motion against the horde of draugr. Slowly hack away and move. My main character (a Redguard spellsword) was similarly levelled and it took a 30 minute battle before I could advance past that point. Maybe longer. It's been about 3 years since Rajir finished the main story, so it's a bit fuzzy since he's the only character I've done the main quest with.

I thought I finally had it one of the times, I killed all the draugers and dragons. Well: missed a drauger. No health left, was in the middle of rehealing...that was the end of that story.

Had a similar experience with a draugr archer. I think it was in one of the Labyrinthian areas. I just knew that last arrow I shot was the kill shot, so I immediately switched to a healing spell, but a Fus Ro Dah sent me flying into a wall, then an ebony arrow struck my face to end a 15 minute duel.

^ Sounds good but I don't have Xbox Live (hardly ever play it anymore ) so it would still cost me some money to play it after the initial game purchase since Xbox Live is what like $20 a month or something?

You do have to have an active Xbox Live Gold or PS+ account to play the game.

So without spoilers (from you guys!...I doubt I've played enough to rightfully spoil anything for anybody who has been posting for awhile in here, and I've been playing Skyrim in on/off fashion since I picked it up the night it dropped 4 or 5 yrs ago now).... I'm getting back into my old file, which is really my new file (or 2nd main file- I think my first was a khajit who I got to about level 35-40 or somewhere in there, but I had a ton of glitches and issues with pretty important or neat quests (ie Blood on the Ice ..the typical issues most had prior to patches and stuff, for console users anyway). Right now I'm level 39... forget my character type now though. I think I may just be a redguard, but I'm not positive now... that's what I chose for Oblivion though so I'm confused.
Anyway I am looking to try to get my way back en route to the main questline and I have NO idea where I even should be heading.. I forget who I sided with this time, but it was the opposite of my other file... that's all I recall. Or maybe I haven't chosen a side yet. Does anybody know of some of the main quests and their titles so I can try to find one that I'm currently on and tackle it in timely order? I'm currently doing the East Coast Stocking Company mission w/ the pirates... and about to dock off on that ship. But it's a sidequest.. just a fun one. Curious which quests I should be targeting at this point?~ I have leveled up to 39 but the enemies seem to be harder as result. I have no idea if that's how the process works with Skyrim, or if I'm just finally half-standing a chance against things like Trolls or Giants now that I'm a higher level and have nicer gear and a powerful hammer sorta thing from a Morrowind add-on quest. I also just started the Morrowind add-on and went to Solstein too.. so any fun quests there that anyone wants to ring out, let 'er rip. I haven't played in so long I feel a bit lost even though I'm just exploring and unlocking map blips for now...

I wouldn't worry about where you're "supposed to be" in the game. Part the beauty and appeal of the Elder Scroll series is being able to play the game as you see fit, and not necessarily in any order. www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Skyrim is a good place for quest info, and should help you remember what you were last up to in the game. If you roleplay to any degree in Skyrim, you may want to come up with a reason for your character's absence to flesh out his/her story.
