Today is the first day that I have really began to pay attention to the Mattel line for the mere fact that I picked up the Legends 2-Pack Bushwhackers as I saw some guy hiding two sets so I picked one up after he left figuring there may be some value since the guy was trying to hide them. With that being said, is there any value to the figures besides the 1/1000 collection? I mean, I love the hunt of looking and like how Jakks always has those one or two figures that come one a crate but does Mattel do that with their figures at all? If so, what are some of the ones I should be looking out for? And was it worth picking up the Bushwhackers or was this just a fanboy wanting to hide regular figures?

There aren't any rare Mattel figures.
I don't know why he hid them.

Haha, that was my guess. Oh well, at least I have some nice looking Bushwhackers. That being said, I guess I will start to exclusively keep an eye out for the 1/1000 figures then. Thanks!

Probably a guy who didn't have the money on him and was hiding them to come back to later.

I can understand that but two of them? I mean, unless he wanted a loose set and MOC set. I feel kind of bad now though, maybe I should take them back and hide them for him lol.

The 1/1000 figures only go for around retail price or a couple dollars more so don't waste your time. Unless its a #1, #1,000 or is wrestler related (Austin #316, Mysterio #619 etc.) they tend to go for more.

Lol, well then that is good to know too. I think I might still pick them up for future sales though. I picked up sets of the original BCA series 1 figures and made quite a bit of money on them when I finally sold them off so the 1/1000 series may be a good investment... Or suck. Time will tell lol.

The FlexForce figures are worth a lot of money. I would get them.

Maybe he was hiding them so we can get Legends 2 pack series 2. Ha ha. My advise is buy figures because you like them not for profit.

benjamin, I get that you don't collect Mattels. But this thread of yours is all about proclaiming that you will now be making a concious effort to look for 1/1000s, not because you actually like the toyline, but because you think you can make money off of it. That sounds like scalping to me.
So yeah, I highly recommend Flex Force figures, check out the after market for it.

Wow he was more than likely just hiding them so he could come back to get the figures later

Do yourself a favor here . . . delete your account and start another under a different name. This is a great place to be for fig info, but there's no way you're gonna live this one down. Not everyone collects rare figs just for the sake of scalping them, I know, but once you get branded as that, you're shot.

You'd want to get Flaxforce Shamu then, the king of the rare figs, the Holy Grail.
I bet the Holy Grail can't do a 619 off the top rope, no sir.
