I know that he's old, but Dan Severn is still very much active in mma today. Currently he is on a 7 fight win streak with another fight coming up in a promotion called Elite 1 MMA & its for the promotions heavyweight title. The date of this fight is 1-29-11.
And he is in the HOF so i don't think it would be a problem with his return.

Wel why not? Severn has finished everyone in that 7 fight win streak Except 1 so i think even though he is 52, he could prolly go toe-to-toe with the young guys in the UFC

He's 52 years old, hasn't evolved AT ALL and has only beaten no-name guys.

I love Severn, one of my all time favs, but honestly. He'd get his ass handed to him with the lvl of UFC fighters there are today. He still fights because he loves it, but he's been out of the UFC since UFC 12, with a single return at 27. If you look at his fight record, he's fought more than anybody, and a few big names here and there, only they were nobodies when he fought them.
I'd still like to see him fight Shamrock again though before he hangs it up, just not in UFC.

I'd love to see him fight older guys ala Couture or freakshow fights like Tony. But I think he's doing well on the indie scene smashing all those cans.  |

Know how everyone says the judging system really needs a change, that they need guys who know what they are doing?
Look no further than Dan Severn. Put Dan Severn, Randy Couture, and Jens Pulver as your UFC judges. I doubt there'd be any "WTF FIGHT ARE THEY WATCHING?!" like the TUF finale with three guys who've fought hundreds of fights and actually know what they are doing.
